"One of the few restaurants around that is owned by its sommeliers, Hermetikken is unsurprisingly characterised by its superb wine selection, with an impressive array of producers on the list. It’s not all about the wine though, as the cooking proves to be a fitting counterpart. The chefs’ skills lie in finding well-judged contrasts and mining depth of flavour from just a few ingredients; duck served in three ways (succulent breast, rich ragout and full-flavoured sausage) is the perfect encapsulation of these considerable talents." - Michelin Inspector

Felt like having a fancy meal at a loved one’s house. The food: I have no words to describe how delicious this meal was, every course was a stunning surprise. I have never tasted such a beautiful array of flavours throughout a meal or genuinely enjoyed so many different courses and flavours. Each dish was better than the last and presented perfectly. The chefs are clearly extremely talented and it was nice to be served some of our dishes by them. The people: The second you enter the restaurant you can feel the relaxed, warm and cosy atmosphere. We were greeted with a very warm welcome and were sat down with wine in our glasses almost immediately. We received exceptionally friendly service and enjoyed our conversations with all those serving us throughout the meal. The personnel are incredibly knowledgeable and went above and beyond to ensure we enjoyed our meal. We even received a signed card to celebrate our honeymoon, which was a lovely touch. Thank you so much to the whole team for serving us such a lovely honeymoon meal and creating wonderful memories.

I recently dined at that restaurant and I was absolutely delighted with my experience. This restaurant offers an omakase menu that is simply exceptional, and every dish I tasted was a true work of culinary art. Among the dishes, I particularly loved the hamachi with ponzu, which was both fresh and flavorful. The combination of tomato and raw prawns was a refreshing delight, while the scallops were perfectly cooked, melting in my mouth with an incredible texture. The lobster was also a highlight, prepared with care to enhance its delicate flavor. For dessert, the raspberry and vanilla soufflé was a sweet marvel, combining lightness and intensity. The selection of wines by the glass was excellent, featuring a well-chosen array that complemented each dish perfectly. The service was top notch professional and attentive while remaining warm and friendly. The atmosphere of the restaurant is both relaxed and chic, providing an ideal setting for a memorable dinner. Overall, I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a refined and enjoyable dining experience. It is a true culinary gem!

We came across this place after som research and decided to book a table for 4. The location is cosy with friendly and knowledgeable staff. We decided to go for the 5 course dish and it was delicious. All regards to the chef for creating a tasteful combination and a wine pairing that was spot on. This is probably a hidden treasure in Stavanger and well worth a try. Next time I will go for the full tasting experience.

What a night at the new Michelin spot! Dish after dish of pure deliciousness, great paired wines, and service that shines. MC ensured every detail was flawless. Five stars without a doubt—can’t wait to return!

We chose the Oma(k)ase menu. The food was extremely well presented and served in a timely manner by friendly staff. Some courses were excellent, others a little simplistic for the price (2195 nok, wine in addition. Note: the half wine package is equivalent to 2 standard glasses of wine, price 1495 nok). We were surprised to have lamb served twice in the same menu, as we felt the chance was lost to showcase a different meat dish. Portions are small, especially the desserts which perhaps in would be better described as petit four rather than 3 courses of dessert. Overall a little underwhelmed. Perhaps when booking, call and check what is on the menu that night as the menu is not advertised on the website.
