Hello You’re Welcome is such a lovely find for specialty coffee lovers. There is a huge variety of drip, pour over, and espresso drinks that change daily, and the roasters they bring in are top notch. I particularly enjoyed the watermelon co-ferment on the origami dripper. Gigi and her team are thoughtful and deliberate with their coffee offerings, while still leaving space for the eccentric and experimental. When Special Agent Dale Cooper said, “a damn fine cup of coffee” he was undoubtedly speaking about Hello You’re Welcome!

If you’re in the area (or even if you’re not) show this local small business some love. They deserve all the hype! The donuts are delicious as well as the coffee and matcha, but the real winner for me today was the mortadella sandwich! Filled with pickled onion, salami and the usual Italian goodies - it hands down was one of the best sandwiches I’ve had in my life. No joke, I scarfed it down. And the space itself is so charming. It’s kind of day dreamy. Antique plates, mismatched silverware and a vintage hutch lined with family photos help create a vibe, and it’s one I really like. I wish I lived here so I could be a regular. Pasadena is lucky to have this place!

There’s plenty of other reviews talking about the food and the pastries, which are great. But this cafe also takes their coffee VERY seriously. Tons of options for stuff on pour over, and a very knowledgeable staff behind the counter. Some of the best coffee I’ve had in the LA area.

The best café in LA, easily. A small-town coffee shop in a sprawling metropolis -- an oasis. Incredible vibe. Beautiful decor but not trying too hard. Staff that welcomes you in and actually makes you feel like welcome (unlike 90% of coffee shops in LA who treat you like you're an inconvenience for existing) and like they want you to be in there. Friendly and helpful and all-around pleasant people. Amazing, unique baked goods made from high-quality ingredients. The donuts are phenomenal and their savory baked goods like fritattas and egg biscuits are out of this world, and you can't get anything really comparable anywhere else in the city, or in many places in America, really. It's nice to have a donut that doesn't make you feel awful after. They offer a bunch of gluten-free and keto options. Like this place really does leave no stone unturned when it comes to high-quality baked goods that actually give you something more than a quick sugar buzz. Can't say enough good things about this place! A must-stop for locals and tourists alike.

Very kind staff ! Got an espresso chocolate donut and a bacon breakfast muffin. Great drip coffee and excellent food. Would definitely come back here.

I have been a guinea pig of all things g-free for the last 15 years, so I can state confidently that the donuts I had yesterday are some of the most delicious, and tasty G-free treats I’ve had. The cherry on top was the amazing service. I didn’t catch the guys named that helped, but he was so pleasant, attentive and just seemed genuinely happy to serve, and that means a lot to me. Keep up the amazing work HYW! You’re my families new go-to spot!!! 🍩🍩🍩

This place serves seriously good espresso coffee. It also has more than cakes and donuts. I had a delicious vegan veggie sandwich which was packed with fillings. My companion had a breakfast muffin made with almond flour. We were too full to sample any of the yummy looking cakes and donuts, many of which are gluten free. There’s indoor seating but not a lot of it in the airy space that mixes industrial chic with homely accents. The staff are friendly and helpful.

Finally had the opportunity to come here and I was definitely pleased with everything. The pastries and coffee drink were delicious. But most of all the team behind the counter have a friendly and genuine vibe. Never felt rushed or pushed to hurry. Even the guest in line were kind. You can feel the love and authenticity once you walk in. I love supporting family owned small businesses. Can't wait to try everything else on the menu.

Delicious donuts, drinks, and breakfast sandwiches. The staff is kind as well & the ambiance is so chic yet homey! I love the wallpaper and chair assortment. My faves are the breakfast sandwich, lemon poppyseed donut, and the coconut passionfruit donut. The coffee is flavorful and they have non dairy milk options. I also love supporting this business because it is Jewish woman and family owned operated.

Walked in around 10:45am yesterday after my eye apt down the street and decided to give it a try. They had a wonderful array of different pastries, both sweet and savory. Not pictured is the breakfast biscuit that they warmed up for me. I liked the crunch it had but it was a little too dense for me. The donut was a maple pecan donut and it was also a little too dense for my liking, I liked fluffy airy donuts. The strawberry matcha was good!

Their gluten-free donuts are fun! I think their flavors are seasonal. I tried the rose and strawberry. I preferred the rose because it had a more muted taste while the strawberry was too tart. Despite being gluten free, the donuts are still pretty chewy like regular donuts, but they're a lot denser inside. If I could describe the texture it's almost like a chewier pound cake. The frosting on top is not too sweet. The matcha lattes are just okay, mainly when it comes down to flavor. The nice thing is that you can ask for oat milk at no extra cost. Unfortunately, it doesn't go down super smooth compared to other matcha lattes I've had.

