Helvetia Farm Market is such a happy place to be. It was my first time there and I absolutely loved it! The farm store welcomes you with anything your heart could desire from fresh produce, artisanal goods, coffee tea and even wine. My partner and I came for a quick visit and ended up staying for an impromptu picnic overlooking the beautiful rolling hills - he with a chai tea in hand while I sipped on a delicious Savignon Blanc. Flowers are still in full bloom, joyful chickens run about and everyone is in good spirits at this little gem! There were people there with their young kids playing along with people from all walks of life. This is the kind of place anyone can hang out at for a nice day out of the house, and most importantly a great way to support your local farmers and small business owners! 🩷

Maddie made my first trip the best! She walked us through the products and how everything is sourced through local farms. We ended up buying salmon, steaks and chicken, among fresh produce and found the meat to be worth the extra expense. It felt good to fuel ourselves with organic, grass fed and locally sourced food. Then to top off our experience was the coffee Maddie made us. I don’t remember the label but it was one of the best I ever had.

Helvetia Market is one of my favorite places to go in the area and has been for a few years now. I love to bring my little kids with me so that they can look for the chickens or cows, run around in the lawn kicking around a ball and to get a chocolate milk or steamer and a cinnamon roll. I've been bringing them since they were babies and it's been a great spot to go and grab a coffee, throw a blanket down and enjoy the outdoors with friends. The staff is always very friendly and welcoming. We love the markets they'll host for different times of the year and I love that they always have great cider options available as well. We bring all of our family from out of town here when they visit and it's become somewhere they look forward to coming to every time they're in town. Highly recommend!

My husband and I drove past the market and decided to stop. So happy we did! The store is adorable and has a great selection of local goodies, meat, and produce. We got drinks at the counter and they were excellent. Love this little market!

Google
Helvetia Farm Market is an outstanding stop that offers a little bit of everything for everyone. Their store is brimming with fresh fruits and vegetables, high-quality meats, and a fantastic selection of cheeses. But that's not all; you'll also find an array of knick-knacks, crafts, and other charming items that add to the market's unique character. The wine and beer selection at Helvetia Farm Market is impressive, catering to all tastes. The wine-tasting area in the back is a standout feature, providing a perfect setting to explore local wines with the help of knowledgeable staff. Their great coffee is an added bonus, making it a perfect spot for a morning visit as well. One of the highlights of Helvetia Farm Market is the outdoor seating area. It's the perfect place to sip on a glass of wine and waste the day away, enjoying the peaceful surroundings and beautiful views. The atmosphere is relaxed and inviting, making it easy to unwind and soak in the charm of the market. Overall, Helvetia Farm Market is a must-visit destination in Hillsboro. The combination of fresh produce, delicious drinks, and a wonderful atmosphere makes it a top spot for both locals and visitors. Whether you're there for a quick stop or a leisurely afternoon, you'll find plenty to love about this fantastic market.

Google
Wonderful organic farmstead market. Great to visit for a relaxing time. They have wine, beer and cider, all local as well as meats and cheeses and snacks from Oregon & Washington producers. Seating is available outside under the covered wrap around porch.

Google
Helvetia Farm is a heavenly place to spend an afternoon. This is a true farm-to-table market with local products. Enjoy a cup of coffee from their cafe on the massive porch or browse the market for seasonal goodies. You never know what you might find... fresh veggies, handmade soap, a delicious treat, or ingredients to try out a new recipe at home. Sometimes there is a food truck on site. You can also participate in one of their many events throughout the year, like pick your own bouquet or a s'mores cookout. They have a newsletter if you want a digital headsup on their events. The location is just outside the city but feels like you are a million miles away. Take in the beautiful scenery farm animals, and fresh air. It is the perfect place to escape for a few hours.

