Heugümper

What an incredible experience to have had in Zurich. Heugümper was the perfect selection for a birthday celebration. Our reservation was made months in advance, and despite this, they greeted us by name when we walked through the door. The staff had a wonderful (and rye) sense of humour, and had us laughing and at ease as soon as we were seated. The intimate atmosphere is still relaxed enough for a short sleeved, collared shirt and slacks. The food however is absolutely 5-star. It’s plated in an impressive way, and each course outdid the last. Thank you Heugümper for the wonderful meal and memory. We’ll be back.

We had an amazing experience at Heugümper! Pam was absolutely wonderful, so warm, friendly, and attentive. The food was delicious, the hospitality outstanding, and the atmosphere charming. It was our first time in Switzerland, and Pam made it truly special for us. We’ll definitely be back next time we’re in Zurich!

Great place, not crowded, diverse menu, fantastic local food, but stake tartare better to avoid.

This restaurant was an absolute gem! From start to finish, everything was exceptional—the appetizers, the wine, and the top-notch service. Every dish was beautifully presented and bursting with flavor. We had the tuna, which was so fresh and perfectly prepared, but the real standout was the goat cheese stuffed beet—such a unique and creative dish that was truly out of this world! The flavors were perfectly balanced and unlike anything we’ve had before. The service was warm and attentive, making the whole experience even better. Came for a birthday dinner celebration. We loved our appetizers which were amazing with lots of flavour. The service was above average. She was very friendly, attentive and has great wine knowledge. The restaurant is nicely decorated, super clean, cozy and elegant. The main was good, and interesting. My personal highlight from the main: the cordon bleu and savoy cabbage strudel, the rest was good but nothing special. Extremely slow service, it took 1h for the single staff to take our orders, even though we were seated upstairs in the group room. Very basic dishes from 1980 with barely any vegetarian options. Weird lights that flicker uncomfortably. In short, the kind of place where bankers go when someone else is paying.

Upscale place near Münsterhof. Limited but varied menu. The ravioli and tuna with sashimi puree were very tasty and well presented, sitting outdoors with a nice and relaxing view on the square. Really enjoyed and will definitely go back. Thanks for the great evening, was a pleasure to take customers here.

At Heugümper, there is consistently a succession of novel offerings on the daily specials menu. We had an amazing dinner with companions. The meals were prepared extremely well and accompanied with great wine.

The service here is top notch and impeccable. Pamela takes care of every guest and makes them feel right at home. This is a cozy but stylish restaurant. It would be best for smaller groups and for dinner setting. However, I think the food here still has some room for improvement. I had a salad as my appetizer, which was fresh but overpowered by the dressing. For my main, I had sesame crusted seared tuna on top of stir fried Asian vegetables. The tuna was great, but I'm not big fan of the sweet-savory wilted veggies. Hopefully can come back and try other dishes to get a more comprehensive view of the food here.

Great food. Great place. Great evening. The truffle tagliatelle were amazing. We will definitely be back!

Really high quality food restaurant. The venue itself is fantastic but most impressive was the food. Has the beef tartar as a starter which was really one of the best in Zurich--I especially loved that they asked me if I preferred it mild or spice with/without an egg. My main course was pieces of tuna steak over Asian vegetables with a mango sauce: perfectly seared and coated with different peppers. Highly recommend!