Hello you're welcome, more like goodbye no thank you. Came to get some coffee and got the ganache mocha with oat milk and this is the first time in a long time I got a coffee that tasted so bad I almost don't want to force it. You'd think with either ganache or mocha you'd taste some amount of sweet or chocolate/mocha flavor but all I could taste was bitter and sour. On top of that I was waiting a good 20+ minutes and there wasn't anyone ahead of me, the people that did order picked stuff from the premade donuts and things in display and headed out. The cherry on top was that it was very overpriced, more than you'd pay at most other places. I wish the old donut shop was still here, it was much better.

Exciting women owned business serving vegan and gluten free desserts for all to enjoy. Gave out brownie samples, fudgey and delicious! + Pumpkin Apple Cider donut ($6): fun fall flavor but didn't taste like pumpkin or apple cider, and was bit dense. Had a subtle spiced flavor (6/10) + Coconut cortado ($6): super kind and upsized this to a latte for me. The coconut milk worked well, sweet (7.5/10)

Food I was in town for a work conference and chanced upon this quaint little cafe. Was on the hunt for coffee and something sweet, so i got a brownie and an iced americano. The brownie was huge and really satisfied my craving and i loved the chocolate flavor in it and it wasn't overly sweet. The texture was nice and moist and soft. The americano i got was a light roast and the taste was really good and not overly acidic like other coffees I've had. Serive/Ambiance Once you enter, the whole vibe is just pink and nice to look at and you get that nice display of all the pastry items they offer. The staff was nice as I was ordering and until I got my order and overall a nice experience spending a few mins just chilling in this cafe.

HYW is a niche gluten-free, vegan/vegetarian donut and pastry cafe in Pasadena, located on the NE corner of Los Robles and Colorado. Street parking only, but there's usually a spot open. The shop has been in Pasadena for a few years now, if memory serves. I visited when they first opened and recall having a good impression. I think I stopped going because they didn't have much seating. Now, the shop has really made it much more inviting to sit and work. The inside is beautifully designed with artful touches, and has a pleasing carnation, pink, and yellow color scheme. It makes the place feel energizing but still grounded. The staff are friendly and helpful. They offer a good selection of breakfast items, baked goods, and donuts. The donut flavors are amazing. I forgot to take a picture of my order, but each donut tasted distinct and for the description. The matcha strawberry and the maple espresso donuts were my favorite out of my order. You can order a coffee or tea to go with your yummy pastries. TL/DR: a great spot for breakfast, donuts, and coffee/tea with amazing gluten-free, vegan, vegetarian options.

I love swinging by after work for some fresh, gluten free donuts. The flavors are awesome and they even list all the nutritional info. I'm obsessed with their Magic Matcha, it's insanely good, probably because it's made with so much love by the sweetest team. This spot's a total vibe and perfect for a quick photo op!

My boyfriend and I had the pleasure of watching HYW be built and open, then finally made our way in! This chic and cozy coffee shop is a must, especially if you're looking to pair your coffee with a delicious homemade donut. I opted for a less-sweet coffee (honey latte) to pair with my tasty lemon poppyseed donut! They balanced each other out wonderfully. My boyfriend explored the matcha americano with a splash of oat milk with his maple pecan donut. The donuts were a moist and cakey consistency. We look forward to trying more flavors!

The inside of the coffee shop is very aesthetic and welcoming. The workers here are very energetic and lively. However, there are no prices shown on the pastries. The bacon and egg biscuit was $6.00 which was not too bad. The biscuit was quite delicious but there was not enough of bacon flavor in my option. The iced matcha latte was exquisite. Do not pass on this drink. I was feeling a bit adventurous and I decided to try out the passionfruit yuzu tonic with matcha. Both the matcha and the yuzu flavors were there, but the passionfruit was missing. It was not worth $8.00. So I would pass on this drink. Overall, this coffee shop is cute and offers delicious breakfast items that are not badly priced.

The most beautiful donuts and they are gluten free! I understand that they have an amazing breakfast sandwich also. Will definitely be back to try it.

Very cute and clean cafe w/ a good variety of gluten free donut to choose from. I got the rose donut, it was pretty good, but a little too sweet for me. I think it was the icing that's sweet, the donut itself is not. I also got the smoked matcha latte for $8.50 which is very pricey for a drink that taste like a regular matcha latte. It had no spice/smoke flavor at all, it didn't even have that deep matcha flavor. Would not get it again, but I might go back for their donuts.

