We stay for new yers from the 29 to the 4th of January 2026, the hotel amazing, the room wonderful, location excellent a few steps from every point of interest. |but the best part of our stay was two things: the food and the amazing service of all the people that work at the hotel. |Phillip from the restaurant excellent service and attention. the chef Sasha amazing food.|But really who makes the difference is Jenges from the Hotel, his kind personality and the help and attention he brings to the customers is amazing we were really happy and make our stay more pleasant and easy. thanks Jengens for all you're help and attention given to my family. thanks for make a difference in our trip.

I stayed in the apartment that is connected to the hotel, but is down the street from it (which wasn't clear through Booking.com) and is a mild inconvenience, but it worked out fine. The private apartment more than made up for it -- sparkling clean, nice amenities, very comfortable bed, quality linens and towels. The included breakfast (in the hotel building) is lovely, an actual table service breakfast and the made-to-order food was fresh and delicious -- especially the eggs and bacon! The staff is kind and caretaking. There are nice bonuses included, such as a welcome drink, bottled water in the room and handmade truffles as a parting gift. I traveled around Germany for two weeks and this was the nicest hotel I stayed in. The hotel and apartment are both centrally located, right off the main square.

Really enjoyed staying here. The rooms was clean and comfortable, slightly dated, but that only adds to the warmth and historic charm of the hotel. The service was excellent from the friendly and attentive staff. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a comfortable character-filled experience.

The hotel is beautiful, we stayed on the top floor and the room was spacious, well furnished and a lovely place to be.| |The hotel is located close to the town square and is equidistant from the castle gardens and the historic wall walk. ||The hotel staff are very helpful and friendly, breakfast has a great variety and we enjoyed everything we ordered. They are happy to provide you with recommendations and provide a great atmosphere. ||The whole town is quiet but if you don't mind hearing church bells then the hotel is very quiet and peaceful.

We had a great experience at the Herrnschlosschen Hotel and Restaurant. From the moment we stepped inside we were greeted by Filip, who assisted us. We eventually met the entire staff and all of them were very pleasant. The hotel is amazing with history and charm. The location was the best with just steps from the center square. We enjoyed the 5 course Michillen Star dinner served by Filip and cooked by Sascha. We highly recommend the hotel and restaurant! Prost!

The star of the show is Cengis, he does everything and always makes you feel welcomed. He carries bags up to the room, shows guests around, will recommend and reserve Restaurant. He serves breakfast which is outstanding. If the hotel has any shortcomings Cengis and staff make up for it. The old cement walls limit WiFi and cellular, but you are in a fabulous city, Enjoy it!!

Our stay was magical from the moment we stepped inside the lobby. The lobby also hosts the Michelin-starred restaurant, which also doubles as the breakfast room. We were in room 7 on the too floor, which is spacious and beautifully decorated. We stayed at Christmastime and there was even a Christmas tree in the room! The lighting was warm and relaxing, and the bed was very comfy. The room also includes a soaking tub and robes in case you time for a relaxing bath. We also stayed on St Nicholas Day, and we woke up to a stocking of goodies by the door! The room was just as charming as the city itself!||Make sure to dine at the restaurant- it will be one of the best meals you will ever eat. I will forever dream about the main course beef dish with an incredible sauce- I did not know it was possible to include so many layers of flavor in one dish. The wine pairing was also top tier- each wine complementing the flavors of the dish perfectly. But perhaps the best part of the meal and our stay was Philip. He is incredibly kind and accommodating, answering our many questions promptly via email before our stay and offering world-class hospitality while we were there. He put us at ease and set the tone for a relaxing and unpretentious stay. For example, we wanted to take the Night Watchman tour, which was right in the middle of the dinner service. We were worried we could not pull off both and were only in town for one night. Philip, without a qualm, let us know we would just take a break during the dinner service and when we came back from the tour we would have the dessert course. It worked out perfectly!!||Additionally, when we arrived, we found that one of the roads Google maps was directing us down was closed. There are only a few roads in the city center of Rothenburg, so this was a problem. My husband parked and walked over to the hotel to inquire about how we should handle. Philip walked with my husband back to the car and personally walked him thru driving down an alternate alley in order to access the hotel. This was so helpful and really set the tone of the visit.||When we left, Cengiz helped us with our luggage- hauling our very heavy suitcases down several flights of stairs and loading our car for us. He pulled our car around as well and could not have been nicer. Our entire stay was something out of a storybook, and it was thanks to the amazing staff here. It is pricey, but worth every penny!

We had a wonderful stay, right in the middle of Rothenburg. This is not a run-of-the-mill standard chain hotel, it is locally owned and operated and their team works hard to offer the charm you'd hope for. Walkable to all parts of the old town. Breakfast is a la carte and wonderful. Car parking is either on street but have to replenish meter every 2 hours - -so hotel offers to valet it for you in a locked gated lot. This trip involved 8 different hotels and this stop was one of the best.
