My favorite Sunday breakfast spot in Tucson. Large variety of local vendors and local farmers selling produce, meats, prepared foods, honey, olive oil, fresh made pasta (see pic below) and much more. The best burritos and other Mexican food is at a stand called Del Cielo. The tortillas are homemade. Some weekends, a lady is at the stand making the tortillas fresh. If they have extras they will sell them by the dozen. Their fresh squeezed OJ is hard to find but delicious. The best churros in Tucson (and maybe all of the southwest) are Churros Inzunza, found in the middle of the market. They are fresh made and perfectly crunchy on the exterior and soft on the inside. I’m a churro fiend, not a connoisseur but they are better than most churros I’ve had in Spain or Mexico. Definitely a Sunday must stop for groceries or for breakfast.

Google
Very friendly farmers and artisans! Cool options to taste desert specialties like elderberry cherry popsicles and prickly pear sorbet. There is free parking and free water. It was a great, family-friendly morning outing for a Sunday. Please note: dogs are not allowed.

Google
We love going to the farmers market on the 2nd Sundays with the kids. Great free program and the live music is always wonderful. We loved when Mr Nature played!!! The staff is always very kind. Some vendor are pricey but that seems to be the norm for farmers' markets anywhere we have been.

Google
Hands down, best farmers market in AZ. Their fresh roasted green chili’s, garlic, tomatoes are incredible. Went home and made some hot spicy vegan meatball soup. Delicious! Lots of organic everything and you have to eat their yummy food locals put together. This Indian flat tortillas with the world on it. Amazing! Organic dog shampoo! Organic goats milk lotion. Too much to name! A blast and the music was just delightful. Bring your pets! Kids hands on crafts!! Everything for everyone.

Google
This Vegan festival was EPIC!!! SO MANY AWESOME VENDORS!!!

Google
Always full of friendly people and vendors! Great finds and amazing food. Definitely recommend stopping by here on a Sunday morning and seeing what local things you can find.

Google
One of many farmers markets in Tucson. This is a favorite. It’s every Sunday. There’s often live music with a seating area and tables. Go early for the best selection. Some vendors run out quickly. There is a variety of fresh produce, baked goods, and food to go.

Miguel Jacome Jr.

Google
Stopped at the churros food vendor, I was stunt to pay $7 for 6 little pieces and $5 for a drink that if taken the ice out had no more than 3 oz of the drink plus tax! really never again “highway robbery”

Yelp
A great selection of vendors and items! Everything from plants to sourdough, pottery to wood, fresh food and drinks. Local made soaps and lotions, pastries, chocolate. A little of everything. Fun to walk, very clean, live music, crowds. It's a fun and enjoyable vibe. Fun way to spend a Sunday morning

Yelp
Very impressive farmers market! Heirloom runs every single Sunday morning in the Rillito Park race track parking area. The market has a vast array of fresh produce, drinks, baked goods, crafts, plants, and prepared foods. As someone dairy free, I also appreciated that there were several vendors offering tasty vegan options from decadent desserts (hard to say no to a chocolate truffle cake) to a creamy macadamia nut cheese with crackers. Yum! Another notable feature of this farmers market is the number of international cuisines represented - Egyptian rice dishes, perogis, onsite wood fired pizza, Mexican, Greek pastries, you name it, they probably have it. They even have a knife sharpening booth. How cool. The market is well organized with a vendor booth map and an information tent in the center. Trash cans are set up periodically amongst the tents to discard sample containers. All of the vendors were very friendly and openly offered many samples. Credit cards are accepted at every vendor that I visited. Very nice! You can tell that there are a lot of regular market customers, and for good reason, it's a great spot!

Yelp
Love this place! We try to get over to this farmers market a couple times a year, but I can see why people come each week. We love buying local, love the different foods and locally sourced produce and homemade items. Love the music! There's nothing not to love..
google avatar

Michael G.

