Having been underwhelmed by the Bukit Panjang branch, I decided to give OG another chance. Despite the lunch crowd, the queue moved swiftly. I went for the standard duck rice set and added pork for a total of $6.
The price tag seems reasonable considering current inflation, but the portion size left me wanting more, especially on a particularly hungry day. The braised egg and tofu, which could have made the meal more filling, were unfortunately sold out.
While the duck meat was decent, lacking any unpleasant gamey smell, it wasn't as tender as I had hoped. The herbal soup also tastes quite flat. The chili sauce, too, was too acidic for my taste.
Perhaps I visited on a bad day but it is unlikely I will revisit them again.
