Henry Loves Betty

This was my first time at Henry Loves Betty, and my puppy’s first haircut. I was a bit nervous at first because my pup is usually shy and skittish around new people. The moment I walked into the salon, I was greeted by Stephanie. She was wonderful- she explained everything to me, and was very kind and understanding. She asked what I was looking for with the haircut as far as length, style, etc. When she took Gracie in the back, she started to get a bit scared and was crying. Stephanie was so gentle and patient with her. Aislinn did her haircut, she did a wonderful job. She did exactly as I wanted, and what I requested. As soon as Gracie was done, she texted me with an update and notified me that she was ready to be picked up within a few hours of dropping her off. Thank you Aislinn and Stephanie for making Gracie’s first grooming a wonderful experience!

I cannot say enough amazing things about the Henry Loves Betty team! Over the last 3-4 years, we’ve utilized just about every service they offer- daycare, training, dog walks, grooming, boarding and social club (a genius feature). Our little corgi has been going to Henry Loves Betty since she was about a year old and she feels safe, is always exceedingly well cared for and I know they are sneaking in training sessions because she is so polite, responsive and social. We’ve moved 2 hours away and still try to bring our dog for grooming, boarding and daycare a few times a month. This team truly cares deeply for your pet and with our busy schedules we our so grateful that they are responsive and really work to help us manage our schedules without compromising quality of care for our fur baby. Social club has helped make Peach a braver pup and explore more! I love seeing her play in puddles, and become less adverse to water and rain because she’s had outdoor adventure fun with other dogs. Also, the community of pet parents and owners are so wonderful! Doggy birthdays, celebrating wins and just saying hi and asking about your pets when they see them. I can’t rave enough about the rest of the crew. Thank you so so so much

I have been lucky to have the support of the crew of HLB since I adopted my sweet Logan in 2017. They have always treated him like the special boy he is and given him lots of love and fun. When I have gone away without Logan I have felt completely at ease knowing he is more than well taken care of. His daycare days were the engagement and exercise he needed - wiping him by nighttime. Can’t say enough good things.

I have one dog and he is like my baby. Henry Loves Betty has been walking him for about 8+ years and his walks ALWAYS go well! I am always nervous about leaving him with others, but he has always been well cared for by Henry Loves Betty staff. I always recommend them to anyone looking for good pet care. Plus it's a Local Business! The picture below was taken while he was on his walk. I get pictures like this from every walk! His smile says it all!

Hi everyone! This was my first experience there and Stephanie was absolutely amazing. I had a dog that had three years of thick undercoat matted fur on her hindquarters and Stephanie took her time, was very gentle with my dog and I have a large dog, so the platform had to be close to the ground. She actually got my dog into the tub to get a bath!! I had my dog shaved down because her fur was so thick and there were no burn marks on her. There were no red marks from being too close with the razor, I was very happy with Stephanie and I will definitely be going back. And what a difference for my dog Serafina. She’s acting like a puppy now she’s not panting and hot all the time, she’s running around more. She’s so happy with her haircut and I’m so happy with Stephanie and Henry loves Betty. What a truly wonderful experience. Thank you so much

Henry Loves Betty has been a lifesaver since getting my dog Keene as a puppy last March. I can’t imagine going through the potty training stage without the help of their puppy program and daily walks. Now that he’s a bit older, I love sending him to daycare or social club to help keep him entertained and well socialized. They always give such thorough updates and I love getting pictures of Keene while I’m at work. I was SO happy to hear when they started offering dog grooming. Being that Keene is a doodle, I knew I’d need to find a trustworthy and reliable groomer for him to see regularly. Keene started first with a few puppy trims to get him comfortable with being groomed and handled, and then transitioned into getting full, adult cuts. My favorite thing about their grooming is that it’s only Aislinn and your dog there when they’re getting groomed. This not only allows for less distractions that could overwhelmed an uncomfortable dog, but means that Aislinn’s full attention is on your dog. Keene and I have both had such positive experiences with her grooming—with him being so excited to see her and “hangout”, and me always being impressed with how great he looks after. Overall, the whole staff is phenomenal at HLB! They are all so knowledgeable and truly treat your dog with so much love. If you’re considering using any of HLB’s services, I highly recommend—you will not be disappointed!!

Aislinn has been grooming our mini goldendoodle since he’s been a puppy and always does a fantastic job! She really cares and is so patient. Would highly recommend!

Nothing but wonderful praise for Paula and the loving care and attention she always gives to Zoey when she’s boarding! I used to worry about Zoey being stuck in a kennel for days on end with no exercise, love and attention. Not anymore! I get photos and updates every day and in every picture, my pup is smiling and living her best life! Hands down, THE BEST PLACE for boarding! Thank you Paula ❤️

This is a great place to bring your dog for the most part. The staff truly care about the animals and are very communicative with owners about any issues. The owner seems like she honestly cares about the animals but she disregards many employee concerns. It is not an ideal place to work. Employees are often not communicated with until last minute about staying beyond their designated shift and they are asked to perform tasks well outside of their hired job description. For example, incubating and raising ducks and chickens inside the bathroom of the business. This also led to the heat lamp blowing from being left on all the time, and causing a small fire that was thankfully caught by another employee before it caused any damage to people, the dogs or the building. The ducks and chickens remained even after. The entire bathroom was virtually unusable as the ducks and chickens were allowed to roam around defecating on the floor.

