We are a big fans of hello Jasmine in LINCOLN SQUARE! We typically do not eat here on weekdays so so it was a treat to come into the center of the SQUARE for lunch. Lunchtime has very little weight and the food comes out very quickly within 10 to 15 minutes., so you’ll be on your way on no time. Highly recommend the cold noodles with sesame sauce and chicken.

Love the fresh garlic popcorn chicken best! This is AMAZING lovely spot, clean, decent and convenient. Great Boba tea on the north side of Chicago!

This is hands down my favorite location out of the two, even though I like the other one as well. For some reason, the food here just tastes better—maybe it’s the freshness or the way it’s prepared. I highly recommend the garlic popcorn chicken and the tofu bento boxes. The chicken has the perfect amount of garlic—flavorful without being too strong—and the tofu is incredibly tasty and full of rich, savory depth. We loved the garlic chicken so much, we ended up ordering more to go. A funny moment: when we walked into the beauty shop across the street, the staff immediately asked what we were eating because it smelled so good! Also, don’t skip the milk tea. The cold milk boba tea was especially refreshing on a hot day—cool, creamy, and perfectly balanced. P.S. The bathroom is always spotless, and they bring the food right to your table, which I really appreciate!

Hello Jasmine is a great place for a meal and/or a sweet treat. There is plenty of seating inside and a wide variety of menu items. You can order at a kiosk or at the register. We ordered a brown sugar milk tea with tapioca pearls, a pinky guava smoothie, and fries. Everything was great and the prices were very fair. Definitely recommend!

Google
I love hello jasmine (I maybe biased as a Taiwanese person...). Their taiwanese street food like popcorn chicken is great. I love you can customize sugar level in bubble tea or get it hot. Music on point too. My wish list is if they have even more Taiwanese snacks like 甜不辣 or even fantuan 飯糰 (though I understand they have a small kitchen and maybe limited in their possible offerings).

This is my happy place when I want to read a book, work remotely, or just relax. Boba is always fresh, delicious, and as an Asian customer I fully approve of the taste. Staff is always so nice! PLUS MOST IMPORTANTLY their restrooms offer toilet seat covers—a luxury in Chicago. You can gulp down large amount of liquids with dignity, knowing you’ll be clean when you need to release them out of your body. These little things say a lot! Their orchids look healthy and happy, so you know they put a lot of care into the store. I love sitting here on a sunny afternoon and daydream behind those oversized windows. The food menu is recently expanded and I’m curious to try next.

Great value food! I recommend the braised pork bento it has tofu and egg and veggies together. The milk tea is just so so. Popcorn chicken is big portion for this price, but I prefer Taipei cafe better.

Google
Delicious Taiwanese Street food & Boba tea! The coffee Boba milk tea is my go to drink! Tried the pork dumplings, got them spicy, they were perfectly crispy on the outside and soft and tender on the inside. The Korean spicy sauce 🔥🔥 Very much enjoyed the grilled Taiwanese sausages! 🤤

Yelp
Nice place. A great grown up of chicken nuggets. I will go back to try their chicken sandwich.

Yelp
Had the marinated pork bento box: I like the pork. Very strong flavor. Not much the rest of the bento box: sour cabbage is too sour. Tofu and egg's too dry. Popcorn chicken is pretty good. Not too salty. Crispy and not too much dough on the outside Drinks are pretty disappointing. Taro one is ok, not too sweet. But the brown sugar one is such a disappointment. Not much flavor and the boba pearl is like not cooked enough and sit there for a week Fried dumplings are also mediocre. Nothing special and worth mentioning

Yelp
Deciding to walk to this small boba shop in the square for lunch, I entered and found myself at a self-ordering machine. After placing my order, I waited about 15 minutes for my food to be prepared. The spicy chicken steak bento I ordered arrived, it was delicious. The flavors were well-balanced, and I enjoyed every bite. However, I wished there was some mustard green on top of the rice, a staple in Houston that I usually get with my meals. Instead, there were some pickled veggies on the side. The dumplings were good on their own, but I didn't particularly like the dipping sauce. Overall, it was a satisfying lunch, and I would definitely return to this shop in the future.

Yelp
Tried this establishment for a sponsored Yelp event to try their drinks and popcorn chicken. I also decided to get additional items to try. This review is on the spicy chicken nuggets. Surprisingly you can get them in different spices. I decided to get medium spice. My chicken nuggets were very crispy and the seasoning was good. I was disappointed that there was no true sauce to dip my nuggets with. I was pointed to ketchup, hot sauce and soy sauce packets. No bueno, Americans love sauce!!!! Anyway, lucky for me I had just visited Aldi and had a fresh of bbq sauce in my SUV. lol any hoo Overall, I really like my nuggets. I would order these again. Will try the location closer to me when I need some yummy nuggets. Will also bring my own sauce.

