The hotel is located in the centre of Corfu town, which makes it ideal for the ones interested on sightseeing the old town. The nearest bus station for Dassia is 2 minutes walking, and the main Spianada square is at most 10 minutes walking.|It is good for low budget travellers, even through high season months. The personnel is very very helpful, and in fact they really helped us way beyond their duties. Thank you!|Not your type of hotel if you are looking for luxurious fancy resorts next to the seaside. Definitely your type of hotel if you are looking for a clean and peaceful place to sleep at the end of your exhausting day, without spending a fortune.

I didn't stay at the hotel, but Elena (I believe that's her name!) at the front desk allowed me to store my luggage there while I had a 7-hour layover in Corfu (at no charge!). She even offered to store my laptop separately in a safe behind the desk. The lobby and dining area looked super cute and clean, and the location was SO convenient to all the old town attractions and the bus to the airport/ferry terminal. Next time I'm in Corfu, I'll be staying here!

Cab dropped us off at the Hermes. We had made no plans ahead of time. We thought the price was a little high so we put on our backpacks and headed into Old Town to find something cheaper. We walked for 2 hours and never came upon another hotel. Not even with directions from locals. So we went back to the Hermes begrudgingly. Hotel is decent. I thought a little overpriced but the rooms were clean and nicely furnished. Bathroom was spotlessly clean. I actually liked staying at the Hermes. Front desk was not overly friendly but efficient enough. One rather unpleasant detail is that they smoke at the desk as they are checking you into your room. Sometimes two people smoking at the same time and perhaps 2 or 3 people smoking in the dining room not 5 feet away. You check in for your room in a haze of cigarette smoke. I find that a bit rude but I know Europeans do not. And one more thing. We were there in the late summer which was miserably hot and the rooms had fantastic air-conditioning

I arrived here for a 2 night break alone and the young receptionist was so kind and made me feel safe and helped me with anything I needed. They are at reception 24hrs which is reassuring for a young woman alone and were all women so again made me feel safe. All in all I would definitely recommend this hotel. Well priced and clean and had everything I needed and incredibly central.

We go to Paxos every summer and sometimes our flights are such that we need a place to stay in corfu overnight on our way to Paxos and sometimes in reverse. We always stay at the Hermes, its very central, a 2 minute walk into town, breakfast is very basic, rolls and jam, coffee is good though. Good price too, budget hotel.

Corfu town is beautiful and this hotel is great value for money right in the centre of it all. Close to great coffee, bakeries, the market, the new fort, old town- everything. I'd definitely recommend staying in town in Corfu- such a highlight, and rent a car to go to the beaches. Highly recommended.

Basic accommodation. No extras or something special. Rather expensive for what you get; 60 euros a night for a double bed and no breakfast. However the location is perfect for those seeking a corfu town settlement. Reasonably clean but you can hear everything from next door!

Well it's hôtel for whose who love old fashioned places, where's no kettles, no microwave owen, not much decoration on the walls, only one channel on TV, the shatters are very old and don't close up well, and lots of noise from the outside, though the smoking is accepted ... Less to be desired