Yelp
Amazing place, nothing bad to say about it. It's clean, organized, organic (literally and in the atmosphere), and welcoming. If you're into health, fitness, and nutrition - this is the place. Grassfed organic milk and PASTURE RASIED CHICKEN MEAT (fresh and frozen)!!!!! It's impossibly to get this at any grocery store, the best I can find is organic air chilled chicken, unfortunately, they're still eating mainly grain and you can tell the difference when you compare store chicken to Helvetia's chicken. The texture, size, and flavor simply do not compare. They also have a coffee bar and sell wine, I didn't interact with any of these areas, however, they looked acceptable. The milk was so good, I was shocked the first time I drank 100% grass-fed organic whole milk, it was so delicious and I couldn't believe I was drinking garbage grain-fed cow milk with reduced fat the whole time, It was a moving experience. You can also return the glass bottle because the price of it is added when you checkout, also it helps keep their supply stable at the farm. Also, the glass bottle looks adorable! It's the classic glass milk you see in Disney movies, the same kind they used back in the day (I'm Gen Z so I can't personally verify). People were friendly, nothing to complain about there. The area itself makes a trip there worth it, it's very beautiful and you really feel a connection with the food you're eating. I enjoy knowing what I'm eating and knowing where it's come from is a bonus. I know they also do events, but I've never attended them. The only downside is maybe the price, I don't mind them, but it can be a bit pricey, I think 1lb of chicken thighs was around $18, which is almost doubled that of a normal grocery store selling their normal chicken. I understand the reason for this, it costs more to produce higher quality products, so I don't mind the prices too much, but something to consider if applicable to your financial situation.

Yelp
I like the cafe/ espresso part of this farm market, when I am in the area , they have different local products that is affordable..its good to support local businesses

Yelp
The only place I trust to buy chicken meat. The views are amazing and you can drink some organic tea and sit there and look at the nature and beauty surrounding the farm. Yes it's pretty expensive but they also have a great selection for souvenirs or gifts! They are also very helpful and friendly.

Yelp
I like the local produce here and they even have a few vegan grab and go snacks like falafel wraps.

Yelp
What's happening to this place? I went there yesterday (7/28/25) for some meat, but found the freezers mostly empty. There was chicken, but it didn't look worth the price. I asked a young blonde haired girl in hillbilly overalls if there was a plan to restock, and when. she told me "Sorry, that's not my area of expertise" and walked off. Neither is customer service. People use to be nice here. now they're rude and somber. Prices have gone up, while selection and quality have gone down. Sad really. I use to like this store, but I don't plan on returning again.

Yelp
Locally sourced meat, produce, dairy and pantry stables and excellent customer service - what more could you ask for from your local farm market?! I adore this market, from its location to its exterior & interior look and feel, to its branding - it's just lovely to look at with a welcoming atmosphere and easy peasy vibe. This market carries all of my local favorites - salt, coffee, honey, chocolate, jam, and dairy with plenty of new local faves that I can't wait to explore. They also have coffee and charcuterie plates and host events and classes which I have yet to try but plan to. The grounds have beautiful views out the front and back and there are chickens, cows and farm dogs. It's a cute local place that I look forward to visiting each season and it's a great place to create a local gift basket of goodies for any friends and family who may come to town.

Yelp
Love this local business surrounded by beautiful nature and farm life. They host fun events, carry a variety of products and have a kind helpful team of employees. What has kept me coming back is the drip coffee and gluten free scones. Unfortunately the scones have changed in shape, texture and consistency over the last year from flavorful and crumbly to oily, dense and lackluster. Bummed that they don't have other gf choices. Helvatia Farm is still worth a visit to escape from the bustle of the city!

Tim B.

Yelp
Nice place but they sell stale bakery items at the coffee shop. Just avoid the hard bagels and dried up muffins. Enjoy coffee instead

Yelp
This is such a cute little market. The staff who work here are always extremely friendly and helpful. Everything they sell is from local farmers/businesses. All the produce they sell is consistently picked well. Lots of great options for sugar free jam as well. Not to mention, they carry lots of yummy vegan pastries!

Yelp
Such a cute little store! Located off West Union, it's easy to miss the turn if you're speeding on by. I'd recommend this store for their organic produce and fruits and cute, hand-crafted home goods. They also have a small cafe in-store that I've yet to try, but sells everything from coffee to beer flights. If there was one adjective I could use to describe both the sights and smells of the place, I'd say: cozy. If cozy could be a smell, it'd smell like the herbs, soaps, etc in Helvetia Farm Store. There's a beautiful backyard outside with a few lawn chairs so you can sit and watch the view while chatting with friends over some coffee or alcohol. There's also a covered patio for those rainy Oregon days when you still want to be outside but not getting soaked.

