Wow! This pretty much sums it up 😋 So surprised to find this place in Remscheid. If I am very picky I would have wished for a better wine pairing with my fish - but that's more due to personal taste than the quality of the wine - and more variety in the desert section. Anyway I am looking forward to dining there again.

Maybe we just had a bad night, but it was quite ordinary food coupled with a shockingly bad service e.g. they suggested a wine, brought a glass and couldn't tell which wine it was when asked. Similarly, plates were placed on the table without explanation what they were. I remember this place a few years back, when it was fantastic, but it seems since loosing their star, they have also very much lost their sparkle.

Thus everything wasnt as perfect as expected at a Michelin Starred Restaurant, this venue stil deserves a 5 * Review from me due to the Price Performance Ratio, High Quality/Serving and Location/Ambiance. The restaurant is situated in a nice villa on the hills at the suburb area of Remscheid. You are wellcomed and seated nicely and formly with this typical upscale place. After ordering the drinks and arranging some special wishes for the menu ( I am getting quail instead of Lamb) the staffs served the breads and Amuse Bouche. As it was a very busy Saturday evening the staffs needed some time to serve the completed menu and in some points way too long - between the courses. We arrived at 8 PM and the Dinner ended around 11 PM...

Excellent, high quality food. Delicious and worth a visit. The first Michelin star restaurant in the Bergische Region. Set in a former villa on a hill overlooking Remscheid, it allows visitors to park cars on its premises. Although just one restaurant, one section serves the Michelin star menu, while the other a "non-Michelin star". The latter has seasonal specials that range from Christmas and Valentine's Day menus to lobster and fish days, wine days (if I remember correctly) and wild game. The Valentine's Day menu was, in general, delicious and also considered the fact that I do not eat red meat. For starters we had red tuna carpaccio, which when accostumed to Japanese sushi and sashimi was just OK. Of all plates it was the one that we least enjoyed. This was followed by fish and duck breast, both of which were fantastic. For dessert we had flambéed pancakes with ice cream. The restaurant is definitely worth a visit if you enjoy fine dining! Es war alles fabelhaft! Ein Gaumenschmaus! Wir waren heute das erste Mal im Restaurant und sind von Anfang bis Ende einfach nur positiv überrascht (gewesen). Geschmacklich war das 5 Gänge Menü sehr lecker und alles super aufeinander abgestimmt. Die herzliche und sehr aufmerksame Art der Gastgeber ist sehr lobenswert. Schade, dass wir als gebürtige Remscheider erst so spät auf dieses Restaurant aufmerksam wurden. Definitiv empfehlenswert. Danke für das tolle Geburtstagsessen!

Heldmann & Herzhaft in Remscheid beeindruckt mit seiner einzigartigen Kombination aus exquisiter Küche, herzlicher Gastfreundschaft und einem stilvollen Ambiente. Das Essen ist auf höchstem Niveau – kreativ, geschmackvoll und aus besten Zutaten zubereitet. Jeder Teller ist ein kleines Kunstwerk, das die Tradition des ehemaligen Sternerestaurants (1 Michelin Stern) würdevoll weiterführt. Die Freundlichkeit des Personals ist herausragend; man fühlt sich vom ersten Moment an willkommen und wird mit großer Aufmerksamkeit betreut. Das elegante Ambiente schafft eine Wohlfühlatmosphäre, die den Besuch zu einem besonderen Erlebnis macht. Ein absolutes Muss für Genießer und Feinschmecker! Genügend Parkplätze stehen vor dem Haus bereit.
