This is an excellent spot for a relaxing lunch. We tried the braised beef soup, which was generous enough to share. The meat was incredibly tender, and the soup was packed with flavor. The chicken skewers came in a set of three and had just the right amount of spice. We also ordered the pork dumplings, which were perfectly cooked and paired wonderfully with the sauce. Highly recommend checking this place out!

We came here with our church group after a volunteer event nearby. Hello Dumplings has friendly staff and a variety of dishes including soup dumplings, noodles and even boba and milk teas. The weather was nice so we were able to sit outside. There is a playground in the middle of the area with seasonal decorations. All of our kids got plenty of activity.

Tried something new in Dallas thanks to CultureMap Dallas. Had the Spinach & Peanut Salad, Shrimp with Zucchini Dumplings, Braised Beef Soup Noodle, Black Tea and Jasmine Tea. Check it out before the alleged DDD episode in February.

Google
As usual great food and great experience. I love that this location offers a couple of things that is not offered at the other location. The dumplings are so good and the Braised Beef soup is a must have. The ribs were good but not the best I’ve had at a similar restaurant. Will definitely be back. 🥰

Google
The dumplings were just okay. Wasn’t bad, but also wasn’t the best. The flavors seemed to be a little off. I was soup dumpling was okay, didn’t really have much soup in it because it was so small. The cold pressed coffee and Thai iced tea were delicious.

Everything about this place was terrific. 10/10 I would definitely recommend this place if you're in Dallas. The pork/nappa dumplings that where absolutely jam packed with a ton of flavor. The chicken skewers were filled with so many spices and seasonings that it had my mouth watering. Definitely filled my cravings for lunch. A little hot, but if you like the heat, it's all good. The main dish that we got was the braised beef soup noodle. It was so tender, one of the most delicious things I've been had honestly. Good music, good vibes overall.

Google
This a one of my favorite places to eat oriental food. The customer service is good, the location is a quiet spot but also next to the freeway for easy access, and the food is delicious. I do wish they can share their sweet & spicy sauce recipe; it's very delicious.

Google
I can't rave enough about the food here. It is delicious, and service is wonderful. There are vegetarian and gluten free options available. Parking is easy in the lot for The Hill shopping center, or it is right next to the Walnut Hill station on the Red Line. The smoothies are delicious as well. Highly recommend.

Yelp
Delicious hidden gem and a must go (again and again!) First you need to take photo with the giant dumpling and chopsticks outside! Check out the specials (near the cashier), we got a pork over noodles special that was amazing. I definitely wanted to try the shanghai noodles too. Then we had to order dumplings, absolutely loved the fish dumplings! It's rare to see dumplings with fish in the filling, big chunks of fish! We've had the rice dumplings which are to die for so if you've never had dumplings wrapped with rice, you gotta get those. For starters we got the cucumber salad and it's so refreshing and a little tangy!

Yelp
I stopped by Hello Dumpling while visiting Dallas. When you walk up they have a humongous dumpling with huge chopsticks and as you come around the corner they have a really cute outdoor dining area. When you walk into the restaurant, you are welcomed with really cute decor, soft inviting colors, and really fun hanging lamps. They have a pretty good variety of options on their menu, my husband went with the chicken dumplings and he said they were no better or worse than any other chicken dumplings. He ordered me the chicken basil bites because it is one of the gluten-free items that he was able to get for me and they were absolutely amazing, very hot and fresh with a nice crisp and perfect amount of seasoning. And I absolutely loves the crispy basil that was hidden between the chicken! We also got the chicken dumplings steamed in rice and I wish they had a crispy option because the soft mushy rice was really weird. The flavor was good but the texture for me personally was just very offputting. My kids got the pork dumplings which they absolutely loved, they said it had way more flavor than the chicken and they wish they would have ordered more. All in all it's a cute place with good options, just make sure you ask all necessary questions before you order something you may be I'm sure about.

