The boneless spare ribs are top notch, they have the crispy burnt ends and a deep sweetness. The chicken wings are phenomenal, lightly charred. Good pork fried rice, they use the boneless spareribs in this as well, Dinner specials are fantastic, especially D7. The shrimp with lobster sauce is incredibly rich and chock full of hamburger and shrimp. Duck sauce is solid as well. Always piping hot and friendly staff. Never been disappointed here in my 10+ times picking up. Most ive dealt with is waiting 5-10 minutes longer than expected for my order as it was a Saturday night.

Google
This is the best Chinese place I've ever tasted, and I've tasted a lot of Chinese over the years. These noodles are so delicious. And the rest of the food is good there too. I also like the service they are very nice. For a very small shop they do good easy to pick up food but the atmosphere is kind of small but either of the way it's great. That's why I read it five stars delicious best Chinese food I ever had in my life.

Clay Cool

Google
The best Chinese food in Manchester. Would like some onion in the pork fried rice. That’s all. Keep coming back and spreading the word. Never disappointed. The chicken wings were, big and delicious.

It's what you'd expect from a cheap asian takeaway. their meals are HOT and FAST, but unfortunately they have a habit of burning/overcooking their meats and sauces, to the point everything is slopped together in the box and tastes burnt. They also don't rinse out their frying pans thoroughly, so you can taste the detergent they use in their fried rice every time. I go there for the convenience, but the food is subpar.

Google
I like there food and wondering when there going to open back up they been closed for 3months and want some food they are good Chinese.

Jarrod Williams

Google
Not the most incredible Chinese food, but really good. Can't beat the value either. The poo poo platter for 2 is the best bang for your buck you'll find. Easily enough to feed 4. I love their egg rolls.

Stefanie M

Google
Really great, tasty HUGE portions— would give 5 stars if everything wasn’t absolutely swimming in sauce. Ask for less sauce- my rangoons are soggy :( (picture is HALF EATEN)

We all have one of those days where we crave for some seriously bad Americanized Chinese food...my boyfriend has those days more than others. I usually pick out the places we eat at or order from but when he's craving Heng Won he's really craving Heng Won. His go-to is always the pork fried rice, crab meat rangoon, and boneless spareribs. I hate fried rice where the rice isn't soft and has turned brown from the soy sauce so I'm not a good judge of that particular dish...but he likes it. I do like the crab rangoons and boneless spareribs. Unfortunately the boneless spareribs don't come in two different sizes. An order of spareribs is super large. Some pieces the meat is a little tougher/dryer but some pieces are pretty good and tender. I am definitely not above Americanized Chinese takeout. I usually opt for the beef lo mein and beef & broccoli. Sometimes I'll throw in a little General Tso's chicken here and there. The beef & broccoli here is pretty standard, nothing to complain about. The beef lo mein is where I have complaints. While the small order of lo mein is still pretty big, I just didn't care for it. The noodles were soft but they were pretty dry...lo mein noodles should be wet from the sauce. The beef wasn't tender like the beef & broccoli meat either. I would definitely pass on the lo mein when ordering from Heng Won.

Yelp
Great appetizers! Chicken wings are the whole wing! I've tried several of the dinners and have always been pleased I wish they were available for delivery for those times I can't get there!

Yelp
I was literally sick within 30 minutes of eating. I had n egg roll and a crab Rangoon and the beef lo mein. Tasted sweet to me but being the first time eating there I just thought it was their flavor. I was sick for 3 days after eating here. I ordered with a friend and she was also sick. She had the wonton soup. I was so sick I am swearing off Chinese forever maybe.

Yelp
No frills Chinese takeout. Best crab Rangoon I've ever eaten. They are sweet, not herby. Also got number 4 , lots of items. In the past we have eaten beef/broccoli, gen goas chix, different lo meins. Never had a bad meal here.

