We’ve made this particular farm an annual tradition. A real farm, with fragrant fields of lavender, fun artisan booths, good food and clean facilities. The drive there winds through farms dotted with barns and the occasional farm store. Worth the trip!

The property is excellent for children! I'm writing this review after visiting the Lavender Festival in July 2024, but we also got our Christmas Tree here in November 2023 as well. I've included photos from each in this review. The Lavender Festival was a delight, especially for our almost two year old daughter. There is a play area, plenty of food options, and fun vendors to walk around and see. I loved the lavender cold brew from Capitol Press Coffee Co. that definitely got me in the spirit. For $10 a person (and children free), we had a blast and would happily come back. For the tree farm, we loved the gift shop, Santa, the hot chocolate, and the trees, of course. While they had pre-cut, we appreciated the experience of picking out our own without a terrible amount of effort. Once you cut your tree, you tag it and leave it by the road and a tractor will pick it up and bring it to check out. This was the most beautiful and long lasting tree we've ever had. Highly recommend a stop out this way in both summer and winter!

We came for the lavender festival for the first time in early July 2024. It was so much fun! Plenty of food vendors, arts and crafts vendors, lavender by the bucketloads, live music, playground for kiddos, cooling area for hot summer days, pond with ducks, fun painted planters, flower gardens, playful sand and tiny planted dioramas ... and more. Definitely worth a visit.

Every year my family and I go here to attend the lavender festival and it’s that season once again. We went during the first weekend (7/1/23) and always gives me a sense of happiness when I see the beautiful lavender flowers. There are artisan vendors, food and music during the festival. I love the lavender scone and lemonade. You can buy pre-cut lavenders or u-cut. To attend the festival buy your tickets on-line. The ticket covers parking.

I’ve been coming to Helvetia Lavender Farm for years and have always loved it, but sadly, it’s gone downhill. I was especially looking forward to the lavender lemonade, it’s always been my favorite, but this year it didn’t taste like lavender at all. I checked the bottle and saw it was expired (July 2023). When I mentioned it to the staff, they initially told me I was wrong and said it was just mislabeled. But after checking the other bottles, they realized all of them were expired. They even tasted it themselves and admitted it didn’t have the lavender flavor it should. The biggest issue was that they just kept selling the expired bottles to other customers. I appreciate that they eventually acknowledged the issue, but I was disappointed with how it was handled and with the overall decline in quality this season. I hope they can get back to the standard they used to have, but for now, I won’t be returning.

Every season they host the lavender festival, our family has enjoyed visiting this place. Over the past two years, this place has really stepped up the lavender event with more vendors and activities for kids to enjoy. The kids activities are great and include a slide, fishing in a tub of water, and a nerf booth to knock down figurines. There is also a tractor to sit on and a tire swing. I'd recommend checking this place out if you're looking for a fun activity.

Fun and only $5 entry/parking fee. The live music was great and there were quite a few vendors. The lavendar picking was a first time experience for me. Only $8 for U-pick. I did this for a while, but it was a super hot day, so I went ahead and purchased a full pre-picked bunch for $12. Definitely worth a visit!

Google
There's a few good options but really not much. We found that the u-cut trees were actually much more dead than the pre-cut, and all the trees are really expensive at $40-$60. Douglass firs come cheapest at $40, the pre-cut are $50, and the u-cut are $60...for a mostly dead tree. We found one we're happy with, but there really wasn't much.

Yelp
Excellent day at the lavender festival. Lots of local crafts and yummies to partake from.or just look at. There were lots of beautiful works and fun things to do for the kids. After checking out the crafts (and purchasing some, of course), my daughter and I split a delicious lavender scone with some different lavender teas that were cooling and delightful in the warm afternoon sun. Then we went lavender snipping (it's not really picking) and brought home 2 wonderful smelling bunches. I highly recommend this for a nice afternoon with family or even to spend some zen time alone! The smell sends you to another planet!

Yelp
It's a beautiful place filled with lavender flowers and Christmas trees. The fresh lavender smells amazing, and the colors are stunning. You can have a great time with U-cut lavender activities. The lavender festival is a blast, featuring talented musicians playing delightful music and charming shops offering unique items to explore and purchase.

