Hers Bakery is pure magic! We ordered Peter Pan-themed cake pops for my friend’s little boy’s birthday, and they were an absolute hit with the kiddos and the adults alike. Each cake pop was not only delicious but beautifully crafted, with so much attention to detail it felt like Neverland came to life on a dessert table. Melanie and her team are true artists. From start to finish, they were kind, creative, and so easy to work with. You can tell they put their heart into every treat they make. Highly recommend Hers Bakery for any special occasion—you’ll be blown away!

What an awesome sweet place? Great environment outdoor space. One of the owners, the pastry chef, she was so helpful so sweet had my lavender cappuccino, along with some bakery goods, amazing for this hidden gem. In a small community, highly recommend it

I really wish I would have taken a picture of it before I started, but it just smelled so good I had to take a bite and before I knew it I was almost done. I know that there are plenty of bakeries to choose from but HERS bakery always stands out because of their phenomenal customer service, their amazing pastries that are always perfectly moist never too sweet you can really tell they pay attention to quality rather than just quantity, and custom cakes that are to die for every time i surprise a friend and family member with a cake from HERS BAKERY the entire party asks where it came from and those on a diet end up breaking it. It took me a while to leave a review because sometimes people have a good day and then consecutive average days but HERS BAKERY has been on point every time and i truly appreciate that especially when you are trusting your baker to deliver the treats for your gatherings or just simply looking for a treat for yourself. If you haven't done so come and try their coffee, pastries, or cakes I guarantee you'll only want to try more.

Hers Bakery creates cakes that are divinely delicious on the inside as they are spectacular on the outside!! The chocolate cake with raspberries was a spongy and dark chocolatey, with a fluffy whipped cream and fresh raspberries. Everyone loved the cake. Ordering via text was very easy and response time was great.

Beautiful little neighbor hood bakery. Melanie and her co-baker are an amazing duo whipping up fresh baked dessert daily. They also do custom desserts which are truly amazing and can cover a wide variety of customization of desserts. They did my wedding desserts which had a line from the table to the other end of the venue! Did my gender reveal cake, which I will tell you that strawberry is amazing. This is a cute little bake shop with outdoor seating. The cinnamon brown sugar latte was delicious, and the people were friendly. I also had a pastry with goat cheese, tomato, and onion that was to die for!! I will definitely be back to get the next punch on my coffee punch card when I'm back in the area!

I adore this little coffee shop! Second time here. First time I got the brown sugar cinnamon latte and I loved it 10/10 This time I got the cookie butter latte I liked it 8/10 it's good. But I need more flavor to it. I will be coming back here :)

I call them every time I need something special and they never disappoint! My teenager loves horror movies and so I shared a photo with the Hers Team and they came up with this beautiful baby! My kiddo was so surprised. We hated cutting into it but it was soooo yummy! Also, picked up some yummy gingerbread cookies while I was in the shop picking up the cake. I'm a huge Disney fan so of course I had to get those!

Hers Bakery is just the best. They have the most fancy cakes to order and they can make you anything. You can get your wedding cake there, which I suggest. The service is ever so kind. Their is a little seating inside and out. The place is just so cute and it is a happy place to be. They also have a café with great coffee. They have such a great selection of coffees. You can have one with a cookie or 5. It is all just the best. The place smells so wonderful and it is always clean.

I needed my fix today and recently, I've had a thing for lavender lattes. I'm also a Swiftie and was aware this place had Taylor Swift themed goodies in celebration of the new album, TTPD, therefore, it was a no-brainer to finally give this place a try. Parking is ample on the street. You cannot sit inside as it is a very small business but there is a lot of outdoor seating. As stated above, lavender lattes are my current go to. I'll let you refer to other reviews for what has set the bar for me. This latte, however, did not meet the standard. While they make their own lavender syrup, I just couldn't pick up the lavender notes. The coffee beans also did not have a distinct flavor to them to appease this coffee snob. Was it horrible? No, but it was not something I would seek out again. I would be willing to try other drink options though. As for the cookies....OMG, aren't they the cutest? There were more designs but at $5 a cookie, I kept it to three as I really only purchased more than one for my readers and this review. All you Karens, don't come at me at these cookies are not a licensed product - Taylor is not going to be opening a bakery soon so shut it. The cookies were too sweet for me but my cookie of choice is not shortbread so perhaps they're supposed to be as sweet as they are. Let's be honest though, are we buying the cookies for the flavor? No, we're buying them because we're Swifties. BTW, there was a Swiftie cookie. This Taylor merch is only available for a limited time so all you Swifties come out to support Tasha, who is a doll, and her local business.