Gluten free artisan donuts and cute interior, recommended for donut lovers. We ordered Marshmallows and black sesame, and coconut and passion fruit flavors, both are very rich in flavors.

First day working in the area so I tried to find a donut shop near work and came across this one. I saw pics of really cool looking donuts on Yelp, but when I went here, I didn't find any of those special looking donuts. The shop is very cute and very pink on the inside. Guy at the counter was nice. The donuts here looked like they're cake donuts (kinda small too)... I didn't see any raised donuts. I ordered 2 donuts (1 strawberry and 1 pumpkin). Both were pretty good. The quality of the cake donut is like none other I've had before. It was like a cake donut, dense but not as crumby as typical cake donuts. I also liked the pumpkin seeds on the pumpkin donuts. If you eat it there, they have these cute porcelain plates you can eat them on. My only gripe here are the prices!! Each donut was $6. I feel like for the size and quality of the donut, it does not align with the price.

Came here not knowing that this place serves only gluten free goodies. For someone who adheres to this kind of diet, this place might be a 5 star. However, for the unrestricted, it's just a three. The interior is cute and lively. The staff is super friendly and helpful. I only had the bread pudding and oat milk latte which I think were just okay.

I'm such a coffee snob and I've worked and lived in this community for over 15 years now. I can't believe I've never been in here. They have great options for folks who are gluten-free or vegan when it comes to donuts or pastries that accompany your coffee. They even had an amazing keto option. Donut today with just almond flour, egg butter, and monk fruit. Very welcoming owner and staff. I love mom and Pop shops like this. I was recommended here by somebody at reborn coffee. It's great when you have the support of the coffee community. Since I own a business just a few blocks away I'll be coming here much more regularly now that I know about them. I'm excited to check out the breakfast.

I come to this shop frequently and have not once had a bad experience. The shop is well decorated, amazing vibe, and great staff. The staff is so knowledgeable about what they're serving and the processes behind it. I always recommend this place to anyone asking for a good coffee shop in Pasadena. The food is great, i often get a bacon & egg item and it hits every time. This place is a contender for best coffee shop in my opinion, and i've tried every coffee shop in the Pasadena/SGV area, OC area, and most of LA's serious shops. Shout out to the Baristas and to the Bakers who show up super early in the morning!

Yummy sandwich- crusty gluten-free bread, with turkey, bacon, cheddar, Arugula & some kind of spread that included sun-dried tomatoes. Tasty & filling. I picked up the pre-made sandwich. It tasted freshly made. Fast welcoming service. Comfortable casual ambiance.

I was so excited to find this gluten-free bakery--the donuts were absolutely delicious! You can tell they put care into the quality of their baked goods, and it's a rare treat to find something that's both gluten-free and genuinely tasty. However, I have to be honest about my full experience. The guy making the coffee was extremely rude to someone in my party. His attitude was noticeably unfriendly, which really took away from the otherwise warm and welcoming vibe I was hoping for.I'm all for supporting small businesses, but customer-facing roles should be filled by people who can treat customers with basic courtesy and respect. I'd still recommend stopping by for the donuts, but I hope the service improves on the coffee side--great food deserves a better front-of-house experience.

If you're expecting a traditional donut, you won't get it here. If you want something special and decadent, then this is the place. The service was great but the tables were pretty much filled so there was no place to sit for my "here" order. It also took a while to get my drink. There were probably 3 people in front of me also waiting for their drink.

I first visited Hello You're Welcome when it initially opened a few years ago. Honestly, that experience was holistically really, really bad. Because of that experience, I did not return until yesterday. I was really craving something sweet and being dairy free and gluten free really limits my options, so I decided to give them another shot. Let me tell you, it was a night and day difference !!! It was truly like walking into a completely different business. Every single one of the staff members were amazing! So warm and so welcoming! We came towards the end of the day when they were celebrating their second birthday, so they didn't have the widest selection of pastries left, but the two donuts we had were absolutely delicious. We had a strawberry donut and a maple espresso donut. So flavorful and not overly sweet. We also ordered an oat milk cappuccino and their signature "No Smoking" cortado. I will say the espresso used in our drinks was not our preference. It was very tangy and acidic tasting with almost wine notes. It was really off-putting and definitely did not make the drinks enjoyable. It seems like they use an array of different beans and suppliers, so I'm not sure what they defaulted to in our drinks, but I would be good never having that espresso ever again in my life. I would definitely clarify and specify the type of espresso the next time I order coffee with them. Coffee aside, Hello You're Welcome is a really amazing shop. We came on a Tuesday around 8:15a and it was empty. It really pains me to write this rough review because the interior of this business is so beautiful and aesthetic and I really wanted to love it. Also, my cousin is gluten free so I was excited to bring her here and try the pastries as we were told the entire menu is gluten free. Unfortunately, I can't get past the squirming insect (I won't say the name, because it feels accusatory, but let's just say it rhymes with tockcoach) that I spotted on the floor. We had already ordered a donut and matcha Americano otherwise I would've suggested we leave. And I know those type of insects don't imply that a place is dirty, but on top of that the drink was not my favorite. The only thing saving this business from a 1-star for me was its donuts, but for the value (size and price), I can't say I will be coming back.

