Hendrix Restaurant

Had an absolutely amazing experience eating here the other night. Finally, there's another restaurant in Columbia that I want to go back to. Definitely will be going back again. The Deviled Eggs Appetizer is a must have, and over all it was a great dining experience with great food and service. Highly recommend!

Atmosphere here is great. The food was excellent. I ordered the short ribs which was served over mashed sweet potatoes. Salad was fresh. My son had the roasted chicken and beef tartar. The portion sizes were great.

Our overall visit was great. Friendly and attentive wait- staff. Enjoyable environment. The food was delicious and served quickly. A definite return. Our most recent visit all aspects of our visit remained the same except my food experience. The half chicken was very dry and very charred. They quickly remeided the situation. Again, our waitress was amazing and very friendly.

Great for our group! Our waitress took fabulous care of us and was super knowledgeable about the menu! Highly recommend for a drink and a laugh!

Drinks, appetizers, and three of four mains courses were great and flavorful. The porch chop I ordered was completely raw on the rib end. Not noticed until after I ate the tenderloin. When I brought it to the attention of our previously very nice waitresses, she flipped. The manager offered to correct my meal. I said to just bring me a cooked steak and everything would be fine. They brought me a 4-once piece of strip steak then charged me for the entire New York Strip meal, but took off the chop meal ($5 increase). In hindsight, I should’ve just said to reduce the price of my pork chop meal by half. We were more disappointed by our nice waitress snapping at us than the raw chop. We realize mistakes happen. It was just sad that we had such a fun time talking with her before that. In all fairness, we’ve been here once before and received wonderful food with great customer service.

We went to Hendrix for a girls night. The atmosphere is nice, the service was great, and the drinks are delicious. I recommend the Fade to Black. 😉 The food was pretty good. I ordered the brussel sprouts, salmon and quinoa salad, and mushroom toast. The brussel sprouts were by far the best dish. The mushroom toast was very tasty, but the texture and look of the mushrooms threw me off. The salmon was cooked perfectly, though there was a lot more quinoa than salad. I was expecting a salad with a little quinoa, not the other way around. That is not a negative against the food, because I still ate it! 😄

Not sure what we were getting ourselves into, while visit Columbia, we saw the sign for the rooftop bar and figured we’d give it a shot. Sure glad we did. Loved the vibe up there. Not really a complaint, more of a comment, they only had (2) bartenders working, and a bar-back and the place was packed. From a patrons perspective, a 3rd bartender and/or a servers roving and taking drinks from those at the couches would have been great. From a business perspective, no doubt more drinks and food could have been sold. However, they might do that and we just got them a night where they were down people. Beyond some extended waits at the bar for drinks, the service was great the drinks were greats and the ambiance was great. Views were lacking, but ya can’t have everything. We’d totally go back, without a doubt!

First time at Hendrix. Met done friends for Happy Hour and then we stayed for dinner. Great cocktails, burger was amazing, lots of great small plates and salads. Overall enjoyed it very much.
