Inside Denver’s Winter Olympics-Themed Pop-Up Bar | Eater Denver

"Staged as the team's second winter pop-up in an adjacent space to their restaurant, this decked-out, Olympics-focused bar was created for the PyeongChang 2018 Winter Games and runs through February 25. It offers six TV screens for viewing, an Olympics-themed cocktail and food menu with playful country-specific drinks and Korean-style bar snacks, and entertainment options such as hockey tables, shot skis, couches and even a chair lift; a mid-week visit by a photographer found the place packed. The pop-up is open starting at 6 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday for the duration of the Games." - Josie Sexton

Hello Darling (Commons Park)

Google
Ok, one of my new favorite spots to work at night in Denver. Super classy, such a vibe, plenty of outlets and seats. The matcha slaps. One bathroom, but it’s nice. They have ginger shots. We love the burn. Highly recommend!! Didn’t get on the WiFi. Just used hotspot so not sure how good the WiFi is

Grish240

Google
The mocha and matcha were very good. Our service experience on this occasion (Sunday morning) was excellent. The ambiance felt elevated but not as bright as I expected. The morning sun is behind the building so there isn’t as much natural light beaming through the windows. Nevertheless, if you’re down by the riverfront, it’s a solid coffee shop option.

Google
Cozy, beautiful and delicious coffee shop! Tried the matcha latte and it was the perfect amount of sweetness and was beautifully designed. We will definitely be returning to try more!

Google
I came here with a group of women this week. The barista wasn’t very hospitable, and my latte was so strong I had to keep adding creamer. However, many of the other ladies loved their matchas and coffees! The atmosphere is top notch. The location is amazing & I will definitely be back.

Pearl B.

Google
The shop has a nice vibe. Visited it one afternoon to check out their guest dj for the coffee and EDM. Their lattes are good but you could also buy alcoholic drinks

Lucy M.

Google
What an adorable place that's hidden in the commons park/lodo area of Denver! I highly recommend coming in and getting coffee and a little snack. Also they have cocktails and mocktails for an evening get together with friends too!

Tsuzuki K.

Google
Great location, beautiful ambiance, and great coffee/tea! Service is mixed (sometimes they’re super friendly other times I’ve had to wait a while because the staff was chatting amongst themselves). Have been back multiple times and love the chai latte here! It also does get pretty crowded, which is not necessarily a bad thing, but on summer days it gets pretty toasty inside.

Google
A beautiful, relaxing, and inviting indoor/outdoor space to have a coffee or a cocktail, depending on the hour. Gorgeous decor, comfortable seating, and chill vibes makes for the perfect spot for a catch-up with a friend or a place to unwind. The cocktail was delicious and the staff were attentive without being intrusive. I will definitely be back the next time I'm in Denver.

Yelp
stopped by this little coffee shop on a whim, and it turned out to be one of the coziest spots I've visited in a while. The atmosphere is instantly welcoming--soft lighting, comfy seating, and just enough background music to set a relaxed vibe without overpowering conversation. It's the kind of place where you can settle in with a book, get some work done, or just enjoy a slow morning. Overall, this is the kind of neighborhood gem you don't want to gatekeep but also secretly hope stays just as charming. Great coffee, great service, and a cute atmosphere that makes you want to return.

Yelp
Say hello to excellent vibes! This spot is amazing. The energy is great, the place is beautifully decorated, the baristas are friendly, and best of all the coffee is great! I would absolutely come back here for a coffee date or even a remote work day. There is a generous amount of seating. I also love that it's directly across from a pretty park so on warm days you can take your coffee to go and have a nice stroll!

Yelp
Stopped in for a beverage before dinner. This location is very busy, yet still has a chill vibe. Attention is definitely paid to detail in the decor and the menus are tastefully a part of it in the nicely painted signs, one for coffee and one for cocktails. Even though there are lots of options for seating, most were full on this chilly day and the warm and welcoming vibe encourages people to linger. I ordered the Paloma. They were out of grapefruit so they asked to substitute with hibiscus tea. Sure, I'm game. It was a good substitute, There was only one employee staffing the very busy place, so an off-duty employee who happened to be visiting stepped in to help. It was very much needed. Coffee service runs until 5:00pm. Happy Hour is 3-6pm M-F with 20% off all cocktails, beer, and wine.

Yelp
I came here for coffee one morning in October when the weather was just perfect. I sat outside and enjoyed the sun on my face and a walk in the park with my coffee. Excellent location, cool decor and friendly service will keep this place on my list of cool things around Denver.

Anonymous U.