Yelp
The Hello Jasmine Lincoln Square is my usually local go to for boba/ bubble tea. When I occasionally have more time , I try to stop in for food. I have tried their bento boxes in the past which are wonderful. This time I tried one of their current specials a BOGO hot Cheetos crusted cheesy corn dog. I admittedly didn't know what I was getting myself on and was delighted on the taste. It even came with gloves so I didn't get my hands dirty . I love the service here, but it took over 25 minutes for the order to get done which was surprising given their past track record.

Yelp
First time ordering food and maybe my eighth time ordering Boba from Hello Jasmine. Food: -Sweet Plum Cheese Pull: Absolutely delicious and a large amount of cheese. We split this between two but it's so big you could easily split with three people. The plum taste was awesome. -Chicken steak rice bento: We will be ordering this again for sure. Everything in this bento mixes well with each other and has great taste. Boba: -Considering we've ordered it so many times it is good boba. I wish the cheese foam was made saltier, it tastes a bit bland to me. The tea is usually very good but it is never consistent with how it tastes despite ordering it the same way. Either way, great to have in the neighborhood.

Yelp
This place's menu looked interesting, but unfortunately what I ordered turned out to be one of the worst teas I've ever had. It was the 'Pinky Guava Milk Tea with Aiyu' and purported to be jasmine green milk tea with guava jam. What it tasted like - to the note - was Nesquik strawberry milk. Complete with fake strawberry flavor. No guava in evidence (and that's a distinctive flavor I'm very familiar with). No tea flavor in evidence either. Also, it was super sweet despite me ordering it with 0% sugar. On top of that, the machine I was ordering from prompted me to tip - twice. Who am I tipping? Are we tipping machines now?

Yelp
I've always wanted to try hello jasmine popcorn chicken because I've heard such amazing reviews from friends who have tried it. First of all, the food was delicious. It was perfect for a light share lunch with a friend. Please try the garlic popcorn chicken, you will not be disappointed. I personally think it taste good with ranch on the side but the Korean sauce is also really good. The drink was perfect for us. The peach lychee tea has 30% sweetness and it was perfect amount of sweet for me while my friend had 50% sweet. Both drinks were so good and refreshing. Definitely try them out if you like fruit teas. Lastly, the interior design inside is really cute and cozy. It's a great place to come when you need to get some work done, school stuff, self date, or just chill with friends. The workers will bring out the food to you which I thought was great.

Yelp
We ordered a bunch of plates to try: popcorn chicken, orange chicken, fried chicken, tofu, spring onion cheese pull, plum cheese pull. The chicken was crispy and juicy, the orange chicken sweet and a little like Panda. We really enjoyed the cheese pulls, onion and plum. It was exactly as advertised-- it was cheesy and stretchy. These probably would have been best in restaurant, although the chicken did stay very crispy. I regret that I did not order a bubble tea -- will do so the next time I'm in the neighborhood. Overall, we enjoyed our samplings and next time will be sure to ask for sauce as well as some beverages.

Yelp
Went for boba tea. Great selection. Efficient kiosk ordering. Quick service. Clean place. Convenient on a weeknight. Easily found parking on the street. Weekends are high traffic, so parking availability is limited.

Yelp
First time here about a month ago to try the Taro Cloud. But have been coming back since. The service is always great no matter who the staff is and I am glad to know that I could bring my own container. There are 2 kiosk where you can order with a credit card or you can go directly to the counter for cash transaction. They also offer food that look attractive on the picture. I have yet to try. Recently I got a Taro Cloud with pudding. The custard pudding was a bit watered down, hopefully it will be better next time.

Yelp
Hello Jasmine is one of the better bubble tea places in the city but this is probably my least favorite location. I think that it's the biggest and the nicest but the food and drinks are not as good as their other locations. I ordered the pink guava tea and it was way too sweet I was so disappointed. I also got their pork rice bento box and the rice was cooked so poorly where everything was clumped together :( Maybe they were having an off day this week but it was very disappointing. Aside from that it's a beautiful space and the service is decent. You basically order at a kiosk and then they bring the order out to you! Ample seating and parking is never too difficult in the neighborhood!

