Great food, very nice place that’s beautifully decorated. Wonderful Turkey dinner with the trimmings! Bloody Mary was also super! We had the absolute pleasure of being served by Kim today, and she truly made our Thanksgiving meal special. From the moment we were seated, Kim greeted us with genuine warmth and a smile that set the tone for the entire experience! I recommend and we will look forward to returning!

I seriously don’t know why this place is not rated higher. Is it a little more expensive, yes. Is it worth it, yes! We went there for New Year’s and it was a magical night with the fireworks. All the wait staff was great. And again, the fireworks were beautifully orchestrated to music that was very professional. The food was excellent and the old fashion and French 75 was as good as we have had a Michelin 4-5 rated restaurant. Excellent food and service is not cheap but so worth it when it is done right. This place did it right!

The service was slow so please be patient with the staff. The majority of the time we waiting on drinks both alcoholic and non alcoholic and the appetizers. It was not crowded but it was the 1st of the year. When we did get our food, the table had mixed reviews of their items. I personally liked my NY strip with potatoes and seasoned veggies. The pastas look very similar and had mixed reviews. The salmon was a good choice. On another note, the red/orange butter for the table bread is amazing! My husband wished we could have some to go for the house! The atmosphere is very nice!

Everything was so amazing! They brought us a bread board with multiple butters to try and we liked them all and it was a fun experience. I got a steak as my entree and it was cooked perfectly. The restaurant itself if so pretty! I will definitely be back when I visit the island :)

First time. Oyster gratin very good! Shrimp "cocktail", shrimp were dry and tough, (over cooked). Bone marrow could have been charred more, it was definitely fatty but needed more flame and salt. Ordered N.Y. steak and added a jumbo lobster tail. Steak came out and lobster did not. By the time the lobster came out, the steak was cold! The lobster defiantly wasn't jumbo. It was like the lobster tails heb has for about 7-8 dollars. I did let one the "managers" know when he came to our table about the wait for the lobster and he offered to put the steak back on the grill. So you want to take the cold steak and reheat it, while the lobster that came out late and hot now will be cold by the time you reheat the steak.... just didn't make sense in my opinion. They did offer a dessert but I do not like sweets so it wasn't a fix for me. Fireworks were nice. Over 200.00 and wasn't worth it. I don't recommend it. Liam's steak house is way better!!!

Oh my goodness, what a find in South Padre! We decided to spend a few days on the island and we're told about a new restaurant on the Bayside and decided to try it out. We are so happy that we had dinner here. The food was so good and the pricing was surprisingly less than you might expect. Good thing for us it's off season cause we could really enjoy this brand new restaurant. Such a beautiful place that will definitely become the go to place on the island. The food was very good, but the service required just a tad more work to step up to excellent. Just a little more time and experience will change this, because it matters to the servers. They are a great group of people. Being on the island we ordered the broiled salmon fillet and the grilled jumbo shrimp. Both were so very good. We had dinner inside and had drinks afterwards outside! Make sure you visit Hennriettas Bay Front next time you're in South Padre. We definitely will when we visit again!

My husband and I ate here for our anniversary. We had an exceptional experience. The food was truly upscale and delicious. Our waitress Kim did an excellent job taking care of us. We watched the sunset as we dined.

Stopped by for lunch and the food was absolutely amazing! Had the crispy potato curls, jalapeño smash burger and my son got chicken tenders with fries. Mimosa flight was really good as well. Abby was so sweet and very attentive the whole time. The view was amazing! Can’t wait to be back.

Yelp
Elegant atmosphere and sophisticated cocktails: Henrietta's is the most beautifully designed restaurant space in all of SPI. Come here to impress your date, family, or business associates. Although pricey, the menu had a variety of dishes with a twist of worldly flavors to satisfy the tastebuds in a gorgeous setting. Started with the Wedge Salad that had a unique Miso + Caesar Dressing with Chorizo Crumbles. You can tell great thought was put into every detail of the menu, experience, and design. Sit comfortably indoors, at the bar lounge, on the outdoor dock, or the covered roof deck-- or move throughout the space, and try different seating for an after hours dessert and drinks. I had the Beef Short Rib Ragu for dinner, which had surprisingly more meat than expected. My dish was worth the price and served plenty, leaving me with delicious leftovers! Husband had the Broiled Salmon Fillet. The fish cut/size was underwhelming, and the sauce was just "good". Next time, I will be trying the Sea Bass or Red Curry Fried Chicken. Enjoy the best SURPRISE now (Nov 2025) till the end of the year, in celebration of the restaurant's launch the owner has a fireworks show every Friday night at 9:20pm! The bayfront location for high-end dining is truly a dream. Henrietta's is in a class of its own with good food, fantastic presentation, and a 5 star waiting staff! Note, we spent about $200 on dinner for two.