Yelp
This place is just absolutely adorable. This is the perfect place to come on a Saturday or Sunday morning and stay for a while doing work or being with friends. I've only been here in the morning when they're serving just coffee, but this is one of my favorite places. Cute as can be.
google avatar

Crystal R.

Yelp
Cozy spot to come to meet friends. I enjoyed my mocha latte with oatmilk my go to drink. I love the couches and comfy spots available. I also love the plants everywhere and the overall fun vibe. The people working here are always friendly and helpful. I do wish they took cash I find it strange when a coffee place doesn't take cash. I also think the bathrooms could use a little tlc. But overall this is a nice little spot in the city and is walkable to a lot of other places in Denver. (Will share photos at next visit)

Yelp
What a cute place this is!! My friend and I came to Denver and ended up on a coffee shop crawl because of bad weather one day so we ended up here. It's a little downtown coffee shop just outside a nice park, and there is plenty of street parking just up the road. It's bigger inside than it looks outside with lots of cushioned areas to sit as well as regular tables, which makes a great study spot. We got drinks and ended up just sitting at the bar where we still did some work on our computers because the bar area is so spacious They only have one single toilet bathroom so I recall having to wait like 10 mins to pee but the bathroom itself was very clean! And the servers at the bar were helpful when we ordered. The tea I got was an earl grey with lavender syrup, and I quite enjoyed it! It wasn't much different in flavor to me than a regular earl grey (which uses vanilla syrup), and I had a lavender earl grey latte from a different shop earlier that day (Hearth) that had a stronger lavender flavor. Nevertheless, I love a regular earl grey latte anyhow so this was lovely to me! My friend got a cup of chamomile which she said got the job done as well (warm up, no caffeine). Overall the interior of the place is just adorable - if I lived in Denver I would come here to study sporadically for sure!
google avatar

Yelp
I loved the rose cardamom latte with almond milk! Great flavor, I would have drank a few cups if I could. And such a cute ambiance and very friendly staff!
google avatar

I W.

Yelp
Such a cute coffee place! Not sure how I never been here but location is by the park so that's nice after a walk, the inside is so cute and pretty big! Staff were very friendly and my matcha was just perfect which is pretty rare for me to say since usually I'm not too much of a fan. Definitely should visit if you haven't.

Yelp
I'll be giving Hello Darling another try soon but my first experience left some to be desired. The staff was exceptionally great and that kept the overall experience positive. However, I did not like my drink - maybe a bad pick on my end or maybe a bad batch. The Clover Club was on the bland and weak side for me. Overpowered on the raspberry flavor and underpowered the alcohol. Nonetheless, the vibe is trendy and busy and perfect for a date night.
google avatar

Erin S.

Yelp
This cute little coffee and cocktail shop is definitely making itself known. Hello Darling has found itself on Westwords 100 for this year, and I would agree with its accolades. It was very busy for a Monday afternoon and the people just kept coming in with very little downtime in between orders for the one worker. It is a quaint little space with several different types of seats and tables available. All that was left were the bar stools at this point in the day for us. The decorations are lovely- super modern and very trendy. This is definitely a great place to hang out, with your laptop or with another, or all by yourself. It gives off the vibe of being very lowkey while having quality drinks and nibbles. I selected a margarita to enjoy while taking in the views. The margarita was tasty and not overly sweet- which I like. Many seemed to be ordering the espresso martini, which makes sense since they are also a coffee shop. Will return again. They have another location up in The Highlands as well.
google avatar

Amanda T.

Yelp
Cute and a variety of cool drinks. Plus free parking for 2 hours! Very lively with people

Isabel T.

Yelp
Very cute and cozy inside. I got a nitro and it was the best one I've had in a long time! Also, tried a gin cocktail and that was delicious. Very friendly service as well.
google avatar

Lindsey W.

Yelp
The OG location of Hello Darling is amazing! It's one of my favorite coffee shops in Denver. It's so aesthetic with a lot of greenery and light pink accents. I always get a cold brew with vanilla and cinnamon which is always good and always tastes the same. I sometimes get a breakfast burrito which i would probably give those a 5/10. I do like the salsa/hot sauce options that have. I like that they have cocktails and wine along with some snack options for happy hour. There are always good vibes there. If you are going to work from there just know there aren't that many plugs and on the weekdays it usually is busy so get there early!
google avatar

Carmen H.

Yelp
Customer service was good! We both got Matcha and it was excellent! There was a lot of people, but it was quiet enough for everybody to study as everybody was in their own zone. The service was fast and the pastries were amazing. Definitely recommend to come here!
google avatar

Magda C.

Yelp
Chic furniture and atmosphere, great service, and I had one of the best almond croissants I've ever had. Way to go!
google avatar

Tracy L.

