The service we received at the restaurant would have been appalling had it happened in KFC or Burger king, let alone in one of the most expensive restaurants in Nairobi.
They had a total of 1 waitress in the entire restaurant, who tried her absolute best. However, with around 25 customers in the entire restaurant it just wasn't enough. We were a table of 8, so not exactly a huge table.
We were seated where we ordered after about 30minutes. The starters took over 45minutes to arrive. The mains from when the starters were removed took over 1 hour and 10minutes.
Had we not been with friends, we'd have gotten up and left the service was that bad.
The food that arrived, was presented well, but lacked any form of flavour or seasoning, the meat was as tough as a boot and to top it off, from the first main arriving to the last was over 15 minutes. This resulted in half of the day finishing there meal before others had even received it. The place is too focused on delivering the food with a a silver lid, than getting it to your table efficiently.
The only save and grace of the entire evening, was that we were with friends and had good company, but the restaurant itself I wouldn't recommend it to my nemesis.
If I was involved in Hemmingway's, I'd look to cut ties with anyone involved in this operation. For one of the biggest hospitality companies in the world the service of this restaurant was the WORST experience I have ever had eating anywhere in the world.
