LA Restaurants Try to Draw New Diners With Separate Outdoor Menus | Eater LA

"Launched mid-October in the parking lot adjacent to All Day Baby, this weekend-only, charming al fresco operation was created out of necessity by Lien Ta and partners and features an 11-item menu from All Day Baby chef Jonathan Whitener with every dish priced under $27; it runs with a deliberately limited staff (Ta plus two servers and a bartender) who must use a crosswalk and take extra safety precautions, and despite the logistical challenges I find producing Helluva Time dinners a joyful way to introduce regular guests to something different while appealing to a new neighborhood crowd." - Mona Holmes

Wish I could add another review so this was separate but editing it We came for a second visit. I brought my mom while she was visiting from Oregon Our server was Cami her service was impeccable professional. She went above and beyond. She deserved 10 Stars by far! Last monday 8/11/2025 Very amazing service! Top notch for sure. Very attentive! Chicken sandwich, tri-tip plate, onion rings phenomenal!! Will be back!

Second time here. This place is awesome 🤩. Great beer 🍻 and great food. We get the pretzel when we come here and it’s always good. If you’re in the area this place is the way to go, get to cool down with a refreshing beer and good food. Server have always been super nice and kind. And love their beers on can. Jordan is the man you want as a waiter! Awesome server 👏🏼

Google
Stopped in for an early dinner this evening. Had a nice dark beer(Up in Smoke) and the chips and corn queso dip. Service was great and the food came out super fast. I like going here because it’s a relaxed environment and they always have good sports on the TVs. Update 2/27/2025. Stopped in for happy hour. Had their darkest beer, which was wonderful along with corn dogs that had brats inside. They were very good.

Google
Awesome atmosphere, great burgers, and yummy cheese dip! Service was good, and there were a lot of home-brewed beers to pick from. Coleslaw was a bit odd... probably won't get that again/recommend it. Tasty (waffle) fries. Excited to go back!

Google
I think another "mass appeal" brewpub. The service was pleasant, but slow. I generally like to have an IPA followed by something dark, but when I went to order the dark beer they told me they were out. Seriously? How hard it is to put a sticker on the menu? I wouldn't have stopped in had I known that. The nachos were good but not excellent and I didn't like the chilli.

Zsolt E.

Google
Just had another fantastic meal at Helluva! Big shout out to Tony and his entire team there.. The salmon was cooked to perfection, the chilli was next level (I’m already thinking about the next time I can order some). the selection of beer is on-point and it’s all wrapped up in a friendly environment with a booming local vibe. Thanks again.👊🏻😊

Google
This makes the second time I've been to Helluva with the guys and it's the second time I haven't been let down 😊 It's rare to find a place with good beer AND good food. In our case, the raspberry ale-brined wings were amazingly delicious and juicy. Our server was straight up when we sat down and told us they were short a couple folks and asked for our patience...thankfully, we were there to enjoy ourselves - and that's exactly what we did!

Google
Chill spot. Some decent beers. The sour peach brew was a surprise. The hazy IPA was good. A few I wasnt a fan of West Coast was not very West coast to me. But that happens. The food looked good but I did not order it.

Yelp
Got there a little bit later in the night with about an hour to closing. But the service was phenomenal. Make sure we had everything. Make sure we're good reasonably time. The food was good. We ordered the nachos atmosphere was good. Music was very minimal still could have a conversation crowd. Volume wasn't too loud. Everything was decent.

Yelp
Helluva Brewing really lives up to the name! We had a helluva lunch! The Grapefruit Hazy IPA was the perfect seasonal pick. Super light, refreshing, and just enough citrus to keep things bright. The chicken finger app? Surprisingly great. You could tell it was real chicken, not that overly processed stuff. Nice crispy batter. The Korean chili sauce had solid flavor, but we were craving a bit more heat--would've loved it tossed instead of on the side. Now the tri tip sandwich? Chef's kiss. That smoked Gouda was perfectly melted and the meat was fall-apart tender. Laid-back vibe, good service, and solid pub food with some elevated touches. Great local find.