Yelp
One of my favorite FM anywhere. An amazing array of vendors. They have other locations in the area, but Rillito seems to have the most vendors.
google avatar

Yelp
Lively picking' music. Friendly crowd. Personable vendors. Delicious food. Overall...great experience!
google avatar

Yelp
Great selection of fresh greens, local honey, sourdough bread, the food vendor doing pupusas-Salvador is worth waiting for and reasonably priced compared to the other food trucks
google avatar

Yelp
Glad I didn't miss this Farmers Market. Food, music, and a lot of vendors. There is something for everyone. Everyone vendor was so kind. Almost all vendors have samples which is nice. I came for bread and walked out with last minute gifts and goodies for myself.

Yelp
Absolutely adore this market! To support local means a lot to me, so I strive to attend the local farmers markets. Besides the biased fact that I live 10 min from this market, I find everything I need in one stop. House goods like shampoo and toiletries, medicinal products, dried pastas and fresh foods, nuts, grains, fruits, veggies, meats, raw products, goats milk, eggs, art, music and more. This place really does have a vast selection, fitting to so many needs and allergen or diet friendly. I find many vegan options here, both ready to eat and fresh. It's family friendly, pet friendly and community supported. They have a program for those with State Nutritional Assurance/ EBT. And there are bathrooms for public. If you ride a bike, it's right off the river path way. But if not, there is loads of parking available. Double check the hours and search for markets in your area since Heirloom has a few locations.

Yelp
First time back since pandemic. Took daughter & granddaughter to 'check it out'. There was a musician playing guitar and it was such a nice ambience. A lot of vendors and yummy food! Got some basics, but glad we stopped in. Happy to see it going strong!

Yelp
Amazing Farmers Market in Tucson. A ton of vendors, outdoor market with great shade, food, variety, organization and parking. Will definitely return! Please note - no pets allowed except designated service animals.
google avatar

Mary B.

Yelp
I shop this market every Saturday morning early. I buy eggs, milk and beef. I get Arizona grown wheat and flour products from Oatman farms. The fruit and vegetables grown locally are the best. I can't say enough about this wonderful farmers market.
google avatar

Christina Z.

Yelp
My favorite farmers' market in Tucson because it showcases so many vendors with a variety of options for local produce, products (think soaps, crafts, oils, bags), and delicious food. It's almost impossible to decide what foods to try because there are so many delicious food stalls so come with hungry bellies! Most vendors accept credit card, but if you don't have cash, you can purchase tokens to pay for your products as well. Every time we've brought visitors from out of town, they comment on what a great farmers market it is. Be sure to check the hours of operation on their website because they vary between summer and winter (and when races are occurring in February through April). Currently it's 8:30-12:30 on Sundays, but over the summer, runs 8-12.
google avatar

Dawn S.

Yelp
Parking was easy, not too crowded, good shade under the roof structure, and a great variety of vendors. Two thumbs up!
google avatar

Belle V.

Yelp
It's a nice place to go with your family, they have a wide variety of produce, food and drinks, arts and crafts, etc. It's a casual environment, everyone is so friendly, it's a different vibe when you're here. They have more or less 100 stalls to choose from. Its fun and interesting. Most of them are locals, so it is better to support our local entrepreneurs.
google avatar

Yelp
Best farmers market in town. We love the Rillito one. There are really good vendors. My family loves the micro greens from Nido farms. There are other micro green vendors but Guillermo has the best mix and is so nice. We also have to get papusas from Selenas. They are freshly made right on the spot. We also finish it off with churros from Churro Inzunza.
google avatar

Yelp
My favorite farmers market in town on Sundays next to Rillito racetrack, accesible via the bike path too so it's a good pit stop. There's a variety of things to enjoy from fruit/veggies from local farms, dog treats, lasagna, roasted peppers, burritos (always popular here), Ukrainian pastries, quiche, kimchi, soaps, plants, and even pottery. There's always a musical act too. I come for the mushrooms, but I go there to stalk Tita Tita for their lumpia and killer chili sauce. It's normally a food truck/catering, but here look for the tent beside the musicians. It's nice to stroll around enjoying the beautiful weather.
google avatar

Yelp
Lots of food , goodies, snacks ,produce and so on . All the venders are nice some have free samples , some good coffee . Waffles , tortillas, and radishes and sometimes some sea moss . Great location plenty of parking Must go on Sundays just to get out of the house

Yelp
It was a little too hot, but otherwise it was a pleasure to wander through the stalls at this farmers' market. I didn't buy anything to take home, but I did sample some of the foods and drinks on offer here. It wasn't too crowded or too empty.
google avatar

Melissa C.

