Heirloom Kitchen is truly something special. From the moment we walked in, it felt warm, inviting, and perfectly set up for a cozy, hands-on cooking experience. We made garlic bread, seafood pasta, and other delicious bites with fresh ingredients while sipping wine and learning fun techniques along the way. The chefs were friendly, the kitchen was stunning, and the whole night had this dreamy, food-show vibe. Everything was so well-paced — we chopped, stirred, plated, and of course, devoured every bite. Whether you’re a seasoned cook or just want a fun night out, this is the kind of experience that leaves you full in every way. I left with a happy heart, a full stomach, and a camera roll of memories. Can’t wait to come back for another class!

The food is delicious. Octopus was delicious. Duck is yummy. Desserts are okay but Rosemary ice cream - who would think - is delicious,

This was an extraordinary dining experience. The intention that went into every single detail of our night was magnificent. The service impeccable and the food...each course a masterpiece!

TLDR: beautiful vibe, great staff, amazing food, worth the $$$ Went here to celebrate a friend's birthday. Definitely had to Google some of the words on the menu because they use the fancy kitchen term, but they definitely know what they are doing. Food was phenomenal, portions were perfect, staff was attentive and caring to dietary restrictions. I loved the vibe and as its a small place, it is quiet enough to easily converse with friends. Also, BYOB made the experience that much greater! Not a weekly night out place, due to the $$$. But definitely a restaurant to repeat visit.

Enjoyed a lovely and interactive dinner experience at Heirloom Kitchen last night. We sat at the elevated long table overlooking the chefs preparing the food. Our “captain”/ waiter Noah was very friendly and attentive. The entire staff was incredible!! Dinner service was flawless. The food was incredible. All of the dishes were creative and one of a kind. They have refreshing mock tails which we recommend. We will definitely be coming back. Looking forward to the menu changes monthly!

One of our best chef tasting experiences ever! Absolutely fantastic! Sit at the chef table if you like to watch everything happen. Everyone was so nice and the food was incredible!!! We will be back for sure!

What an amazing prix fixe dinner we had yesterday. I completely agree that it’s one of the best restaurants in US. We got our table on the chefs corner where you could watch the chef cooking and plating in front of you. Everything was made fresh to order and plated in-front of you. The food was top notch quality and everything that we had was exceptional. They put so much effort into curating each dish and all the ingredients just blend in so perfectly. The service was amazing, the atmosphere was great. I would definitely go back again.

I cannot say enough about Heirloom Kitchen. We opted for the Sunday 7 course chef’s tasting menu. The food was creative and fun and executed to perfection. But the real reason this place is unforgettable is the staff. Noah was kind, attentive, and hilarious. Every single staff member we interacted with was friendly and professional without being pretentious. The food was some of the best I’ve ever had; the service was heads and tails beyond the best I’ve ever had. We will most definitely return over and over to this absolute gem.

Without hyperbole, this was the single best meal of my life, full stop. Heirloom Kitchen doubles as a cooking school during the week and it is tucked away in a nondescript shopping plaza in Central Jersey. Do not let the humble setting fool you, you are in for a treat if you're lucky enough to partake in a meal here. We did the Chef's Tasting on a Sunday evening (the only evening it's available) for my birthday, and oh my god. Things started out the day before with a text asking about any allergies. As the menu is fixed, this is an important touch. When I arrived, we were escorted to the front counter and our "Captain" walked us through what the evening would entail and given a hand-written birthday note. Even though Heirloom Kitchen is a BYOB, they also have several reasonably priced wines from local winery Alba Vineyards, so we opted for the Pinot Noir which was wonderful. As each course begins, the chef who created it comes out, explains their inspiration for the dish, how they developed it, any interesting facts or stories about it, then open the floor for questions. After you complete each dish, they come back out and request feedback, and this not just a routine they sleepwalk through, they are genuinely interested. Our final dessert course was a smoked pound cake, and the young lady who was the Pâtissier who created it seemed genuinely nervous to hear our thoughts, and was equally pleased to find out that we had very much enjoyed it. As I mentioned, the seven course tasting menu is fixed, but there is a vegetarian option for those who are so inclined. Our menu was the following: -Radish Carpaccio -Dandan Lasagna -Thai Curry Crab (This may be the single best thing I've eaten in my life) -Halibut wrapped in zucchini flower -Duck breast -"Ricola" (lemon herb sorbet, honeycomb candy, mandarin, meringue, cream) -Smoked Pound Cake Breaking down each course would be an exercise in futility. The flavors and combinations were all amazingly balanced, complex and indescribably delicious. Service was top notch, with a literal team of professionals dedicated to your meal. There is an outstanding seasonal menu and standard seating that you can do, and that will save you more than a few bucks, but the tasting menu at the front counter is such an incredible experience, I would pay the extra expense every single time. This is absolutely a special occasion kind of place, and I can't wait to return.

