Best Restaurants in Columbia, South Carolina | Eater Carolinas

"There is no greater joy than spending a warm summer evening sipping a Hendrix Spritz on the rooftop bar before heading downstairs to grab a table for dinner. Homegrown and high-end come together under chef Frank Bradley. The menu is stacked with ingredients from local farms, and even the most simple-sounding dishes will dazzle. For example, the blistered shishito peppers — a fairly standard appetizer, but Bradley serves them over a rich and inventive street corn-inspired puree." - Helen Harrison

Best Cocktail Bars in Columbia, South Carolina | Eater Carolinas

"Hendrix is upstairs, and its rooftop bar is another floor up, but the bourbon selection at the bar (and cocktails on the roof) make the step count worthwhile. Chef Frank Bradley is in the kitchen at Hendrix after years at Bourbon. His plates continue to be centered on what’s produced in the Midlands, from field peas to quail, and pair well cocktails made with hand-squeezed juice and housemade shrubs." - Stephanie Burnette

Absolutely enjoyed our time here! The place is really nice and perfect for a dinner date! I am very pleased with the food! We ordered oysters, mussels, pork belly deviled eggs, and the cheese board, and I will say everything was just perfect! Totally would recommend this place to anyone who enjoys great food and great drinks! Our server, Emilee did a phenomenal job taking care of us!

Tonight was my first time dining at Hendrix and it was an awesome experience. Mekenzie was phenomenally outstanding as our waitress tonight. From start to finish, she did an impeccable job. The food, from the appetizers to dessert AH-MA-ZING-AH!!! I really enjoyed myself with my friends tonight at Hendrix.

Google
Great American fusion restaurant. Their menu includes dishes that take inspiration from around the world. My favorites were the spicy lamb naan and Peri Peri Chicken. Our server was great and very patient with our large group. Prices were expectedly high, and I'd definitely come back if I come back to Colombia!

High end, very tasty food and cocktails. Nice rooftop bar. Our server was excellent and we will be back.

We ordered the blue crab hush puppies and they were phenomenal! So, we thought we would keep the seafood crab vibe going and ordered the soft crab sandwich. Oh my gosh!! Why did we do that! I am from Beaufort, SC so I have grown up eating blue crabs and the likes. I must commend this restaurant on the idea to serve a whole crab sandwich; might I add shells included. This was not and is not a good choice on their menu. We basically purchased the part of the crab people throw away. I would not recommend the soft crab sandwich unless you crave soft shells. To a better note: the service was awesome and atmosphere is perfect for a romantic night.

Google
When I say one of the best places to go in Columbia, I mean that. From the atmosphere to the food, and the service from the staff was Top Tier. This is definitely my new go to place. My wife enjoyed her birthday dinner and all of the drinks was superb 👌. Just know I'll always support especially if my favorite waiter "Mary" I think that was her name is there...Thanks again for a great experience.

Google
The staff were pleasant. We were disappointed with the portion size (online photos) made portions appear larger than they actually were. I had the CHF Bone-in Pork Chop, and my spouse had the Grass fed NY Strip. He stated it lacked flavor and was tough to have been NY Strip. My pork chop was good alongside the potatoes. It was nice to have experienced a new restaurant. However, we agreed that we would not be returning. If you're looking for a nice restaurant with a superb ambiance, this is your place.

Google
Sooooooo good! Best food & drinks on Main St. Get the hush puppies, you won’t regret it! Perfect spot for a rooftop hangout when the weather’s right and some of the best downtown views you’ll get. Laid back vibes and awesome service. Will be back repeatedly!

Yelp
In town on business and decided to check this place out. Started out for happy hour with our clients at the rooftop bar. Very nice up there, very nice vibe the seating areas were very comfortable, and the bartenders were very attentive and quick with getting out our drinks. I tried the Hometown Honey and it was very good! Well balanced drink and not overpowering. The dining room for dinner was also very relaxing and welcoming. Our table shared an appetizer and we had the blue crab hushpuppies. They were very good, not crumbly and the aioli was delicious. For dinner I had the steamed PEI mussels. Do not think that because it's under shared/small plates that it's a small serving. It is enough for a meal! The crispy bread was perfect to dip in the juices of the dish. And they were cooked perfectly, very tender, the flavors were amazing and not hard or rubbery. I was deciding on this or the braised short rib and I was not disappointed! Two people at our table ordered it and also said it was amazing and we all ate everything on our plates so that is a good sign! Would definitely come here again and kudos to our server (forgot her name) she was spot on with recommendations and her service was top tier. She even took a picture of our table for us!