This place is perfect to chill, drink your favorite drink and enjoy a tasty treat while catching some sun on their cute patio. Two woman run the bake shop and are super friendly and knowledgeable. Thanks to HERS I drink oat milk now. I'm glad I found this gem and am excited for more locals to discover her.

My sister was in charge of bringing a cake for mom's birthday, and I'm so happy she found this place. The cake was beautiful and incredibly delicious! The chocolate cake was moist. Inside was a layer of raspberry jam and vanilla frosting. The outer frosting was chocolate. The combination was absolutely delightful. It was decadent but not rich or overly sweet. My sister said the owners Melanie & Tasha were very nice and friendly and the order process was easy. I highly recommend this bakery for your special occasion cakes. I also plan to visit the café in person to try some of their other goodies.

Response to owner: I checked my email and junk mail more than ten times, and even checked right now (photo attached). No response. Maybe you sent it to the wrong email. Human error happens.

Absolutely love this place! I was looking for a last minute cookie order for my boyfriend's surprise birthday and they were able to do it in less than a week's notice for a very reasonable price too! I also wanted an inappropriate Valentine's Day cake LOL. And they were happy to create it for me!!! On top of that, before I went to go pick it up, they set up an adorable little table for us outside. They went along with my surprise V-Day cake and his face was priceless! I had the task of getting baked goods for my daughter's 3rd birthday party at her pre-school. I had about 20 toddlers to serve, and other parents had done either a cupcake or cake party. I was hesitant to get baked goods that weren't fresh, and so I had to find a vendor that could provide a custom cake for the specific date. I have always been a "get the cheap cake" sort of person. My mom had two boys, and I had a baby girl, whom my mom always wanted. My daughter's "Baby Boomer" Grandma (my mom) with her "Boomer Money" got my daughter custom cakes for the first and second birthday. Thanks mom for not getting me a custom cake; now, I am being dragged into this cake planning battle. Fortunately, I am a young millennial with a knack for computers so I can research faster. Looking for vendors near the area and looking through hundreds of pictures, I decided to reach out to HERS Bakery. I initially contacted Melanie, and I gave her a picture of a similar cake I liked; she said that she could make it exactly like the picture. I was very pleased with the outcome. I will definitely try this vendor again for a future event. Thank you Melanie for helping me in my cake planning battle this year!

May 2022: I'm obsessed with this amazing bakery! I sent them a few pics of our son's upcoming Two-Rex dino themed birthday party and they created the most beautiful cookies and cupcakes! They were not only gorgeous but scrumptious and I ate way too many of them. They are my go-to for any special occasion! And, I LOVE a woman-owned local business! Please call them for creative brainstorming; you won't be disappointed. May 2023: Edited to add, of course, I went back to Hers for my son's 3rd birthday party with a much more difficult theme... my son chose TRASH TRUCKS! But, Melanie created the most amazing cupcakes and cookies which looked incredible and tasted better. This bakery is literally the best!

We ordered the pecan pie for thanksgiving and it was a great hit. Definitely going to order future pies from here. While waiting for our pie, we saw their outdoor sitting area and it's such a cute space. We hope to come back an I enjoy their outdoor sitting area.

I wish I would've taken a picture of the Harry Potter themed cupcakes!! Not only were they super cute and a vision come true but omg were they delicious. I ordered half chocolate half vanilla with butter cream frosting. Everyone kept asking where I bought them! They were a hit! I have a sweet tooth and I can say they are so much better than some of the bigger cupcake chains! Thanks Tasha!

We customer order an Encanto cake. And it was everything my daughter wished for. The details were impeccable. The cake was moist and tasty. We ordered two flavors. Rainbow and strawberry shortcake. When I picked up the cake, they were super friendly. And even gave me a chocolate chip cookie for waiting. It was tasty too!!! Would definitely come back for bakery items and future cakes!