Yelp
We stopped here for dinner several weeks ago after doing some volunteer work. We didn't have reservations but since it was fairly early and a weeknight we didn't need any. Although, I have to admit that I don't know if they even take reservations. Parking was very easy and right in front of the restaurant. We were immediately greeted and seated when we entered. It was such a treat to sit and enjoy food and drink in an open air space while we still have enjoyable weather. Wish I could remember the name of our great server because she was very attentive and helpful with all of our questions and provided excellent service! Her recommendations were awesome and our food was delicious! We ordered a Bourbon bbq burger and Lisa's chicken sandwich which were both great! The beers were very tasty but they were sold out of a few things so we have to return to try their seasonal goodness when it's back in season again. We're already looking forward to returning and bringing more people in so they can enjoy their offerings too. We definitely enjoyed ourselves and hope many others pay them a visit to partake of their wonderful food and drink offerings.

Yelp
My husband and I stopped in for lunch during the weekend and had an enjoyable experience. Opened in December 2018. Helluva Brew has up to 20 of their own beers brewed on site. They also offer several cocktails and eight wines on tap. Cool concept creating their own "suds & smokes" menu which pairs well with their beers plus a variety of food menu options such as their smoked meats. We were most impressed with this establishment, especially for a late lunch on Sunday. It was not busy during the timeframe we were there, which was pleasant to relax and just enjoy some football. The bartender(s) service was attentive, knowledgeable & friendly. The beers we tried were very good (too many to sample on a single visit). Ordered a flight - "Well ain't that peachy" - light, peachy brew, helleweissen - Hefeweizen with banana flavor, "Bringing sexy back" - raspberry flavor, and the "Thrills with vanilla" - a cocoa and vanilla stout. Plus an Oktoberfest & a Good Ole Boy! Food: Can only speak on the wings which were smoked and had a bacon'y taste. They were very tasty. The menu has much more to offer and we will definitely return to explore additional beers on tap and possibly do a sandwich as those looked pretty decent too! They have outdoor seating. Pretty cool as the garage doors open to the patio area. You can also see the actual brewing process behind the bar. Bring your fur babies as they're allowed in the outside space for dining. Happy Hour- Tuesday thru Friday 3 PM to 6 PM. Select appetizers $1. $2 off 9 oz Wines & $5.75 Helluva Beers. You can make reservations & check their webpage for more; including some Sunday "Fundays" which when we came in, it was $5 drink special ALL day!

Yelp
Great food and service! The chef and management are perfect for this place! The servers are very attentive and on the ball. Try it and you'll agree

Yelp
Everything we have eaten here has been amazing. The food tastes so fresh and is not your typical boring brewery food. They have a huge shaded dog friendly patio as well. The service is always good and it really feels like you're at your neighborhood restaurant. We will be returning here many times!

Yelp
5 Stars - Absolutely Incredible Local Gem! We had such an amazing experience at this incredible brewery in Chandler! The vibe is unbeatable -- they have these massive garage doors that lift open, giving the whole place a super cool indoor-outdoor feel, especially when the weather is nice. While they are a brewery, they also have a full bar with fantastic cocktails, wine, and Prosecco. We tried a little bit of everything, and it did not disappoint. The wings were hands-down the freshest I've ever had -- we ordered them half dry rub and half bourbon peach BBQ, and both were outstanding. The homemade ranch and blue cheese dressings were the perfect dipping sauces, and even the celery and carrots were super fresh. We also shared their cheesesteak sandwich, which came on a perfectly toasted French baguette with Monterey Jack cheese, jalapeños, and a delicious aioli -- absolutely fantastic. And for dessert, we couldn't resist the peanut butter mousse cake with a side of fluff -- dear Lord, it was out of this world! We sampled three of their beers, enjoyed two Proseccos, and our entire bill (with tip!) came out to $111 -- totally worth every penny. They play great music that's fun but not overpowering, and there are plenty of TVs if you want to catch a game. It's clear they care about creating a welcoming atmosphere: new guests get a gift card for a free appetizer, and if you bring friends, they get one too -- sharing the love! We originally found them through Check, Please! and everything they raved about was 100% spot on. It's so awesome to have such a fun, high-quality spot right here in our neighborhood. We can't wait to come back!

Yelp
great food/beer and ambiance. Love the garage door indoor/outdoor layout. def want to try brunch!