Yelp
Went to Hendrix about a week ago for a birthday party! I was honestly amazed that they were able to seat our reservation for 21. I feel like there aren't many nice restaurants that are able to accommodate a group that size. I ended up getting the deviled eggs as an app and then the NY Strip over grits and brussel sprouts as my main. Absolutely worth every penny. Everyone I went with loved their food as well so there were no complaints. Service was also great. For it being a nicer restaurant I would alot 2 hours if you're getting the full dinner experience. It's not slow service but rather slower paced and un rushed. Which is a preference of mine! Subjective to everyone. But like I said we had a large group so I thought timing was adequate.
google avatar

Erika W.

Yelp
We stopped by for dinner. They were not able to seat us. We went upstairs to enjoy the roof top. It was a fun atmosphere. We left early as the bar tenders didn't want to give us water with ice. We were told they have a water station so...however we were ordering drinks. It wasn't busy:

Yelp
Went here for a birthday dinner and really enjoyed it. My boyfriend loved his Old Fashioned and said it's one of his favorites here in Columbia. The food was also flavorful as the Short Rib was really delicious. Overall, I would definitely check it out again!

Yelp
Open air, 3rd story bar in the spring is wonderful. Full bar, covered deck tables, couches for more comfortable seating. Great rooftop pavilion. I will tell you that Hendrix is real proud of their drink pricing higher than average for the area with similar pour quality. With that said, still a great spot for a mid-day/afternoon or evening chill spot once the weather warms!!! Check it out.
google avatar

Yelp
The drinks were delicious!!! The espresso martini is amazing!! The vibes were perfect for girls night!!!! Service was amazing as always!

Yelp
I have been here in the past and thoroughly enjoyed my food. The vibe is always laid-back.  I went on a Saturday evening, and the service was great. We had reservations, which we made on the website. The hostesses were pleasant. Our server was personable as well. We ordered the NY after midnight cocktail, somewhere between a manhattan and old fashioned. It was good to me. We also had the cocktail; I can't remember the name, but it had Grey Goose, Prosecco, and rose water. It was delicious. It was also refreshing. In addition, we had two lemon drops. They were pretty tasty as well. All of the cocktails had an alcohol presence but were balanced very well.  The food was enjoyable. We started with the blue crab hush puppies. They were okay. They had a strong crab flavor but needed something else to elevate the flavor. The Shimeji mushroom burger was delicious. I loved the flavor, the cheese, and the black garlic mornay sauce. My husband ordered the ribeye main, and I ordered the Ny Strip. I switched my Brussels sprouts with the appetizer Brussels sprouts. I enjoyed my steak, the grits, and the Brussels sprouts. It was all so flavorful, and they complimented each other well. I did taste my husband's ribeye with the pepper sauce and the roasted cauliflower and broccoli. It was so good to me. I was surprised. I'm ordering that next time. I am grateful for this great dining experience.

Yelp
Perfect little rooftop restaurant! The drinks & food were everything I wanted. The service was friendly & speedy considering how busy it was. This is definitely the spot to go if you're wanting a bite to eat, drinks, & some photo worthy views!

Alana D.

Yelp
Great food and atmosphere. On a nice day it will be tough to get a spot in the rooftop, but the normal bar is a comfortable place to eat and drink as well. The best deviled eggs and a great ribeye!
google avatar

Yelp
Hendrix is a true gem in the downtown area. The ambience of the restaurant is wonderful. The service is excellent and then you have the amazing food and drinks. We ordered two appetizers. The Crispy Brussel sprouts, absolutely delicious, sweet and tangy very crispy and nutty and some of the best we've ever tried. We also tried the Blue crab hush puppies fantastic. The entrée we tried was spicy lamb, which was sensational. I'm not a lamb lover, this is my husband's favorite protein but it was perfectly seasoned, and perfectly cooked. I'll definitely have this again. We also had the mushroom burger. The mushrooms were so succulent very well seasoned the meat was sensational, fantastic burger definitely a go to. For drinks I had the Gin and Tonic with Hendrix gin, refreshing and smooth! This is now one of our favorite places.
google avatar

Kristie N.

Yelp
Great food great environment. As others have said-the servings are very small for the price, but the food is good!
google avatar

Zakiya D.