Yelp
This cafe was walking distance from where I was staying, so perfect spot to check in. The ambiance is so nice and the location is so cute with plenty of seating! I was a bit disappointed by what I ordered. I got a butter croissant as well as the hot chocolate. The croissant was overly flaky and got a bit messy. I liked how the hot chocolate came with art and it was good, but nothing special. I will say this spot would be so cute for those working from home and looking for a place to get some work done.
google avatar

Nora F.

Yelp
I love the vibe here. We sat at the bar and had coffee while doing some work. The chai was delicious along with the potato cheese danish. 10/10 recommend.
google avatar

Andrea M.

Yelp
Great spot for a drink! They're all $13 so that's awesome to find in Denver. Parking is pretty simple, off street. The inside is super aesthetically pleasing. They also serve coffee & pastries. My espresso martini was delicious!
google avatar

Anna F.

Yelp
Hello Darling on Little Raven is such a cute spot! The vibe is cozy and inviting, with plenty of comfy seating whether you're catching up with friends or doing some heads down work. The staff is always super friendly, and the coffee and treats are fantastic. I'm not usually big on pumpkin spice, but their homemade version is surprisingly delicious--just the right balance of savory and sweet. Hello Darling is on the way to my office so I always try to stop in on the odd days I don't work from home.
google avatar

Jessie W.

Yelp
Went here with a friend. It's very cute inside and the staff was friendly. I got a strawberry matcha and it was sooooo delicious!
google avatar

Danielle H.

Yelp
Came here to meet up with a friend just for a quick catch up. After 5 PM it gets difficult to find a seat because it's so packed. Very fun spot to meet up because it's loud and energetic. They have coffee until around 5 PM and then they move onto to cocktails. Expect to pay $7 through $15 for a drink. Would happily come again, but be aware that it does get very loud, and there is next to no parking.
google avatar

Dalina H.

Yelp
Met with a client at this cute and popular chic coffee shop that gives me New York cafe vibes on a weekend morning that she recommended. Ordered an iced chai latte with regular milk. My client ordered the London Fog which she really enjoyed as well. Heard that the matcha is delicious. Will have to try that next time. There is limited seating, so be mindful of your visit. Service dogs are allowed too. Love the decorations and natural light. Looking forward to coming back to do some work in this comfortable cozy cafe.
google avatar

Trina W.

Yelp
The ambiance and decor is fabulous! By day, it's a coffee shop. At night, it's your first stop before dinner out. They make a great mule and the service is quick. There are many places to sit and enjoy your bevy. It's more expensive than it needs to be and the drinks are more ice than alcohol, but hey at least it's a chic experience and good vibes.
google avatar

Crystal R.

Yelp
Coffee: very flavorful and rich! 10/10 Almond Croissant: it was okay. The one I had was kind of hard, maybe a day old? But nonetheless still tasty. 6/10 Service: the staff were super friendly and seemed genuine. 10/10 Ambiance: cute and cozy! I absolutely loved the wall accents and decorations. I also like how they dedicate days to WFH at their coffee shop. If I lived in Colorado, I'd definitely come here all the time. 11/10 would recommend!!!

Yelp
Cute small coffee bar/daytime drinking shop. They open at 7am with breakfast burritos, oatmeal and strawberry greek yogurt. They have a nice range of hot beverages including the standard coffee drinks and 10 different teas. Cocktails, wine and beer are available. Not a full bar. They have a limited food menu including Charcuterie and snacks. Happy Hour is Mon-Fri 3pm-6pm with 20% off alcoholic drinks. They have several non-alcoholic drinks also. You order at the bar, pay debit or credit card only. No cash or tip jar. They call out the name you provided when your drinks or food is ready. Ryan B took my order. He was quick.
google avatar

Lauren K.

Yelp
Came here for some date night drinks after dinner! Love the aesthetic, beautiful interior. They had trivia going on (Every wednesday 7pm) with some music which made the atmosphere lively and fun, but not too distracting/loud to have our own conversation. The crowd had a good mix - some there with friends for trivia, others in small groups just chilling, a couple people working on computers or reading. I wanted the paloma but they were out of grapefruit (they use fresh squeezed juice) so I got the margarita instead, which was solid, there's also a spicy option I didn't try. The bf got the old-fashioned, which he said was decent as well. There's a bunch of games tucked away in the corner as well, so we pulled out a Table Topics Date Night deck and had fun asking each other questions. Since we were taking our time, what I liked about the service is that the bartender checked in with us occasionally but let us ask for the check when we were ready, and we didn't feel rushed or pressured at all. Only con is there isn't an abundance of parking, but we did find a meter nearby. Would like to come back here during the daytime, I think the window is garage style so it can open up all the way in good weather.
google avatar

Michelle A.