Yelp
Absolutely lovely store and even better employees! so friendly and kind everytime I go in there and the store is packed with Pacific Northwest treasures

Yelp
HEAVEN ON EARTH! As soon as you walk in, so many wonderful smells fill your nose. Candles? Lotion? Flowers? I am not sure what it is but it is godly. Every nook and cranny of this market has so much to offer, little goodies and high quality food products galore. Most of the selections are local and fairly priced for it being ethically made. They have meats, a coffee area, beauty products, etc. I could spend all day in here exploring what they have. They even had local wines and beers. The employees were extremely kind and all had smiles on their faces. If I had to take an out of town guest to one Market in the area, this would be it. Cannot wait to back.

Yelp
I will never come here again or recommend to anyone. I've never been treated so rudely or experienced such bad customer service. It was almost 100 degrees today and I drove out to this farm market to purchase a bouquet of flowers for my son and wife who are currently in the hospital. I left my car running and ran inside with my little 5 pound puppy in my front sling pack. Flowers were right next to the cash register and they refused to sell them to me because "we don't allow dogs inside the store"

Yelp
I don't have the words for how much I love this place! All local goods, farm-fresh milk, eggs, and meat. Locally grown produce. FANTASTIC coffee bar using milk from a local farm and local coffee beans. A fire pit and plenty of room to sit outside. It's all amazing! Also, the nicest people run this place. Be sure to catch one of their outdoor markets!

Yelp
Beautiful farm store with seasonal offerings, fresh eggs, dairy, meats and gifts. There's a cafe and comfortable table seating outside. It's worth the stop for drinks and picking up fresh produce and specialty goods. Service was friendly and helpful. The store and grounds were well maintained and clean.

Jake P.

Yelp
I don't have enough words to describe this place. This gem is a must visit if you are passing through or looking for a new environment. Local wines & beers paired with amazing light bites and a farm fresh market to browse through. James and team will take amazing care of you, be sure to tell him Jake sent you down for a good time!

Yelp
OMG I LOVE THIS PLACE SO MUCH! Do not be deterred by Helvetia Market's a-bit-out-of-the-way-ness. If I lived closer, I would absolutely do the vast majority of my weekly grocery shopping here. I am still tempted to do it, though an hour and a half drive is maybe pushing it. You could really get anything you needed here, though with the caveat that you'll pay more than a traditional grocery store. But if it makes financial sense for you, Helvetia Farm Market is so worth supporting as they provide incredibly high quality, thoughtfully procured and well-made goods, a vast variety of which are local. Standouts for me include local Willamette Valley and TMK Creamery cheeses, duck and quail eggs, Honey Mama chocolate, Kachka Lavka vareniki, pasture raised beef and pork, a variety of Sungold Farms Cornmeal and many other grains. There are so many condiments and preserves, wines, cider, and other beverages. They had a great variety of sweets including many local chocolates. Even local handmade taffy! The produce section was quite large for a smaller store, and I adored the bunches of herbs wrapped with an edible flower. Like, what a tiny little touch that makes it feel so special! They serve coffee and tea, and had a sweet little bakery case (and, if I recall correctly, I think some bistro tables for enjoying your treats outside). Their front patio was covered in so many lovingly cared for annuals and perennials, plus they had a cute houseplant display and seeds inside. They also had a variety of home goods that would make great gifts. The employees were friendly, and I seriously just felt charmed the entire time (probably at least an hour - I didn't want to leave!) I was there.

Yelp
Such a cute local store! Always festive during the holidays and a cozy place to shop I love the local jams, honey, soaps, plants, gifts, and food. Has a little wine bar inside too, which has snacks and chocolates to go with your beer or wine. We sat out by the bonfire with our wine and chocolate
google avatar

Yelp
As local as it gets! Everything in the market is local and fresh. It's a cute little shop but if you're expecting reasonable prices, this is not the place for you. However, anything local shouldn't be discounted. Highly recommend grabbing some coffee or food at the cafe then going out the back doors to sit and chill with an amazing view

Yelp
A little neighborhood market with local produces and fresh baked goods. There are some picnic table, You can get a cup of coffee, a pint of beer, grab a bite and sit outside. It is fun place to visit, get some treats, some speciality items.

Yelp
I LOVE the seasonal Lattes and Chais here as well as their personable service! Ronnie and I usually pick up up local cheeses, whole coffee beans and local syrups here and are always pleased. I was coming here on the daily and had to cut down to weekly because my pockets and husband were wondering where all of my pocket money was going. We picked up a few succulents here as well as other local/artisan bath bombs, pastries and desserts. The local chickens are a hoot and like to follow you around while sit back on their many tables outside and watch the cows roam:)

Yelp
Kind of like an independent Whole Foods or New Seasons except that the people are actually kind and not snooty. Expect specialty items, not deals.
google avatar

Yelp
I've driven by here a couple times but I can't believe I haven't stopped in before now. Such an adorable little building stocked with local goods. They have a little bit of everything for everyone. Stop by when you have a few minutes to spare and grab some great local coffee, beer, cider, wine, pickles, pepper jelly assortments, spices, marinades, soaps, candles, popcorn variety, fresh fruit and veggies to go with your fresh farm raised poultry. Come check it out I promise you won't walk out empty handed!