Yelp
This place has an interesting take on food combinations. I had the blue crab hush puppies, grass-fed NY strip with gouda grits (I substituted the Brussel sprouts for brocoli and cauliflower), and for dessert I had the sponge cake with cinnamon ice cream. The food was ok, but not good enough to make me want to return. The staff was friendly, and the waitress was very knowledgeable of the menu options. Also, they don't have a parking lot, so it is difficult getting parking on a Saturday night.
google avatar

Demitri L.

Yelp
So I've tried to get in here about three times, and no fault of anyone's but my own, my schedule was always wrong. However I finally got in here to try it! With a welcoming atmosphere and modern industrial design, the ambiance and aesthetic are very pleasing. They hold a main dining area and bar for dinner service, and then an upstairs rooftop bar for cocktails and small plates. I went with a few friends and they always rave about the food. We started off with the beef tartare. Delicious, warm, and the bread was the perfect pairing for the appetizer. Best tartare in town if I'm honest. After that I got the grass fed NY strip steak, with flash fried Brussels and stone ground grits, topped with a chimichurri sauce that melted into the meat for flavor. Last we did their tiramisu for dessert. This was good, but it could've had a little more coffee flavor! The service was decent. They were really busy and we did have a 4 person table, so our service was a little slow but nothing too crazy! A must check out if you want finer food but casual atmosphere!

Yelp
This is the opposite of my review of yesterday, which means, yesterday based on the reviews I expected a mediocre meal and it was excellent. Hendrix was totally opposite, based on the reviews I expected a great meal and it was terrible. My husband ordered the steak and it was tough, I ordered the salmon salad, the salmon was dry, the salad horrible, they paired ingredients that didn't pair well and it was very bitter. The restaurant itself was very cute and clean. The service was good also. Unfortunately we came here for a great meal and the ambiance and service couldn't make up for wasting our money on a truly lousy meal.
google avatar

Samantha S.

Yelp
Hendrix was the perfect date night spot. The waiter was very knowledgeable of the menu and made great recommendations. The restaurant offers indoor and rooftop seating. The rooftop seating is first come first served with its own bar. The wait time to receive drinks from bar was a tad bit long. Overall, great dining experience
google avatar

Kezaira W.

Yelp
Great service! Aliyah was amazing! The ambiance was wonderful per usual. The food was flavorful and definitely worth ordering again. The only thing I wasn't excited about was the expresso old fashion. The rest was right on time and absolutely worth telling friend to come here. Be prepared to climb a few steps .
google avatar

Yelp
This gem is beautiful! You wouldn't be able to tell it from the street, but this holds a gem. You go upstairs from Main Street to the restaurant and then up another flight of stairs to the rooftop bar. I made a reservation for 3 and one person dropped so I emailed to make sure that this was handled properly and the FOH manager emailed me back and took great care of me. I saw him when I arrived and he was just as pleasant in person. Now to the food and drinks. The hometown honey was delicious! My friend and I ordered two. Everything was cooked very well and exquisitely displayed. I will definitely be back to this place. Next time if weather is pretty, I'll be on the rooftop! Cheers!
google avatar

Justine D.

Yelp
A+ food, fun and different craft cocktail options. We sat at the roof top bar, which even in the SC heat was comfortable with the fans they had. It's also well shaded. As the night went on the night turned into a whole new vibe. Highly recommend the Brussels sprouts. If you prefer fine dining and air condition, the down stairs seating is more elegant, great for a date night.
google avatar

Lester L.

Yelp
Hendrix was highly recommended to us and glad we went! The place is gorgeous with ample seating. It is on second floor of building with lots of stairs which can be an issue for those with physical limitations. The rooftop isn't as big as the main floor but it had plenty of seating with a covered bar. The bartenders were very skilled and friendly. They were making speciality drinks the whole time. The food is delicious but the menu is not as big or diverse as other places.
google avatar

Desiree R.

Yelp
Always one of our favorites in Columbia. Definitely can't go wrong with the mushroom toast, Brussels or oysters. We love getting a bunch of small plates and handcrafted drinks. A must try.
google avatar

Marchaan F.

Yelp
Hendrix is by far, the best spot in Columbia. No comparison. It has everything: a bar, a restaurant, outdoor patio, rooftop bar, dance floor. Service was friendly and quick. The rooftop was the perfect ending to a fulfilling night, next to the fire table and heat lamps with great music.
google avatar

Jessica J.

