Hernandez Mexican food

Been doing construction on the bank across the street and need lunch. Stopped in and grabbed some tacos and beans and rice. Really good fresh tasting taco. Stopped in again and got the Wet Burrito and that was awesome. Probably one of the best ones I’ve had. It’s just a nice place to eat and the people are very friendly. Definitely stop in again

Stopped in for lunch on a whim and was pleasantly surprised. This is a very small restaurant, but the food has big flavor. We both ordered wet burritos, I had chicken and he had chicken and pork. The food was delicious but the hot sauce was a little too spicy for me. I would order it on the side for myself next time. The portions were good, we ate about half of our burritos and were stuffed. The staff was very friendly and answered all of our questions with a smile.

This is my family’s favorite place to eat!!!!! My daughter and I go once a week for lunch!!!! They are super friendly, the food is amazing, and calm environment! You get your moneys worth for sure. Will definitely continue going and definitely recommend!! ❤️

Lesson learned, never again. If people are okay paying almost $10 for what is " a super burrito " then you can go right ahead. That super burrito is a little larger than a basic taco. No steak options, just ground beef, basic crap that you see at every other Mexican restaurant that pops up around Lapeer. Never again. The only thing authentic about this place is the accent of a single worker there.

Awesome, awesome tacos! I would've took a picture but I ate them too quick. Highly recommend the citrus steak street tacos. Very friendly environment 👍 Will definitely be back soon!

I visited here on the weekend for the first time and was not disappointed! Cute, local, and friendly inside. The meats were very tender. The tortillas were warmed great. I loved their street corn side. As if the meal alone wasn't already great enough, I decided to get their tres leches cake and it was AMAZING. I will be going back just for the cake alone, but will be sure to try out their other items as well.

I recently ordered carry out and the food was excellent! Staff was friendly and shared interesting facts about the handed down recipes that they prepare. I highly recommend having dinner there or even ordering carryout.

Thank you all for such a wonderful experience. We ordered catering for a 20 person make your own taco/nacho bar. The food was delivered on time. Was piping hot, was more than enough for all to eat plus leftovers. The beef, rice and beans were absolutely delicious. The chips and salsas were out of this world. We live in Sterling Heigjts but purchased catering for a party being hosted at my in laws. The entire process was seamless and wonderful. It was delicious and affordable. I cannot comment on the restaurant itself because I haven't been there. I searched "Mexican lapeer" came across them...gave em a call...and the rest was a dream come true.

Stopped in for lunch today had a wet burrito with chips and guacamole, and the wife had chicken tacos. Very good. Would recommend anybody to stop and try. They usually have a food truck in Lapeer Dayz now you can get them anytime of the year....

Food is phenomenal - ground beef and hot sauce are a must. Family run and it really seems like they care.

This is the worst excuse for Mexican food ever. No spices bland and nothing good about the food at all. The salsa looked and tasted like they put a can of tomato paste in a bowl. No seasoning or cilantro in any of the food. The refried beans was bland and tasted old. Nothing was home made and the taco shells and chips were store bought. Never go here if you want Mexican food. We threw our food in the trash after 3 bites. What a waste.
