"This “tasca” style restaurant in the southern part of Rio de Janeiro showcases the best of Portuguese cuisine in a bright environment with a glass façade, open kitchen and Portuguese ceramic decoration. The cuisine on offer dispenses with unnecessary frills, focusing on the quality of the ingredients and dishes designed for sharing, among which the “biff-anas açorianas”, a crispy bread sandwich filled with pork escalope marinated in wine and garlic, stands out. As a main course, we recommend the tender octopus “a lagareiro” roasted in oil, served with onion confit and mashed potatoes, followed by the “toucinho do céu” made with egg yolks, almonds and cinnamon, an authentic Portuguese dish if ever there was one!" - Michelin Inspector

We visited the restaurant four times during our stay in Leblon. We tested a'la carte and daily menu, every time we were very happy. The food is excellent, the wine even better.I strongly recommend this place for everyone who likes good português food.

Highly recommend the sardines and cod sushi. The shrimp rice and duck rice were made fresh and generously portioned. Excellent customer service and very aesthetic restaurant

I am giving this alleged michelin star restaurant only 2 stars because of the terrible service. I am guessing that the host/manager treated us so poorly because we did not speak Portuguese. He slammed our food on the table several times. Never checked on us while we watched him go around the room and greet other guests. He only frowned at us, never gave us a smile. On the other hand, the waiter also did not speak English but was polite and patient with us. Lastly, the host/manager had the nerve to increase the total cost of the meal by 13% by handwriting the total on the printed receipt. The tip (service tax) portion of the receipt said "R$0" so he personally added 13% for a tip that he did not deserve. The glass of house white wine was not good and was incredibly sweet like a cheap glass of moscato. The food, however, was excellent. We had the squid in olive oil and garlic, steak sandwich and custard tart for dessert. It was comparable to my time spent in Lisbon. Unfortunately, because of the poor service, I would NOT recommend this restaurant, which was not worthy of the michelin star name.

I went in for lunch and really enjoyed the food, I've had quite a few bifanas in Portugal and growing up at family dinners, and the one here is probably the best one I've ever had. I also had the arroz de pato and that was good too. The service was friendly and they were definitely on top of things, almost too much, but the restaurant was nearly empty for my late lunch so they seemed like they were just trying hard to do a good job. The servers were also helpful with the menu and were patient dealing with my limited Portuguese . I'm pretty tempted to try some more food here during my short time in Rio because it was so good.

Seafood is excellent, would absolutely eat here again, skip the guava, it needs to be served with ice cream not goats cheese, the version at Giuseppe’s is way better

Charming spot in Leblon with very good seafood and great wine selection. We loved the chipirones and the steak sandwich appetizer.

Friendly and attentive service and delicious Portuguese food. Both the octopus and squid dishes were recommended by the waiter and they did not disappoint.
