"Hervé’s three co-owners are heavily involved in the smooth running of this modern restaurant, situated a little way from the centre but well connected thanks to its location next to the Petralona metro stop. Herve Pronzato is the French-born executive chef who has lent his name to the business, ably assisted by Grigoris Kikis (a young Greek chef who is constantly seeking excellence in his cooking) and George Efthimopoulos (an expert in hospitality and the restaurant’s general manager). One of the special features of this young, informal eatery is the elegant French-style yet Japanese-inspired counter where guests can watch the chefs at work (the latter serve dishes personally and are happy to explain their preparation in detail). The cuisine is centred around a single tasting menu featuring fusion dishes influenced by French, Asian and Italian cooking. This was the best meal I had in my Greece trip. They have an open kitchen where you could see the chefs at work and you sit right by the bar. The chefs then bring the food and explain the ingredients. You won’t be disappointed with the 16 course meal. My top 3 were the seabass, the quail, and the basil. At the end of the meal I was offered the in-house lemonade and it was superb as well!

Great culinary experience. You feel like you are sitting at an amazing gastro pub with an open kitchen and great vibes. Service was excellent and very friendly. Some of the best pre-desserts I’ve ever tasted. However, some of the main courses were slightly underwhelming when compared to restaurants of this level. All in all, an excellent dining experience overall.

Amazing 17 course dinner with wine pairing and a celar full of great wines. Hospitality was on point with people making you feel welcome. Nothing like the snobbish atmosphere are used to in similar priced restaurants. Truly an experience, well worth the cost! Must try!! Also the sommelier listened to our wants and his suggestions were exceptional choices adding overall value to the place, unlike the usual suggestions of the 1st or 2nd most expensive option.

My wife and I had the best meal of our lives at Herve (really calling it a “meal” would be a disservice as it was more of a culinary adventure)!