I'm so grateful that I discovered this sweet bakery. I don't just mean sweet because of the phenomenal treats (blueberry cheesecake muffin, yum!) and also because of the two lovely ladies who run HERS Bakery. Melanie was friendly, communicative, and genuinely excited as I explained my plans for my Valentine's Day-themed gender reveal. The treats turned out great, as delicious as they were cute, and we were elated to discover we were having a boy! Hers Bakery I always knew would do the cake and dresser at my wedding. Not only is everything delicious but they are such a pleasure to work with. They know how to create an experience and scenery to make your dreams come true! I highly recommend them for all your events or even just when you are craving sweets !

I'd always wanted to get a custom birthday cake so I asked on the SGV Eats Facebook group for recommendations on bakeries in the area and several recommended this place. And they did not disappoint! I got a spiced rum with maple buttercream Haunted Mansion themed cake and it was perfect! My friends and I didn't didn't wanna cut into it cause it looked so pretty! But we did and the taste was excellent! Even my friends who usually aren't a fan of fondant liked it lol All in all I have zero complaints. Even the lovely lady who gave me the cake was awesome. Oh and the place was so clean! Just saying that was nice to see too.

I love this bakery! Melanie is one of the kindest people I've ever met and she's wonderful to work with. She made delicious and soft vegan cookies and cake for my brother's proposal party. They were also stunning! Big fan and can't wait to use them again!

Highly recommend stopping by for a pastry (they have mostly sweet baked goods + 1-2 savory pastries) and a drink! I'm always getting their iced matcha latte & strawberry matcha as a pick-me-up on these hot summer days. The owner is super nice too! There's only some outdoor seating, but I usually just take my things while I'm on the go anyways

HERS Bakery did an incredible job on baby shower cookies. We came to the shop to show them our farmer's market theme and to ask if this was something they could do and boy did they made it happen. Cookies were delicious AND gorgeous. The ladies had the cookies done on time and also wrapped them up so beautifully. I couldn't believe how cute they came out! Bad cake, my wife got one for Father's Day this year. Came out dry. I'm not really a cake person but I can tell the difference between a good cake and a bad one. This had a great design, but the flavor was bad. Do not recommend. Also, this is my first review for this bakery, not my third. Please check where else on your Yelp I have reviewed this.

We love HERS Bakery! I've worked with Melanie for three of our birthday's in the last 6 months and they never disappoint! I can't recommend HERS enough!! Ordering is such an easy process, she always understands my vision, the cakes, cupcakes and cookies are always so detailed and delicious! Even better than I imagined! As an El Sereno resident, I had noticed HERS Bakery multiple times when driving around the neighborhood, so I was super happy to finally have an occasion to try out their cakes! I ordered a custom birthday cake for my mom's 70th birthday party, and they really did an amazing job in executing the vision I had. I worked directly with Melanie, and she helped me to come up with a design that would fit not only my mom's preferences, but that also ended up impressing all of our party guests! On top of that, my mom had requested a pineapple filling which, to be honest, I was really worried 1) the bakery wouldn't have, and 2) no one would want to try. Much to my (pleasant) surprise, neither of these scenarios were an issue, and our cake was virtually entirely gone by the end of the night! Will definitely consider using them for my wedding cake for next year :)

I have been going to Hers Bakery for cakes, pastry, and party sweets since my kid's first birthday and I can tell you every single year they has outdone themselves. Just recently she did my child's birthday cake and it was so amazing, everyone was blown away. It was so beautifully crafted, and best of all my child was so excited and happy to see their vision come true, everyone should give Hers Bakery a try. You will not be disappointed. The pastries were very delicious. I got a carrot cake perfect size and great flavor. We also got a giant soft chocolate chip cookie and a raspberry scone. I also got a brown sugar latte iced with oat milk and it was just the right thing to get my day going. My friend got a hot cookie butter latte she enjoyed. Service was quick and easy, the one who helped us was very nice and got our drinks out in a timely manner. They also have a patio where you can sit and enjoy your coffee with a beautiful mural. I will be most definitely coming back here again. Thank you:)

I had my doubts because I was trying out a new bakery.I am so glad I did. I had an idea of what I wanted but there is something about letting an amazing artist do their job and it surpassed my expectations my guests were thrilled everyone loved the cake. At first I thought that it was pricey but it was worth every cent. The details were just so pretty.I believe truly a work of art because that's what it was.I usually don't eat birthday cakes because of the sweetness but everything about this cake was just delicious. I do not regret one bit about choosing this awesome bakery I am just so thankful.