Yelp
The views was nice, the live music could've been better. The food was 10/10. The oysters, hotdog and drinks were amazing. The meatballs were so good I'm sure me and my date both secretly wanted to fight over the third one . Service was great even though we went at the end of the night. I can't wait to go back. Everything on the table was delicious. TikTok: https://www.tiktok.com/t/ZTN6sY4FH/

Yelp
We've been to Hendrix several times recently and had great experiences with friendly service. Must try: spicy tuna rice bowl (off the menu for the season, I think), brussel sprouts, deviled eggs Good quality beef for the tartare and the quail egg makes it. They had an off-menu stuffed focaccia that I wouldn't get again. Spa water and hometown honey cocktails were good, but felt a bit cheated on a simple Moscow mule.

Christine D.

Yelp
Excellent service from the rooftop staff. Very friendly atmosphere. Great food, recommend the Brussels sprouts and shishito peppers.
google avatar

John S.

Yelp
Well, Hendrix is my favorite place in Columbia SC! I always order the half chicken and old fashion! They never let me down, always fresh and delicious. Their sides are fantastic. After dinner the rooftop is the place to be. The service in the restaurant is excellent the rooftop bar could be better....the bartender just simply don't care. You should go and enjoy the place.
google avatar

Maritza R.

Yelp
Outstanding! We went to Hendrix so we could experience the pizza on the rooftop! It was super cute until the rain came but that was all us! We ended up taking our pizza into the restaurant and ordered two shareable plates. The service was excellent. The ambiance was great. We really enjoyed our food and will be back!
google avatar

Lanetra J.

Yelp
We went for dinner but decided to enjoy appetizers at the Rooftop Bar! The panoramic view of downtown Columbia was lovely. We ordered a couple of drinks along with a couple of apps. Both were just ok. I would go back just for the view fans maybe try dinner.

Yelp
First time here. As you walk in you will need to go up a flight of stairs...this is the main area. There is a nice bar with an open industrial look. There are various pieces of art on the wall which are interesting and eclectic. We sat at the bar and had simple drinks.. they definitely we're not watered down. The staff was attentive and made good suggestions. So we had some simple plates to share and we started with the tuna tataki and the crab salad sandwich. The tuna tataki was absolutely fantastic with a super fresh taste along with a avocado hummus and some pickled cucumbers with a little peppery kick. The crab salad sandwich reminded me of a lobster roll from New England....while the crab was fresh, it had a little too much mayo for me... And interestingly it came with a strip of bacon. And for our final shareable plate we went with the burrata and pear dish. Now typically I would probably get this to start with however, simply by accident , we finished with this. In my opinion this cleansed the palate and was quite tasty to finish the eating portion of our meal. Also I'm not typically crazy about burrata cheese s but this was paired quite well with pears and honey-nut- mix. We then decided to check out the rooftop which is very nice and surprisingly not too crowded... Although I'm sure this has potential for being very busy on other nights. And finally there is an elevator if necessary to get from the rooftop downstairs to the street level. It will definitely be worth another trip.

Yelp
Great rooftop bar experience. So many awesome locals and a rich history of this building!

Sarah S.

Yelp
Had reservations here for 6 on Nov. 15 at 8pm. Upon arriving 5 minutes early, we were told by the hostess to wait by the bar area. Noticed other large parties coming in after us and being sat. At 8:30 when I asked the hostess if we would be sitting soon, she said there was a delay because they were still holding a table for a party whose reservations were at 7:30. They had a grace period of over an hour for a reservation?!? Seems crazy to me... or the hostess just messed up and was trying to cover her tracks. We were finally sat at 9pm, and I was disappointed to learn they were out of the short rib by that point. Anyway, the food here is always amazing, and the waitstaff was great. I especially recommend heading upstairs to the rooftop for an espresso martini for an after dinner drink. Would give 5 stars but they need to retrain their host staff or hire new ones!

John D.

Yelp
Great Food! Service was excellent! Had reservations for 6 @ 8p. Was finally seated @. 8:30 and split table - 4and 2! Not good.

Yelp
Great food and atmosphere! Thank you Jordan for your food recommendations and superb customer service!