Yelp
Wow, we used to come to this place weekly! It was right by the house, so it became our local favorite weekly treat. Went on football Sunday to watch a big game! Ordered alcohol before "last call" and didn't expect to buy anymore alcohol . We just wanted to finish watching the game. It's a "sports bar" so you think they would communicate with you before hand. Maybe even post a sign saying that you will turn off the game even if it's still going on, so guest who want to watch the game know not to dine here. 2 minutes after 8 the manager shut off all the tvs with the game still playing !!! No warning, no communication, just pure rudeness. Ps- they charge for pickles, ranch, and whatever else they can. Long story short - Won't be back to our favorite weekly spot. Hope this helps other sports fans :)

Yelp
We went in on a Sunday afternoon, it was very quiet and not many people. Service was great and food came out quickly. On Sundays they have $5 drinks! I also really enjoyed the peachalisious beer. The tri tip was cooked perfect, and my favorite was the slaw they had for the side. It was more of a kale salad with sweeter dressing, it was so good! Can't wait to be back again!

Yelp
Hit this joint up before returning to my hotel, but didn't have the best experience. Sampled a few beers, and thought they were average...a nice grapefruit hazy was the best of the lot. Decided to have dessert and ordered the Creme Brulee Cheesecake.. I got the last piece, but it had a hunk of plastic baked in... found it in my first bite, so I can't comment on taste... they brought me the Chocolate Peanut Butter Mousse Pie... very dense and rich. Not as sweet as expected and not quite what I wanted(as my tongue expected cheesecake!) Service was distracted as the bartender was fully engrossed in a conversation with a guy at the end of the bar, so I had to flag her down for both my dessert issue and my beer order. Lotsa beer joints in this town, this one doesn't make the list...

Yelp
Our server was very nice. Service was fast. Food was good, everyone seemed to like what they ordered.

Yelp
I am always on the lookout for something fun, something different. Today I came across Helluva Brewing Company while out in Chandler and with that name how can you not go inside. I knew instantly this was a place I could hang out. Chill vibes, large bar, great menu, plenty of TVs to catch the game. Burgers are a fave in our family and I love to try different options. I love a little kick to mine so I opted for the Helluva Burger with bacon, jalepenos, pepper jack, helluva sauce and carmalizes onions. I loved the other options came on the side. (Tomato, lettuce etc) fries were crispy and fabulous. Second choice would've been the PB and J Burger I heard everyone including the waitress raving about. We started with pretzel bites as an appetizer and a few samples of the sour beers they had on tap. Both were good. The Sour Berry Burst smelled amazing and had a great kick of raspberry and strawberry. I however preferred the What the Huck with you guessed it huckleberry and that hint of sour of course. With both on tap it was hard to choose. It's hard at times to find a good brewery who serves them on tap and not just in cans. Others at my table opted for your basic miller lite, helluva cheesesteak, all American burger, and the beef tri tip. Everything came out fairly quick. The pretzel bites were a huge hit though we did not care for the mustard dipping sauce. It came with cheese as well which was good. Everyone loved their food for the most part, but the cheesesteak which was dry and not as flavorful as we'd of liked. Service was good, but did at times taper off. She did get back to us with refills etc before we had to chase anyone down. Parking was easy and for a Sunday afternoon not too busy. Definitely a place I'd come back to. If you're looking for a fun place to chill with some friends and you're in the East Valley I'd say come see for yourself. Enjoy.

Yelp
You already know I love this place. Great food and always the best service. Great atmosphere with a relaxing vibe. Today, I had a Blueberry Sunshine Sour, a Sour Berry Burst and finished with a Bringing Sexy Back. I typically order the Everything Chili, but today I was adventurous and choose a Southwest Chipotle Pasta, which had a little spice. It was recommended by our bartender Alex and I enjoyed all of my selections. My girlfriend chose to eat like a 12 year old and had the Chicken Tenders and Fries. I assure you there are better choices.
google avatar

Ari K.

Yelp
I have always loved coming here. But today just topped the cake. We were supposed to go on a brewery bar hop today but Amber made the experience so homely and amazing we decided to stay here the whole time. She made us feel so welcome and we laughed a whole bunch. She's an amazing person. I don't come here often but she made the whole experience worth coming back. Definitely one of the best servers you have.

