Hendy's on Henderson

I was in town from Austin and saw this place recommended on Instagram. The food looked really good so my husband and I decided to give it a try. The vibe wasn't what I was expecting, but not bad. I was expecting a cute, laidback, Sunday brunch vibe but this is definitely a college bar. It was the Red River Showdown weekend so that also amplified the atmosphere, I'm sure. The girls behind the bar were super nice, though, and took great care of us. We thought the food was fantastic. We started with the ahi tuna and pretzel calamari. The tuna was super fresh and light. I was nervous about the pretzel batter for calamari but it was a light flavor instead of thick and heavy like I was worried it might be. The calamari was also cooked perfectly, not dried out and tough. My husband ordered the BLT and I got the breakfast sandwich. Both were delicious, as well, and their breakfast potatoes were probably the best I've had. I think as long as you come in knowing it's a young crowd, you're going to love it!

We visited on Hendy's Steak Night. The steak was cooked just as requested with delicious mashed potatoes. Our very gracious waitresses recommended the spicy pasta with steak,which I was very satisfied with. We started our night on the comfy sofa, table, chair area and ended it with something sweet on outdoor patio area. We ordered a creme brule cheesecake for dessert. Our waitress, Siv was very attentive to our needs, checked periodically never having to ask for refills on drinks, extra napkins, dessert, or to go containers. Definitely recommend you visit, hopefully you'll be lucky and get her as your waitress. Keep up the good food, service and atmosphere,Hendys!!! See you soon!!

Hendy’s on Henderson has such a nice, chill vibe, perfect for a laid-back night out with friends or a cute date. There’s plenty to do between the dart games and pool tables, and the drinks are really good too. I loved how much outdoor seating they have; it’s great for hanging out when the weather’s nice. I ordered the chicken sandwich, and it was amazing….that hot honey sauce was seriously delicious! The fries were just as good, crispy and seasoned perfectly. Overall, great food, good atmosphere, and an awesome location. I’ll definitely be back to try other foods off the menu.

New vibey bar & restaurant. Burger & Steak are safe bets. Juicy burger with LOTS OF FRIES. Steak was surprisingly tender served with another load of fries. The rest still need improvements but still new so that’s expected. Tuna app is a miss. I’m a little sad because the spicy rigatoni could have been good but the acid levels were wild 😞 I love this place for met ups and drinks. I had the spicy margarita - not that spicy it was okay. There was a cucumber cocktail (I can’t remember the name) it was good but a little on the sweet side. Overall, I would come back.

Service, music, and drinks were great, and loved the atmosphere- the beets and fries were fantastic! But- the tartar(sent back) and tuna were both texturally pretty bad, and the calamari was almost inedibly chewy.

Steak and frites were so good and I didn’t even get to take a photo! Shout out to Julie who take care of me at the bar and others! Solid night at Hendy’s great vibe and perfect for this fall weather.

Great spot! The drinks were amazing, and our server Marianna was on top of everything — super attentive and friendly. The burger was absolutely delicious, one of the best I’ve had in a while. Will definitely be coming back soon!

Came for brunch around 10:30: food was great, but they do not have coffee. DJ is fine, but was a little loud since we were to only table seated until around 12:30. Drinks were also great! Would recommend the smoked salmon omelette, the fruit and biscuits, and coconut matcha martini (even if the matcha was not a forward flavor)

Good food! Nothing crazy elaborate but the fries were super crispy and the steak had good flavor. They actually knew how to cook rare plus - which was a huge bonus. They used a butter gravy on top that I liked. It's definitely a bar first, but if you want dinner - they do that too. Ambiance was nice with beautiful warm light and trendy decor. Service was great. Very pretty and charming young waitress. Steak night is the night I went - Mondays. $4 sides and $36 strips. Cheers.

If you are 30 and under, this is your spot! The food is mediocre, but the drinks I had were good, but take that with a grain of salt because we had prosecco and spritzers. The Zesty Cello was delicious. However the Maui spritzer tasted like grass. My husband liked it though. The food is too oily. We tried each of croquettes. They were a bit oily and the actual croquettes lacked flavor, and the toppings weren't flavorful enough to carry them. My husband got the burger which he said was decent. The fries are really good. I got 1 pancake, and it would have been ok had they actually cleaned the grill before cooking the pancakes. You can taste the meat in the pancakes. They had to have cooked them right where they cooked the burgers because they definitely tasted meaty. I also got the BLT. It was oily and unseasoned. The best thing on the sandwich was the bacon. The sourdough seemed to be dipped in oil, and the fried green tomatoes were deep fried, not pan fried and lacked flavor. I wouldn't go back, but I'm also over 30 and a foodie that travels the world. Lower your expectations if you go for food. Our waitress was the cutest thing and she was nice. It seemed like her first service job. The patio was nice also. Note that they do require a credit card on file. I'll have to leave this one for the youngsters.

