Yelp
My experience at Heritage was warm and welcoming, with an inviting, upscale bar and American food vibe. The farm-to-table concept is evident, and the ambiance felt perfect for a relaxed evening. The service was exceptional--our server was incredibly attentive and knowledgeable, adding a great touch to the overall experience.
As for the food, while everything was fresh, a few dishes fell short of my expectations. The grass-fed burger, though made with quality beef and a nice brioche bun, lacked the depth of seasoning and flavor I was hoping for, even with the truffle fries. The mac 'n' cheese, while creative, felt overwhelmed with non-cheese ingredients like mushrooms and peppers, and the flavors didn't quite come together as I'd expected. The chicken croquettes were crispy on the outside, creamy on the inside, and definitely a highlight of the meal, though the presentation could've been better. Lastly, the hot chicken was juicy but overpowered by an overly sweet sauce that masked the natural flavor of the dish.
Overall, I'd love to come back and give Heritage another shot, especially with their focus on locally sourced, fresh ingredients. I'm hoping it was just an off night.
