⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Brooklyn Living, Hotel Style Staying at Henry Norman felt less like checking into a hotel and more like borrowing a very cool friend's Greenpoint loft — if that friend also happened to own two vintage taxis and a bronze sculpture of a dog and bunny riding a scooter. (Yes, really. And yes, you WILL stop and photograph them.) VIBE: Set inside a converted 19th-century warehouse, the hotel nails that industrial-meets-livable Brooklyn energy without feeling staged. The lobby hits you with warm, colorful walls and just enough historical and artistic detail to make you slow down and actually look at things. THE ROOM: My room felt less like a hotel suite and more like a high-end Brooklyn apartment. It was furnished with an eclectic mix of curated art and a reclaimed wood coffee table that gave it a soul. The layout was impressively functional: a full kitchen (complete with a compact fridge and dishwasher!) that made the space feel liveable and right-sized. LOCATION: You're in Greenpoint's more industrial stretch, so don't expect the most postcard-Brooklyn block outside your door. But walkable bars, restaurants, and McGolrick Park? All there. And Williamsburg is right next door. SERVICE: The front desk staff were polite and welcoming from check-in to checkout. OVERALL: If you want to actually feel like you're living in Brooklyn — not just passing through it — Henry Norman delivers. Great for solo travelers, creatives, or anyone done with the standard hotel experience.

We had a great experience here: 1) I don't usually interact much with staff at hotels, but I wasn't familiar with Greenpoint and was traveling with a friend who likes to ask for advice, and I must say, the guys at the front desk (I'm sorry I didn't get their names) were phenomenal. So friendly and helpful! Really made for a wonderful experience. 2) The suites with full kitchens here are a rare find, and fully stocked with what you need for cooking. 3) The deluxe loft suite was great for traveling with a friend - a partially separated bedroom and a pull out sleeper sofa in the main room. While perhaps not 100% as comfortable as a real bed, I actually slept great on the sleeper sofa. (When pulled out, we did have to move chairs to make room for the bedroom person to walk through during the night, but it worked out.) We had a third floor suite, facing the interior courtyard, and it was super quiet. 5) There was a little shared terrace on the third floor with a couple tables and chairs. It was a delightful place to sit out, especially in the evening to watch the sunset and views of Manhattan. ) 6) Greenpoint is a fun and interesting neighborhood - residential but also walking distance to restaurants and coffeeshops. About a 10 - 12 minute walk to the G train - Nassau stop.

Positive: Location close to where I was travelling. Negative: Active construction going on inside the hotel. Dust related to construction no properly contained. Staff did not make any effort to accommodate us to a room with less exposure to dust, asI have severe allergies. Lounge not usable due to construction

Henry Norman Hotel is about a 10 to 15 minute walk from the Nassau Ave G train stop. Service is in the hotel is good. The rooms are cute and very spacious. I love the loft style. Most eateries are on Manhattan Ave. Though it has Manhattan views you can only access it from the outdoor terrace not the roof. Though, the terrace is a small space, its nice to see the views. The hotel is small but its very well kept. The gym area is decent as well. My only con with hotel is the connection with the TV was hit or miss. It would lose its connection n take a while to get its signal. All in all, I was happy with my stay.

I stayed at the Henry Norman Hotel from 10/31/25-11/3/25. The style of this hotel is like none other that I’ve ever seen. As you walk in to the lobby, it is as if you’ve been transported to a different world of modern, yet classic-western vs industrial. I got there on Halloween and it was perfectly decorated to fit the style, with skeletons, cobwebs and hanging candlesticks! I love eclectic vibes and this did the job! 👍🏼|The room is basically a one bedroom apartment, which is probably even bigger than some apartments in NY. It was so clean and spacious, it literally felt like home and even has a full kitchen! There is a market a few blocks away, but you can also use a delivery app if you don’t want to go out. |The staff is AMAZING! From the night I got in, exhausted from a long flight, to the day I hated to check out…|Shoutout to Sam, Jory, Jalyn, Kenny, Abbie and manager Nigel! You are all wonderful people! I would give 10 stars out of 5 if I could! |I WILL most definitely be back! ❤️

Very chill hotel with great atmosphere. We were there in a very cold period (-6C on average), and I think the rooms are not so well isolated, because it took a while to get the room warm. Overall very nice experience. 13 minutes walk to the metro station, very easy and feels very safe.

Checked in for a short weekend and was pleasantly surprised. The front desk was friendly and efficient, helping with local tips and a quick luggage hold. My room was clean, well-lit, and pleasantly compact with a comfy bed and decent shower. The building has a low-key, relaxed vibe-quiet hallways and casual common spaces. Rates were very reasonable for the area, excellent value for a tidy, hassle-free stay.

Spacious rooms, pleasant staff. We had huge room with high ceiling, large bathroom, very clean. Subpar breakfast. You can skip option for included breakfast with your reservation, there are more nice spots around the area. And most important drawback, place is pricey. 400$ for a one night stay in Brooklyn, that is totally overpriced.