Yelp
Went to Heng Won for Chinese food for New Years Eve (like I've been doing for the last 21 years) and they were closed. There was a sign in the window and a lot of people were in the parking lot trying to call them but, of course, there was no answer. Not even an out-going message. Too bad for Heng Won a lot of people were going to Hong Kong City instead and the food from Hong Kong City is so much better than what you get at Heng Won. The food from Hong Kong City is very fresh and of good quality. You get less than you get at Heng Won but you also pay less. And the staff at Hong Kong City is so friendly. The girl at the counter apologized for the food taking 25 minutes but she said they were short staffed. Imagine, getting an apology. You'll never get that at Heng Won. Back to Heng Won. Like I said, I've been going there for 21 years. Why? I have no idea. Their service is horrible and their staff is rude. Most of the time the Teriyaki Beef is tough and over cooked. Their boneless spare ribs are the worst. Almost all fat. At Hong Kong City there was absolutely NO FAT in their boneless spare ribs. The food at Heng Won is certainly not fresh; a lot of times it tastes old. Next New Years Eve I'm going to be heading to Hong Kong City for some really good Chinese Food. Goodbye Heng Won forever.

Yelp
Everything is great all their food but would love rolls also and more duck sauce it is the best. take their food and extra sauce to Texas because they are the best. Texas sauce is red not like NH at that take out. love all that they make. thank you.

Yelp
Amazing food. Great people at heng won and very friendly. Service was super fast and no issues when we got home

Yelp
Always the best! My preferred place for Chinese food. One of the few places that when you order an appetizer they don't count 10 chicken fingers, they fill the box. Small hole in the wall place, but don't let the look fool you!!! Pupu comes with rice too! Yum!

Crystal M.

Yelp
Delicious made hot and fresh to order and the crab Rangoon is very delicious I love the prices as well they're also very nice

Yelp
I have had a love & hate relationship with this place for years. Let's clarify the only thing I have actually loved: limited to their crab rangoon (something I have come to enjoy over the yrs). However, boy did this place go south (in the past it may have been tolerable?) get worse from what they used to be! I mean BAD folks. For one, it's still crazy busy for how cheap it is and for how relatively quickly they get their food out, a plus for most folks and they certainly have their clientele established--you can't go wrong if you're a cheapskate and just want something to absorb the alcohol. But... ...make no mistake about it, this is really the bottom of the barrel quality 'chinese' food-- if you can even call it that. Some of their stuff shouldn't be fed to farm animals! Food is incredibly greasy, we're talking dripping grease! Nasty! Rice quality is bad, proteins are questionable, usually burnt or badly cooked and the quality of everything here seems half-assed, rushed or otherwise nauseating. Sauces are probably the most disgusting I have ever tasted for any asian cuisine, as a previous reviewer stated. Beef with brocolli in most chinese places entail an edible sauce, here? Absolutely abhorrent to eat, leaving some sort of pungent after taste, and I am usually one to try just about anything food wise, far from having a weak stomach. Dumplings? Something I love elsewhere? Here the dough is a hardened inedible shell. Overall I would avoid if possible, there are other options out there for not getting yourself sick! Where you won't be just a $ sign for these people, since that's all you are when you come here, clearly, given their efforts.

Yelp
Yes, it's New Year's Eve and many restaurants, especially Chinese restaurants, are busy but they should know how to prepare for it. After all, it's not their first one! I'm not going to beat them up on that though. I will beat them up on the quality and preparation of the food. I ordered the pu-pu for two the shrimp was nasty since the coating wasn't cooked all the way through. The same with the chicken fingers. Egg roll was meh. Chicken wings were burnt and the steak teriyaki was overcooked and one even tasted funky; I hope it wasn't spoiled! The pork fried rice was just ok and the pork strips were ok. It will be a while before I ever eat here again, if ever.

Melissa H.

Yelp
Slow. Ordered ahead and it said 20 minutes as it should be for pick up. 40 minutes later it's finally ready. Don't say ready I'm 20 if it's going to take longer. I don't mind waiting if I know how long it's going to actually take. False advertisement! Also this place is dirty. Every inch of this place dirty.

