HeJi Restaurant

HeJi is an astonishing restaurant with elegant ambience and exquisite flavours. It has tasting experiences, including vegetarian option, also an À la carte menu. We chose tasting experience, which to my taste was delicious and beautifully presented. However, it wasn't worth the price, as the portions were really tiny and we left slightly hungry. We were saying we should order extra from à la carte menu, but it definitely was expensive already, so we decided not to. We really loved the Cocktails Bar, which offers delicate cocktails for everyone's taste. I tried out the one with tomato essence and it was deeelicious. The atmosphere in the restaurant was amazing. Interior designers did a great job here and it really looked stunning. Service was friendly, but very staged, waiters were stressed not to make mistakes in their menu description 'speech' and didn't feel natural.

Absolutely stunning. Restaurant has gorgeous decor, you feel like in an Asian theatre or Opera house while constantly wanting to take pictures. Service was superb, virtually no waiting, always receiving attention through your culinary journey. Wine and tea somelliers make your journey even more exciting. Food was one of kind. Chef Aleksandr did a fantastic job with the tasting menu. Definitely coming back for my special occasion.

The degustation menu at HeJi is clearly ambitious and highly experimental. The kitchen is not afraid of bold flavor combinations, unusual pairings, and creative presentation. The restaurant itself also makes a strong first impression. The interior is stylish, modern, and thoughtfully designed, creating a pleasant and elegant atmosphere that sets expectations for a refined dining experience. That said, while experimentation can be exciting, the execution did not always feel balanced. Some dishes combined too many dominant flavors that ended up competing with each other rather than complementing one another. The dessert, for example, included lovely sesame ice cream, but it was served with a crunchy peanut plate, very sweet yuzu jam, and salted caramel poured over the top. Each component on its own could have been interesting, but together they created a mix of flavors that interfered with one another and did not allow the ice cream to truly shine. More concerning, however, were several aspects of the service and overall presentation that fell below what is typically expected in a fine dining setting. Cocktails, including a signature cocktail and Negronis ordered by our table, were served in plastic cups, which immediately felt out of place in a restaurant positioning itself as a fine dining destination. In addition, one of the cocktails was removed from the table while it was still half full when a guest briefly left for the restroom, without anyone asking whether the drink should be cleared. Throughout the meal we were also never asked how we were enjoying the food, which is unusual during a tasting menu where restaurants typically check in with guests at least once during the experience. One of the dishes was introduced by a waiter who delivered the description very quickly in a monotone voice that sounded memorized rather than engaging. Another small but noticeable detail was that one of the plates served had a visible chip, which is something most fine dining establishments are usually very careful to avoid. Overall, HeJi clearly aims to deliver a creative and experimental degustation experience, and the interior design creates a lovely setting for it. However, the level of service and attention to detail did not fully match the expectations typically associated with fine dining.

Incredible food in a wonderful setting. I'd highly recommend a visit. We used the private dining room and enjoyed a fantastic tasting menu. The decor is superb and the atmosphere is great. A unique experience.

All in all, the place is beautiful. I visited the cocktail bar specifically, and the drinks were great. I was the only person at the bar at the time and kinda wish the bartenders were more interactive - as they only approached me when I asked for another round. Price is on the higher side.

We had an absolutely unforgettable evening at HeJi, Michelin restaurant and one of Vilnius’ most remarkable fine dining restaurants Baltics. The food is extraordinary. Each dish is presented like a work of art, with the chef’s presentation turning every course into a performance. From delicate dim sum to perfectly charcoal-grilled beef, the flavors were as memorable as the visuals. No wonder HeJi is already celebrated as one of Lithuania’s most award-winning gastronomic spots. Executive Chef Aleksandras Fedorovičius brings East and West together in an elegant way, raising the bar for Asian cuisine in the Baltics. The Michelin recognition is well deserved, as every plate reflects precision, creativity, and passion. The wine and champagne list, curated by award-winning sommelier Martynas Pravilonis, is another highlight that offers nearly 100 champagnes and an expanding sake program that pairs beautifully with the menu. Service was polished and warm, completing an evening that was not just dinner but a truly world-class culinary journey. HeJi is a must-visit for anyone in Vilnius — Michelin-level dining in the heart of the Baltics.

Fantastic dinner at this fabulous restaurant! I selected the veggie tasting menu which exceeded my expectations. Every dish was delicious and artfully presented. The environment is very cool and interesting. Great staff.