Yelp
Had an early dinner, only a few tables were occupied.. The bread n sample butters were good, as was our mushroom appetizer... I ordered the chilie sea bass, (48.00) which came with a scoop rice and (3) asparagus stocks.. I found my fish to be a bit over done. It was not flaky and a bit chewy, and the filet was on the smaller thin side..the rice and asparagus were good. I've had this dish before, so I know it was not as it should be. Our server was very nice, but disappeared. We waited way too long for her to come and clear our appetizer dishes and it seemed like maybe 10-15 minutes before she came back to ask if we were done with our dinner. Which had been apparent for at least 10 minutes, if she had ckd on us.. The restaurant is nicely decorated, but needs shades on its West facing windows to block the afternoon sun for it's west facing tables, which is where we were seated... We might try again, and sample another dish... When spending this amount of money, perfection is expected,,, this was not perfection.

Yelp
Full Review Disclaimer: What follows is my entire review of Henrietta's on the Bay. Some of these points absolutely should not deter you from going, because the food is worth it. But comedy lives in the little details, so buckle up. Henrietta's on the Bay - A Foodie Blockbuster (With Some Deleted Scenes Best Left on the Cutting Room Floor) Parking: The lot is large enough to fit approximately 7.24 golf carts. Not seven. Not eight. Seven point two four, snug as Tetris blocks. If you drive an actual car, best of luck in this round of Fast & the Not-So-Furious. Ambiance: The building itself is classy and clean, like a restaurant straight out of Eat Pray Love. Interior dining chairs look eclectic and artsy but are about as comfortable as a Saw sequel marathon. Exterior dining is better... unless it's 130 degrees out, in which case you're living in Fry Hard. Bay Windows: The view is phenomenal, almost La La Land romantic. But beware - during sunset, those giant windows transform into God's own laser show. For about 45 minutes, every diner inside is starring in Blinded by the Light. No tint, no blinds, no shades. You'll hear the collective grumbling as patrons try to shield their faces like vampires caught in a matinee. The view is 5 stars, the retina damage is 1 star. Service: Here's where we move into A Series of Unfortunate Events. I've been here nine times, and service has been a culinary roulette wheel. First time I asked about the wine selection and the server, without delay, stated that he didn't know anything at all about wine, what they had, how to spell it, or what it looked like. And he was serious. For the sake of animosity, we'll call him Mike. Twice, it was solid - drinks came when they should, servers smiled, things felt like an actual restaurant. The other seven times? Let's just say Waiting... could've filmed its sequel here. Refills range from "appropriately frequent" to "hope you brought a camel's hump to ration water." The short manager with the constant death stare could moonlight in a Paranormal Activity reboot - he doesn't manage so much as silently wish diners would vanish. (insider secret - ask for Jorge to be your server - you'll thank me later.) Food: The silver lining - and it's plated beautifully. The chef deserves a standing ovation. South Padre Island needed a fresh menu, and Henrietta's delivered. Every dish I've had has been genuinely good. Whoever is back there in the kitchen is pulling off Ratatouille levels of magic, proving that at least one rat in the building knows what it's doing. Verdict: Henrietta's is a foodie paradox: delicious dishes worthy of a foodie film festival, wrapped in service that often feels like Dumb and Dumber. We've given it nine tries (because hope dies hard), but like any bad franchise, we're probably not coming back for the tenth sequel. The owners own several restaurants/bars on the island, and it's certainly apparent that they do not have the time for quality control or staff selection. 5 Stars for food and location. 1 Star for service. Overall: 1.25 stars rounded up because the chef is carrying this place harder than Tom Hanks carried Cast Away.

Yelp
Every bite of food was amazing along with the staff and the gorgeous patio. Can't wait to come back and try more.

Yelp
The food was amazing! Our server Milio was amazing, very attentive. Our glasses were always filled. We did not make a reservation, we did a walk in for a table of 8 and luckily they were very accommodating. We sat in the patio upstairs area it's very well lit with nice view of the bay. The sun was setting so it was a little hot but after it set, the breeze was amazing. This place has been open for 4 1/2 weeks as we were told by our server, I cannot wait to come back to the island and try again!

Yelp
The bread was really good. Good service. Beautiful sunset views. Even though I thought the food was just okay, I would give the place another try.

Yelp
Great ambience; however both of our meals were not to standard of a higher establishment which Henrietta's claims to be. The management should review the source of the seafood; especially the salmon filet. The salmon was extremely salty and had a very strong fishy taste; additionally, the beef short rib ragú was extremely buttery. As an alternative, I would suggest F&B on SPI, or Manaraca in downtown Brownsville for an excellent 5 star experience!

Yelp
We ate there during the second week in October, 2025. We sat inside next to the bay front windows and they DID have blinds, so we were not blinded as a previous reviewer was. The food presentation was great and it tasted great, too! Our waitress was excellent. She knew the wines and came back periodically to check on us. My wife is gluten intolerant and she asked if they had any gluten free meals. Lo and behold, the waitress came back with a GF menu! My only complaint was the prices. Yes, it's expensive, but it's a nice place.

Yelp
Fantastic! Food was good. Wine was fantastic. Our service from Kim was amazing! Mike the wine guy was great. Thank you for such great service. We felt like we mattered to them. Right by the water. Great sunset views. We will be back!

Yelp
Great addition to the island. Food and service are both excellent. Love the Sea Bass.

