"Dishes that can't be pigeonholed" – such is the name of the game for chef Olimpia Cario. In her surprise set menu, she gives free rein to her creativity, cooking up unusual combinations such as chicken, trout, egg, cucumber, corn and redcurrants. She uses seasonal produce and high-quality ingredients, often grown on her own farm. The interior itself has an eye-catching design, with a large, high-ceilinged space reminiscent of a modern rustic barn on account of the beam construction climbing up into the roof." - Michelin Inspector

"Enjoying the Region's Best Pork Bavarians love their pork. Enjoy the region’s best about 30 minutes outside Munich at Das Wirtshaus zum Herrmannsdorfer Schweinsbräu, part of an organic farm cooperative that includes a bakery, a brewery, vegetable gardens, and, of course, happy black-and-pink pigs. In a light-filled barn, chef Thomas Thielemann serves such dishes as a crispy schweinebraten (pork roast). We ate here two nights ago on our last night in Germany and I could not be happier with our decision. From the friendly staff to the incredible food, we found ourselves excited about every dish that came to our table. We chose to do the 5-course tasting menu and left feeling beyond full. Please eat here! You won't regret it.

An absolute, outstanding surprise in the bavarian rural area on the premises of a Bio farming society. Compliments for the restaurant, the introduction by owner and staff. A wonderful surprise when you experience seeing the lady owner as chef de cuisine, preparing an outstanding menu from a beautifully handwritten menu card. We highly recommend the restaurant and venue for a visit, enjoying a glance at the alps. 👍💯🇳🇱🇩🇪 Astrid and Gerrit

A great restaurant and really excellent service and food. The reason for two stars is that their menu has been increasingly limited and expensive. Appreciate the changing times, but a shame as was a really lovely place to go for lunch and a walk.

An upscale, yet traditional restaurant with delicious food, especially the pork. Stroll the grounds, visit the pigs and browse through the small shop where they sell their own products plus more.

The location is really nice with the BIO farm around it. The food was ok, but expensive. The staff was unwelcoming, had to wait 10 minutes until someone spoke to us and another 5 minutes until they decided we were allowed to sit a table and order. I don't recommend such establishments.

Nice out of town location with ample parking. We 4, started with the pumpkin soup which was nicely spiced. Our mains were however a mixed bag, the vegetarian dishes were on the mark but the schnitzel breadcrumb was not on the meat and more like a hard crisp. The lamb was seasoned well but the main piece was over and somewhat dry. I kept some to show to the waiter but he dismissed my comment. Mistakes happen, but how it’s dealt with speaks volumes… so never again, shame.
