I tried HelloFresh for four weeks. There were supposed to be four deliveries in total. One per week. The idea of HelloFresh is great, and would have taken the burden of shopping and creating recipes off of our plate (no pun intended). It was also supposed to be a gift to my wife in order to make her life easier.
Of the two boxes that actually did arrive, only one of them had the proper instructions. Of the two boxes that did not arrive, one was delivered to the wrong address (they actually took a picture of the wrong house and sent it to me), and the other one just never came. When I called customer service I was placed on hold for over an hour until someone answered, again wasting more of my time. When somebody finally answered, they were able to refund my boxes, but not the time I had to spend scrambling to fill in the holes that HelloFresh was supposed to fill for me.
At the end of the day, I paid for a service that I did not receive and all I received was frustration 50% of the time. Save yourself the trouble and do not order this service. While the food was decent and appropriately priced, Hello Fresh did not live up to their side of the bargain.
