Here Hai

We arrived on a Saturday morning at 9:35am just before they opened. Good to arrive earlier to make the first round of seating. Organized staff, great food, a must try. We ordered the crab omelette, crab fried rice, grilled river prawns, and Stir-fried cabbage with fish sauce and pork crackling Omelette was delicious and creamy. There's a light sauce added on top, like a soy? With rich flavours. But the sweetness of the crab meat were apparent. It's exactly what you would expect. Crab tastes like crab. Egg tastes like egg. Fried rice had a nice wok-hey aroma. Which is that bold burned smell/taste you experience when they use scalding hot flames to cook the rice. We loved it. River prawns are nice. The meat texture is more like a lobster than a shrimp. Nice size for 690baht. They let the flavours of the shrimp stand out with the orange head butter. Light and sweet. Our most surprising addition. The cabbage. Who knew such a simple dish could be so enjoyable. Tasty cabbage in a delicious sauce accented by the crispiness of the pork crackling.

The crab fried rice is just amazing. I loved every bite and wish I had ordered more. The picture is of the medium size which was great for one person. That green chili sauce in the back is also a secret star of the show. It’s one of those places that is worth the hype…and queue. I chose to go at 15:50 before they opened at 16:00 and so only had to wait 10 minutes as everyone in line could get in.

ABSOLUTELY MUST TRY THIS PLACE IF YOU’RE IN BANGKOK Yes its off the beaten path, yes its tiny and you’ll probably have to wait in line and yes its cash only (which for me is a sign of a good restaurant) but it’s AMAZING. I suggest arriving during their mid day break from 3-4, my wife and I arrived at 335pm and we were 3rd in line. By time doors opened it was 20 deep and there are only 9 tables. The crab fried rice is the best I’ve ever had. You must go here.

This was the best meal we had on this particular trip to Bangkok. We didn’t have to wait too long to be seated which was a good thing because we were hungry. The crab fried rice was superb. There was a lot of crab meat and the quality was excellent. We also ordered the mantis shrimp, grilled giant river prawn and crab spring rolls which totally hit the spot. Highly recommended!

Love the food here! Arrived at 10:15am and waited for less than an hour - fair enough for the waiting time. Ordered the crab meet omelette and garlic mantis shrimp - both are delicious. Crab meet spring rolls were average so does not recommend. It took more than 20mins to service the dishes but the service team was doing their best to manage the customer demands.

The foods are not as legendary tasty. It's good but not a wow type of tasty. If no need to queue for 1 or 2 hours it is worth to try. But if need to queue, I recommend you to skip or just take away might be a bit faster. The crab was fresh but do not have the sweet fresh taste. The mantis shrimp also not amazing me. They taste sweet because they added sugar while cooking. But the orange juice is super nice. It can freshen you up. While waiting they supply ice oolong tea to cool you down.

The restaurant was extremely crowded. I arrived at 10 a.m. and had to wait 45 minutes for a table. After being seated, we ordered almost immediately but still had to wait another 45 minutes for the food to arrive. There was a table with just one person who came in after us, but their food was served much earlier. It seems the restaurant has too many takeaway orders, so dine-in customers have to wait a very long time. Regarding the food, the crab rice with omelette was the best dish. However, the salt-roasted mantis shrimp and butter sauce prawns were quite average and not particularly special.

Came here at 1:30pm and could not get a seat before they had a break at 3pm. Asked us to come back and line up when they re-opened at 4pm. Well came back at 3pm to line up again. Lucky we did this as the line was long before the reopening. Ordered their most popular dishes lump crab meat fried rice, the 2x types mantis shrimp, crab meat omelette, and one of their vegetable dishes. They ran out of their grilled river prawns ☹️ So ordered their garlic scallops. OMG their lump crab meat fried rice was insanely good. The crab meat had no fishy taste and was a neutral, sweet taste. The crab omelette tasted what I thought it would taste. An omelette with an insane amount of crab meat on top. But the garlic mantis shrimp was probably the best tasting out of all the dishes. The crispy garlic was so good that it would get rid of any vampires 🧛 lurking around. This place lived up to its hype. The service was brisk and the staff were all like speedy Gonzales. Definitely one for the foodie bucket list of Bangkok!!