Went for a Sunday brunch cooking class with some girlfriends. We had a blast. The atmosphere and class is totally chill. You can participate as much or as little as you would like. The food was amazing and the whole group eats together after everything is done. Highly recommend.

I made reservations for a late valentine's dinner with the wife here after seeing good reviews. It is a pre fixed 4 course tasting menu. The restaurant is an open kitchen concept and you had to reserve what type of seating you prefer. It was too bad we weren't able to book a chef's counter experience but we still enjoyed our time at the table. The service was excellent and the food was amazing. We decided on adding on the pandesal appetizer, the black truffle shaving, and a bottle of Syrah. I would say the black truffle shaving was not necessary as it is very minimal and barely can taste it. Otherwise everything else was exceptional from beginning to end. The staffs were attentive and continuously refilling our wine and water glasses. We will definitely be returning when they change up their menu.

Yes, yes, yes, yes! This place has everything...books, good atmosphere, chefs that cook in front of you, servers that know how to please a customer, BYO and select wines. Pre fixe menu with choice. Usually 5-7 courses and all of them cook on high for delish.

Food is delicious. 4 course menu. BYOB is an option but I recommend you buy a bottle the price is very respectable and definitely not overpriced. Ended with an espresso martini and it is definitely very very good

Great place!! We did the cooking class. It was amazing!! The staff was so friendly and very accommodating. Their patience was impeccable. We assisted in making the Mothers Day brunch. It consisted for Brioche French toast, honey chipotle bacon, salad, raspberry compote, crispy crackers , and few other items. I must say we made a great team. Everything came out delicious. I would highly recommend taking their class. You will have slot of fun and gain a few cooking/ recipe secrets. We had a great group. Make sure to say hi to Eric!!

My favorite NJ restaurant ever. Great food. Great service. I don't have one bad thing to say about this place. GO!!!

Easily one of my top restaurants in the old bridge area. Plenty of parking and friendly staff. They also have outdoor tables when the weather is nice, but I usually sit in the chef's table. You can't beat the view from there! Aside from food, the restaurant also offers cooking lessons, but spots fill in very fast and I personally have not had the chance to try it. The menu usually rotates and is always a new experience. Highly recommend booking in advance, the place gets full during rush hour and in general. The food in itself is from chef to table, everything is made fresh with a beautiful plating. The way they deliver food transforms your experience from gastronomy to art. Everything is well balanced, bright and colorful and tasty. They offer mocktails and they sell wines the chef usually recommends to pair with the food.

Ther service, chefs and hosts were all amazing. The food, dessert and mocktails were superb.

My wife and I enjoyed an absolutely first class dining experience today at Heirloom Kitchen in Old Bridge, NJ. Food was good, almost shockingly good. I was taken aback at the subtlety of just about every dish we were served. Atmosphere was clean and quirky, somewhere at the intersection of cottagecore, industrial, and kitch. Service was top notch, attentive and professional, from a brigade that couldn't have been much older than my teenage sons. The menu was a four course prix fixe, including dessert ($89 pp). Tonight's menu featured three or four choices for each course, so we had (difficult!) choices to make. As usual, we ordered extras: a stuffed bread course (which was amazing, both sweet and savory, with onion jam and a whipped feta spread), as well as two a la carte dishes as an additional course, (which the staff sequenced perfectly, despite our last minute addition). Our first course was a raw cured snapper served in watermelon lime broth and a chicken liver mousse served on brioche. The snapper was served like ceviche, cured in citrus, but served over a vivid red watermelon broth. The flavor of the lime oil popped with the crisp texture of the fish, and rode nicely over the sweetness of the watermelon. The toasted brioche was topped with a modest shmear of a velvety chicken liver mousse, which would have been a sensational pairing all by itself. But the bite was taken up several notches with the addition of pickled veg, micro cilantro, and emulsified jalapeno on the plate. The acidic and mildly-spicy pop was so helpful to cut the cloying fattiness that normally comes with chicken liver. Very well balanced and clever to keep the spicy element separate on the plate, allowing the diner to dial in their preferred level of heat. Course number two consisted of grilled octopus and a baked squash. The octopus dish was a master class in the Maillard reaction: just about every item on the plate was cooked to caramelization, but not a single element had that burnt flavor you get when something is left in the pan a few minutes too long. Eggplant, nuts, capers, potato, and even the za'atar - each cooked to it's own smoky sweetness then combined perfectly in a harmony like an exquisite campfire. The Delicata squash was served in tender cubes over acorn squash rendered as a mousse and had several different textures across the dish. The apple mostarda complimented the squash in both a expected yet surprising way. That familiar homey flavor of simple baked apples with squash and cinnamon took on a much more sophisticated demeanor in this context. Our third course was a pan-seared fluke and a pork belly deconstructed "tamale". The fish had a great crust and flavor, but could have maybe used one minute less in the pan. But we like our fish under rather than over, so it might have been personal preference. The pepperoni butter was the most surprising element, and one we are going to try to replicate. Each of the other elements - the cassoulet, the sofrito, and the caponata - were executed well enough to stand on their own; in combination, they supported the fluke without overwhelming it. The pork belly was cooked "birria" style, a slow-cooked stew with meat and spices. This dish was clever and incredibly flavorful, with a generous portion of extremely moist and tender pork belly. The corn portion of the deconstructed tamale was served central to the dish, as a simple rectangle covered in the mole sauce. I enjoyed the texture that the corn and wax beans added to the dish, especially given the silky tamale/mole centerpiece. My only wish was that they had gone with a birria "tatemada" style of cooking, where the pork belly was crisped up after being stewed. I missed the sensation of crispy pork fat in my tamale, and I worry that the large moist fat cap on the pork belly might turn off some patrons. But that's just a tiny tweak, not at all a complaint. I feel like this restaurant is quite possibly one of the best in the state. More than being a "hidden gem", this experience was easily a 5-star fine-dining experience, tucked into a little strip mall off Route 9 in Old Bridge. I literally do not know if they're aware of the incredibly high quality of the experience they offer, and the value you get as a patron. But I suggest you bring an adventurous palate and a few friends for dinner at Heirloom Kitchen before they wise up, put linen tablecloths over their neat wooden tables, and double the prices. But even if that happens, you can count on seeing me there (just wearing my jacket and tie). There was more to my review, but i couldn't fit it here! Excellent. 5-star food, 5-star service. I've lived in some great food cities -- NYC, SF, Philly -- this restaurant is as good as anything you fill there without any of the pretentiousness.

