"A boutique Nairobi hotel opened in 2021 by Anna Trzebinski (who originally built it with her late husband as a family home in 1992) that aims to be more than a place to sleep by actively connecting visitors to the city’s creative scene through on-site events and customized art-immersion experiences. Run by a German-born, Kenya-raised fashion designer with deep arts-world connections, the property retains a private-estate feel across four tree-shaded acres and nine rooms, many featuring canopy beds hand-carved by artisans inspired by Lamu Island. The interiors mix antique decor with contemporary African paintings and sculptures from the proprietor’s personal collection and incorporate Samburu and Maasai artifacts, while guides for gallery openings, screenings, and concerts are often drawn from the owner’s creative circle rather than professional tour operators." - Jennifer Flowers

Our experience here was fantastic! The staff was incredibly warm, welcoming and attentive. The accommodations were chic and comfortable. Every meal we had was better than the next. Jackton, was a fantastic waiter and we so enjoyed getting to know him with each meal. We truly loved it here and will be back!

Everything was lovely. We had a family dinner here and we couldn't fault a single thing. Food was up to par, Sophie was the best - she took care of us and made sure we were having a good time. Ambience is calm and intimate, just perfect. We'll definitely be coming back and staying a bit longer this time around.

Our family had an awful experience with the airlines getting to Kenya. Our stay was wonderful at this property! Sophie was outstanding at the restaurant and we were able to experience a sundowner. The staff is very accommodating and helpful.

Amazing curation of fruits, vegetables, meats and floral arrangements. Cooked to perfection, elegantly prepared, and the best staff. A true gem of an establishment, this was by far the best experience we have had in Nairobi, and can rival any place anywhere in the world. First class all the way

The restaurant was amazing. Their decor was so warm and cozy. It felt like being in a friend's living room. I loved the food and the service as well. Very friendly and professional staff. I will definitely be back again, probably doe a staycation.

Worth adding to your To Do list for Nairobi. Beautiful tranquil space that's great for disconnecting. It is a little far out if you're just going for a meal or to shop. Consider an overnight stay. Space is uniquely designed with lovely art pieces.

Lovely stay - the quality of the rooms, the food was excellent. The staff were just superb. All in all I would recommend this hotel to all couples, friends and family looking for a exceptional experience.

The location, ambience and service was superb. The food however, did not meet expectations,hence the 3 stars. We ordered from the ala carte menu, would definitely try again if they had different options just because of the venue.