Yelp
This is a large outdoor market with a wide variety of staples and seasonal items. You can find ready-to-eat, ready-to-heat, and fresh ingredients. Our favorites are Mustang Mountain eggs, Green Heart Bakery (all vegan), Cafe Francais, and My Rawsome Foods. We frequent various produce purveyors based on what each has available. We typically wear face masks just because it is so crowded, even when they open at 9 am. They do have signs asking people to keep dogs at home to reduce crowding, but some folks still bring them. We're lucky to have a market like this in Tucson.
google avatar

Kirsten D.

Yelp
Wow I loved this market at Rillito. I can't believe I'd never been here before. I opted to go in the pouring rain because I saw on social media they were still roasting chili's and were fully open. I scored some sunflower sprouts, veggies, butter, and roasted chili's. People were friendly. Parking was plentiful. Worth a drive.

Yelp
Great variety of produce and products and friendly vendors Easy access and parking for the location. Highly recommended.

Yelp
Quite literally the BEST Farmers Market I've ever been to! ESPECIALLY if you're a foodie!!! Opens at 8am on Sunday (April)! And the vendors are really friendly!
google avatar

Kent L.

Yelp
Worth checking out if you don't have plans on a Sunday morning. I had some good hot food, including a quesobirra and tamales. Very interesting shops including people selling many varieties of mushrooms, different apple ciders, roasted veggies shop, and more!
google avatar

Mary B.

Yelp
Customers and vendors were wearing face masks during this Covid-19 time so the shopping was less stressful than I had anticipated when I went to pick up my Adventure Roasters coffee, yet I do miss my cup of coffee being served. Other vendors that were wonderful and helpful with explanations were Incredible Snacks. Love his choices of dehydrated fruits, veg and nuts. Also Peppermint Jim and explanation of the advantages of peppermint and spearmint for my health. Enjoyed lunch from Selena's Salvadorian and had a regular pupusas...delicious! Soon I will coordinate this with a bicycle ride on the loop as they are right next to it. Is the fall season soon to be here? So many vendors, so come check it out and wear a mask...signs will remind you to do so! Plenty of parking here or walk in from some place as the loop is right next to the market.

Yelp
Best farmers market I. Tucson by far! St Phillips has turned into more artists than farmers. I get my fresh veggies, fruits, greens and breakfast! In and out in under an hour. Ample parking, shaded walk way (mostly) knowledge endorsed and lots of vegan breakfast/lunch items. The Roaster guy is always there! Entertainment and a local Chef demonstrating a dish using only market ingredients. Sidebar: During the summer most vendors start closing around 11. Dog/family friendly.
google avatar

Kala J.

Yelp
Came out on this Sunday morning for someone/something particular, and I found her but I walked the whole market as well. I was also in search of some fresh fruit but didn't come across any. I'll return again but I'm giving three stars now for the lack of items. There were vegetables, fresh meat, hot foods, live music, etc. Ample parking but just didn't get what I came for, other than my Acai bowl, check my other reviews!!
google avatar

Yelp
The Sunday Heirloom Farmer's Market at the Rillito Racetrack is the best "grocery store" in Tucson! You can find the freshest vegetables, fruit, and herbs, coffee, salmon (wild caught in Alaska), eggs, meat, honey, yogurt, goat cheese, chiles (from Hatch when in season), salsas, the list goes on and on. Not to mention food vendors offering everything from burritos to crepes. Our family is able to do just about all of our grocery shopping there. Plus, most of it is organic! Once you've tasted the freshness of the food at this Market, it will be hard to shop at an inside grocery store again.
google avatar