Yelp
Had take out a friend brought and it was wonderful. Both steamed & fried pork /cabbage dumplings both great, flavorful. The cucumber & noodle salads were delicious. This spot will be on repeat for me. SO happy it's in my neighborhood! Kimberly

Yelp
Delicious dumplings that you can enjoy while the little ones play in the massive play area! What's not to love. We make this our appetizer / course 1 stop whenever we are in the Hill area. The food is super tasty and the service is prompt. We've had the chicken and mushroom dumplings along with the basil chicken bites. All super tasty and fresh! Pro tip: they serve joy macaroon ice cream sandwiches!

Catalina M.

Yelp
Great spot! Food was good and fast. They have a variety of dumplings and noodle plates. We had the pork soup dumplings (very good), the chicken with mushroom pan fried dumplings, the rice covered meatballs and Service was great! Fast and friendly. Brought some stickers for our daughter :-). My only complain is I wished they had beer to go with the food

K P.

Yelp
This place is fantastic! Stopped by for a late lunch and loved everything. The soup dumplings were great as was the beef stew. The owner was behind the counter and answered our questions. 10/10, will return again. The ambiance and setting are great as well -- good for a hang out or date night.

Yelp
DON'T COME HERE FOR BOBA!!! IT WAS TRASH I was craving fresh dumplings and I decided to stop by and try this place out. This place had a pretty decent line for it being a Saturday. The cashier was really sweet and answered the questions I had on the menu items. The dumplings came out pretty fast. Thankfully they tasted super fresh and the veggies were crunchy. The only issue I had with them is that they were lukewarm. As for the boba...I drink a lot of boba so I am aware of how fresh boba tastes-this boba was smiley and hard. It tasted like the frozen boba you get at the grocery store and make in the microwave. Also they barely served any boba in the drink. Overall this spot was pretty underwhelming and I don't think I'll be giving it another chance.

Yelp
Hidden in a shopping center is a gem! Go and visit Hello Dumpling and prepare to be wow'd by this place. Beautifully designed and welcoming is a place to experience the best dumplings I have ever had. A variety are offered in addition to gluten free and vegetarian options. Handmade noodles so long and yummy along with the most tender braised beef. You can even have dessert dumplings and we could not leave without having Boba Tea and an ice cream sandwich Macroon. I guarantee this place will be one of your favorites if you live in Dallas!

Yelp
I was pleasantly surprised by hello dumpling. When I walked by I genuinely thought it would be one of those fusion restaurants but I was pleased to find out it was a chinese restaurant. The interior is very modern and fitting of the hill aesthetics. There is cute seating with awesome lighting (lots of windows). Service was also quick and nice. I thought the food was quite good. The dumplings had good flavor but were a bit small, and the noodles were well made. The texture of the noodles were very QQ and the sauces paired really well. Overall, a solid option for a pre-climb meal and I will definitely be back.

Dean M.

Yelp
Great dumplings and bao buns. Service was excellent and food came out quick. Highly recommend.

Kenya R.

Yelp
I got the Shanghai noodles and I wasn't pleased. I added grilled chicken. The chicken had good flavor, but it was dry. The noodles were bland and also a little on the dry side. I added sesame oil and sweet soy glaze when I got home and that greatly improved the taste. They were nice and the service was quick. This is my 2nd visit, so I'll go back one more time and try something else

Bernardo F.

Yelp
Everything was phenomenal. Braised beef noodle soup was to die for. Dumplings were fried to perfection. Definitely would recommend to anyone debating if they should come.

Josh P.

