This restaurant is on the third floor of a hotel and has both indoor and outdoor (rooftop) seating. We chose the outdoor seating and there was a group there playing Caribbean music (which concluded at ~7:30 pm).
As we've been to Puerto Rico a few times, I would say that this similar (nominally Cuban) food was reasonably good, authentic, and served with good sized portions.
We started with the "Empanadas de Res" (minced beef turnovers). They were tasty, but lukewarm.
I had the "Vaca Frita" (literally fried cow) which was a reasonably tasty shredded skirt steak with pink, pickled, sliced onion on top. I chose Congri (rice and beans) and Maduros (sweet fried plantains) as my sides.
My wife had the "Camarones con Coco" (Jumbo shrimp sauteed with mild peppers in an annatto colored coconut sauce served over rice) which was fine, however, the waitress upsold her an unnecessary ($4.00) side of dry "Cuban Bread", "for dipping", however, there wasn't enough sauce in the entree to dip the bread into, and as the bread was dry, with no butter, it went uneaten.
Service was okay, cocktails are expensive and they charged us $9.00 for a virgin Pina Colada (i.e. with no alcohol). That was only two dollars less than my (made with rum) Mojito. When I questioned the cost, for what was basically just some fruit juice with a wedge of pineapple, they said it was correct!?
We would probably go here again, but be aware of the drink costs and the upsell.