Can't believe a restaurant this nice is located in Old Bridge lol. I absolutely loved my experience at Heirloom kitchen. You get what you pay for and it's worth every penny. The best dishes included the pork belly, beef Kafta and scallops. I ordered the duck and it was good but it wasn't as good as it could have been. The service was excellent. My friend brought her own sangria and she didn't like it so the waiter added fruit and mint so she would like it better which absolutely isn't something they were required to do. The service was above and beyond. I can't wait to come back here and hopefully try a cooking class as well.

Wonderful lunch and fantastic service and atmosphere. We were a party of 2 adults and had pool passes for the day and had lunch at Heirloom Kitchen. We had Clam Chowder Croquettes (which sound not great but were amazing); Tuna Tartare Nachos (fresh sliced tuna topped with mashed avocado); and hot honey chicken sandwich (on special, was great with the sauce and pickles). The service in the pool area and at the restaurant are so kind, helpful and attentive. The chefs are very talented and put together wonderful combinations for each dish. Thank you, St. Laurent and Heirloom Kitchen for a truly special day!

Since being named a semi finalist for the James Beard award, I have been eagerly waiting for an opportunity to dine at Heirloom with my family. Seeing that this is one of the few, if not the only, prefixes in Old Bridge, I had to take my Mom since she doesn't adventure much out of the city. Overall, my dining experience had a lot of ups and downs, but in the end, I decided to give this place 4 stars. Upon entering, my brother, my Mom, and myself were warmly greeted by the maitre d, Amanda. We actually had a cool vibe going on and she even went above and beyond to get us a seat at the chef's table even though Resy showed no open spots. She is awesome. After being seated center stage of the chef's counter, we were met by our server Noah. Noah didn't give me the greatest first impression. He quickly introduced the prefix to which I then was about to give him my order, but he stopped me, took my drink order, then promptly left. Shortly after, a newer employee discussed the drink menu to us. He spoke a bit fast, a little evident that he was new and trying to compose what he could off of memory. But, props to him for staying calm, he did great. Noah came back, took down the order, and was reciting things from the Resy, which I admittedly messed up because I hurried to make the reservation that day. I made 2 mistakes, I stated a shellfish allergy and a birthday, marked from a previously reservation I made. He made a remark that could have been delivered better. He said, "So you lied to me twice?" He seemed serious and a bit annoyed, which I didn't appreciate, but I gave it a pass because it was my bad and maybe he was having a rough day or his and my humor don't align. Okay great, let's get onto the food. Bummer...there's a text limit, so I'm only giving ratings per dish. As Noah was collecting our plates, my brother decided to help out and start stacking dishes and silverware to give to him. As he was doing so, Noah stopped him and said "You're helping by not helping." My Mom didn't appreciate that comment and felt it was rude. I also was not a fan of that. It felt unprofessional. Maybe say it a better way if that was not your intention. Now I'm all eyes on him. Second Course: Spinach Agnolotti: (4/5) Charred Hamachi: (4/5) Banh Bo: (4/5) Third Course: Salmon: (4/5) Duck: (5/5) Pork Tenderloin: (3/5) Fourth Course: Chocolate Cremeux: (4.5/5) Beet Velvet Cake: (5/5) Thai Tea Cream Puff: (5/5) To conclude on our server, Noah, he definitely left a sour taste in my mouth. Coming from a semi finalist of the James Beard Award, I would assume Heirloom would be as welcoming as Amanda, the front desk, and be prepared to go above and beyond to prove itself. His unprofessional comments transported me out of the fine dining experience, especially the comment "You're helping by not helping." The table felt belittled and felt he was being rude. I will say, halfway through the evening, he did become a little more professional and eventually would be replaced with a waitress whom I didn't catch the name. I would say, slap on the wrist and hope it was just an off day. So overall, I felt Heirloom performed as expected. It is a nice experience for locals to get a taste of what a prefixe is and to experience fine dining. Is Heirloom "Michelin" worthy? Personally, no. It needs to address a few things to be considered, but maybe that's not their goal and that's okay. (As a side note, a restaurant needs to be in a Michelin city to achieve a Michelin star, so Heirloom, no matter how good it gets, will not officially get a star because of location). Maybe it was this particular prefix, but for me food was good for the area and demographic. If you were thinking of trying their pricier menus, I would maybe put some more thought into it. I feel at that price, I personally would spend it a little more north. And if you were to go, you can't go wrong with the chefs counter, or even the bar table. It's a tad warm at the counter. It's a really cool experience and definitely a great conversation starter.

