Contemporary French-Italian cuisine, creative desserts, wine pairings

"This restaurant, whose name is a nod to the nearby Assemblée Nationale, sports a minimalist interior that mixes marble, 1970’s furnishings and Lalique light fittings. The savoury score is the work of Italian chef Flavio Lucarini (from Bistrot Flaubert and Jérôme Banctel’s Gabriel), while Aurora Storari (former head pastry chef at Le Clarence) is in charge of desserts. The chef's cuisine is certainly Gallic, but personal and subtly Italian thanks to acidic, bitter notes, as in the watercress risotto and squid alla Luciana with black lemon powder, or pigeon, cherry kosho, the leg as a tempura, crispy aubergine raviolo. Aurora’s creative desserts demonstrate bags of personality, illustrated by plum confit with hibiscus and sesame crème brûlée." - Michelin Inspector

"It's been a busy year for this Parisian restaurant, which was awarded its first Star by The MICHELIN Guide Inspectors and also saw a Passion Dessert award for its young Head Pastry Chef Aurora Storari. Originally from Rome, the creative talent has been developing original culinary creations that perfectly complement those of Flavio Lucarini, her partner at the helm of the Hémicycle kitchen." - The MICHELIN Guide

"Hémicycle, one of the most popular eateries in the capital, is crafted by Chef Flavio Lucarini with food underscored by flawless technique." - The MICHELIN Guide

"Headed by Italian couple Flavio Lucarini and Aurora Storari, this spot on the other side of the Seine turns gastronomic norms on their head." - Le Guide MICHELIN

"At Hémicycle (new star restaurant), the duo – and real-life couple – of Flavio Lucarini (savoury) and Aurora Storari (desserts) achieve harmony with their creative ‘cuisine d'auteur’." - Le Guide MICHELIN