Yelp
Hubby & I had dinner here tonight. We had high hopes for this place. We were disappointed. We were seated right away. The service was good. The food came out quickly, and was hot. I ordered a vodka and cranberry juice. I don't like beer. I ended up getting a cranberry mule. It had ginger beer in it & wasn't good. Hubby got a beer. He said the beer wasn't very cold. We ordered the pretzel bites. We didn't like the beer cheese that comes with it. We normally love beer cheese, but not theirs. I got the Lisa chicken sandwich. We both got fries. Hubby liked his sandwich & fries. The breading came off my chicken. The ranch dressing was really good. We had 2 drinks each, the pretzel bites, and two sandwiches. With a tip our bill was $91. Way too much for what we had. We don't have a reason to go back.

Yelp
This local spot is the best in the area. Great craft beers at reasonable prices and lots to choose from. The burger was amazing and the best compared to other local places. The salmon sandwhich was also 10/10. We can not wait to go back there and try more items off the menu. Everything looks so good. The service was fast and very friendly! Great local spot!!

Steve W.

Yelp
Our new favorite place, even though neither of us are big beer drinkers. Good menu options with an emphasis on Tri-tip, my favorite bit of beef. Reservations aren't available Friday or Saturday nights, but it's a big place with plenty of seating most times. Outdoor seating when the weather permits. The fried pickle appetizers were a winner!
google avatar

Yelp
Brittany was awesome! Came to Helluva Brewing Co for the first time to eat. It was really really really good! Love the salmon, burger, and the onion straws. We're great! The ambience, the indoor-outdoor seating was great especially on a day like today in Arizona. The beer was amazing. The only reason for four stars, and the only reason, was because the onion straws came to the table at room temperature. They were good, but boy, if they had been hot and a little crispier, would've been five out of five. Come on down to Helluva Brewery for a great meal and some great beer.

Donna B.

Yelp
First time at Helluva Brewing Co. The food was great, the french fries were fabulous. Our waiter Gage was very helpful with great suggestions. We are already looking forward to our next visit.

Yelp
One HELLUVA Time! From the door, to the table, to ordering/getting our food, to enjoying our food... the experience was Top Notch! The fact that it's an actual brewery (and you can see all of the cool brewing equipment made the time there even more the better! The Vibe is Crazy-Cool, which helped keep the overall all mood chill. I don't remember all of the names, but Brittany was our hostess, and Autymn was also very helpful (since it was our first time there)! Both were Amazing! Definitely not our last visit! *Food was so good I forgot to take pics... Take visiting Family by this place!
google avatar

Jose M.

Yelp
I really like this place. It's a great neighborhood type bar. Not flashy or crazy. Weekends can get pretty busy. Food is always very good or better. Staff is great. I always enjoy sitting at the bar. The barte can be busy but are always friendly.
google avatar

Kory D.

Yelp
Our server Cami was the best!!! Super friendly, gave great recommendations and provided outstanding service as we just sat and casually ate our way through appetizers and dinner. We ordered the fried pickles - which were the best I've had here in the valley! We ordered the patty melt & sweet potato fries which were amazing dipped in their house made honey mustard and house made ranch!! I had the Everything Chili and onion straws - which is an amazing combo - and OMG!!! I cannot wait to come back when it's not 110 degrees to fully enjoy the chili! lol Def recommend - and can't wait to go back!!!
google avatar

Felipe M.

Yelp
I attended a watch party for Copa America final at Helluva on Sunday 14th. Staff was top notch and super friendly! Food and beer great as well!! Felt the need to write a review because not only were they very welcoming to a whole bunch of Colombia fans, but the game was delayed by 1 hour 15 mins and they graciously stayed open past their normal closing time to let folks watch the end of game!! Game result wasn't what we wanted but it'd be inappropriate to take away a star for that! LOL!
google avatar

Ben D.