Yelp
So we came across this place through yelp. Getting can be a bit confusing but the place is located in the middle courtyard area. When you walk in to this place it feels nice welcoming. Very simple to order just walk up to counter. First thing we got is the chicken dumplings boiled they tasted so delicious. Then the next think is the pork soup dumplings these were just perfect reminded me of Hong Kong the next we had was the braised beef bao bun I have to say out of the three this was my favorite the smell just brought back memories and the taste was warm a flavorful this is the one that unlocked my memories of Hong Kong.I have to say I am glad we found this place so if you are in the area and have a craving for some authentic handmade dumplings come give them a try. We will definitely be back

Yelp
Came here for a late dinner looking for some dumplings and was severely disappointed I got an order of the Shanghai Noodles & The Pork and Napa Cabbage Dumplings. Both were lacking lots of flavor. The Shanghai Noodles felt very flavorless and even when adding some chili oil, the noodles itself were just plain. The dumplings were only a bit better, as i hoped being a dumpling place, but was still lacking some flavor. They were also not very crispy for being pan fried dumplings, and not very flavorful. Our table also had the Braised Beef Noodle Soup, Grilled Chicken Soup Noodle and Bao Buns, all which were nothing special. Service, ambiance, and decor is all nice and cozy, but the food itself, especially for the price, is nothing I would go back for.

Yelp
I stopped into Hello Dumpling for tea and lunch while I worked on my laptop. I knew I wanted dumplings but saw the noodle options and figured I could try those also. I ordered pan friend Chicken and Mushroom dumplings, Peking noodles with veggies and a Golden Milk Tea (with soy milk). The dumplings were DIVINE! Great flavor, perfectly crisped on the bottom while steamed at the top. The Peking noodles were a little underwhelming. The flavor wasn't as spicy as I expected but all the veggies were super fresh. I will definitely go back for more dumplings and tea. Customer service was great. The young ladies working were super attentive and very sweet.

Yelp
I was initially taken aback by the prices for pan fried and soup dumplings but maybe this is average for the Dallas area. $12 for 4 pan fried dumplings and $12 for 6 soup dumplings. this restaurant is clean and pleasantly decorated. staff are friendly and food is brought out quickly. The beef noodle soup was a bit too salty for my taste. I would've like to see them develop more of the flavors in the soup ( star anise & peppercorn) instead, it felt like the subbed out depth of flavor for heavy salting. The soup dumplings were ok tasting. They suffered the same critique as the beef noodle soup. less flavor and more salt seems to be the trend. The soup dumplings were inconsistent with the amount of soup/meat in each of them. It was enough to be noticeable. Overall, I found the food mediocre. the atmosphere and team were friendly but I doubt I will be back.

Yelp
Not a bad place for a quick lunch. It's a small location, and there's adequate seating, but not quite the cozy ambiance vibe for a dinner type restaurant. You order at the counter and they bring the food out to your table. I got the pork pan-seared dumplings ($9.50) and the Peking Noodle with Pork ($10.50). It's a decent amount of food, and I was definitely full by the end of lunch. Pricing seems reasonable for what I got. Flavor-wise, everything tasted good. The pork was seasoned well, the dumplings were crisp but still juicy on the inside, the noodles were light and the sliced carrot/cucumber/bean sprouts were refreshing. For a new location, service was also prompt and attentive. Overall, a pretty decent lunch spot, if not a little bit pricey.

Tammy M.

Yelp
After spending a long weekend at the hospital for the birth of my Niece I was ready for some soup - it was cold in there! The soup was flavorful, filling and exactly what I was looking for. The atmosphere is fast casual but cute and had a lot of options! Even though on this day I was eating everything I appreciated that they had a gluten free/rice dumpling. Both dumplings were great and the rice dumpling was just as flavorful as the standard style. I really enjoyed the sauce that accompanies the rice dumplings on everything. I recommend this restaurant but acknowledged its not in the easiest location to get to however definitely worth the walk and exploring the area a little.

Cat N.

Yelp
The noodles texture was the best. That's all I really liked. I had the braised beef noodle soup and just had better somewhere else. The broth wasn't flavorful enough. Beef was ok. I added spicy chili but it wasn't spicy at all. It fell flat for me and I just needed something, some umami in the broth. I will come back to try other dishes

Yvonne C.

