"A five-star property in an old transformer station, Hotel Herman K brings industrial-chic style to the heart of Copenhagen . Much of the building’s raw, unpolished architecture has been preserved, lending the hotel an edgy vibe. A façade of dark bronze slats and large glass doors leads to the lobby, where a custom-designed artwork by Pio Diaz hangs from 40-foot ceilings. Down moody, dimly lit hallways, each of the 31 rooms and suites hides behind a black curtain, which is pulled aside for the duration of your stay. Inside, sleek furniture, soft carpets, and concrete walls contrast with white marble bathrooms, creating an altogether futuristic feeling. In fact, guests can even control the lights and sound from bed via panels in the headboard or steam their home media directly to the TV and speakers. If you need a break from all the technology, many rooms also include private balconies or terraces. Herman K comes courtesy of Brøchner Hotels (Denmark’s leading boutique hotel chain) and features many of the company’s signature amenities, including a healthy, organic breakfast and a “night cap hour” with complimentary drinks. Should guests want something more substantial, Herman K is also home to Roxie, a three-story restaurant from the team behind two-Michelin-starred Nordic restaurant Kadeau."
This place is fantastic. Small boutique hotel (I think 30 rooms approx) which is in a renovated electrical substation. It has an industrial charm with the original metal shutters still on show In reception and much of the bare concrete sub floor remaining. The common spaces and rooms however are modern, stunning and well equipped. We had a junior suite with large sliding windows which we left open to enjoy the laughter and music from the hotels Terrace two floors below us. The bed was enormous! The TV rose at the press of a button from the foot of the bed ... On the Friday we were invited to enjoy pizzas and drinks on the Terrace with a DJ providing a musical backdrop... Breakfast = fantastic (Danish sized portions which makes a lovely change from UK super size!) fresh well prepared food served by smiling staff. This is exactly what a top end hotel should be. Unpretentious, welcoming and friendly. I genuinely wished we could have stayed for a fortnight

This hotel is sensational! You are truly treated from the moment you walk through the door!|Check in was easy, the staff are incredible- recommended restaurants for us… you must try Maven! |Breakfast was beautiful… breads, cheese, meats, the nicest granola, fruit, yogurt, fresh juices- and then to top it off you can order fresh eggs with additions- bacon, tomato, mushrooms! |The room was cosy, but that didn’t stop it being perfect! Mouthwash and water is brought to you every day. There are Molton brown products to use and tea and coffee.|The staff are exceptional. We had a couple of drinks in the bar as we just wanted to spend more time there! |The thing that really topped off our trip was that on departure we were going to miss breakfast as easyJet changed our flight.|The staff made us breakfast to go which was absolutely the best surprise when we unwrapped it at the airport!!! |We will be back as we loved the hotel so much! |Thank you

Super well located, cool lobby, great staff. Rooms are small but we got upgraded to a penthouse which was fabulous as it had two stories with a loft and terrace, except its view was a wall and you hear the elevator. Only complaint is that the carpet was stained. Great breakfast and the staff was amazing!!

Very pretty hotel in the heart of the city. The Staff is super nice. Viktoria at the front desk welcomed me with a warm smile and was able to accommodate all my requests. Cecilia and Frederick at the breakfast were also very nice. Overall the place is very nice, well furnished, the toilet complementary set is a fantastic molton brown scent, the bathrobe is good quality and soft, I also appreciated the Dyson air dryer.|Great staff, great place.

The pillows and mattress are soft and comfortable. The duvet is breathable yet warm The decor is sophisticated and the amenities are top-notch. The hotel offers complementary bikes, as well as has a wide array of snacks, beverages, and amenities. The pillow talk menu is spectacular. I cannot wait to book another stay! What set this hotel apart from the rest the is so amenable and just the kindest people you have ever met. They are truly exceptional at providing excellent customer service. This is a true danish experience very warm and inviting.

Our stay was simply perfect. The location of the hotel is the best if you want to go by walk to everywhere. The team was amazing, the breakfast was delicious and the room had all we need. We highly recommend Herman K if you want a great experience in Copenhague.

Yelp
This Brand new Scandinavian-chic hotel is located in a former power station. We were lucky to book a room for a decent price before the hotel opened and even luckier to stay in a room that has barely been slept in before (if at all). As is pretty much par for the course in this part of the world, the room (a double standard) was small, but comfortable and almost zen in its cleanliness. We had everything we needed located near the bed, including all charge stations for phones that have USB ports and various ways to hook up ones' devices to the television. Also included in this room were Ren bath products, soft towels, a hair dryer, and a tea kettle with a small selection of teas/coffees. In the lobby (and also where you check in) is a bar lounge and an award-winning restaurant. The breakfast looked healthy and delicious, but we opted to explore places to eat nearby. Best of all, they offer a happy hour and night cap, free to guests. Plus, their staff are exceedingly courteous and helpful. The only issue I have is the lack of a "do not disturb" sign to put on the doorknob and the minimalist decor, which though pretty, is not practical when you are trying to find space to stash your stuff.

Yelp
We stayed in this recently opened small boutique hotel on 2 nights during a heat wave. We really appreciated the a.c. which is unusual in CPH. Our small room, one of the smallest, was sleek yet comfortable modern Danish design. Well-designed, great mattress, good charging features so size was not really a problem. Excellent rainhead shower. Hotel staff were engaging, helpful, friendly and professional to the max. The breakfast was the best we ever had in a hotel. Fresh organic fruits, veggies, smoothies, cooked items, etc. etc. Wide selection. The co-located restaurant Roxie offers top notch new Nordic food. We had a tasting menu with no meat. Wonderful service. Great location. Overall excellent stay!!!