Yelp
Me and my wife did the usual song and dance about what to have for dinner. We were at a weird time for dinner too. Most places were busy at that time too. She wanted a burger and I did not care. We drove by HELLUVA Brewing Company and did a quick yelp and saw the good star count. We got here and I liked the atmosphere. We sat outside because of the nice weather. The server was there on the spot. He did a great job through out the time we were there. We got their pretzel bites and they were pretty good. The mustard is my favourite dip. I got a hamburger with a salad. The salad was good and fresh. The All American hamburger was good and tasty. I loved the taste of their HELLUVA sauce on the burger. I do not drink so I can not comment on their selection of beer. I will come back and try the Bourbon BBQ Burger.

Yelp
Helluva was recommended to us by a friend and we were pleasantly surprised by our experience. Starting from when we walk through the doors, the host allowed us to pick a table where we were most comfortable. We decided on a regular tabletop and asked if we can get the televisions nearby changed to some March Madness games. The bartender was able to accommodate our requests and changed the channels for us. We were greeted by our server within minutes with water and she allowed us time to decide on what we wanted to have. After ordering our drinks and food, we didn't have to wait long for anything to arrive to the table. Our beers hit the table and less than ten minutes later our appetizer arrived too. Our entrees arrived promptly as well. I loved the Nice Melons IPA -- it was light, refreshing, and had hints of honeydew as advertised. We loved the Smoked Buffalo Chicken Dip but we'd skip the Southwest Chipotle Pasta next time. The pasta just didn't have any flavor and was dry. The burger was cooked to medium as requested and was seasoned well. The waffle cut sweet potato fries are a must! They provide big portions so we packed some of it to-go. It was a relaxing lunch and we enjoyed ourselves. We will be back again soon.

Yelp
Excellent brewery! Loved the selection and seasonal beers. Food was also very solid...get the pretzel bites, YUM. Ambriell was our server and did an amazing job. Very attentive and super awesome!!! Brew pub vibe, plenty of seating. Worth the visit!!!
google avatar

Yelp
Located on the NE corner of McClintock and Ray Rd. Plenty of parking available. They have quite a few TVs. They actually brew their beer on site (see photo). They have beer flights so you can tryout a few options. Always a good choice. All the beers were excellent. We got the Salmon sandwich, see the height in the photo. I think self explanatory. We also got Shawn's sampler which has a bit of everything and very good. I was also hungry for some chili so I substituted the chili as one of my sides. The chili has brats, tri tip, and chicken, will probably need to have a larger serving next time in AZ

Renee L.

Yelp
This place was great. We live in Tennessee and was looking for a local brewery to hang out while waiting to check into our hotel. We found the Helluva Brewery in Chandler. The nachos were great and the beers even better. I had the Grapefruit Dreams IPA (absolutely amazing) and a sample of the Coast To Coast IPA (very good). My husband sampled the Aurora and had a pint of the Midnight Porter. When in this area, check them out. We enjoyed the atmosphere and the beer/food. We are taking beer home with us. You will too.
google avatar

Amber W.

Yelp
I gotta say I was pleasantly surprised with how delicious the food was! We had nachos, a bowl, and the corn dog bites and all were fantastic. Family-friendly, lots of TVs and great service. Outdoor seating and lots of booths inside. And WINE ON TAP!! We will definitely be back.
google avatar

Keana U.

Yelp
Our first time with our pup too we will be back! We love places that are super dog friendly. and had a great time and the food was delish! Our server was so awesome too!

ET G.

Yelp
Tried after seeing on Check Please. The food is good. Nothing I would say I have to get back for ASAP for but was good. Tennessee Hot Chicken is not hot at all and bun is way bigger than the chicken. Burgers were decent. Fries and onion strings are very good. Buffalo Chicken Dip was okay. Was not very spicy and chips are pretty thick. Service was really good and booths are nice and there are a lot of TV's for sport. Would go back and try other items.

Yelp
Inaugural visit on Friday. The gal beertender that I first started discussing styles was friendly as she poured me a Juice Is Loose NEIPA as was the helpful JT who poured me a Mele Kalikimaka and Up In Smoke. I opted for a pint of Well Aint That Peachy..... I was a bit bummed to find that they only offered pint size pours, no 10 oz and 5 oz were only for high ABV beers. However, not something that would make me write Helluva off. I opted for the pint and told JT I likely won't finish the beer, not that I didn't like it.... just more than I was looking for. I like the tap room, brew house is right behind the bar and of course the walls of floor to ceiling windows! A gal down the bar came in a little while later.... everyone clamoured to her as she hadn't been in all month. Dry January. Which caused me to ask: breweries down here don't do N/A? She seemed puzzled... I assumed that was a nationwide trend. But it was fun to see all the employees check up on a regular....aww I told JT that they had come highly recommended, he asked who? I told him Taproom 120 owner Matt. JT told me they collabed for their one year anniversary beer "it just kicked yesterday" drats. Helluva is a great brewery to pop in to for the beer, service and the ambiance, cheers!