Yelp
I've been to the other locations over the past few years. I was so excited to have a location closer to me. My favorite location is still Lincoln park. This location doesn't have the same full menu. I usually order the pork chop bento but it wasn't available so I got fried chicken bento. The sides were not the same as the other locations. I've never had egg with corn as a side dish. The bok choy was way over cooked. Overall, the bento was a little lacking. Usually there's more sauce over the rice. My husband's pork belly over rice was a little salty for his liking.

Yelp
What a cute establishment in Lincoln Square! The ambiance is welcoming and chill, and the staff is friendly and courteous. I appreciated their food and drink recommendations. The popcorn chicken was crisp, hot, and so savory. And the drinks were delicious and refreshing. We loved the strawberry lychee fruit tea and the strawberry and peach mango smoothies. We will definitely return!

Yelp
Congratulations on Hello Jasmine opening a new branch here in Lincoln Square! Right now is their soft opening, but the beginning of august they have a BOGO free milk tea deal! It's a really nice small shop with big pictures of their drinks on the front windows. There are two kiosks to order from but you can also order from the front counter. Ordered the Assam milk tea with boba, and the boba was a great texture and the tea tasted good as well. I did see one of the employees behind the counter pick an ice cube out of one of the drinks he was making with his bare hands... and then eat something... hmm... But the drink I had was great! Looking forward to the boba revolution upon us.

Yelp
I recently moved into the area and I'm so glad this place is nearby! I frequently come here with my friends when we want something quick or a place to hang out and have never been disappointed. My personal favorites are the strawberry coconut delight and the peach lychee iced tea. I'm normally not a milk tea fan because a lot of places make it overly sweet, but this place has one of the best brown sugar milk tea boba in Chicago. The food is also amazing! I would definitely recommend the popcorn chicken and the bento boxes. The workers always greet us when we enter and the people who serve when we dine-in are nice too. Definitely will bring more friends and family!

Yelp
I'm glad they opened one closer to me! The staff is welcoming and friendly. It's a nice little set up. I ordered at the kiosk. I ordered the jasmine green milk tea. I like how you can choose sweetness level and ice level. It was good and the boba was soft and had a nice chew. I'll come back and try their food!

Yelp
Grabbed an order to go since a warm March day. The order was easy to place but it took a while as they had several orders before ours that mistakes were made on. We tried the orange chicken and beef dumplings. The orange chicken was delicious and would have that again. The dumplings were good as well. Interested to try other items on their menu

Yelp
My wife is Taiwanese, I just came from Taiwan a few weeks ago, and [less importantly] I am Korean, and I can say that the boba and Taiwanese street food here is very solid. Taiwanese popcorn chicken and boba tea is a classic Taiwanese mix and they are great together. The boba has a nice tea flavor and great options. The boba pearls are great flavor and texture. The popcorn chicken is perfect and a great deal on top of that. The interior is cute and clean. The area is great, and there's a small plaza nearby and this stretch of Lincoln Ave is great for walking and sipping. I live nearby and my wife and I are so glad this place opened up! We will be coming often.

Yelp
I finally made my way to their 3rd location in Lincoln Square today! I'm so happy it's here, where I used to live. So when I visit the area, I now have access to my favorite bubble tea and Taiwanese street foods. The decor is really modern and classic. I was easily able to order at the kiosk shortly after I entered, and the platform was really straight forward and easy to use. Shortly after ordering, my food was ready and they called my name. Everything here is freshly made to order. I was craving popcorn chicken, and this location is up to par with all the others I've been to (Chinatown and Lincoln Park). I'm sad I didn't get a bubble tea today, and it's because I'm going to Chinatown tomorrow and figured I'd get it then. They also had a K-Pop pop up today, and it was nice to see the little booth and a special themed drink for it. There's also plenty of chairs and tables for those who opt to dine in. It's also conveniently right off of the Western brown line, and I'd definitely come back to this location when I'm in the area next. I'd recommend this place to anyone in the area looking for bubble tea and Taiwanese specialty street food.

Yelp
I always stop by this spot when I'm getting off of work and am craving both a sweet and a savory treat. I love the popcorn chicken and the brown sugar boba. The staff is kind and often I forget to listen for my name but they'll bring me my order instead of me having to pick it up from the counter. The ambiance is slightly chatty but definitely lively; good for a solo date or a great place to catch up with a friend.