Yelp
This is a review for the Christmas tree shopping experience. Went during their last hour on the last day they were scheduled to be open, so that might explain why the selection was a bit disappointing at least compared to other farms in the area that we've patronized in years past. Nice range of sizes, tho nothing too tall (which is not what I was looking for, so could have been blinded to that) Prices were as advertised online -- $45 for Doug Fir (of which we saw maybe two scrawny specimens) and $60 for the others. Of any size. Plus $5 to bale it up, but their machine did get it nice and compact. What really irked me was that none of the guys working there knew anything about the trees. Couldn't identify the species for us. Didn't get a chance to experience any of the extras like Santa or whatever they might've been selling under their tent, which, again and like the big big trees, was not our reason for the visit.

Yelp
What a great little farm!! Went to cut lavender and I'm in love with their event space. It's adorable, well placed, full of color and great vibes. They had a lovely variety of booths that are set here and there so you get to wander happily, fun food vendors, live music, and the will I had to exert to keep from buying even more plants starts than I did was monumental. I'm disappointed it seems they have more Christmas trees than lavender these days, they still had plenty in four varieties that were hardy and well priced for u-cut (especially if you cut neurotically like I do). The property is set in a lovely locale, parking is easy, the price for entry to the event couldn't be beat, and little touches like the distilling demonstration and wishing pond are a really sweet addition. The shade provided by their big trees where the booths are is also a big plus in the July heat. Kid friendly, the whole experience was easy. There's a winery right next door and we will definitely be back next year given the opportunity.

Yelp
Just a few days ago, I went here and was very disappointed. I went to pick up a Christmas tree, and barely anything was left. All the trees were tiny and sad-looking, and on top of that, it was hard to get to, and the road wasn't very nice. It is a cute place to go to, but unfortunately, I had a horrible experience.

Yelp
We came here for the lavender festival. I thought the $5 admission fee was reasonable, given that they have to manage crowds and parking. It was a cute little fair with some lavender focused vendors and a small lavender plot to do u-pick or pre-cut bundles from. They also had live music. While it's fun to go if you're already out in Hillsboro, I wouldn't make the trip out of its more than 10-15 minutes, since it is a small venue. We also came on the last time slot of the last day, so it was a little disappointing to find that the scones were sold out, but ice cream, kombucha, and lavender lemonade were still available. Come earlier if you want scones The ice cream was amazing - just enough lavender without feeling like soap. Overall, a decent excursion on the Hillsboro side of town. If you plan accordingly you can even go to Helvetia winery, which is definitely worth it.

Yelp
Absolutely wonderful! An afternoon well spent amongst the fragrance of Lavender. How delighted we were to get off the beaten path, and find our way out to this perfectly detailed property. You can only imagine how pleased I was to walk in, and find the one, and only Sig Paulson playing music. This Oregon legend is one of the best musicians one could hope to find! Nice work getting him up the road for your festival. Lavender is most commonly used in aromatherapy, for calming and anxiety reduction purposes. Amongst the smell of Lavender and the sounds of Sig I found myself very relaxed, and seemed as though most others were as well. The play area for the kids is great! They were able to test their aim at the Nurf gallery, and simulate fishing in a fun, safe environment. Best part is the fish aren't real so I didn't have to clean them. Many amazing artist booths are set up at this festival. I can't remember the last time I was able to watch some one blow glass. Simply mind boggling the talent of Lawrence Eichman. Annie and her Polynesian jewelry made me feel like I was back at the street fair in Kapaa, Kauai. Nice to get some aloha here on the Main Land! Lavender Lemonade is down right delicious if you ask me. Make sure you get a glass next year.