Jon K.

Yelp
Great location in a working brewery, I liked the atmosphere . Wait staff was very good and the food looked delicious but the beers ... not very good. They were out of two IPAS - Coast to Coast and Off the Wall, so I tried two New England style IPAS, I did not like either. I had a glass of Oh Jay very bitter and with a rough finish. I would never order again. Then I tried the Aurora amber, the finish was way too light and tasted like water. I can't understand how they won a Best of the Valley. I cannot recommend for the beers, maybe the food is good and the other drinks but it's a brewery som the beers should dominate, they don't.
google avatar

Becca C.

Yelp
We've been looking for a local brewery to enjoy delicious food and craft drinks, and Helluva exceeded our expectations. We tried the warm pretzel bites with beer cheese and mustard, the bourbon bbq burger, patty melt, sweet potato and regular fries. I enjoyed a peach fruit beer, as well. On top of the delicious food, the atmosphere is so chill and laidback, exactly what we were hoping to find. Fantastic indoor and outdoor seating with sliding doors that open up for nice weather. Alicia and J.T. took great care of us - top notch service. We can't wait to visit again and take our pup to check out the dog friendly patio. My husband wants to try the chicken sandwich next and I plan to try the Sour Berry Burst next! I have a feeling this will be a frequent spot for us.

Yelp
Great beer choices and the food was cooked to perfection. Chicken wings and pulled pork with chili so tasty and sweet potato fries! Very good. This place is a must go and try.

Yelp
Wow, what a disappointment. It's hard to believe that my 5-star review from 1.5 yrs ago has fallen so low. In short, the service sucked, so badly that we have no desire to return to Helluva. We arrived last Saturday shortly after 4 p.m. It was not busy (I saw more staff than patrons) and although we were seated right away, it took about five minutes before a gal strolled over. Strike one! She apologized. For what? Well, after this experience, I can only guess she was apologizing for being too busy yapping w/ other staff that she didn't come over sooner; or that someone didn't come over to at least give us water. We took our drink order and appetizer (fried pickles). After delivering those, she took our meal order. Usually w/ appetizers, each person will receive a small plate to load up their individual tidbits of the appetizer. We never received those smaller plates, eating off the large appetizer plate. Strike two! Our meals were delivered in a relatively good time, however, not once did she come back to inquire how everything tasted. Strike three! Nor did she return to ask if we wanted a refill on water or the teas we had. My sister even put her EMPTY glass on the edge of the table, testing our server's awareness. She was clueless. Strike four! She only returned when we began filling up our personal take-home containers and did not even ask if we wanted dessert. Even if we were packing up our plates, any decent server would ask "did you save room for dessert?" No, she did not do that. Strike five! In summary, I would be less harsh in my criticism if the place was super busy and they were short staffed. I would be more understanding in that situation. But when we watch our server standing up at the bar, chit-chatting with other servers, clearly her priority is not her customers, and she had no qualms ignoring us. So we had no qualms not leaving a tip.

