Family‑owned paletería and ice‑cream shop weaving Mexican dessert culture into Waco since 1998. Covered by the Waco Tribune‑Herald and local TV for its community roots and growth, it’s the sweet finish after tacos and enchiladas.

One of my favorite places to go for a quick ice cream or drink! Took my grandkids in to get ice cream. They chose two scoops in a cup. It's always way more than two scoops! We ended up taking several home and saving for later. I appreciate the worker being patient with the 7 of us. Forgot to get a picture. But if you go, You have to try the Tequila flavored ice cream! It's my favorite!

I recommend this place for Mexican ice creams. I tried the Mangonada loca at this place and it was spot on. It's a mango with Mexican spices. There are so many ice cream options I loved the ones with coconut. Not only that you can buy many other spicy sauce and stuff. The staff is friendly. Can be crowded during the afternoons of summer.

I was disappointed that this corn was from a can, which was trash! Prefer corn off the cob. It had way too much water. I could have drank it like a corn soup! Gross don't recommend corn cup here!!!

Google
Best ice cream and fruit place ever. The banana spilt are fantastic. If your planning a kids party this is the place to get your pinata and candy at plus table and chairs and inflatables.

I have got a Mangonada few times. It has been ok to bad. The location on Colcord is good. But this one. It always tastes like water & Chile. I don’t know how they make it but not recommended. The mango chunks are huge. I hate leaving negative reviews. But please make these better. Please. Called Colcord location to try to get another one that tastes good, but since I got at another location they said I was out of luck. I understand. No matter how convenient this location is, I don’t think I can do that again.

Yelp
This was at the Valley Mills location. We arrived right before 8:30PM and our plan was to order some ice cream and eat it inside, but we noticed all the chairs were stacked against the wall. When asked if we could use the chairs the lady behind the register said no because if they leave the chairs out for people to use people usually stay there until late. Mind you they close at 10:00PM so they don't let customers enjoy their ice cream inside if it's after 8:30PM.

Yelp
en la Ubicación de la Colcord es un map service las chicas siempre atienden de mal humor nunca dan lo que piden sirven la fruta hechada a perder y nunca sirven nada completo siempre les hace falta algo a los platillos

Yelp
Everything we ordered had a strange taste and the owner was constantly staring at my friends and I. Very inappropriate.

Yelp
Was craving an elote, looked it up and found this gem. Small business but with a lot of options:ice cream, fruta picada, variety of Mexican candies and other products. Reasonably priced and delicious.

Yelp
Hidden gem in Waco- authentic with a great variety. Get the rice popsicles!!!! They are one of my favorite treats in town. Staff is friendly and welcoming.

Yelp
Mr. Garcia and his team provided the tastiest popsicles for our daughter's wedding on 15 AUG in a rollaway cart that could sit outside. At first, I was skeptical about keeping 75-100 popsicles frozen for a few hours as the temperature climbed to nearly 105deg, however, he had them packed in dry ice and they remained frozen solid in there. They were so very tasty and had a variety of flavors which our guests loved! All of the popsicles were a hit and we would gladly go back to Helados La Azteca again for more on 3302 Franklin Avenue, Waco TX. Easygoing and user friendly! I highly recommend Helados La Azteca for outdoor or indoor treats for gatherings for any ages--kids or adults. Everyone loved them!

Yelp
Fantastic ice cream parlour. The banana split was one of the best I've had in Waco. They also have more variety than any other ice cream place.

Yelp
Absolutely delicious! I had a scoop of the tequila ice cream, and it was absolutely creamy and amazing. Everyone is so friendly, and I can't wait to return for more.

Yelp
A great place to get your ice cream or popsicle fix! Because the clientele is primarily Latino, you'll be almost completely away from the usual tourist crowd that's taking over Waco. Not all that clean and stay away from the bathroom, plus the seating is generally lousy. But IMHO the flavor makes up for it. Try the horchata!

Yelp
This is the best little hole-in-the-wall for authentic Mexican snacks! Many aguas frescas to choose from and a grand assortment of ice cream flavors as well (try the birthday cake, so good)! They also have a store section with a variety of snacks straight from Mexico - very cool. Can't wait to go back and try their corn in a cup.

Yelp
It was no where to be found when we got to the address. Guessing it's closed down. Sucks because we were excited to try it out from the pictures shown. Waste of time and gas

Yelp
This place is such a gem! So many authentic Mexican treats. Paletas in every flavor, ice cream in flavors native to Mexico, candies, treats, agua frescas...... so many options!