Lovely meal and great fun amazing drinks. The foods and service was so fun and one of the staff being a Met fan made me love it even more. Can't wait to come back for a one of the cooking sessions they have.

An amazing meal that was Michelin star quality! I couldn't believe I was eating in a strip mall restaurant in central Jersey. Everything tasted delicious and all the flavors melted together. The staff here are phenomenal as others have mentioned. Great service and very friendly. It's even better if you sit at the chefs counter so you can see it all in action and chat with the chefs! This place is BYOB but also offers some great wines. We added on a 3rd entree a la carte because we couldn't decide. I did think it was a little ridiculous that the pasta add on was $40 on its own (when the whole tasting menu is $89) but I guess that's our own fault for getting it as an extra.

Excellent food and service all around! I took my mom for a nice night out and they were very accommodating of food allergies (and dislikes) the staff was friendly and professional. We shared a 4 course meal and bread which for us was plenty. The food was outstanding, it's service fairly quick courses with not huge plates but the food flavors and ingredients used are very fresh and flavorful. The braised short ribs and the raspberries and cream being the two standouts personally. All of the food is cooked in a kitchen in the dining area and they have classes as well. Excellent place for any occasion!

Heirloom Kitchen was a true treat. From the moment you walk in you are greeted by top notch service. The restaurant, which is also a cooking school, has three areas for dining the front counter, a counter seated further back, but higher and table seating. We had the four course menu and each course was better than the previous. Every single dish was cooked to perfection. Our server, Captain Noah was amazing and met our every dining need.

We went for a fancy night out to celebrate a birthday, and the service/food made it a very special night out. We told the wait staff in advance and they made it extra special with little touches throughout the nice including a candle with dessert. Delicious, fresh and creative dishes for a decent price point but worth it for the experience!

I've been here twice now, both times most dishes i absolutely loved but there was always 1-2 that was very average. This time it was the Cioppino which is a fried crab fritter - it was missing flavor, didn't hit for me. I did love the bread service (always a must), the pork, steak and masa brownie (amazing flavors, the avocado ice cream is so delicious). The cod was ok, a little too earthy for me. What annoyed me a bit was how the hostess asked us to get up twice for her next table. We're supposed to get 2.5 hours per reservation but kept being asked to get up well before that timeframe. A 515 reservation shouldn't be continuously asked to get up at 730 - they should span our their reservations times a bit better!

I had an amazing experience coming to the HK Philly popup. I booked a last minute reservation as a single diner because I didn't wanna miss it, and am so glad I did. The food and cocktail was amazing but the service was even better! I started with the Negroni, the flavor of the week was pina colada. It was my first Negroni so I had no frame of reference but there were so many different complementary flavors, with the coconut in the forefront. Also it had the coolest ice cube I've ever seen. The lasagna with gold leaf was perfect for Instagram!! And even more delicious. The pasta was tender and the flavors shone through well. There was a bit of crispy pasta that reminded me of the slightly burnt edges of lasagna, and it was delightful. I got a surprise extra course of Japanese sweet potato. The presentation is beautiful and all the textures played against each other very well. The bright bursts of pomegranate was a surprise every time. The short rib was incredibly tender and the sauce was rich and flavorful. The Gen Tsao's cauliflower was addicting! Every bite also had to have a perfect swipe of the cauli puree. By the time the entree came I was stuffed but was very excited about the dessert. The pudding was warm and comforting, and the miso offset the sweetness. I sat at the bar and really enjoyed watching the dishes being plated right in front of me. I watched the puddings being baked in a fancy toaster oven in perfect little bowls. Everything was done with such precision and they took precautions given my nut allergy. The wait staff were very warm and accommodating. I hope to see them back in Philly soon!