Yelp
I love breweries. I have brewed beer myself for over 25 years and have embraced the craft beer and microbrewery movement since it started, and I still love a good local spot. I was a craft beer hipster before being a craft beer hipster was a thing (but without the weird mustache). Meta-hipster, if you will. I was REALLY excited to check this place out. This place is trash. What a bag of disappointment. Seriously. Friday night, 7:30pm. Place was suspiciously empty, but I was happy to be able to sit my 4-top anywhere I guess? I figured out why, and it only took about a quarter of an hour to start sorting it out. This place has to be a front. No business can be this bad at what they do and survive for 4 years. 15 minutes after we were seated, the server found the time to saunter over and grace us with her presence. Could very well have been the most effort she had put into our table that night, now that I think of it. It was considerate of her to show up every 30 minutes and take our refill/next drink orders, so there's that apparently. But I digress. Let's talk food and drinks here. Beer: Porter: I didn't finish it. It was that bad. And I love porters/stouts. I was excited to have a dark beer, but the copper taste of this one really didn't do it for me. Should look into cleaning their lines, as the recipe couldn't have been as bad as that beer was. IPA (Juice is Loose): VERY GOOD tasting beer. But at 6.4 ABV, when you serve it in a 10 ounce tulip as though it were a 14 percent trippel, you only end up looking like a dickhole because you just served a mid-octane beer in a tulip and you shorted your customer 6 ounces of what would have otherwise been a pretty decent beer had you served it like a professional. Seriously, y'all know what you're doing here and the non-rubes don't appreciate it. Be better. IPA (??): I had another IPA there. It was OK. I'd name it, but it's not on their sorely outdated website, and I'm not interested enough in going back into my wallet to find the receipt. Food: I had the PB&J burger, ordered Medium-Well. Apparently, "Medium Well" means "cook every last ounce of liquid and fat out of the burger and put that bytch under the heat lamp until the under-motivated server finds the time to stop the de-hydration process and bring it to the table". Bun was a nice brioche. Cheese was dried out, as was the bacon. Paltry amount of PB, and the jelly had succumbed to the heat lamps and oozed all over the bottom of the plate, which actually worked out really well because even though the burger sucked, the dried-out fries started to absorb the wayward molten globs of jelly, and this might have been the best part of this experience of the evening. The bar is that low (, but I surmise there might be a market for jelly fries, so perhaps someone wants to take this idea and run with it?). Fried Pickles: Meh. Glad it was only (heh) $9 per place of 5 long-slices of mediocre pickles. Doesn't merit any more words. And apparently this place closes at 10pm, on a Friday night, and we were forced to leave. I don't even have words for that. A brewery closing at 10, on a high-traffic area of Ray Road? LOL, GTFOH. Overall: I Ubered here, really stoned off some killa. I was super-munchie hungry, and thirsty for some really good beer. And the food sucked, and the beer was alright. Total buzzkill. Verdict? Failure.

Yelp
Decided to try a new place for dinner and ordered takeout. The person who took my order over the phone was great. The interaction at the restaurant was not great. I was ignored by multiple people as they made their way to gather and chat. The person that did help me didn't say more than two words to me and appeared to be miserable at work. As I pulled into my driveway, the restaurant called to inform me that they had forgotten to put my au jus in my bag. Very kind to call and inform me, but no effort was made to make up for the mistake. The food was pretty good! The tri tip sandwich was a little dry and a little bland(probably a lot better with au jus) the fries were pretty tasty as well. I would definitely go back for the food, but I most likely will not go back because of the service.

Yelp
So great! We read some of the more recent reviews before checking it out for ourselves, honestly, this place is great! We came for happy hour and left planning our next visit. The food was so good, we had the smoked buffalo chicken dip and the pretzels, both were amazing! Hanna was our server and she was so sweet! We brought our little guy with us and it was well received. Very quiet when we first arrived but started to pick up towards the end of our visit. Great music, good crowd, can't wait to come back!

Yelp
I came in the other night. I was very disappointed is the service.Upon arrival the bartender Cami was rude the us and very dismissive. Once seated our server Britney was not attentive. We had to flag her down several times. We won't plan on returning to this establishment.

Yelp
Another great night enjoying the food, drinks and attentive staff at Helluva. Shout out to Cami and Eric! Cami makes a Helluva fantastic cocktail. And a special thanks to Eric for making sure we had a great experience. We'll definitely be back with more friends and family.

Yelp
Dropped by a little after 9 on a Friday night, but their kitchen had closed around 8pm. So I left never to return, so lame!