Yelp
Nestled along a long winding road in rural Hillsboro there sits atop a slight crest of a hill the Helvetia Farm Market. It's vibrant red colored barn and storefront welcome you in as it sits on many acreage of land that are home to chickens, pigs and all things farm-like. It's a fancy place with fine wines and chocolates, freshly butchered meats, local produce and vegetables. You can find whimsical treats, freshly baked bread, espresso drinks, local crafts and a huge assortment of baking and cooking items. There is a large frozen section as well - plus dairy, cheeses and a small selection of bulk. The most important component is you won't find mainstream items like Nabisco or Pepsi products because this market fancies to support ONLY local businesses. You will find items from all over the Northwest as well as products from their very own neighbors who hand select, hand produce and deliver daily to ensure you're receiving the freshest selection. It's a match made in heaven. Did I mention their vast selection of potted plants, flowers and a variety of items for all your horticulture needs? It's safe for your family, social distancing and masks are required. There is plenty of room to shop and you just never know what special treasures you'll find as you peruse their aisles and shelves. Make sure you ask about what fresh meats and specials they have daily and feel free to take your coffee and sweat treat outside and sit in the porch overlooking the pastures. There's something for the whole family so make a day of it - take a drive out to the country and visit the Helvetia Farm Market. You'll be so glad you did.

Yelp
This market is a slice of heaven. I truly love visiting here! From the great pyrenees farm dogs, the amazing views, the salways telar music in the store, to the wonderful market itself . . . this place is my favorite get away when I need groceries and to destress.

Linda P.

Yelp
I live nearby. Offer variety of good products but their prices are way too high! For this reason, I don't shop there.

Julia F.

Yelp
We attended A Sparkling Pairing. This was an amazing event! I had a marvelous time, I learned a lot, made new friends AND came home with some lovely wines! Who could ask for more? Be sure to visit Wine Whisperer James Greenwood, he's a true wineducator!

Debbie R.

Yelp
What a wonderful go to place for all kinds of Oregon made items! My cart was full within minutes! Jams, jellies, cheese, wine, coffee....you name it it's there. And that's just the food and beverage part! Lovely jewelry, candles and home goods await you.....all you need is time. Staff is friendly and helpful. Tables outside where we could dine on our purchases. Very charming atmosphere as well.

Yelp
Love to take guests to this place for a sample of local products and a look at humane, eco-friendly farming practices.

Yelp
Such a cute place! Will definitely be returning. My experience with the staff was so warm and welcome. I'm primarily vegan, but had been grappling for months about craving eggs. So I decided to find a place where I could see the happy chickens and support local farmers instead of buying from large-scale farming and found this gem! There were some local items that I will be returning for once I've finished what I currently have. 10/10 would recommend giving this place a visit. They have beers, wines, sauces, fresh produce, house plants, outside plants, for those that want good-quality local meats, also there. Really just a good spot :)

Yelp
Love the fact they are supporting small local businesses and have such a great location to have a morning coffee or an evening beer. Golden hours are the best!!

Kate G.

Yelp
I used to love this place. The vegetables and meats were great. I loved the quiet atmosphere, cider, and cafe. I loved knowing exactly where my food came from and the animals were treated humanely. On Saturday while Oregon's mask mandate was still in force, they hosted an event. Lots of people weren't wearing masks indoors. When we asked why, the staff said they weren't allowed to ask people to put them on. It was then that we realized that Helvetia Farm Market didn't care. They don't care about employees. They don't care about their shoppers. They only care about extracting as much money as they can from you, consequences and law be damned. There are plenty of other places where you can shop local, shop organic, and find food just as good or better.

Yelp
This is my new favorite spot! Local produce, breads and meats. Amazing! Check it out for your holiday trays and gifts.

Yelp
Nice little country market with locally grown "real" food. Staff is extra friendly and helpful. They actually treat you like a real person. Very welcoming to everybody. Buy local, support local.