Yelp
Came here for dinner tonight and it was delicious! It's hidden in this cute little plaza so you'll have to walk a little to find it. No service. You order at the front and pour your own water and grab your own utensils. We got the Xiao Long Bao, Braised Beef Soup Noodle, and Shanghai Noodles. All of it was so yummy. My favorite was definitely the xlb, but the beef in my noodle soup was so yummy! Definitely would come again. Ambiance is pretty nice, but the inside could've used a lot more AC in this blistering Dallas

Tae S.

Yelp
Not too far from the office and the service is always quick and with a smile. My go to dish is the Peking noodles with pork. The portion size is perfect for lunch. I do not over eat and feel like I just ate enough. My co worker usually gets the veggie dumplings and sesame noodles. Everyone once in a while I order the spinach with peanuts and it's nice and refreshing. The place and clean and has a decent amount of tables inside but the location is not huge. There is always a few tables outside if you want to enjoy some fresh air.

Lei T.

Yelp
We went here on a Saturday, we had previously got take out from their other location and enjoyed it. We got: Pork soup dumplings: this was their special but they need to put it in perfectly. I think it's better than fortune house, dragon house and tian tian. I think their chef is really talented, the wrapper was absolutely the perfect thinness, I don't like it when it is too thick and the wrapper tasted super fresh. The meat inside was very generous and great texture. The soup part of it was awesome as well. They are really delicate so handle with care! Pork rice dumplings: I really enjoy the rice that is coated outside, I enjoy the texture although it's not for everyone. The meatball texture inside was correct as well. Overall ambiance wise this place is good for a low key lunch, a weekday dinner. I actually think conceptually this place needs to focus on their chili wontons (got it as a special last time) and soup dumplings. Their dumplings are good but not as good as my favorite dumpling place Mr. Dumpling. I think the reason Mr dumpling is great bc it always hits on the umami salt ratio. We got the dumplings last time during take out and it was just adequate. But then the other menu items hit it out of the park. It has so much potential because the chef is definitely legit. Also shout out for them for doing the classic Beijing cold dishes. The pairing of acidity based vegetables with meat is awesome and balanced. And the price was very reasonable. (4$)

Yelp
The Hello Dumpling team continues to deliver year after year. The dumplings are excellent, noodles are devine, and super we're fans of the Taiwanese chicken bites, the cukes, the spinach and peanuts, the ribs, and even the boba teas. We love Hello Dumpling!

Crystal L.

Yelp
Very clean and modern take on Chinese and Taiwanese cuisine. Food is on the low sodium side and some friends who are used to salty and spicy Szechuan and Hunan food might feel the noodles are under-seasoned. But I appreciate their pork sauce noodles flavor profile because it tastes like my mom's home cooking noodles. Cucumber salad and basil chicken are great appetizers. I took one star off because the soup dumplings didn't come with ginger and vinegar and their tea flavor is too light.

Ying L.

Yelp
Had an assortment of dumplings, baos, and the beef noodle soup. Service was quick and friendly. Restaurant bright and cheerful. My son loved the fish dumplings, but my favorite was the fried pork dumplings. The baos were good also, but the beef rice dumpling was just ok. I liked the sticky rice on the beef rice dumplings, but thought the beef could have had more flavor. The beef noodle soup was really good as well. Nice flavor with thick chunks of beef. Noodles were chewy and cooked perfectly. This place scratched my Taiwan food itch.

Ronda Y.

Yelp
To begin, the service was great. Super sweet staff and the food came out in around five minutes but I was there when it wasn't busy. I loved how clean it was and the menu wasn't overwhelming but there was plenty amount of good options. The food was delicious I got the steamed pork dumplings and basil chicken bites which was the bomb.com!! Highly recommend if you want a quick bite!!

Diana K.

Yelp
Many takeout and dine-in orders later, still impressed with the consistent quality of their food and cleanliness. Even though it's counter service, their customer service is also still very good. Great place to grab a bite to eat if you want to eat alone!

Una A.