This is what I had with my daughter- biscuit, sandwich, chocolate chip cookie, sprinkle donut and a mocha. So tasty and very nice and helpful staff.

Best gluten free donuts in all of LA, i swear. Every other place I've been to for GF donuts just doesn't compare. I drive all the way from West Hollywood for these. So happy to have found this place!

What a cute little neighborhood donut shop! with that IG photo opps! I was on my long walk through the neighborhood and received a request to pick up coffee on the way back. Since I knew I would have to carry it for another two blocks to the hotel, I thought I would stop here on the way back. I went in with average expectations because it's a donut shop. What surprised me was this cute little shop and friendly staff. They were patient and helpful since I walked in and was overwhelmed by the offerings. I did not realize this was gluten free until I started reading the yelp reviews. I picked up our usual lattes and a box of the day old donuts. Service was great, staff was friendly. What appealed to me is that it attracts a lot of regulars - which is always a good thing. Definitely worth a return visit the next time I'm in the area.

Once upon a time, there were a couple donut shops with gluten free options. Then the pandemic killed them. In other words they brainlessly decided to stop making gluten free donuts. Then there was LeBerry, a wonderful little spot with a selection of gluten free options including incredible croissants. When I went to find them this time, their name had changed. They said, "Hello." I said, "...wait everything is gluten free?" They said, "you're welcome." And the rest is history. Try the breakfast sandwich muffin things. Incredible.

I came to this place for the gluten-free donuts and online presence, was excited to try! The employees that have helped me are always friendly and the shop is run very efficiently. It's overall a quiet place to sit and I enjoy the vibe they give off - peaceful, positive, light. They have lots of unique options, which is great if you're an explorer! I've tried several of their donuts, and can pretty confidently give an overarching review of them. For one, they're all very sweet and their flavors are very obvious. However, I think if you're like me and you don't usually reach for max sweetness, these may be an overload. I also noticed that a lot of them are on the drier side, forgivable since they're gluten-free, but also very greasy. Your fingers will have oil all over them after handling one donut. I think they're very cute, but this place feels more aesthetically pleasing than a place for a good go-to donut that won't break the bank.

Wow! I've been meaning to try the savory options at this place and was pleasantly surprised at the great texture and flavor of the biscuits. This is their season item of the bacon, egg & cheese biscuit. Don't be fooled by how big of a portion it is because the biscuit is very light and airy with a great crumble, and the flavors and moisture from the bacon, egg and cheese compliment the whole food item as a whole. Can't wait to try their sandwiches next!

Very well made delicious creations of art. The recipes are thoughtful and hit the spot. New favorites include cherry cheesecake and chocolate covered vanilla filled pastry (wow!!). The owner is super sweet as well as the staff. The lattes are well done too. IMO, better than the other vegan bakeries in Pasadena.

Super nice staff, very informative and welcoming. The Tiki latte was so good! Never would I have ever thought that a hint of pineapple would go well with my coffee. The store's decor is so cute, unique, quirky. I really enjoyed the ambiance. I'll be back soon!

I absolutely love this spot in Pasadena They have the best gluten free donuts around. Whenever I can I make it a point to stop in for breakfast! They make this delicious homemade Frittata that's to die for! Everything here is great ! They put a lot of love into their baking. I always get two of their fabulous donuts to go ! Look forward to my next visit ! Until then... bake on!

I was surprised that this is gluten free for all the bagged foods, savory and sweet. I stopped by during a police community event and bought 2 *small* ring donuts - churro and chocolate covered. $15. It's hard to add a tip at that price. Sorry. I was told these don't have added sugar but use a natural alternative. They weren't as sweet as you'd expect, but still good with coffee. P.s. the free coffee in the container was so weak I hope that's not the cases regular drip.

I was literally the only customer in the place. Waited over 15 minutes for 2 regular ass drinks and a pastry. And there were 3 employees. No acknowledgement at all about the wait.