Great new little brunch and bar! Perfect location on Henderson. Great vibes. Good for college football and just hanging out. There's 2 dart boards, a pool table and a vape vending machine lolol overall great! The staff are all super nice !

PROS: the place was spacious and had seating. The prices were good, and they had dart boards. CONS: the staff isn't the nicest and the inside seating is only for bottle service OVERALL: this is a fine place, but I would come back only if my friends want to come here

Two words: spicy rigatoni. Just order it! It's so good! Their cocktails are awesome too. And they have a legit happy hour until 7 on weekdays with half priced apps and drink specials. Decor inside is awesome, lots of seating inside and out. Great addition to the neighborhood. Service is really good too! I'll be back for that Baja blast drink for sure.

Shoutout to Logan at the bar. He was so accommodating and kind even in a busy atmosphere! The pickle marg is not as intimidating as it sounds. It's actually tastes more like a spicy marg. Better than expected. The Vida Fresca is super refreshing. Would recommend both. Overall great vibes and addition to the Henderson location

Like another recent review, we came for the food and not a party. That said, the music was SO loud, it was ridiculous. The bouncer was awesome though and found us a place outside. Even sitting outside every time the door opened, it was like an entry to Hell! Drinks were great and the food was better than decent.

Really cute place! I popped in after work to check it out. I got a cute meal that was reminiscent of a happy meal. They call it Hendy's Meal. Beware! This is not a sit down and have a quiet dinner type place. It is very loud inside! However, it fits the party vibes in the area so if you're looking to hang out with your girls this place is it!

What an awesome place...Tristan at the front was super helpful and made me feel very welcomed besides that the rest of the staff were great and so was the drinks and food. We be coming back!

Let me start by saying that we are not the target demographic for Henrdy's - older and married. That said, we enjoy Peja Krstic's restaurants and wanted to give a try. Mistake. On the positive side, the staff was great and the drinks were good. However, the joint was so loud that we could not hear each other sitting side by side. And the food was terrible. The rolls tasted like they came from the freezer section at the grocery - not like what is served at Pillar. The Hendy salad (or whatever it is called) was so drenched in dressing as to be inedible (and the chicken was MIA). The lasagne was dried out to the point where it had an unanticipated (and unappealing) crunch. We won't be back.

Saw this on TikTok as a new brunch rec from a couple influencers I follow. Showed up with my friends right when they opened. Had to park a 5 minute walk from the building on a random, sketchy street. There was a bouncer- he made my best friend walk all the way back to where they parked to get his ID just so we could enter. We did and, when we finally got in, every table was apparently reserved so they said our best chance of eating was to sit at the bar (us 4 were the only ones in the building and we noticed a few tables did not have a "reservation" plaque on them). Country music was blasted throughout the restaurant and we couldn't hear each other that well. The staff was also not that friendly (bartender was great; hosts were rude) and I eventually told my friends to pack up before ordering anything because the energy was just off and I didn't feel comfortable anymore. You might have a better time if you're looking for a sports bar/college game day vibe where you take an uber- not necessarily weekend brunch (bizarre given their aesthetic). Brunch places we love instead: Bread Winners in uptown, Chelsea's Corner in Uptown, Snooze in Preston Hollow, Chefika Mediterranean Grill, Blue Sushi Sake Grill, the Fifth in Richardson, Hg Suply in Greenville and Brunch Time in Plano. (I am not a paid influencer)

This is the best place ever so fun! I can't wait to enter the establishment yay I can't wait to enter

Went last night. A cool concept with good people watching. Our waitress, Arianna, took great care of us. Will repeat!

Food and drinks are good. Service is terrible because the waitresses are sharing tables. They never know when the last time someone's checked on you. Waited 20 minutes to get our drinks, TWICE. Will definitely go back but they need to figure out their waitresses situation because they're clueless.

Best new spot in Dallas! From the minute I walked in i was greeted by a handsome and tall man named Tristan. The food was great, the chef really knows how to put a dish together. The vibe of the place is a vintage feel with a house party undertone that's sexy and classy. The managers and owners showed face and were so friendly. Definitely will be back this week!

Great atmosphere and ambiance inside. Menu was well priced and a unique drink menu. Unfortunately we waited over an hour for a waiter to come by and even ask if we wanted water/silverware/ to order. Seemed the waitstaff was confused on sections. After an hour of waiting we got waters after flagging down a bus boy. Seems to have potential for sure but needs to vet the wait staff and plan better.

Had a amazing time I meet the security guard Tristan very respectful really cool. Drinks were amazing. The food was fantastic. Highly recommend to come here.