Yelp
Hubby and I went to Dallas for the Slipknot concert. Stopped by this strip mall to charge our Tesla. Wandered around looking for some lunch and stumbled upon this cute spot! The restaurant was very clean and, since I'm always in the mood for dumplings, was an easy decision to make. They have about 5 different dumplings and another 5 different rice dumplings. There's an assortment of noodles, soups and entrees you can choose from. And, to top it all off, they have Milk Teas! The dumplings tasted fresh and they were hot! Savory and delicious. We tried the chicken, beef and shrimp. We also shared a bowl of sesame noodles, which were flavorful. To top it all off, we split a Taro milk tea for dessert. Also did not disappoint. The boba was well cooked. Not hard or too chewy. Just melts in your mouth. Service was exceptional and everything was decently priced. Overall, this cute spot serves a big and flavorful punch.

Ben B.

Yelp
Two stars cause the staff were friendly and helpful but the food was so disappointing. First, the Peking pork noodles had next to no flavor and the chilis they added gave it no spice. Second the Thai milk tea was lukewarm and hardly sweet. Third the pork bao were dry inside and next to no flavor. Had been wanting to try this place for months and I'm very disappointed I did. Much better places in town. Will be surprised if this place makes it.

Azsure D.

Yelp
A must eat! Great location, super cute interior very mod and fresh. Friendly staff, inviting atmosphere. Well laid out easy to select menu. Best part- the food is amazing! We ordered so much food! The fish pan fried dumplings were our fave of the meal! Also chicken rice dumplings, the savory pancakes - just order them! We had tofu skewers (the most bland item on the table but great for the plant based eaters), the peking noodles (these bring some heat with crushed red pepper) and the chicken soup. All four of us agreed the food is worth 5 stars and can't wait to come back!

Richard S.

Yelp
While hidden in the courtyard, it's worth finding. While my girlfriend loved the dumplings, I found another treasure - the noodles! I tried the Sesame Noodles on a whim and will return for the Peking Noodle with Pork. I like to eat asian food with a beer from the same area. Unfortunately, the restaurant doesn't provide adult beverages. However, they have no problem with customers bringing in their own. A nice touch happened when the owner came to our table to ask about our experience. She gave us a short history about how the recipes are her family's and told us how they make their own noodles. I am impressed.

Rene M.

Yelp
I luv Hello Dumpling! The food is delicious!!! They have many new additions- bao buns, scallion pancakes, etc. Still make the best braised beef noodle soup. The sides like cucumber salad , chopped greens( great dressing) and zucchini are all stellar. I could go on and on, but you just need to go and give it a try. It's all wonderful! Great hospitality, also.

bend my m.

Yelp
Really 3.5 stars... It's got potential. Good bao (larger round dumplings) but just meh regular dumplings so far (& too few for the money-- add one more guys)-- though I admittedly haven't tried many varieties yet. Regular boba tea just tasted like the same unimpressive powder that many low-end bubble tea places serve (my #1 for freshness of brewed teas & flavor-choices being Kung Fu Tea, w/ a shoutout to Yely also). Very plain atmosphere here that needs a little something extra too to make it feel a bit more warm & inviting/cozy... but I'll try more offerings & update later. You can definitely get your dumpling craving handled here..

Vicky K.

Yelp
Really cute place with a lot of vegetarian options! The cucumbers came out quickly and were refreshing and the noodles were very flavorful but not very spicy. Dumplings were interesting, personally I would probably order the normal dumplings next time but had to try the rice dumplings at least once (no regrets though!)

Chloe D.

Yelp
the food is good but not enough to come back! beef dumplings a bit flavorless, the noddles were my favorite. and they do have some great chili oil!

Alli L.

Yelp
Food was pretty good. Ordered chicken and mushroom boiled dumplings, braised beef soup noodle, pickled smashed cucumber. Wouldn't mind ordering all 3 items again next time. Only small complaint is that the beef noodle soup does not come out piping out. It's just warm but still tasted good nonetheless. Oh and we got there right after 6pm and it was pretty slow for Friday; food came out quickly, like 5 min?

Helen M.

