This is a great DAYTIME restaurant, affiliated with the phenomenal Breakers Hotel (it's offsite). The only thing is, it's far too LOUD TO THE MAX AT NIGHT (unless you follow a little "trick" because the music they play is monotonous, not chilled out, constant beats beats beats...is this because they want to turn over tables to the next set of diners??? If so, not cool, Henry! The choice of music here has the power to make you feel like...you can't wait to get out of the place! C'mon guys, why not play Jazz or French Chanson music for your sophisticated clientele, how about it! As an OG longtime guest at The Breakers, when did Palm Beach decide to emulate Miami???
I expected more in terms of atmosphere when I heard that Henry's is affiliated with The Breakers.
What I DO like is the wonderful management and staff, the warm welcome that I always receive by Nyah at the Front Entrance, the super nice Valet parking staff (todo tiene saborrrr ) and the fact that The Breakers' own shuttle van will transport you to their hotel after your meal to enjoy its magnificent Italian-inspired Architecture and opulent interiors.
My favorite dish at Henry's is the "SHAVED CAULIFLOWER SALAD", the cauliflower is shaved paper-thin, so is the fresh Parmesan that appears on top, Marcona Almonds are part of the act too but there's not too many of them, normally, diced dates are included (I skip that and the Honey-based dressing because my sugar levels tend to run high - probably because I'm so darn sweet! ) . You can ask for Olive Oil and Lemon Wedges to make a DIY dressing at the table (and sorry, they won't make it for you, I asked, on two different occasions.) Their Onion Rings are a MUST TRY, they are served on a cool contraption that looks like a paper towel holder you might have in your kitchen., these onion rings are HUGE and are lightly given what tastes like some kind of Horseradish Cheese YUM. Come to their mid-week Happy Hour when they're not $20/per order.
The "funniest" thing on the menu is their Key Lime Pie which they offer for a whopping $19/slice!!! My guess is that this is how the "not yet nice" older single guys "seal the deal" on a date . I was treated to a slice of that Key Lime Pie - it's pretty great!!!
The waitress Ellefy is a wonderful server (request her!) and tonight, on my 4th visit to Henry's, I finally figured out the BEST way to enjoy this LOUD restaurant at nightl! Simply ask for one of their COURTYARD TABLES under Palm Trees and near the sound of a beautiful Spanish-style fountain. ¡Ay, que romantico!' What a pleasure to not sit in their noisy main dining rooom...(the volume is only of issue at night., to be fair).
NOTE: Henry's @Brunch an entirely different experience. But the staff is not equal to what I've experienced at The Breakers, it's lacking sophistication (aside from its beautifully designed interior(?and its' too cacophonous to be either elegant or hip.
Say hi to Nyah at the Front Desk. And, tell her to follow her dreams of becoming a Surgeon! In the meantime, WEAR EARPLUGS if your coming for dinner or, try to reserve a small table OUTSIDE.