Yelp
You gotta go there! This is a good sized market with a solid selection of vendors from the surrounding area. You can stock up for the week without a doubt. Need beef? You got it. Chicken? Got that too. Locally made cheese and pasta? Yep..that too and so many more products - essential oils, fresh baked goods, gorgeous produce, kombucha, fresh pressed juice. The energy here is just awesome too. The vendors are chatty and all about giving you the scoop on what their business is all about. Many offer samples too! The location is fantastic, you can ride your bike on the river trail. It's exceptionally clean too and shaded for those hot summer days...and year round sun. Heirloom Farmers Market also has locations in Oro Valley on Saturdays and Trail Dust Town on Fridays. It's also a non-profit organization that truly connects and empowers our local community. They are responsible for the epic Viva La Local festival too! Locals can help support the farmers market by attending Viva La Local and making donations. They are a voice and powerhouse for our local food economy!

Yelp
This is a delightful farmers market! We stopped on a chilly morning so it wasn't super crowded but there was plenty of stuff to see and more importantly, EAT. The Mister made a beeline for the breakfast burrito guy (get one early, apparently they sell out) and I opted for a pupusa. That was a good call on my part because it was delicious!! I especially liked the oregano-heavy slaw they top it with - I could eat that by the bucketful. Moving through the market, we found fresh greens, lots of citrus, the most beautiful handmade pasta (lemon Szechuan peppercorn anyone?) and the awesome Iced Tea Guy. If you like tea, go here! There are 6 iced varieties available and a bunch of hot ones too. I grabbed a Prickly Pear iced and thought it was delicious. He has a food truck so you can order 1/2 gallons of tea around town (if he has a truck in MKE, he could make a living just following me around). The market is super dog friendly, with bowls of water here and there. Really, it's just a friendly market all the way around!

Yelp
Everything you would want in a farmers market, great food, great produce, wonderful selection of ranchers/meat options, unique food carts/stalls. I adore this market and have already been several times
google avatar

Alex C.

Yelp
I love this little market. It's shaded, dog friendly, live music, great coffee, yummy food to eat now or later and of course tons of local produce. It has everything from rotating restaurant demos, plants, lotions/body care, food trucks and an always friendly atmosphere. I get my local eggs here and veggies. The parking is plentiful and easy too. Even if you're just browsing I suggest checking it out!
google avatar

Chris L.

Yelp
Winter market offered grapefruit, oranges, tamales, fresh bread, salad greens, wood-fired pizza baked before your eyes, pastry, freshly fire-roasted peppers, live cactus, horchata, breakfast burritos, frozen beef and beef jerky, green chile lemonade, knife sharpening, pretzels, coffee beans & fresh coffee, and much more. Maybe calling it a farmer's market is a stretch because there's only modest quantities of fresh produce and tremendous amount of prepared foods, but still a lot of fun. Learned about mesquite flour, from grinding up a bean pod off the tree, they make it into breads and tortillas, a true local specialty. Valiantly resisted eating a whole pizza by myself :-). Sampling fresh roasted, fresh brewed coffees was great also. The Tucson climate is much too hot for fresh greens in the summer so the lettuce, arugula and kale are only available in winter. No food trucks in Jan. A little band was just setting up as the market opened so there's a bit of entertainment also. Two tips: the winter market opens at 9 AM (not 8 AM like this listing shows). Second, look for the business park sign off 1st Avenue, don't make our mistake & park at the ballfields.

Yelp
I feel so lucky to live down the road from this fabulous, expansive, year-round market. From fresh produce, to local plants, to delicious coffee and food - they really have it all here. Just to show you the diversity of vendors, recent purchases include an amazing chocolate croissant, local essential oils, pickling cucumbers, pupusas, fresh-brewed local iced tea, and artisan goat cheese. There is something for everyone here and usually at least one music act to enjoy while you're strolling. Super pup-friendly, too - one of the best parts is checking out all the cute doggos while you scarf your grilled breakfast burrito. Mountain views, lots of parking, and super variety. Get here.
google avatar

Yelp
One of the finer farmers markets in the area, the Rillito is known for its expansive strip of vendors and shade providing pavilions. If you have SNAP, bring your card and receive double points to shop at the market. Fresh, local, and chemical free meats are a top feature. Farm fresh eggs and veggies are labeled with a red flag reading "real farmer" so you know the location and quality has been verified. Body products, honey, pasta, kombucha and more are available as well. Grab some brunch at one of the food trucks of a pizza fresh out of the oven. Rillito farmers market is a great place to start the day.
google avatar

Monica G.