Yelp
Great Chinese takeout! This place offers takeout only with seats for waiting in front of the counter along with some games (Cruisin' World and Skill Crane) to play. The hot and tasty portions are very generous and the prices are reasonable. Some of the best tasting Chinese food I've had outside Chinatown. 10 Chef's Combination Dinners For One ($8.00) and 22 Lunch Specials ($4.35-$8.00) are served all day here. The Chinese food here is prepared by older and very experienced Chinese cooks. Spicy hot dishes can be prepared in three distinct categories (1) Mild hot & spicy, (2) Regular hot & spicy, and (3) Very hot spicy. My favorites here are the Peking Spaghetti and Singapore Style Rice Noodles. The service here is quick. LOCATION: Cannot be seen from Mammoth Road. Located behind Aaron's, enter through the Rite Aid parking lot and look left.

Yelp
I dont know what sauce my beef and broccoli was LITTERALY DROWNED IN, but it was nauseating. It was the grossest thing I've had in a Chinese restaurant, and I've been to Kawloon

Crissy O.

Yelp
I'm not sure why this place doesn't have more stars. It was great when I first moved here. Then went down a bit. But now it's back! It's perfectly good serviceable Chinese food. My husband just picked up some take out. Sesame chicken combo for me. A plate of nibbles and rice for him. He brought it home PIPING HOT! Freshly made and tastes great!
google avatar

Beth G.

Yelp
Avoid! Between the rude cashiers and the food they serve, it's not worth it. I have eaten here for 33 years and it's over after my last order. Sad, but I don't want to get sick again.

Yelp
My usual spot was closed so I decided to try these guys out.. just because they are a few miles away. Starters I spent 62$ and got a few dishes like chicken lo mein general chicken pepper stake , chicken and shrimp lo mein and a few apps like crab Rangoon and chicken teriyaki. The general chicken was absolute trash over cooked and a sour weird taste to it. Pepper stake was horrible had a way to much sauce it was spilling out of the box. The lo mein was the worst part .. under cooked and tasted like plastic no flavor what so ever. I will definitely not come back.
google avatar

Yelp
If I cold give this place a "negative" star I would. I ordered pan fried dumplings and chicken fingers. The dumplings were burnt, and dipping sauce was just plain soy sauce. The chicken fingers were clearly fried in the same oil as some fish, as that is all they tasted of. These too, were way over cooked. On top of that, when I went to pick up my food, the woman literally tossed it over the counter to me. worst Chinese food and worst service ever!
google avatar

Lana H.

Yelp
Awesome fresh Chinese food and huge portions! Thanks fellow yelpers for your review. Again another great local restaurant giving great food and service. It is a take out only even though there is 1 table. I was told they do not have eat in license. Understood. You will not be disappointed.

Donna S.

Yelp
I moved from Manchester 10 years ago. At that time this was the absolute best! Couldn't wait to eat here when we came on vacation. The grossest food I have ever been served. We spent $130.00 and couldn't eat anything! Fried rice was just black rice. The gravy and sauces were bland and gross. The chicken was under cooked and the beef was so tough. I don't know how a place can change from being the best to absolutely the grossest inedible food! What a waste!
google avatar

Dawn L.

Yelp
Wouldnt go there. I was waiting for my food to cook, as this is an open kitchen. I could see the man in the back trimming the pork slab with his bare hands. How gross. During this covid-19 outbreak, how nasty!! The cooked some of my food way ahead of time and it sat on the counter for about 10 min getting cold. Wouldnt recommended this place!! Dirty and poor food quality.

Trisha B.