Yelp
Stopped by this coffee shop to work and I appreciated I did not feel pressured to buy something upon arrival. The service was great once I ordered and their pastries are delicious and fresh. The atmosphere is great- a lot of people pick this spot to work and saw a couple of people taking meets which shows it's not too rowdy or loud. I had a friend meet me there and we got to chat but still felt that the place was big enough that we were not being loud or bothering people around us. I also like that this place closes later than other coffee shops and in the summertime they raise the garage doors to create a fun ambiance!
google avatar

Yelp
This place was right down the street from my "Kasa" for a couple days in Denver, and I gotta say, what an awesome place for a neighborhood coffee shop! On a Tuesday morning, it was bustling with activity, from people socializing, having meetings, or just working on their computer. Their seemed to be a comfortable spot for all, and the service was able to keep up with the influx of patrons throughout. For me personally, I went with my standard iced mocha latte, and also went for one of their savory pastries. Speaking first to the pastry, they warmed it up just a tad, and it contained cherry tomatoes, gruyere cheese, and a super flaky croissant like dough. I loved it. I could eat this thing every morning if I were a local, and it was just one of many choices. To my drink.. spot on. Good amount of kick, but with that slightly sweet and creamy mocha taste. I thoroughly enjoyed sitting on one of their comfy couches, working on my phone, and just enjoying the hum of the place as people came in and out. I can see why the rating is so high and it just seems well loved in what is otherwise, to be frank, a kind of "sterile" modern section of Denver.
google avatar

David C.

Yelp
Hello Darling is a coffee shop (that also serves alcohol) nestled within the beautiful area of Confluence Park in between LoDo and LoHi. Sometimes, it is difficult to get those work gears turning while sitting at home with T.V. and snacks distracting you. I have found Hello Darling a fantastic spot to stop by and get some work done for a few hours. Plus, if you need a break, Confluence Park is seconds away to take a nice walk, pet some dogs, and enjoy South Platte River. Although I've enjoyed the coffee here, the ambiance is the real selling point here. No matter where you sit, there is nice and calming lighting as well as decorations to give you just enough to look at while not being distracting. Again, perfect for getting a few hours of work done. Another huge plus is that parking on Little Raven St is free (up to 2 hours at a time and then you have to move your car) which can be hard to find in the core of downtown Denver. If you are looking for a nice coffee spot to get some work done or just chill with a friend or two, make sure to check out Hello Darling!
google avatar

Anh N.

Yelp
Can't focus on your work at home? Tired of your boring home office? Need to get away from your noisy parents, roommates, and siblings? Look no further because Hello Darling is the perfect spot!! I stopped in to get some work done and Hello Darling reminded me how much I love coffee shops. The atmosphere is so great. The space is pretty big with lots of options for seating. There are lots of outlet plugs along the high top counter that faces the outside windows. There's also comfy couches and other tables. The baristas were friendly and I could hear them chatting with customers who chose to sit at the bar! I ordered a matcha latte (which already came sweetened) and it was great. Definitely good for those who haven't quite acquired the taste for the full grassy effect. Extra bonus for the nearby free 2 hour street parking, and being across from a park and other walkable areas if you need a movement break! Basically I'm in love with this place and I want to come here every day
google avatar

Nicole S.

Yelp
The cutest little coffee shop! Located right by confluence park and the light rail, parking and walk ability are both quite easy! The matcha was great! Great place for a coffee meet up or just to get some work done.
google avatar

Abbey K.

Yelp
Am I coffee/cocktail connoisseur by any means? No. But I like my shops enough and have my favorites to study in. Hello Darling is one of them but that's not what gave the 5 stars. I took my friend here to study and it may have been fate or bad luck but as a visitor with a myriad of health issues she ended up getting sick in the shop. Not only were the staff extremely helpful with medical training during rush hour but they were also comforting in a potentially extremely embarrassing situation. Would I recommend getting sick in the middle of any public place? Obviously no. But if you had to, Hello Darling is extremely safe and accommodating to the unexpected
google avatar

Allie G.

Yelp
Obsessed with this coffee shop! I visited on a Monday morning and found Hello Darling full of people working on their laptops and enjoying its cozy ambiance. The decor here is beautiful - sage green and pink color scheme, mid century modern furniture, plants, velvet chairs, etc. I ordered an Iced Matcha and a Cherry Tomato Gruyère Pastry, both of which came out quickly. The Iced Matcha was delicious and the perfect level of sweetness. The pastry was also tasty, though I wish there was more filling inside the flaky dough. Despite its peaceful elegance, Hello Darling appeared to be dog friendly as well, which I love. And it turns into a cocktail bar in the evening! It was the perfect place to catch up with a friend and if I lived in Denver, I would come here all the time.
google avatar

Ashley T.