Yelp
Went here with a few of my friends and I didn't know what to expect. When we arrived, the hostess greeted us and we went upstairs. When we got upstairs we were looking around for what we needed to do, we finally asked a waitress where should we sit. Would have like more proactive service but, they just opened. Once seated, the server, McKenzie, was on it. She took our drink and appetizer orders. I had the baked mussels. They were ok. Just a little small. But they had good flavor. I also had the spicy lamb. Wasn't really spicy but it was really good. I ordered the fried quail. Check out the pic. It was pretty good. Could have used a little more seasoning on the quail. But not bad. Good Ambiance. Clean bathrooms. Overall it was good. But McKenzie was on point. She even recorded a quick video for us. And another server took some pics of us. McKenzie helped make the entire experience a great one.

Yelp
A few of my friends and I visited for my birthday and we had a blast. The food delicious and full of flavor. You must try the deviled eggs. The cheese tray was nice as well a lot to choose from. I'll be back for sure!

Yelp
Hendrix is a really cool roof-top/casual restaurant in Columbia. I'm really glad they repurposed the building and renovated it because I remember when the building was falling down. My wife and I only did the roof-top bar. It's a really cool spot to hang out and see the skyline (haha) of Columbia. They have the usual offerings a normal bar does: Wine, Cocktails, and Beer. Wine is moderately priced at anywhere from 30 - 80 dollars a bottle. Most of the cocktails were between 9-13 dollars (honestly not bad), and beer was between 4-9. Pretty standard. You do get a waiter if you come early enough. Super cool building and place. I'm really glad Columbia has it, because I'd definitely take someone there who has never been to the city before to help show Columbia off.

Tamika P.

Yelp
10/10 I loved the atmosphere and tunes they played. Service was quick and friendly, we barely had to wait for our food. The food was delicious, I can't wait to go back and try the rest of the menu.
google avatar

Shantoria S.

Yelp
Food, service, and atmosphere I give a 10/10 rating. The restaurant gives an intimate feel which I love, especially for special occasions. Conveniently located downtown on Main Street. I believe portions could be a tad bigger for the price, however our experience was great overall. Would recommend, especially for anyone looking for a nice intimate outing or to celebrate a special occasion.
google avatar

Ashley L.

Yelp
My visit at Hendrix was one for the books! The food experience was beyond amazing. My husband and I started in the rooftop for drinks. The bartender was awesome. We started with the Brussels sprouts, oysters, tuna, deviled egg, burrata cheese, and mussels. All were amazing. My favorite appetizer was the steamed rock shrimp buns! I also ordered a drink called the Teachers Pet that was so fancy and good. Our dinner was equally great. We had the special which was the wreck fish and ribeye. Overall Hendrix exceeded my expectations! I can not wait to return for round 2

Whitney S.

Yelp
They would definitely have 5 stars if the staff was as top tier as the vibe of this place. Food, vibes, drinks, view, aesthetics were all top tier , I would only recommend hiring staff that know when to turn it off and on, like the hostess seemed stressed when we walked in as if we were a hassle... attitude made her seem less attractive. Like lady we're not here to look cute and eat / drink for free so suck it up buttercup! Any who, everything else was too good to not give it another chance... so I guess I'll keep you all posted on if it was just a bad night or not.

Triana R.

Yelp
Giving it a 1 star because we drove all the way from Augusta, GA (1.5 hours one way) to eat here and when we arrived, the doors were locked. We stood there waiting, with another couple, until the workers from the store/restaurant next door came outside and told us they were gone for the weekend. A sign would've been extremely helpful instead of wasting our time!
google avatar

Shelby K.

Yelp
5 star dinning experience for sure! My husband is heading out soon for deployment so we wanted a nice fancy dinner so we decided to give this place a try. The staff was very nice and the atmosphere was amazing. We got several drinks, an appetizer, our meals, and dessert. Only complaint is paying $12 for 4 hush puppies. Everything else I feel like was reasonably priced for the quality of it! Can't wait to go back!
google avatar

Gregory G.

Yelp
The rooftop is a great place to hang out and grab a bite with a cocktail. It's a bit warm in the summer but great in every other season.
google avatar

Yelp
Recommended from a yelpie friend! This is a bar/ restaurant/ roof top really nice spot for our area. I love me some rooftops, only problem it was so packed I couldn't really enjoy it. You have to make reservations for the restaurant, they have 2 bars that are open seating, you can get food from the bar areas. Service was quick and everyone seemed to be enjoyin the atmosphere. The whole place was clean, and I loved the décor thru out. You do have to walk up stairs to enter, they have a elevator to reach the rooftop. They do have valet parking, I never pay down town, free parking after 6pm allover, parking decks are easy to find. The only issue, the pricing is kinda expensive for this area, very small amt of food received. The pulled pork tacos were a bit greasy for me, drinks had a lot of ice in the them, I looked down the whole bar for verification. We had one beer which was priced high. I get it, the location is DT, but yeah ok. Great place for a drank or date night, again thankful for all the new places poppin up in the Cola area. I reviewed them kinda of high, new location, and ambience got me in a good way. This was our 3rd stop today so we ate only from bar, I will go back for dinner another time.