Yelp
Should have read the reviews first. This place is awful. The shrimp lo mein was DRY and rubbery and the whole 5 or 6 tiny shrimp that were in it had a big black mud vein in every single one. Gross. No rice with the general tso's (that was sweet only, no spice to it) I guess you have to order it seperate? Both egg rolls burnt and the stuffing was disgusting. Lesson learned. Wasted $40 since it all went in the garbage. Do yourself a favor and order somewhere else. I mean really DO NOT DO IT folks!

Jerry C.

Yelp
I read the rave reviews and am amazed. I love chicken chow mien. I ordered the chow mien with a bowl of wan tan soup and a fried egg roll. The soup was good except the wan tan wrapper was mushy. The egg roll filling was awful. The chow mien had absolutely zero taste. Nothing. The only thing with taste was the commercial noodles they include. Learned a lesson here, no Heng Won for me.

Mikhail Z.

Yelp
Everything was very good the ribs were dried up however but it's the closest Chinese place next to me and they do a great job

Valerie F.

Yelp
This is a small place but they have the best Chinese ever!!!! I have been going here since I was a kid. You get a lot of food for a great price. Their pupu platter for two feeds at least 4

Lulu M.

Yelp
For the love of god don't go here. The food is spoiled! I feel so disgusted by this whole experience.
google avatar

Bret P.

Yelp
This is middle of the road Chinese food. Quick service and has been here forever. Also has great late hours. I guess not much more to say did not exceed expectations for a hole in the wall place.
google avatar

Jay C.

Yelp
This is the best ever. I just came back after being in the Army and after 12 years.... Still best ever. My family never buys from any other restaurant. Pupu plater forever
google avatar

Kush K.

Yelp
Portions here are huge. This is the best tasting Chinese food in Manchester . The kitchen is disgusting and very unclean. My family and friends have never gotten sick from eating here .

Sarah S.

Yelp
Unfortunate. The general tso chicken and the pork friend rice were the same color; brown. The general sauce tasted thick, like there was a lot of undissolved flour or corn starch in it. This permitted any flavor that may have been hiding, but I doubt it. The pork fried rice had no vegetables in it. What kind of friend rice doesn't have any onion in it? The only saving grace was the crab rangoons. They were crispy, and slightly sweet. I don't think I could've finished my food even if I was a baked 16 year old boy.
google avatar

Jake C.

Yelp
Heng Won; Death of a superstar. Heng Won was my favorite Chinese food place in Manchester for many years. Unfortunately the decline in cleanliness and the increase in apathy have wreaked havoc on the quality of food prepared there. Heng Won was a superstar in the fast food world. They have never really been friendly and getting TWO napkins was like an act of Congress but the food made it worth the hassle and typically it was done in "TEN MINUTE". It would seem that last night will be my last time being a patron. The food didn't taste right, the beef teriyaki was burnt badly. The eggroll was incredibly salty and the rice was bland. These are some of my favorite foods. Even after reading the NH Health Inspectors report, I decided to give them another chance. (You might want to read that report) So be it. A sad day in Manchvegas.
google avatar

Chris L.

Yelp
Pound for pound, one off the best values for Chinese food in Manchester. It's pretty much take out only (there's only one table). I ordered Kung Pao beef, cashew chicken and white rice. The bill was $26. Ten minutes later when I got my order it felt like the bag had a couple of bricks in it. I weighed it when I got home. Nine pounds. The nice thing is it's not just quantity, it's quality. Both entrees were loaded with quality crunchy vegetables and plenty of meat/chicken. The white rice, while not perfect, was pretty sticky and moist. Like other reviewers said, it's hidden behind the Rite-Aid - across from Billy's Sports Bar and the Elliot Hospital.
google avatar

Lonnie M.

Yelp
I have been going to this place since I was in high school. Seeing that I'm now 36 yrs old, that says something about the business. It's not the type of a place to take your new lady on a first date (they haven't done any renovations since I was in high school either), but it is great for takeout. The huge portions and great prices make this restaurant stand out. The food is your typical take out; terryaki, chicken fingers, crab rangoon, etc. The quality is average to above average. Combo plates being the best bargain. Portions are insane. A small at this place easily rivals a large any other place. You can spend $25 and eat for two weeks off of the leftovers. BREAKDOWN: Food - 4 Portions - 5 Staff - n/a Venue - 2 Compares to - Aloha
google avatar

Johnny B.