Yelp
Went up to the Lavender Farm Festival and it was a great time. Located out in the back roads of Helvetia, OR, beautiful view yonder, and lavender everywhere. The only thing I complained about was having to walk slight up hill most the time (it really wasn't that bad)- They have closer parking for handicap. Only for a weekend in the summer, it Cost $5-8 to get in, you can get tickets online. All different type of lavender everywhere and information on the different kinds. There were different vendors and music going. They had everything lavender for sale, and even lavender scones and lemonade to eat- yum! Also a u-pick where it was as much as you could fit around a tie for $7. We had a really nice time - and the smelllll - very relaxing. Highly recommend visiting!

Yelp
The lavender field is tiny! I wasn't expecting a lot from the lavender festival and I was still surprised by how small the field was and how pointless the festival aspect was. Basically, we were there less than an hour and we spent as much time as I think you could. It wasn't worth the time to drive from SW Portland.

Pam N.

Yelp
Unimpressed. There is inadequate signage and you end up in their yard. Which by the way has an enormous amount of beautiful lavender. But before I picked I wanted to check price and see where to pay. Nobody is around... anywhere.... crickets. I'm just leaving after waiting 15 minutes past opening time, when a young gentleman drives by finally. When asked where to go he points up the hill and says follow that road, and off he goes the other direction. I don't even see a road or a sign? I followed his directions and wound around back on the main road where I finally see a sign. And a very very small field of lavender that's way past its prime for $8 a bunch. I guess there was a festival at some point this month. Hope it was a better time than I had today.

Yelp
Lovely place to shop for lavender products and their prices are very reasonable. I bought 5 large bouquets of lavender for 25.00! Definitely come to this place for all your lavender needs! Plus the shop is just a relaxing place to be for an afternoon.

Yelp
What an absolute treat! I had never been to a Lavender Farm in my life. Loved it. Got some lavender preserves, lavender shortbread and lavender granola. Also, hubby bought me some beautiful earrings. Loved all the little booths with a variety of goodies to take home. Beautiful property. Pretty crowded but we were able to find parking right smack in the front of the entrance - not sure how that happened! The parking attendants were very organized. Great fun for the Grandkids. Just $5 bucks to pick a nice size bunch of lavender and they also had this little area for them to play. Absolutely loved it!

Yelp
We came here to find a Christmas tree! They are 100% a u-cut location, so when you first get in, you fill out a tag with your name on it and grab a hand saw. If it's a wet day, I would bring a blanket or towel as ground cover during the cutting. Once you select a tree, you drag it to the nearest road / path, and someone will pick it up to be baled, shaken, and deposited in an area for pickup. All trees were $52 this year, and they took credit cards. You pay inside of the gift shop, and they give you a card with a hole punch indicating that you've paid. I really liked the fact that they had a Santa available for pictures with your own camera! They also had some animals, including some adorable piglets and a baby cow. Minus 1 star because they advertised trees up to 10 ft but it was pretty challenging to find trees on the taller side. We finally succeeded and found a great one, but the tall tree options were pretty limited.

Yelp
A lovely Lavender Farm with quaint gardens that are filled with imagination, art and creativity. I've visited this farm during the Oregon Lavender Festival a few times in the past few years. During the festival you'll find friendly people, live music, sweet vendors and lavender scones served with fresh cream and berries. The gardens are a pleasure to explore and each visit brings a new discovery. As far as lavender, well there are plenty of options for you to take in home in all of it's various forms from fresh to culinary, from cookies to lavender lemonade. I highly recommend a visit it's easy to find and a bit hard to leave.

Yelp
This place is the bee's knees! I discovered it during the Oregon Lavender Festival. My neighbor and I had been swearing for 5 years that "We'll go this year!" Well, we finally did and what a treat this place was. The lavender section is open from early June to early July serving tea, giving garden tours, and u-cut lavender by appointment. The season culminates with the Lavender Festival (1st weekend in July) which includes culinary treats like lavender lemonade, lemon lavender shortbread and others. You can cut lavender, make a wreath or wand, buy lavender products, or browse the tents of local artists and food vendors. Oh, and live music too. I haven't been to the Christmas Tree section yet, but I plan to this year. According to the owner, it opens on Black Friday and features wreaths, u-cut trees (shaken and baled, not stirred) a gift shop, Lionel and Lego trains, and hot cider. A special Enchanted Evening date includes special touches like a covered wagon pulled by a pair of draft horses. I can't wait to check that out!