I was sad when I heard that LeBerry had closed but happy when I found out a new vegan donut shop had taken its place. Hello You're Welcome had its grand opening on September 16th. I have to say, the name is cute & catchy. My visit was a week later, and I arrived a few minutes after they opened so fresh, warm donuts were still being brought out from the oven. I had the opportunity to chat with Amy (head baker), who was delightful. Espen was also very sweet. What was currently was available looked pretty & tempting. I selected the AB&J, which had an almond butter & jam filling coated with an almond butter glaze and topped with a mini berry glazed donut. These are not the typical yeast donuts. They are more like a Bundt cake but not as dense. The AB&J was moist and flavorful. The almond butter wasn't overpowering, and the jam added the right amount of sweetness. They also serve specialty coffee drinks made with Roast House Coffee, in addition to tea & cold brew nitro. Vegan, high protein, gluten free, sugar free, keto & paleo friendly donuts are also available. These delightful treats are not cheap. They run about $6 each but are worth every penny.

Lately I've been around town and checking out different coffee shops. So far I have to say the ambience is one of the better shops around. Decor just give you a very relax feeling . No deafening music or real tight space. Donuts are a bit pricey but definitely a nice place to hang out have a sweet treat. Donuts are vegan if that matters. Textures are chewy kind not the soft dough. Ube coconut was much sweeter than the S'mores if that is possible. They also have suggestion pairings for their treats. Savory food is offered as well.

I've been wanting to stop by this new cafe since they were featured on Eater LA, mostly to try out their keto donuts. To my surprise when I went, they didn't have just 1 flavor, but 4 flavors of Keto Donuts! This cafe has many other varieties of donuts including gluten free options. Also, I found out they have breakfast foods: Frittatas, egg sandwiches, etc. I ordered a Frittata and they heated it up in the oven. The Frittata turned out to be really flavorful. The vegetables and herbs paired well with the fluffy egg and creamy cheese mix. We also got a single origin coffee and 2 donuts, a maple keto donut and a regular pumpkin vanilla one. Forgot about parking: there's street parking, but I parked at the Paeso garage nearby and got my ticket validated at a Starbucks. Street parking is sometimes hard to find. Overall, this cafe is welcoming to everyone and has a variety of tasty desserts and breakfast foods. Highly recommend checking it out, I plan to stop by often after my first experience!

Came here on a Sunday around noon to grab a donut for my niece. She's allergic to eggs, so I was glad to find a shop serving vegan donuts. In terms of parking, I was able to snag a spot on the street - I don't believe they have a lot or anything, so street parking is likely your best bet. When I arrived, the shop wasn't busy at all and I was greeted by the worker. I shared my niece's allergies and the worker was very thorough in confirming that none of the vegan donuts contained any of the other allergens (peanuts and sesame). I decided to go with the chocolate donut with sprinkles wbu h came out to $5.51 including tax. $5 per donut is a bit steep, but I'm guessing it's the going rate for vegan donuts. My niece ended up really enjoying it, so I'd definitely return if I were to get her another donut. All in all, the staff are friendly, the merch is cute & trendy, and the donuts are presented well!

This place is our stopover before going to the kids museum. Good coffee and the cutest donuts that taste great too! Lots of vegan and gluten free options for those who prefer it.

Loved this shop! I bake a lot and recently had to stop eating gluten for health reasons. This place is a definite repeat visit for me. They have so many gluten free options. To speak to the quality of the items, I literally did not believe their gluten free chocolate chip cookie was gluten free at first! It was so good. I've literally had worse chocolate chip cookies made with gluten at other bakeries, I was so impressed. My other favorite items are the scones and the ding dongs. Would highly recommend, I hope they stick around!

It's a cute new place that I've been wanting to try, but it's a huge disappointment! The donuts are small and $5 each. The flavors are interesting but the taste is horrible!! I got a strawberry flavored one and it tastes nothing like a donut!!! Nothing!!!!! It's super cakey, no, it's a cake!! And it's very very sweet. I absolutely don't recommend this place.

Just came for a matcha latte. It was very good. Excellent nutty matcha flavor. I got it with oat milk, which wasn't extra. People were friendly and helpful. It wasn't busy when I was there in the afternoon. Has a fun, bright, airy vibe inside. Pastries all looked excellent, but wasn't in the mood that day.

I'm always obsessed with the people working here, they're so friendly and extroverted it makes me jealous Their seasonal drinks are very tasty! i think last fall they had a brown sugar cardamom latte that I still think about.... i wish they'd bring it back just for me...... Highly love and recommend the food. nothing is too sweet and the location is really good. It's fun to people watch as you eat your donut! You could easily study here too but I would much rather chit chat with the fine folks running the place