Yelp
This place is a dive chinese takeout joint but really good. It is better than Aloha (2nd choice), but best is North Garden in Pinardville (Goffstown) if you live on the West End. Anyways, dont get anything too creativity but the staples are all great and the "Peking Spaghetti and Singapore Style Rice Noodles" are REALLY great! Kao Pao Chicken is better than most. Stay away from the soups and the chop suey. From the city that "never starts"...Manch-Vegas... "Stay Thirsty my friends"...
google avatar

Gina K.

Yelp
Having a good Chinese restaurant 5 blocks away could be really dangerous in the winter months. Fortunately Heng Won does not deliver! Tucked away beside the Rite Aid in what looks to be a shack, this place delivers more bang for the buck than any other restaurant I've EVER been to! I ordered two dinners - General Tso's chicken and Kung Pao chicken. The fried rice was the dark rich flavor and the white rice was good and sticky. They gave us 4 huge crab rangoons which were out of this world and there must have been 8 chicken fingers with the Kung Pao. Also, they successfully made the Kung Pao without peanuts and made it very spicy on request! Hard to find when a Chinese restaurant doesn't screw something up in the order! Very friendly service and quick. My new Chinese haunt for the next few months. YUM YUM!
google avatar

vish z.

Yelp
Good food, if you get what you think you ordered. I ordered shrimp chow mein, and fried shrimp and was expecting the regular fried noodles. But the noodles were not fried, they were the wet soggy type. The fried shrimp was actually a shrimp roll and too oily for my taste. Would go there again and ask about the items in detail before ordering. Good prices, not bad waiting time.
google avatar

Hannah B.

Yelp
After trying several chinese places here I think I finally found the one, She ain't much to look at, and no delivery but the food speaks for itself! I am in love with the Kung Pao Chicken and the vast amount of food you receive. It's like christmas when we get home and tear open that paper bag to find steaming, piping hot chinese filled to the brim in the styrofoam container! they are fast! your order will be ready in no time at all
google avatar

Riccardo D.

Yelp
Food? Good for this type of American-Chinese food. Value? Hard to beat in the area? Service, or more specifically, politeness? 0 stars. They do a knock out business here so there is no incentive to be polite to their customers. You are more likely to find a republican endorsing Obama than you are to receive a thank you in this establishment. Today, I witnessed a customer profusely apologize for forgetting to order her side of chicken fingers with her original order. The cashier never once ack her politeness. While it's difficult to beat the value of their food, the service leaves sand in my mouth.
google avatar

Steve G.

Yelp
Great food, large selection, the portions are huge. I would have given it 5 stars but they gave me bread instead of rice with my entree.... Who gets bread at a Chinese restaurant? Kinda of hard to find, but it is worth it.
google avatar

Jimmy K.

Yelp
Food was crap. The eggroll was super dry. The sweet & sour sauce was just honey with a piece of pineapple and a cherry. The chicken was very dry and overcooked. The rice was more like pork burnt rice. If this is the best NH has to offer, I feel for ya. Food wasn't worth the price.

Krystal W.

Yelp
Ordered at 11:30 for food to be ready for 6pm tonight. They never took the order, my husband waited there for 40 minutes before he was even able to talk to someone after 10 minutes they had to retake the order and it would've been an hour and a half before food would've been ready so my husband wouldn't have even left there till 8:30 and wouldn't have been home til Ten minutes to nine. Absolutely ridiculous. I understand that it's New Year's Eve but you know you get busy you should be prepared and organized enough to handle things. Heard from other people that they had ordered 4 days prior and two weeks prior and still had the same issues
google avatar

Mason R.