Wanted to love this spot but I think it's a one and done. Menu is nice but flavors were lacking to us. Service is top notch for sure and the team did a fantastic job. Everything was on point and extremely personable. Don't worry about missing out on the chefs counter. It seems like most of the cooking is done in the back. The only thing done up front is cooking the proteins and garnishing each dish. One thing interesting was you get to watch how many people touch your protein without gloves. One plate I saw 3 people test the doneness with their bare hands. It was a bit bunch. Literally squeezing it. A cake tester might be bette just a thought. I get this goes on but I done want to see my plate passed to three different people putting their hands all over it. Just some feedback. Also the prep area behind the chefs was a bit of a mess. Not tidy at all. Would like to see a more neat work station.

Wife took me here for my birthday, Amazing! The ambiance, service, and food was exceptional. Definitely would go back! I really love the ceviche and duck.

First time dining here and will definitely not be the last. A wonderful change of pace dining experience that we are so fortunate to have in this area. Our waiter Nikolay was amazing and friendly and the food and overall experience was nothing less then perfect. We also learned of cooking classes they offer which we will for sure be signing up for, although I was informed they do book fast. We can't wait to go back and look forward to sitting at the chefs table.

Wow. This place was insanely good from start to finish. First things first, you need to make a reservation in advance because they sell out QUICK! It is also BYOB, but you can buy bottles of wine there. It's a nice place, but you can wear jeans and feel totally fine. The atmosphere is very romantic, with dim lighting and an amazing playlist that varied from Mac Miller to classic rock. The service was awesome! The server poured our wine for us and gave us new utensils for each course. It is a pre-fixed four course meal. There is a vegan option and you can also do add-ons. The menu changes regularly, but duck stays on the menu (the server told us duck is the chef's specialty)! The food was phenomenal. Every course was made and plated with care and love. You can tell the kitchen takes pride in their dishes. My favorite was the duck. It was so juicy and had a variety of texture on the plate! I was so pleased and will definitely go back. The whole experience was so fun and my boyfriend and I had a great time. We felt very special being there and it was a nice place to go on a Saturday night!

I dinner here many times, and didn't mined paying Top $ every time, Looks like it was my last time here, the staff became more and more snobby, and condescending. We made reservation for 2 at 6pm, we were seated for a table of 5, right by the side-door which staff kept opening to serve outdoor guests We were constantly blasted by cool draft every couple of minutes so we kindly asked to move to another table, since there were 2 other empty tables, and were denied, with major push back. I asked why that wasn't possible since 2 other table were open, And was told that it was for other guests that will come later, basically making us feel like our patronage is less of an importance. I asked David the owner if he could make it happen, and then we were allowed to change tables, unfortunately staff didn't like that, and 5 minutes later they brought us the bill with an attitude, then told us that we need to get going. Not cool to say the least. We paid over $200 for 2 and felt like we got McDonald's service.

I unfortunately am very critical about food. It should be perfect, always. Especially at this price. Chicory salad was good.. bulky presentation, difficult to eat. Celery puree at the bottom was very salty. Sweet potato was so decadent with a smoked masala sauce! Wow very delicious. Entree.. oily rice and unfortunately the dish was burning hot. I found the sweet potato and sorbet to be the best part.. overall it was severely lacking. The non vegan dishes were obviously more thought out and presentation was on point. Vegans were an afterthought. You're getting way less food for the same price. Just something to keep in mind as vegans or non vegans. Nonetheless, I appreciate vegan options. After eating FOUR vegan courses .. it leaves you wanting just a bit more. The food is absolutely delicious and the vibes are so wonderful. The music that played was always a vibe. The restaurant is BYOB... so feel free to bring your own bottle of wine! The restaurant does offer a great amount of wine in case you forget to bring your own or want to try one of their own. We ordered the Sauvignon blanc which was a decadent. One of our servers seemed a bit new, not super attentive. However the other servers were fantastic.

My girlfriend and I came here for my birthday. The food was great, there wasn't a whole lot that could be better when it came to the food. For the most part, service was great until it came down to the end. We enjoyed how well the staff meshed with each other, how the chefs will engage with patrons at the chefs counter, and how the staff would check in at the beginning of every course. We had the latest reservation at the chefs counter. The restaurant is very clean and they swap things out every so often but we did find it weird that while we were eating our entrees, they started to clean - not very appealing seeing them cleaning up while we are trying to enjoy our meal. At the end, our server forgot about us - we were waiting for our dessert and almost everyone had already left the restaurant and the remainder 2 reservations finished their desserts. At one point, our server realized he forgot about us and ran into the kitchen and disappeared for 20 minutes then told us our dessert would be out shortly. My girlfriend and I like raging restaurants on an overall scale of 1-10 and we would put this somewhere around 8.5 if they didn't drop the ball at the end, we would have given them much higher as we didn't see anything that needed to be improved up until then. Definitely add the bread serving