Yelp
My favourite bike stop on the loop to grab breakfast, I mean pizza... I don't reckon they have a huge variety of products to select from. I did get runner beans once and got all excited. I remembered it's not being cheap, more like $10/lb and later I found cheaper ones in AJ's at La Encatada though...
google avatar

Yelp
Strolling casually past the numerous stalls the personality and charm of Tucson comes through here at Heirloom market. There's no place that I'd rather be when I'm going for a Sunday run, it's a perfect place for me to rest and get some morning refreshments and entertainment with live music from the community. It's important that the Tucson community supports our local businesses and I encourage anyone to come out with family and friends and to spend some quality time here. This is more than a farmer's market, it's a place to build relationships and talk, get to know each other and to build a positive and strong community. Bridging the gap for consumers to know the exact origin of their produce and meat is important. The pervasive disconnect of consumers from the farmers who grow and sustain the country is detrimental to American culture. Simply talking to farmers brings to light a respect for agriculture and the amount of work it takes to get a vegetable or a cut of meat into your hands. Let's get enlightened. There's plenty here to go around, come to Heirloom Farmer's Market.
google avatar

Yelp
Fun thing to do with my family on Sundays after church. Talking to the owners is fun. I bought some pistachios and my little sister got an oven roasted pizza slice. Mom purchased some dates. I had a good cup of free coffee.
google avatar

Ashley P.

Yelp
Great farmers' market with a lot of good vendors, live music, and fun atmosphere. I've visited a couple times and wondered during my last visit why I don't come more often. It's nice just to walk around, and a lot of people bring their kiddos and dogs. I like grabbing a pastry (which are plentiful) and a coffee from one of the roasters who sell there and strolling. My fiance got a delicious quesadilla for lunch, and we took home some prickly pear white balsamic vinegar and some smoked olive oil. Next time I come, I'll probably get some produce and cheeses. It's nice that there is a bit of shade for the hot summers.
google avatar

Mike M.

Yelp
Farmer: a person who owns or manages a farm. Market: a regular gathering of people for the purchase and sale of provisions, livestock, and other commodities. This "Farmers Market" has both. No windchimes or bracelets or artwork. It's people selling food, not tchotchkes. It's mostly produce and fruit, with some food vendors interspersed. It's large, there's a ton of parking, and it's every Sunday morning. Our favorite in the area. Buy some veggies. Buy a cactus. Buy a burrito. Just go buy something.
google avatar

Fran L.

Yelp
I love the market. Please, during this pandemic, the vendors should wear face masks and gloves. I purchased from the vendors who adhered to the guidelines. I walked past the vendors who did not wear face masks. I wore a face mask in respect to my fellow humans. Please do the same for me.

Yelp
I just wanted to hop on real quick after coming home from this market to make sure to tell you Yelp folks that this is a great farmer's market! We go each Sunday - early - and enjoy the vendors, and customers, and the venue. Everyone seems happy & friendly and the whole scene is enjoyable. I do want to highlight one thing in particular as I really noticed it today - MANY of the food vendors have VEGAN options available and that is such a wonderful thing for us vegans to be included! We had one of the best VEGAN ROASTED POBLANO BURRITOS I have ever had (Mi Salsa). The vegan roasted poblano burrito is definitely on our list for next weekend and we plan to buy a jar of their salsa as well. There are VEGAN CREPES (Planet of the Crepes), VEGAN CHURROS and VEGAN ELOTES (Mexican corn-in a cup) both are at Churros Inzunza... and many more items throughout the market. For the carnivores in the crowd there are many stands with fish, poultry, grass fed beef, pork etc both in prepared food of course and frozen or some that can be ordered. Truly worth a visit - be sure to bring a bag to take home all your goodies with you.