Yelp
Ended up working here one morning and had a great time! I got an iced matcha latte - it had a weird taste but enjoyed that it was not super sweet like a lot of other matcha drinks at coffee shows in LoDo. Inside is super cute! There is a good variety of seating, both indoors and outdoors. If you work from here, one note is that there is not a lot of outlets available. Your best change would be to sit by the windows facing the street. The couches are also super comfy! The ambiance is unmatched - will definitely be returning. Music is loud enough to be picked up by microphones. Staff is so nice and great to chat with! When i was waiting for my matcha, i noticed the staff greeting people by their name, which I love! The

Yelp
This place is so cute! This tiny shop is in a great location with amazing drinks. They have a wide variety of drinks and even cocktails! What we got: * honey oat milk latte (5/5) * iced matcha (5/5) * iced caramel latte (5/5) * 2 chocolate croissants * 2 almond croissants -- the filling was delicious and evenly distributed! The croissants were so huge and so delicious. We enjoyed every bite of it! The workers were so delightful and I really enjoyed my experience here. I would absolutely come here frequently if I lived in Colorado. Would love to come back in the future.

Yelp
Really cute coffee shop that is a wine, beer and cocktail bar in the evening. Lots of cute areas to sit. And a small outdoor patio space. I had a London Fog latte and my husband had a latte Along with burritos. Both very good. Our Barista was friendly and helpful!
google avatar

Aundya A.

Yelp
Clover club cocktail was delicious! I really like their coffee menu too. This place is great for all day fun. The stafff is super friendly, and it's really easy to find a table here since it's a fairly large space.
google avatar

Mark H.

Yelp
Great spot for coffee. These folks nail it every time. Location and setting are spot on.
google avatar

Mariya S.

Yelp
Love the location, the vibe, greenery, coffee is good, but not the best one in my life :) but it is a very cute little coffee shop in a great location
google avatar

Tricia K.

Yelp
Absolutely adored this coffee shop. One of the few places that allows doggies indoors which we love and so appreciate! The other patrons were dog-friendly as well, which is always a plus - our dog got lots of friendly pats. The music wasn't overly loud and I saw a handful of outlets. This would be great for remote working or to meet-up and chat and hangout as it's a big place. Lots of small tables and couches, so every person working and every small group hanging out had their own space. We shared an iced chai oat milk latte and hot matcha latte, both tasty and not too sweet. Right outside is the Denver Millennium Bridge and the popular "Gold Wings" photo op station. Across the street is Confluence Park and the Highland Cable Bridge into the Highlands. This is a great stop if you're bringing friends on a little walking tour of Denver or if like us, you just want to have a leisurely meandering morning.
google avatar

Jessica M.

Yelp
I'm so happy this place exists!! We took the newest edition to our fur family here and had such a great experience.. this is ONLY place we have found that allows dogs indoors AND serves incredible coffee and cocktails. The service was great and the staff were super sweet. The decor is seriously stunning also. We ordered espresso martinis and a cappuccino, all of which was fantastic.
google avatar

Anna C.

Yelp
The ambiance was soft and feminine unfortunately the music was so loud everyone had to shout to converse. Other than that it's a fun a place to grab a drink before or after dinner. If the music was lower it would be a great place for an early afternoon book club and cocktails. The waitress was nice and handled the whole bar by herself with grace.
google avatar

Katie N.

Yelp
Super cute coffee shop! Stopped in on a Sunday to get a few things done on my computer. WiFi was great and there is ample seating all over. I saw multiple outlets too. I ordered the drip coffee and it was great.
google avatar

Yelp
Great service, delicious coffee, and great views of the Denver streets. WiFi was solid.

Yelp
Comfortable coffee cafe near Riverfront Park. Nice selection of coffees. Limited selection of teas. Great place to meet friends. Recommended.

Yelp
I adore this place! It's an unassuming coffee shop located right across from Commons/Confluence Parks. Their interior decor is a very calming, hip, and chic aesthetic. I've gone during the day for a matcha latte and also experienced the night life component with one of their cocktails and candlelit tables. Whichever time you choose to go, it's guaranteed to be a vibe! The staff is phenomenal and down-to-earth, the atmosphere is peaceful, and the drinks are great quality for what you pay for. I can't wait to go back!

Yelp
Great coffee and pastries in the morning, switching to cocktails in the evening. Very friendly staff.