Rae Marino here, your realtor that likes to eat out a lot! This was a WINNER!! Last weekend my friends and I went to dinner at Heirloom Kitchen in Old Bridge. You all know that I eat out a lot and I have to say that this was one of the best culinary experiences I've had. Every dish was so well presented. It was a 4 course meal and we had a selection of 3-4 choices with appetizer, first course, entree and dessert. Our waitress, Emina, made sure that every course was served to all 8 of us simultaneously & explained every course in detail. The chef is David Viana, who was a top finalist in Top Chef. He also has an Heirloom Kitchen in the St. Laurent in Asbury Park & recently opened Lita in Aberdeen. I recommend that you look up the menu so you could understand it in more detail. The restaurant in Old Bridge is a BYOB. There are bars at the other locations. It was our first visit here and we decided to try the Thursday Night Special as a date night. The special included an appetizer, entree and dessert for two. Each course was thoughtful in texture, flavor and composition with generous portions for two. The service was outstanding and the atmosphere is both lively with the open view of the kitchen and intimate with the set up of seating groups. Will def be back!

God damn!!! This place, is amazing!! From the moment you show up and are greeted by the hostess, to the cookbook nook, to the waiters/staff, to the cooks, and my oh my to the food and presentation. We reserved a chef's table spot about a month in advance, because they fill up fast. We showed up a little early and they were able to seat us not long after. Our waiter was so engaging and pleasant. Very conversive about ourselves, about the history of Heirloom. Just a wonderfully pleasant employee. He introduced all the chefs to us as well. And then we began to order EVERYTHING. It's a pre-fix 4 course meal, with a couple options to pick through for each course. You can also do add ons, which we did! You can bring your own booze, but we opted to go with their offered bottles of wines (California). From first to last dish, I cannot complain about a single solitary thing. When the staff comes out and serves you, they describe to you what's in front of you too. This is not dinner, it's an experience of art that you savor. Some of the most favorite dishes - scallops, duck, and goat cheesecake. Definitely opt for the bread add on too if it's on the menu. The spread they come with, what! Awesome. It's not going to run cheap, but it's affordable in a way no other chef tables I know of allow. And the quality and night are worth more than the bill, hands down. A thousand times over I recommend.

I honestly knew practically nothing about this restaurant, my wife made the reservations. Actually I did hear it was expensive, that's it. So when six of us entered on a Friday night and the hostess welcomed us and mentioned a "dining experience" I said to myself, "How pretentious." After having eaten here I can say it wasn't the least bit pompous, it actually described it to a T. It was a hell of an experience. I'm not sure how their menu works on other days but on our visit there was a prix fixe 4 course dinner. Of course everything is cooked to order in sight of the dining tables. With each of the courses you had 3 or 4 items to choose from, very tough to decide. For the first course I opted for the crab tartlet. Secondly I ordered the crispy chicken (not like Popeyes). For my entrée I chose the duck, and the fourth course was dessert, the Taro mille feuille. Now a word about the servers. There were maybe three times the wait staff of an ordinary fine dining restaurant, all buzzing around cleaning tables, seating diners, serving food, pouring wine, and filling water glasses. Nobody was standing around looking at their phone. Excellent service! "The food was exemplary as it should have been and it certainly did not disappoint. Not a place I would go very often but I couldn't think of a better "dining experience" for a special occasion.

I was excited to try this place for my husbands birthday, and it succeeded our expectations! The place is pretty and cozy and if your lucky enough to get a reservation at the Chef's table, it's a great experience as the kitchen is open, and the chef can mingle with the guests. We sat at the back counter facing the Chef's table (not a bad view) you can watch all the food get plated like a piece of art. This makes you want to order ALL the dishes, because each plate is presented beautifully! We did the four course tasting. As for our waitress Kristin, she was AWESOME! Personable, funny and knowledgeable of the dishes. The Potato Salad Ravioli was to die for and the Cod dish was so tender with great flavors from the fresh herbs. This is a BYOB establishment, but they sell wines from a California Vineyard in case you forget.

Duck was the only thing good on the menu. Come for the duck. It was tender and fresh. Everything was too salty. Red snapper - frozen. Wasn't soft. Really salty. I didn't eat it. Carrot was good. Octopus - better than the snapper. Really really salty. I couldn't finish it. Crab appetizer - tasted really sour and acidic. Skip. It comes a la carte. I felt I paid a lot of money just for really salty food. Duck was the only dish that was worth it. I wished the sauce that came with it wasn't so salty. I didn't love everything from my meal.