Yelp
The food was amazing. I got steamed dumplings and they were incredible. My husband got chicken fried rice and he loved every bite. The staff were friendly and the atmosphere was peaceful and quiet

Meredith K.

Yelp
Love the food here! Soup dumplings were amazing- best I have had in Dallas! Everything is delicious, casual, comfort food and they have gluten free options. The owner is very sweet.

Htikhu O.

Yelp
This place is a hidden gem that I wish I'd found earlier! Every plate we ordered was delicious: pork dumplings, sesame noodles, pickled cucumbers, and banana dumplings with chocolate sauce. The drinks were wonderful as well: jasmine tea and golden milk tea. The owners were friendly and so sweet to our toddler. We sat outside at a picnic table, which was lovely on this fall evening. We can't wait to go back here!

Bronte S.

Yelp
Found this cute little spot when I was having a bad day and was looking to turn my day around. I love the location! There's so many cute spots to walk around and explore. I had the pork soup dumplings (A+) sooo yummy, chicken soup, broth was amazing, and beef pan seared dumplings. All delicious and will definitely be back! The staff was super nice and helpful while ordering. Overall had a great time and will definitely be back!

Jordan H.

Yelp
Randomly stopped by, got the Vegetarian Noodle Soup, the tofu skewers, scallion pancake and vegetarian bao buns, everything tasted so homemade and full of love! the service was so kind and they continued to check up on us. amazing quality food

Morgan P.

Yelp
If it's your first time here, park where Snooze is and walk around the back because Hello Dumpling is not visible from the street. Other than that the dumplings were pretty good! My favorite was the fish and green onion pan fried dumplings. Make sure to get chili oil to dip them in. The service was pretty quick and efficient. The young lady at the register knows the menu very well and will give you solid descriptions of the food. Inside is very nice and light as well as clean.

Lalitas R.

Yelp
We saw this place on TikTok. Love the area, great for a weekend visit. We tried pan fried pork dumplings, scallion pancakes, braised beef noodle soup, Peking noodle with pork, and red bean milk tea. Noodle dish had generous serving of noodles. Everything was good and you will leave feeling satisfied but wouldn't say it's the best place for dumplings and noodles. But good place to try some food if visiting this outdoor space.

Christopher F.

Yelp
The soup dumplings and beef skewers are great. Highly recommended for a quick, tasty meal

John D.

Yelp
I love their soup. Prices are reasonable for this part of Dallas. Always clean. Never have to wait long. Helpful employees. Multiple other items we have had are also very good, but my favorite is their braised beef noodle soup with noodles. Ask for extra of their special chili sauce on the side, makes it even better.

Camille P.

Yelp
The only reason I'm giving a 4/5 star review is because I'm writing this review after my 1st visit to Hello Dumpling, but after I return I'm sure I will upgrade my review to 5/5 stars. I ordered pan fried Beef w/carrots and onion dumplings, pan fried Chicken w/mushroom dumplings and Peking noodles w/pork. Absolutely delicious! There are so many options, including vegetarian options, on the menu. I plan to return to Hello Dumpling to try a couple of the Bao options and the scallion pancake. There are no soft drinks on the menu, which is ok with me. I ordered a lemonade. Tasty! There is ice water at the counter. Highly recommend Hello Dumpling!

Christi W.

Yelp
We had the chicken and beef dumplings and they were delicious! We also really liked the Sesame noodles. The staff was very friendly and helpful - they provided great service and good recommendations. The restaurant is bright and clean - a great fast casual option. We'll be back!

Nichole P.

Yelp
The food was deplorable. Ordered a fresh veg soup. Broth no flavor at all. It tasted like water with maybe 2 tears cried into it. I wish they put MSG on the condiment bar because no flavor at all! The beef dish with veg was equally as bad. I went years ago a few months after they opened and it was not good then. Second shot was a bad move. Never again. Tried to call to express disappointment to manager it was a week night at 7:30 and was on hold. I was refunded thankfully.

Juanita S.

Yelp
The best dumplings I have ever had, especially the pork soup dumplings. Service was great too!