Yelp
So many things went wrong, it became laughable.... we are done. My first visit here mid-pandemic was amazing, the burger was incredible, the Aurora beer so amazing I bought a jug and took some home. Brought my family (and my jug) with me for my second visit, and all our food was unremarkable, my family thought I must have hallucinated my previous visit. We left without any take home boxes, even tho we all left a significant amount of food on the table. I walked out without refilling my jug. The server didn't notice, didn't ask about the food or the jug, just gave us the check and wished us a nice day. I wrote a negative review about the experience, and a manager or owner replied that this was unlike them and to please give them another chance, that they would increase training for their wait-staff. ( That review is now gone from Yelp for some reason. ) I did appreciate the response. My third visit was without issue. I figured maybe the 2nd visit was a fluke. My family was not with me this time, so I could not re-establish their appraisal of my level of sanity. So tonight was our fourth attempt a Helluva, my wife and I had a craving for burgers and headed out to Zipps ( only a mile away from Helluva, one block north! ) which was packed, so we diverted to Helluva. Got right in. Ordered drinks and fried pickles from our server Cheyenne. Wife orders a medium-well burger, and I order a medium-rare Black and Blue. Pickles arrive and are tasty but heavy on breading and thin on pickle. Still good. Then the burgers come out. I notice blood on my wife's plate around the burger, so I asked her to cut and check before taking a bite. Blood really grosses her out. She cuts and its very rare. So I cut mine, and no pink. They must have mixed up the cook on the patties. We point this out to Cheyenne, and she goes to check. She comes back and carries the burgers back to the kitchen with a promise that they will fix them up for us. (At this point I'm thinking that this is about par for the course for Helluva and us.) A few minutes later, "TJ" comes out to our table and begins explaining to us that they temp all their burgers to standard temps with thermometers, that "medium" is this temp and "rare" is that temp, and so on. I found it pretty condescending, but did not get irritable with him. He then double checks how we want our burgers cooked. I'm pretty insulted now. I've been ordering burgers medium rare for about 40 years, same for the wife and medium well. The mistake was not the level of cook, or that we had no clue how to order what we wanted, but that the orders were simply wrong (reversed). It was a forgivable mistake until we got the third grade treatment from TJ. We are still wanting a no stress evening, so we remain calm. Cheyenne is very apologetic through the whole thing. TJ delivers the replacements and asks us to cut them to make sure they are right for us. We oblige and accept them as cooked. (Interesting note....even though TJ earlier claimed that everything is temp checked, neither of the replacement burgers were bloody, so the data does not support his claim.) Wife liked hers, mine was bland and not moist, but i was hungry, so ate most of it. (Such a shame, as none of my subsequent visits have even come close to the first visit...maybe I was hallucinating.) We declined desert, and received the check. My wife comments, "Wow, a hundred bucks!". I was shocked and just ready to pay and be done with this place. Picked up the check to attach my card, and noticed everything was doubled. We had been charged for all four burgers, even the wrong ones that went back. I waited for Cheyenne's return, at some point she must have caught the error because she was already apologizing as she approached the table, retrieved the check and said they would fix it. I think it was at this point where we switched from being disappointed to finding things humorous. Cheyenne returned with a corrected check, and they had removed my wife's burger, leaving us with a $39 total. Nice gesture, but I would have gladly paid full price had the meal just been executed in a competent manner. So I go to fill out the check, and give Cheyenne a full tip, she had been very kind throughout. It was at this time that we switched to full on laughing at the experience...even the pen didn't work.... We are done Helluva, we tried....multiple times. ( If anyone wants a free Helluva jug, used only once, it will be in our recycle can. See pic.)

Yelp
Food was decent, but the waitress was disinterested & service was slow. One item was incorrect. A manager(?) was helping expedite some orders but not ours. The beers were very good at least.

Yelp
Nice brewpub. They have a good, long bar which is perfect for solo dining/drinking. - Solid draft selection. I tried two and they both were fine. - The menu is fine, too. Tennessee spicy chicken sandwich is A-OK; maybe a little oily. Coleslaw is killer. Good service from the bartender, even if he was a bit overloaded.

Yelp
The place is HUGE first of all. I didn't expect that being in a shopping center, but they have a ton of seating inside. We sat at the bar and ordered a few beers. Looked over the food menu, and it looked good, but we had just eaten so we didn't have anything. They had decorations up for Oktoberfest, so the place looked very festive. The staff was nice and helpful with picking out some beers. We only stayed for one but seems like a cool place to hand for a game and enjoy some good food and beer.