Happy. Birthday. To. Me. I was treated to dinner from my wonderful fiance Andrea a few weeks ago; truth be told what propelled Heirloom Kitchen as my choice was Top Chef. Chef David represented and it would be silly not to make the drive down to taste the food, taste we did. We both went for the 5 course $95 dollar chefs tasting. Tuna Tartare kicked us off, it was presented with a jalapeno infused shaved pineapple slice, over a scoop of spicy curry ice cream. It was amazing, the cool temperature of the tartare and ice cream complimented each other well, a little spicy and sweet from the pineapple as well. Heck of a way to kick it off. Octopus, charred with crushed peanuts, roasted potato and red pepper. The char on the octopus was crisp and the meat itself was very soft and delicate; they must've tenderized it like it owed them money. Potatoes were cooked well and I loved the crunch from the peanuts. Peking duck, roasted duck breast over a scallion pancake and wild fried rice. Solid dish, duck was a little under done for my liking but the pancake and fried rice was very tasty! Pork shoulder, accompanied by more crushed peanuts (yum) and carrots. The pork was a little tough to get through but it is a shoulder cut so understandable, carrots gave this dish a clean component; I'm a sucker for peanuts, so having that topped over the pork made me very happy. Pureed mango over crispy black rice, assuming it is a play on mango sticky rice, so tasty, loved every bite of this, sweet and crunchy all the way through. Great experience here and would love to come back for another occasion or even a cooking class!

What a beautiful experiential restaurant Chef David Viana & Neilly have created with Heirloom Kitchen! I recently had the opportunity to dine here for their latest collab event "A Pastabilities Collaboration Dinner w. Chef Matthew of Fiorella". Already being such a huge fan of Fiorella's back home in PA - I knew this was one event I couldn't pass up. Let's just say it did NOT disappoint! From one of the many star pasta dishes that stuck with me, 'Spaghetti alla Chitarra' (Phenomenal) to the Heirloom Kitchen prepared show stopping dessert, "Fried Tortellini" (Ultimate Mic Drop) -- I left Heirloom Kitchen with such a pleasure-able food baby. Thank you Chef Matthew + Chef David Viana / Heirloom Kitchen staff for creating a beautiful evening that I could effortlessly enjoy with my loved ones! Until next time!

I had a $200 gift card, which was enough for the 3-course prix fixe dinner for two with a bottle of their super tuscan-style california wine. The tip was extra. The lighting was soft, and the rock music pleasant and just the right volume. The young servers were friendly and tried not be too intrusive. They started us with an amuse-bouche, a truffle duxelle on a thin blue corn cake, the size of a postage stamp. I put it in my mouth, but it barely registered. Apparently, bread service is extra, but we were not even offered any. Had the chopped salad: kale, broccoli, squash, apples, and gouda, mustard vinaigrette, and topped with a greasy fried onion ring. Enjoyed the salad, but the onion ring would have been better left off. Also had the bulgogi tortelloni. The tortelloni were very tasty, although the pasta wrapping was a little undercooked, and the sauce too salty. The dish was topped with white "horseradish" foam. I thought culinary foam was passé in the world of gastronomy. In any case, I don't care for it. It looked like something unmentionable. Entrées were the pork tenderloin and the "Peking" duck. I didn't try the pork. That was also garnished with the creepy white foam. My duck breast was juicy, perfectly cooked, and delicious, although I would have liked it served a little hotter. There was a little julienned cucumber on top, and a moo shu pankcake on the side, which I did not eat. It also came with a tasty side dish of "duck confit" fried rice with a soccarat-like crunch, which I enjoyed, and a lame scallion pancake that was dry and tough. Desserts were a tiny, forgettable chocolate-cinnamon mini-cake garnished with a teaspoon of whipped cream, and the banana pudding. The presentation was very interesting. It looked like a tennis ball on a bed of breadcrumbs, but it was actually a thin, spherical shell of white chocolate filled with banana pudding. The texture was a littler runny, but it tasted good. They also gave us two thimble-sized, dry ginger cookies, which resembled dog treats. I'm critical because of the price point. All in all, we did enjoy the meal. I probably won't eat here again, because even when I spend over $200 for dinner, I'm still hungry again the next day. Recommend you try if you want to spend $$$.

Yum. If you like food and have an eclectic palate, you will love it here. If you're not an adventurous eater, you probably won't enjoy it, but you're missing out! The cooking classes are also fun!!

Food: I was very excited to try this place after hearing so many good things about it! I was finally about to try it out and I was not disappointed. As a party of 2, and being an adventurous eater, we decided to order 3 orders of their 3 course $75 pre-fix menus. Best decision ever! We were able to try a little bit of everything and it was such a great experience! It did seem that throughout the meal, the chef that night (or whoever made curated the menu) seemed to be more of a dessert person. The balance between all the dishes were a little be skewed and I personally thought the flavor profile of the dessert was more well rounded than the actual dishes that night. I know the menu changes and the person I was with that night states that he had a great experience previously. Cost: The cost was definitely on the little more expensive end but it was nothing too surprising. This type of experience does always seem to be more expensive but overall, they are on the more reasonable end of the price tag, nothing that will stop me from coming back to enjoy another fantastic meal! Environment: Very cozy. I love the little nook where you can sit and wait. In the nook there's a bunch of cook books that you're able to grab and read if interested! Service: Great service. Our server was very attentive and she was able to check up on us just enough times but not often- she was very good. Uniqueness: I have been told that this place was amazing in regards to both the food, service and environment. It definitely is a place to come and try out- their open kitchen layout is definitely beautiful and entertaining!