Yelp
Truly appreciate the business owner's quick response addressing the concerns! A bit addition to the lid issue. What I ordered were milk tea with bubbles at the bottom, as shown in the picture I posted. Without using the straw, I would "sip the cheese foam" first like you suggested, and then have the bubble at the very end? Hmm not sure if that's the best way to enjoy a cup of bubble tea. ----------- Sharing a friendly tip, BOGO milk tea and latte deal had to be exactly the same during the opening. I didn't have chance to try the tofu bento at the time of posting the first review. I had the bento for dinner later that day when I got home. It's beautifully presented with fried tofu cubes, pickled cabbage, fresh tomato slice and tamago style egg, and white rice. Yummy and various textures of those items too. The only thing missing of the whole dish was salt. If you want to try this dish, I suggest you to ask for some soy sauce just in case.

Yelp
Receptive staff. They'll work with you to clarify notes you made on the orders to ensure it's exactly how you want it. The fruit tea and the smoothies are a must. You can't go wrong with either the strawberry or peach lychee jelly options. The same could be said for the mango smoothies. The boba has the right amount of chew as well
google avatar

Helen H.

Yelp
New boba place in Lincoln Square! It has a clean interior. You order on a touchscreen machine and wait for your name to be called. The employee was kind enough to let me know that my grapefruit lychee boba tea would take an extra 5 min because the green tea base they use was watered down. They offered me the option of changing my order if I did not want to wait. My drink was delicious and I could taste the green tea!
google avatar

Tina T.

Yelp
I tried the fresh garlic popcorn chicken and I'm pretty sure it's garlic from the jar. That was not tasty at all. I went back to look at your photo and it is not the same as what you are advertising. Why would you put fresh garlic if it wasn't? The Chinatown location serves it differently. Also there was no basil in there at all. Braised pork bento was tasty.
google avatar

Tony L.

Yelp
Great Taiwanese food addition to Lincoln Square! My kids are picky eaters, and they could eat the popcorn chicken for every meal if they could. Yummy drinks too with plentiful chewy boba and lychee jelly. Bento box is a good meal with the protein over rice, bok choy, pickled cabbage, Taiwanese sausage, tofu, and a corn/egg side. Highly recommended!
google avatar

Heather P.

Yelp
Disappointing experience. I know they just opened, but it's 1000% degrees in there. They only had two employees working. The signage advertising the opening promo just said BOGO, but did not mention any other stipulations so guess what happened after waiting 20 minutes in line. Okay, fine I'll pay double what I was expecting because of a lack of communication, but then I paid extra for boba and there isn't any. I did attempt to walk back in to mention it, but was told to get back in line. No thanks. There's another boba place two doors down.

Yelp
Went in on a Saturday after hearing it opened earlier in the week and was excited to have a bubble tea spot in LS. Sadly my experience left be a bit disappointed. Obviously I went opening weekend so the place was going to be busy/still fixing issues but overall I was still burned by my overall experience. Good things: Self order kiosks Nice ambiance and menu variety Bad things: It was really warm in there which made my 10 minute wait for one drink feel like I was in a sauna. After getting my drink and drinking it outside I noticed I was given the completely wrong drink (ordered a brown sugar boba and got a strawberry drink) despite my name being on the label. So yeah, I'll give it a shot down the road once things have settled down, but even then I wasn't overly impressed with the strawberry milk tea that I was accidentally given.

Yelp
Kid approved boba-tea spot new to the Lincoln Square neighborhood. Easy and friendly service. The street food menu is above average and comes out fairly quickly. Vibe is clean, and a bit quiet as opposed to the bustle of a sandwich place the couple times I've been there.

Wen-Yi K.

Yelp
Finally, been waiting for this to open for a few months, went to the grand opening and had some of the BEST taiwanese popcorn chicken!!! The boba was just right!!! Looking forward to try more of their menu items and different drinks!!! The staff were friendly and helpful, plus the bathroom is lovely! Super excited for their location on the north side of the city!!!

Charmaine S.

Yelp
We were ecstatic when we found out that a Hello Jasmine was opening in our neighborhood because they really are the most authentic and the best milk tea in Chicago. You can't go wrong with Taiwanese street food + boba combo- brings us back to the night markets of Taipei! My only gripe would be that they removed chicken steak (an absolute classic) from their menu at this location! Hope to see more flavors of milk tea become available like Black sesame and the Chocolate Boba Shake (you can get these at the Chinatown location).

Kwan C.

Yelp
Great food, friendly staff, and really cute decor! The popcorn chicken is fire and the brown sugar boba was rly good.

Roger B.

Yelp
Great new spot for snacks or boba tea. A little pricey but great selection & friendly service.