Yelp
Would probably give three-and-a-half if I could. My wife and I were visiting her sister and nieces in Manchester and this is their go-to Chinese takeout. The SIL/nieces ordered PuPu platter for two and Rangoons. More than enough for the three of them, so I wound up getting some to take home. I thought it was OK...a bit too greasy for me but flavorful. My wife ordered shrimp egg foo yong which she didn't particularly care for, but I thought it was pretty good (and, like some other posters, I AM a foo yong aficionado). I ordered hot & sour soup...one serving turned out to be a quart! I must say, the flavor was a bit on the odd side but not unpleasant at all, and it had some hidden heat that was surprising. I added some soy sauce and that balanced the flavors out some. The most interesting component of the meal was my Bean Curd Family Style, a dish I have eaten at Mandarin/Szechuan restaurants many, many times. As usual, I ordered mine "super hot," as their menu calls it. Imagine my surprise when I looked at it and saw no evidence of spices or chili oil AT ALL. After the initial disappointment I took a bite and was very pleasantly surprised by the fresh vegetables, nicely-cooked tofu, and a very tasty (albeit spiceless) sauce. Today I reheated the leftover with some white rice and it was even better than Saturday night (no surprise there, it often is better a couple of days later). So despite them getting my order screwed up and having what I think qualifies as "Strange Flavored Hot & Sour Soup," I'm pretty sure I'd order from them again.
google avatar

Kaz H.

Yelp
The best thing about this place is the price. It's really cheap. Their Kung Pao chicken was good. It's a take out place, hidden behind a the CVS building. I'm giving 3 stars because everything was so greasy. After eating, I felt like I had gained 10 pounds!
google avatar

Elizabeth E.

Yelp
Great value for the price. There are not many vegetarian options; even the bean curd dishes come with meat. There are veggie lo mein, chop suey, etc. I ordered the Singapore style rice noodles minus meat, and they were DELICIOUS. Yellow curry with fresh snap peas, shredded carrot, bean sprouts, and onions. They did not list all the ingredients when I asked, just said "curry, noodles, and meat," so if you have a food allergy, ask about that item specifically instead of a general ingredients list. My friend ordered the house fried rice and said it was good.
google avatar

Nila J.

Yelp
This is my absolute favorite place to get Chinese food in Manchester. Today I decided to try the Singapore rice noodles, as I was craving something spicy, and was really disappointed to find shrimp that hadn't been cleaned. Quick way to gross out a guest. I just picked the dish free of the shrimp and was fine, but I'd avoid ordering anything with shrimp. (Photo posted here showing shrimp from this dish.)

Ashley B.

Yelp
The fried rice was rancid. Unfortunately this wasn't discovered until after our 10 year old decided to have some and ended up with food poisoning. Never again will we eat at this shithole.
google avatar

Z S.

Yelp
Best chinese food.. Crab rangoons and chicken fingers are out of this world. Very generous portions. Cashew chicken is unbelievable. I always order cashew chicken, small rangoon and small chicken finger.. The staff is a little rude.. But i give it Back to them. But the food makes up for it
google avatar

Ron M.

Yelp
I used to love this place and now it's terrible and I gave two tries. The first time it was old pork fried rice from days ago and it wasn't even cooked. Never go right when they open because you will get yesterdays fried rice. The second time it was even worse because although the pork fried rice was great the chicken fingers were all burnt and the beef teriyaki was tough.

Yelp
This place is scary as h*ll to walk into. You think "theres no way this food is any good". You would be dead wrong. I have been eating here for the last 20 years of my life. It is and always will be my fav chinese joint in the country. I have been all over in my travels and I am totally serious when I say I have not found anywhere that makes chinese like these guys. I travel back to Manchester from time to time and EVERYTIME heading here for food is a requirement. It may not be the cleanest most shiny sparkly place on earth but who the h*ll eats sparkles? The food is unbeatable and the family is truly pleasant.