Yelp
We were hesitant to try this new restaurant but we are so glad we did! We had Alan as our server and he was wonderful. Explained everything that we had questions on. We had soup (the braised short rib onion soup is wonderful!) and we had steak and the sea bass. The sea bass was melt in your mouth good. I highly recommend it.

Yelp
For all the places in South Padre, this was by far my favorite. If you're looking for a nice dinner out with a beautiful view, this is the spot. The food and drinks were excellent, and our waiter Robert (Bobby) was phenomenal--attentive, friendly, and made the experience even better. Highly recommend!

Yelp
The restaurant itself is stunning. I had high hopes and was excited to try it. I understand they haven't been open very long and you have to expect some kinks and those certainly existed. They seemed understaffed. But the most disappointing part was the food and drinks. We ordered off the specialty cocktail menu and I ordered a watermelon aperol spritz. I couldn't even drink it. The other cocktail my husband ordered was mediocre. The food was fair. Overall much better places to eat on the island such as F&B and the newly opened Captain's Cove.

Yelp
Henrietta's was a delight. So refreshing to have fine dining on SPI. Our server was knowledgeable, attentive, and had great suggestions for us. The Quattro Funghi on the app list is incredible, as was the Mixto Ceviche. Make sure to end your night with the carajillo. The strawberry cake wasn't my favorite, but everything else was fantastic, and the sunset view topped off the night!

Yelp
Fellow South Padre beach lovers who also love great food, ambiance and a first class experience must go to Henrietta's as soon as possible! This place opened about 6 weeks ago and we were very anxious to try it. It looks beautiful from the outside and we hoped the inside was the same. We absolutely loved everything about it. Our server, Alan, was quite possibly the best we have ever had. And hailing from Houston and many other traveled places, says a lot. Gorgeous water views from inside and so pretty at night also. But of course the delicious food took us over the top and earned this place a solid 5 star upscale dining experience. We took lots of pictures to show our other SPI lovers how wonderful everything was and to remind us to return very soon!

Yelp
The place is beautifully decorated, and that is where any positivity ends. The service is comically bad. I could recount no less than five incidents of abject incompetence in our barely one hour visit. I would recount each, but the saving grace for the staff is that they tried to be pleasant. I have soft spot for those that try. However, I did note a bizarre and unearned snootiness from the hostess station. The cocktail I ordered sounded good on paper, but it was not great. I cannot imagine ever requesting another one. The food itself is a puzzling effort at fusion cuisine. My entree wasn't horrible, but outside of its oddity, it was unmemorable. If you want some ideas to decorate your beach home, go have a drink to see how they put the place together. Don't go for the food, drink or service.

Cindy B.

Yelp
The restaurant is beautiful! I didn't go upstairs but maybe next time. My salmon was cooked perfectly but had a bit too much of some spice? Grilled lettuce was soggy due to sauce on the plate but the 3 spears of grilled asparagus were amazing! The service was good not great. I ordered a 2nd glass of wine which I probably didn't need anyway that I never got. My husband had the French onion soup that he loved except for a few chunks of fat. He also ordered some beef tacos that were served on house made delicious tortillas and pickled radishes. He wasn't a fan of the radishes so ate one taco. I will likely go back sometime and sit upstairs or outside for a drink and an appetizer. Unfortunately there was also a big boat docked there mostly obscuring our view of the sunset.

Yelp
Restaurant decor is nice, but is so loud that it was intolerable . The salad was swimming in too much dressing . The shrimp was overcooked, and so hot it was inedible . Drink Service was slow , food was delivered 1 hr after ordering . I had such high expectations and was so disappointed . The green beens with the braised short rib tasted like they were frozen . Prices were high for the quality and portion size .... Come on a few mashed potatoes wouldn't have cost them anything . Food wasn't not commiserate with price and quality . $400 not well spent !

Oscar D.

Yelp
A few things to consider. It's new so i understand the slow service but it was really really slow. The table behind us were either friends or someone famous because she was over there every two minutes. Food was pretty but cold. Drinks were cold which was good. Taste was fine but not for $120 for two people with a drink each. Wouldn't go back Viva and Sea ranch are a much better choice on the island. If you just want a great view and drinks. It's perfect

Kathy J.

Yelp
We ate at Henrietta's this afternoon. It was great! The restaurant is absolutely beautiful. The service was amazing. The food was beautiful and delicious. It was really different from what we eat at the usual restaurants we go to. The food was fresh and inventive. They start by providing a board with bread and three different flavored butters. For my meal I opted a cup of Cream of Mushroom soup and the Fattoush Salad. Both were delicious! My husband had the Beef Tapa Fajitas. They were served on red tortillas. Our server explained that they were corn tortillas that included beets. That's not the normal old tortilla we're used to! This restaurant will definitely be a favorite of ours whenever we visit South Padre Island!

Yelp
We were excited to try this new place, even canceled our F&B reservation. From the beginning, they were confused about our reservatio, took us to the table then turned us back to wait. Place was packed and for the sake of profit, tables were so close to each other that you had to be careful standing up. Food was the worse part of it. Shrimp was dry and cold, NY was of terrible quality, veiny, burger my kid left and didn't touch. Oysters were good and our server was also nice. Not coming back, will stick with F&B