I came to Heirloom Kitchen as part of a work team building event. Our group of 10 had an amazing time as we partnered with two staff members to cook a homestyle meal. The employees were friendly and shared tips and best practice as we assisted with the cooking our our meal. We had a green salad, fresh roasted red pepper salad, meatballs, spaghetti, chicken parmesan and penne vodka. All the food was to phenomenal!! Everything was made fresh in front of us including the dough for the spaghetti. I don't believe there was one person who left without learning something new. We thoroughly enjoyed cooking together and eating our delicious meal. I highly recommend coming here. I'll definitely be back!

Floored. Everything about this place is elite. Let's start from the beginning - they conveniently have parking and offer a coat check. If you arrive early, as we did, they make sure to seat you somewhere comfortably while you wait and even offered to open the wine we brought (it's BYOB but they offer a nice wine list from Dominico's). The place is dimly lit and beautifully decorated with a rustic farm table feel and a touch of elegance. They have an open floor setup where you can see the chefs freshly prepare your food...all while being pristinely clean. Definitely a 10/10 for ambiance. The food - the taste that keeps on giving. All the flavors burst in your mouth and leave you with lingering hints of herbs and spices. I can honestly say that they've mastered every cuisine while making sure it tastes like nothing you've tried prior. The owner/chefs take recommendations/recipes from everyone who works here and actually credit the recipe to the person who made the contribution (how amazing is that?!). Everything is cooked to perfection and these plates can bring a tear to your eye. Nothing I've tried here fell short of amazing. The service - where and how did they find these people?! Everyone here is so personable, caring, and and just all around pleasant. I've never seen a team work together so cohesively. Aside from your waiter/waitress, expect at least 3 other people to contribute to your experience by checking in to see how the food is, filling up your glass, clearing plates, etc. The employees truly make this place special and the owners should be proud of the people they have working there. I've been to many high end restaurants, including Michelin star rated ones, and they could definitely learn a lesson or two from the employees at Heirloom. If you're on the fence about coming here, do yourself a favor and just do it - you won't be dissatisfied! One last thing - they offer cooking classes here! I haven't had the chance to try one yet but that's the next thing on my to do list.

Well, well, well! Have you ever gone out to one of your favorite restaurants, sat at the chef's table and tempted to order EVERYTHING on the menu? Crazy-right? Well my buddies and I did just that tonight! Not crazy at all. Epic feast? Heck yes! Every dish was delicious. Service - impeccable. Noah, Michael, Christine keeping the food coming and not miss a beat. Great wines, great food, great chef, great culinary experience, great.....you get the point!

Exceptional! If you're looking for something completely out of the norm (in a good way) for NJ this is the place. You have several seating options here: chef's counter, back counter, private table or farm table. The chef's counter has about 12 seats and you are seated directly in front of the open kitchen. The back counter is directly behind these seats and you still have an excellent view of the food being prepared. You can choose from either a three or five course tasting menu. We decided to do the three course menu because it allowed us to customize our meal by picking from several options under each category. There are no choices for the five course menu. They do ask your entire party to choose either the 3 or 5 course menu. From the moment we arrived service was excellent. We ordered sparkling water and it was never empty. Every meal was presented beautifully. It was really nice watching everything being prepared too. This is a byob place but they have bottles of wine on the menu to buy too. They also do cooking classes. Sign up for their emails because the classes sell out quick! If you're looking to celebrate a special occasion or just treat yourself to an amazing night don't hesitate to make a reservation.

This restaurant and staff is out of this world amazing on all levels. I've been twice, both for special occasions, and it did not disappoint at all! Everything you will try will melt in your mouth. The combinations of flavors and textures are spot on! The food is beyond amazing but honestly its not just about the food. The atmosphere and décor go right with it, comfy cozy but eclectic and fun at the same time. Ohh and how can I forget to mention the staff, they all go above and beyond. Both times I've been the servers have so much knowledge and have been extremely friendly. So friendly that I'd want to be friends with them outside of heirloom LOL. Great place!!

We took a Julia child class on Monday ! We enjoyed it very much . The Chefs were very knowledgeable and explained everything very clearly . We enjoyed the hands on experience as well . The setting and cleanliness was above and beyond . Our favorite was the duck confit salad . The desert was amazing . Like I can eat that everyday ! Can't wait to try and make this at home . Only complaint that we had was towards protein selection. We were expecting a something a little more than chicken leg and trout . Trout was an interesting choice , would not be our first choice for a class this price . We kept an opened mind but We didn't enjoy it . Chicken was ok we were a bit underwhelmed. We've taken the classes before and we dined in the restaurant , we didn't feel like the meat selected match the quality that we've experienced before ! We also expected a more signature Julia Child dish . I did send the same feedback and they responded quickly . Explained "that classes cannot guarantee which recipes they use , it really comes down to what the chefs are inspired by, what's available, etc." Thank you for the experience , always a treat for us to come to Hierloom !