Yelp
We visited Helvetia Lavender Farms before the big festival weekend. What a beautiful setting! The owners were very sweet and very helpful. They have a cute gift shop with sweet miniature fairy gardens and lavender products, a relaxing pond with ducks, a tea pavilion with a fabulous view of the farmlands and of course row after row of wonderful lavender varieties you can pick for yourself. As you approach the farm, watch for all the alpaca grazing in the neighboring farm fields.

Yelp
We got turn down today and made us soooo happy. They don't allow dogs not even in the car. So we came out. It's fine their business their rules. But that made us found a hidden gem 500 feet away. And we paid half price for tree we normally get from this place every year. Just don't turn right on to the dirt road. Keep going on helvetia, and on left side look for tannenbaum platz. Amazing price! Few few people work here include owners but so nice. Perfect Christmas tree. Happy holidays!

Yelp
Fun place to bring the kid and cut down a tree. Lots of cool things in the gift shop too. They have lots of beautiful wreaths too.

Yelp
We really wanted to like this place. Our family LOVES Christmas time but for some reason has never been able to find a Christmas tree farm that we can build a tradition around. We try a new one every year and this year we tried Helvetia. The good news is that Helvetia has a lot going on and the trees are in really great shape. We are happy with the tree we wound up with and found most of the options to be pretty great. However, the entire experience was super hectic and a little too much for us. All of the activities are compressed together in the parking lot so there was a lot of navigating between cars pulling in and out of parking spaces while trying to get the kids to each activity. It turned into us constantly yelling at the kids to watch out for cars, tractors, and other people instead of enjoying the holiday festivities. Overall, it was way too stressful for us and we likely won't be going back because of it.

Yelp
Must visit place if you are in love with everything about lavender! Beautifully located, warm people around and peaceful and therapeutic environment.

Yelp
Lovely location couldn't imagine a nicer way to spend a day. Strolling around this beautiful farm enjoying music, food, local art and all types of lavender items.

Yelp
This place is a "must do" when touring during lavender festival weekend. I had been here once during off time. Not much to see or do then, but during festival weekend it is a delightful place. They have a small garden area, a small lavender u-pick area, lots of festival artists and vendors, Christmas trees on their valley hill, and alpacas. They even had a small tea deck for a lavender luncheon with scones, jam, berries, and tea. I tried bakery samples, bought a lavender magnet for my fridge, ate a lavender coconut macaroon cookie, and tried their lavender lemondade. I wished I would have done the scone and tea party, but my friends didn't seem that interested. The alpacas were fun, and they had some visiting ones that you could observe and visit with. I liked this place so much that I actually called my parents and told them to check it out too. They also liked the festival. Get here early though since the later it is the more crowded and hotter the atmosphere can get. I have a beautiful time.

Yelp
What a beautiful little farm! Many varieties of lavender in two U-pick sections. White, pink, and purple lavender, of all different lengths. The section near the entrance is only slightly sloped and has more varieties, so I cut my bouquet from there. The section further toward the back is more steeply sloped and seems to have only two varieties. There are some cool vendors with unique gifts and plants to sell, and the scones at the Tea and Scones tent are delicious. The parking is extremely well-organized, so you don't have to struggle to find a spot or figure out where to go. They have porta potties with a handwashing station. The views are gorgeous. We didn't stay to get the burgers they apparently grill on-site; we went to Helvetia Tavern, which is just down the road. I like this farm better than the Willamette Valley Lavender Festival, because this one has long-stemmed varieties as opposed to one single short-stemmed type. That makes more beautiful cut bouquets. Arrive early so you can get a good parking spot, because people LOVE this farm!

Yelp
No a huge selection of trees, the train sets are great though! They have precut trees in water, or you can cut your own. A shot but fun tractor ride for kids.. The gift shop is quaint and has a nice selection, and Santa is there on the weekends

Yelp
We cut our Xmas tree here and had a awesome day, pictures with Santa, toasting marshmallows and very nice customer service!!! I recommend getting you tree here!
