Héroine Restaurant & Bar

Had a delightful dinner at Héroine. This restaurant is located near the center of Rotterdam. The atmosphere is great and the waiters are well educated about the different dishes and provide a detailed explanation of every course. This restaurant changes menu every 1-2 months and they never fail to amaze. They also have vegetarian options available.

Contemporary & simplicity 5 surprising courses🍽 Interesting contemporary fine dining rather than traditional fine dining. I liked the creativity - “new concept” of the fine dining, interior, staffs & atmosphere. However, there was no wow factor in the flavor but definitely worth to try!

We had an amazing experience the cocktails where amazing and the wine selection is excellent with really reasonable prices. The 7th course Menu was absolutely amazing and also reasonably priced. The staff was very attentive. After the dinner we felt full but not stuffed. However if you opt for the vegetarian option the servings seemed a bit like an afterthought with a lot of goat cheese and no “real” designated vegetarian dish except main. We also thought that the Deserts were nicely presented but a bit weak in taste/complexity. The bread was really tasteful although the dip could be improved. Also be prepared for a 2,5-3,5h experience which is ok but we were only expecting 1-2 h. I hope this review was helpful and please take it as a constructive critic.

We had an amazing experience at Heroine! The food was absolutely delicious, staff were so friendly and made us feel very comfortable. The atmosphere was cozy and welcoming. I highly recommend!!! Well be back soon ! ♥️

The food was good but the service left a lot to be desired. After the first 2 courses the pace of the meal reduced to a crawl to the point where we were left with dirty dishes in front of us for more than 20 minutes while the other guests continued to be served. There were a total of 8 guests spread over 3 tables during our visit despite this we were rarely checked on and ended up having to rush out to make our other commitment due to the pace and lack of attentive service. Not a great way to end a celebratory meal. Perhaps the dinner service is better.

Nice restaurant, run by young personnel with lot of enthusiasm. The food was well presented, and depending on the course it ranged from excellent and surprising to good. The wine paring was well done, with good matching and sometimes a nice contrast - overall good wines. The service was friendly, attentive and the dinner pace was enjoyable. Overall the venue has a nice atmosphere and vibe - quite elegant but not pretentious. I loved that one of the chefs came to our table to answer some of our questions, and also provided some cooking tips! No major remarks, we will surely come back!

I loved heroine! The atmosphere and crew are amazing. So for sure a great experience! I would recommend! But it is still fine dining, so no full plates. It was still very tasty and fun.

From the entrance to the desert a wonderful journey with wines and food. Employees needed some time to get to know the visitors, but once we started they were relaxed. Complimenting wines with the 5 courses were better than expected. With wines from France until India you are taking some chances. The sommelier likes more fresh wines where I personally go for darker wines, I had to admit his choices were perfect. The food was a culinair journey, small portions with well prepared aroma's. I can't agree with the review below with regard to the acoustics, maybe it was us talking louder than the rest. One point of improvement, SLOW down the speed of the courses. I thought a 4 star was to low and 4.5 not possible. Truly a must have been place, nice people in a hidden upcoming area of Rotterdam. Hope to see you again soon!