Yelp
Cool rooftop bar above The Woody on Main. Haven't tried the food, but would bet it's awesome. Superb cocktails and selection of craft beers served by attentive bartenders.
google avatar

Nicole W.

Yelp
Saw something about a new rooftop bar on Facebook and knew I had to check it out! Sadly it was a cold night, so it was chilly to be outside, but they have blankets you can use. They have heaters as well, although we didn't feel much heat from the top since we were sitting down. I highly recommend making a reservation! We waited 1hr for an inside table around 8:30pm on a Saturday night. Luckily, we were just going for drinks so we didn't mind getting started on the rooftop. I'll definitely be back when it's warmer as this place has some awesome rooftop views! Also want to try the food which looked good.
google avatar

Christina F.

Yelp
Pricey, yes. Worth it , also yes. If you're looking for a nice dinner with good service and ambiance, this place has it. The drink options are plentiful. The menu itself is simple, not overwhelming with choices, yet guaranteed to find something you'll like. My husband loved his pork chop and fingerling potatoes with bacon. I enjoyed the sirloin on top of hummus , of all things, and a corn salsa. It gave an otherwise ho him steak great flavor. We also shared the cheese appetizer and watermelon salad. Both were very good. I am GF and couldn't do the bread and crackers but hubby said the bread was very good. I still enjoyed the sharpness of the variety of cheeses with the sweetness of the jelly and tartness of the picked veggies that the cheese plate offered. Hubby had the house Pinot noir, very smooth. My red blend was good but honestly, his was better and cheaper! Go an hour early than reservations and enjoy the rooftop bar. Thursday nights entertainment was very good.
google avatar

Monica G.

Yelp
The only reason I'm giving 2 stars is because we didn't try the food. It didn't look very good, but we didn't eat so I can't speak to it. Went up to the rooftop for some evening cocktails with friends from out of town. They saw Hendrix and thought it looked fun, but we were wrong. After climbing the steps to get up there, we were ready for some drinks. The "specialty" cocktails are all premixed...we didn't realize until it was too late. Espresso old fashioned was awful, overwhelmed with bitters, and didn't taste like there was any alcohol. The Pink Lady was watered down tasting sprite that was pink, again, zero taste of alcohol. Another friend got a draft beer that came in a plastic cup and had a massive head on it...a solid quarter of the cup was head. When you're paying $12-$15 for cocktails, it's insane to have them premixed. I understand needed to churn out drinks quickly, but this isn't an Applebees $1 margarita. Bartenders should know how to properly pour a draft beer. Bartenders had a crap attitude, too. They looked like they were inconvenienced by us ordering drinks. We had one drink each and promptly closed out. The Aristocrat is right down the road, a whole world more friendly, and the drinks actually tasted good. I won't return to Hendrix at any time...you can get the same crappy service and terrible drinks for a fraction the price at Applebees.

Yelp
I had a little time to kill later on a Saturday afternoon and wanted to check out a rooftop bar. The one higher up on one of the downtown hotels opened an hour later so around 4 p.m. I found myself ascending the stairs at Hendrix. It is 2 flights to the roof, from street level. I checked in at the bar and got a glass of wine. I went to the front wall and got a seat hoping to just generally people-watch as I worked on my laptop and enjoyed my beverage. Sadly, you can hardly see over the wall given the configuration. I guess if they made the floor or seats high enough to conveniently look down onto Main Street, they'd likely have some number of patrons keel over and fall to the sidewalk. I made the best of it. I soon found that I also could hardly see the screen to do any typing on emails, etc. Luckily, I a adept at touch-typing, so I was able to compose a fair amount of text on Notepad and edit it later. If you just want to watch the sunset with friends, this could be a good spot to hang out for an hour or two, I'd guess.

Yelp
One of my favorite restaurants in Columbia!! The food never disappoints and the drinks are phenomenal!! Be sure to have the churros for dessert!