Yelp
This is a huge market with a really wide selection. Lots of vendors representing many different kinds of products besides just food. Fresh baked goods, emu oil, Pizza, fresh produce, and so much more. The vendors are very fun and friendly. And some offer samples so you can taste what they have for sale. The site is very clean with beautiful sidewalks and a great large covering so you can walk in comfort out of the Sun. It is part of a large park, so if you're close enough you can actually use the bike trail to get there. The parking lot is massive so there is no need to worry about space. Come and enjoy. I posted lots of photos so you can get an idea of what this wonderful market has to offer.
google avatar

Ellie B.

Yelp
This is a fantastic farmer's market and our friends said it was even better in the winter months when we visited. We got some delicious ginger peach tea, chocolate croissant, chorizo breakfast burrito, prickly pear sauce and some citrus. They had live music, cacti for sale, pasta, barbecue, honey, cotton candy (the watermelon jalapeno was REALLY good), and tons more.
google avatar

Raelynn B.

Yelp
Aside from the yucky monsoon weather, I had a great time. I want to recommend this place to anyone that gets EBT. They will match you dollar for dollar up to $20! You can spend your initial $20 on anything from FRESH eggs, cheese and bread, then get an extra FREE $20 for all the beautiful fresh produce available. The family atmosphere is great and the live music gave the whole place a fun ambiance. This is a great way to spend a few hours out with the family on a Sunday morning.
google avatar

Olivia K.

Yelp
This is a farmers market. Spacious with a ton of straight food booths with a good amount of produce even at 11 am. This is a market without all the glam which is how it's suppose to be. I don't recall any entertainment; they had two food trucks and few booths there if you wanted to eat. I thought it was cool it was right next to the bike path so people could come that way (which there were a lot). There weren't any craft booths that I recall... Maybe a soap one. It appeared like everyone was enjoying their time there. Overall, I would highly recommend this farmers market, especially if you are just looking to shop.

Yelp
First visit, but won't be our last, to the "new facility". The City of Tucson has built a beautiful fit-for-purpose farmers market facility. Wide concrete walkway and shady ramada for the customers. On either side, crushed pea gravel for the vendors. Located on the SE side of Rialto Park, near to and with access to the trail along the wash. Well maintained. Kudos to the City and Heirloom Markets. This location rivals St. Philips and the old Oro Valley location for ambience. This is what OV should do for Steam Pump.
google avatar

Lauren T.

Yelp
This is a great farmers market! Navigating the area is easy with enough shade and a nice concrete walkway. We had no trouble parking either which was great! You can find great selection on a variety of items. I mean for me, just going there once, I have stocked up on some amazing cheesecake, some honey, a bottle of pasta sauce, and a beautiful bougainvillea bush that I planted in my backyard. Nice people and nice location. I will definitely be back!
google avatar

Cindy N.

Yelp
This doesn't get much better. We in Tucson are so lucky to have this diverse market every Sunday from 9-1 in the winter and earlier of course during the summer. Took my little pup Harley (Chiweenie) dog to saunter through the tons and tons of booths. The colors, smells, foods, coffees, fruits and veggies are plentiful. We picked up something to bring home and eat tonight. Also have grass fed beef booths, fresh egg booths, salsas, cheeses, tamales, burritos to name some. A couple of food trucks are gathered here. Local plants, herbs, nuts, seeds (chia) and so much more. Now that the weather is nice what a lovely way to spend a couple of hours walking through and supporting locals who pride themselves in making their delicacies. We have been here several times before but it gets better and better.

Yelp
I had a chance to check out this farmers market while in town visiting the in-laws. Really nice farmers market. It's on the smaller side, but the vendors were all really nice and quality items. My favorite items were the ricotta pastizzi from Malta Joe's baked goods and the coffee from Adventure Coffee Roasters.