When HLB opened in Troy it was a godsend for my two fur babies. Back in 2020, I owned 40.00 for pet visits. Then COVID happened, I got laid off after I had moved. I didn't find work for months. It was a terrible time. And I forgot about the debt because I was barely getting by. Now that I'm back on better ground, I paid my debt and requested a pet visits for my senior doxy. Paula declined and stated she informed a fellow pet service of my debt. It is her right to decline but purposely trying to sabotage me getting service from someone else is truly mean spirited.

The most adorable little dog shop! My first time there was during the Victorian Stroll this past December. I had at that time purchased the most adorable little monster sweaters for my little monsters. Tonight I stopped in during Troy Nigh Out because I heard Mugzy's Barkery was there selling homemade, all natural and organic dog treats. I spoke with the lovely owner of HLB and Jaimie from Mugzy's for some time and then walked around the shop trying hard to restrain myself from buying everything in sight. The shop is clean and the owner is an absolute doll. I wish I got down that way more often, but this will always be high on my list of places to stop when I do.

Very cute little pet store. The selection is pretty small, but the store is small, and all the products are definitely high quality. The owner was very responsive to suggestions on products to carry. They had locally made collars (Bull in a Collar Shop) and the collars were really well made. I would return to her store. When we first went she really only had stuff for small dogs, but now the owner is carrying stuff for bigger dogs too. (Yay!). Updated to add that the owner is really great, super customer oriented and the store dogs no longer bark! Yay! We have a Lab and usually bring her to all stores, but we leave her home to visit Henry Loves Betty just because the store is so small and we worry about her tail knocking things over. But if your dog is less than 25 pounds it shouldn't be a problem.

Henry Loves Betty is our go-to dog walker and pet sitter. They're reliable, great communicators, and my dog absolutely adores Paula, Katrina, and the rest of the crew. We've also used their in-home petsitting services and are so happy to have them! It makes such a different to be able to leave your pets in the care of people you absolutely trust.

Without a doubt The moment I walked Into this pet boutique I felt a positive energy in the air. Meeting Paula and a very ill puppy who she took in to save from being put to sleep, I found out later she found the dog home. She is nonetheless a very caring individual infectious easily filled with love for animals. Oh not to mention her boutique is killer! No pun intended but I felt like I was back in Manhattan! Excellent prices and goodies for your pet!

Our mini-dachshund loves going to the doggie daycare at the Albany location. The doggie daycare is located in a beautiful brownstone with a nicely fenced in backyard for the dogs to play. Our dachshund is able to socialize and when we pick her up, she is exhausted from playing all day. Paula, Meghan and Gabi are wonderful.

Henry loves Betty's dog walking service is excellent. I have a Jack Russell who needs to be exercised regularly and I work long hours, so I hired their service to come to my home and walk Rosie once or twice a week as needed. They are sweet, prompt, and affordable. My dog loves Paula and Emily, and so do I.

My dog and I both love Henry Loves Betty! The boutique is stocked with lots of high-quality toys and treats, and Paula (the owner) makes the sweetest dog/cat collars and harnesses. I was pleased to find out that Henry Loves Betty now offers dog walking services in Albany. I had a great experience, as the service they provide is professional and incredibly personal. I can't say enough good things about Henry Loves Betty! Whenever Max meets new people, they always compliment his collar, and I have to tell them all about this adorable boutique. Paula carries nothing but the best quality treats, toys and essentials, and her pet sitting services are amazing! She took such great care of my hedgehog while I was away that I came home to a calmer critter. If you want to spoil your fuzzy friend, or need a walker or sitter that will spoil your fuzzy friend as much as you do, bring them here!

My pets love Paula from Henry Loves Betty pet sitting, even my skittish Shiba Inu who has a very small number of human friends . I can always count on Paula to be available when I need her, she's reliable, friendly, and takes excellent care of my pets including sending pictures and updates when I'm away. I feel completly comfortable leaving them in her care which is the most important part of a good pet sitter! I can't recommend them enough!

I cannot say enough good things about Henry Loves Betty! They go above and beyond to make sure that my pup is happy when I have to work or need a vacation with their dog walking and pet sitting service. They are prompt, professional, and passionate about what they do. Clover and I are so lucky to have them right down the street!

Paula is a great owner. Love going in and seeing the animals she is fostering. My rescue LOVES getting her ice cream treats. The moment I say it she knows where we are going. If you are an animal lover check out this cute boutique.