I love love love Hers Bakery! Not only do they make the yummiest cupcakes, the bakers or artists - I should say create such beautiful decorations. A huge plus... they make gluten free and dairy free cupcakes as well!! I've only purchased cupcakes but I'm sure he cakes are just as good! Go now!

TLDR; Based on the numerous reviews, I believe many people would like their cakes, but it just wasn't for us. Aside from the cake, we thought the service was excellent. We ordered the 6" red velvet cake with cream cheese buttercream and asked for a fondant print on top. It was a little expensive, but it's average priced for a custom cake. Some additional photos were sent too for the cake design and they were more than accommodating as well as very friendly & responsive. Now for the cake... We would rate it 3/5 because the fondant print looked like a rush job (it's not laid out completely flat) and everyone who ate the cake noted it did not taste like a red velvet to them and it generally lacked flavor. I would say the positive comment is that it was the right amount of moist and had a great texture. In any case, the comments were relayed to the business and they took it as honest feedback which is part of the reason we are rating them so highly even though we were dissatisfied with the cake.

Wonderful local bakery. Melanie and her team have made beautiful cakes and cookies for my kids over the years. Our last experience was beyond what we expected. My daughter is an artist and they made cookies with her drawings on them. It was a great way for her to share her artwork with her friends and also give out a yummy treat.

Delicious treats made fresh. This lovely bakery makes amazing desserts. I've had cookies and cake from here and both are amazing. Parking can be just a bit tricky but it's well worth it. Love stopping by for fresh baked goods.

I could not love HERS bakery anymore than I do! They went above and beyond for my son's first birthday party. Melanie was a dream to communicate with and everything was so creative and went perfectly with our theme. She brought her own adorable platters, set everything up and I didn't have to worry about a single thing. The cookies, cake pops and donuts were all gone by the end of our party! I will most definitely be only using HERS for all of our dessert needs from here on out!

They have delicious customized sugar cookies. We have friends who specifically come to our parties looking for these cookies. The customized design is top notch.

Exceptional bakery! For years, HERS Bakery has designed and baked the desserts for our milestones. Not only are the cakes, cupcakes, cake pops, cookies, chocolate pretzels, brownies and Rice Krispies treats so delicious, they are works of art! They have done an amazing job personalizing and customizing our desserts to our party themes (see pics). They deliver the desserts and even set up the elaborate desserts displays when needed. Also, Melanie is delightful and so easy to work with! Highest recommendation for HERS Bakery!

We ordered a smash cake for my son's first birthday. It was so great! Everyone loved it. It was affordable, right on time, and delicious. I highly recommend Her's. Ordering was really easy and convenient. I will come back year after year.

I LOVE this!! Melanie is so extremely easy to work with, explain your concept and execute with perfection! I ordered a basic buttercream cake for my baby and personalized cookies for the party. THE COOKIES WERE A HIT!! The cake was delicious & cookies were too to be honest. She delivered on a Sunday & set everything up for me - they were Covid cautious and wore a mask the entire time. Everyone and I mean EVERYONE LOVED THE COOKIES! My daughter loved the cake & made it so she couldn't share by smashing it so much! After delivery she also messaged me reminding me tips on buttercream and where to store it if the sun breaks through etc, because honestly that was the last thing I was thinking of while setting up a party - so I really appreciated it.

Was recommended them for an event I'm planning. Bought samples and that alone was enough for me to not use them. Really really disorganization. Most of the cake flavors they offered puzzled me why they had such a high price tag also.

I ordered custom cookies for my friends birthday with a baby yoda & star wars theme and the result was amazing! I found HERS Bakery on yelp and I worked with Melanie. She was really responsive and the cookies came out so cute! I requested delivery for additional $10 and Melanie provided confirmation of drop off. She also sent me a picture of the cookies and invoice through email. I am very pleased with my order. Would recommend!
