"Gibson Guitars may be associated with Nashville, but its roots are in Kalamazoo. The iconic instrument company was started by Orville Gibson in 1917 and was headquartered in Kalamazoo until 1984. At that point, some senior employees who chose not to make the move to Nashville bought the space and remaining equipment and started Heritage Guitar, which makes high-end custom guitars to this day. They’re undergoing some renovations at the moment, so factory tours are on hold, but folks can pop into the showroom during the week (though it’s best to call ahead to make sure someone is available)." - Vox Creative

I bought a Heritage H-150 at the urging of my son, as a proud owner of 5 Gibson guitars, I was pretty solid on my preference for Gibson, but I went ahead and purchased the H-150 and I was blown away!!! Excellent instrument, and awesome quality and playability. I will definitely buy another Heritage and recommend them to anyone looking for a great guitar. Thanx for such an awesome guitar and keep up the great work. Vince Fry

Received a complete lemon of a guitar from Heritage. Dealer expects to refund it at my expense, and Heritage has been completely unsympathetic to the situation. Completely unacceptable for a multi-thousand dollar instrument

Some of the best guitars made today. While Gibson's quality goes down, the Heritage guitars just keep getting better and better. Some of the finest craftsman work here. I am a proud Heritage owner and it won't be my last!!!!

During the renovations of the building the tours were postponed. I happened to be traveling east toward the Kalamazoo area, and sent an email asking if on the off chance I could pop by and just see the historic site. I got a response back from Jeremy, stating that he could likely set it up. I was set to go by on a Friday, but got hung up crossing Chicago on my trip east and arrived after hours. To my dismay, I had missed out. I felt so bad about being late after all Jeremy had done so much to set me up for a personal tour. I sent him an apology note. I got back an email from Jeremy with an appointment to go in on the Saturday The production manager, Derrick gave me and my wife an amazing off work hours, personal tour. This is the best customer service that I have ever experienced, anywhere. I'm currently a Hertige guitar owner, but this kind of service seals the deal for me. My next guitar will for certain be a Heritage. Not only for this kind of great customer service but for the hand built quality and dedication that goes into ever guitar. I recommend Hertige to any player looking for a great life long instrument. Unbeatable build, backed by superior service, what more could a musician ask for? Thank you Heritage for your great commitment to making such fine guitars.

A tour here is absolutely recommended for anyone interested in guitars. We got to see every part of the production, starting from thickness-planing the wood, through manually shaping the neck, routing the body and all the way to lacquering and buffing. Even got to play a prototype anniversary model that was absolutely perfect!
