My first time at this local cafe. Very small, very quiet. Laptops aren't allowed which is nice. The vibe was austere and kind of cold. The young woman working there was friendly and nice to me. I ordered a flat white and it was very good. The quality of coffee was obvious. However the €5.50 price tag was not justified to me. I've noticed prices increasing everywhere but for me that is too expensive. I've had equally good coffee in Paris for €4.

This humble and charming cafe hidden in Paris’ lesser tourist areas is absolutely worth a stop. With terrific espresso, this is a perfect place for a mid day cappuccino with friends or to show up early with a book. As a side note, there’s a great collection of academic coffee books for the someday cafe owners to browse.

Just had one of the best Flat Whites ever. Perfect temp and taste. I’ll surely revisit this coffee shop! Came back the following morning to confirm my previous opinion. Nothing changed. It hits right where it should. Love the professionalism and respect for the coffee-making process.

À lovely, sunny spot for a pause among the Parisian streets. Impeccable coffee and little cakes! Tranquil and easy atmosphere for reading or conversing with a friend, would definitely recommend for a coffee date!

Excellent pour over (aeropress style) with a fabulous Geisha

Google
Aussie approved for coffee. Paris doesn't have a coffee scene to the level that you get in Australia so it was a happy accident that I found this in the Montparnasse area. They pull one of the better espressos you will get in Paris so if you are in the area, this is a good choice. Their preference for filter is aeropress, and they are really into the science of it so you will get a very decent coffee if you opt for that. There are cookies, and the caneles are very good. There is an ice shaver but you can only find kakigori in summer, so sadly I never tried. They have a sign that asks you to stay off your phone if you want to sit in, which I think is the best way to let coffee lovers enjoy their coffee. And if you want something else to snack on, there is a famous Alsatian bakery on the corner up the road if you want to have a bretzel with your coffee.

I randomly looked for a coffee shop on Google Maps to meet up with a friend, and found this place. Really cute indeed. It’s a simple cafe, humble and relaxing with some photogenic corners. I wished I had taken more pictures. I had a matcha and some sweets, very nice.

Have been coming here since years. In between time Paris have had so many specialty coffee shops opened, terre de cafe, nuance, the coffee, coutume, noir etc. Some of these shops are more photogenic while others are in more attractive locations. However Hexagone ranks the number one for me, for its consistency in every cup it serves, and the great taste.

Yelp
While in Paris for a couple of weeks for work, I used a travel guide to find good spots, especially for coffee, as I've heard (and experienced) some interesting takes on coffee in Paris. I loved exploring and walking the streets of Paris (who doesn't?) to get to this cute little shop and it was not hard to find. I visited this shop at least 3 times while I was in Paris as it was comfortable and the coffee was absolutely delicious as was the pastries. Although I don't regularly eat pastries, you can't get out of Paris without trying their world famous croissants and pan de chocolat! Although I speak little French, after basic introductions and pleasantries in French and asking politely if they spoke English, they were very friendly and answered my questions before ordering. Please give Hexagone Cafe a try if you're visiting. You won't regret it!

Yelp
We got filtered coffee there and it was horrible. When they served it, I could tell by the light color that it was not going to be good. Extremely watered down, super disappointing. Someone in my family had their espresso and said it was good but I'd stay away from the filtered coffee.

Yelp
Style, simplicity and coffee from an award-winning roaster make this a great place to linger. No-one minds how long you hang out on Hexagone Café's stylish wooden tables and classroom chairs, so you can linger at leisure. A good thing too, as one of the founders is Stéphane Cataldi, named France's best coffee roaster in 2010 - and it shows in the quality of the brew in your cup. On our visit in September 2015, the featured Finca la Fany coffee beans had been sourced from the Ahuachapán commune in Salvador. An espresso is €2.50, a cappuccino €4. Team it with a tartine spread with butter and rhubarb and grapefruit jam, perhaps, or a slice of own-made cheesecake. Around €11 will get you a full breakfast: fresh orange juice, a creamy cappuccino and tartines. And if you want to jazz up your breakfast at home, peruse their shelves of ground coffee, coffee beans, salted caramel biscuits and pots of honey. You'll be happy to accept their loyalty card.

Yelp
Truly excellent coffee near Gare Montparnasse. They do espresso drinks as well as filter coffee, and the service is excellent. Highly recommended if you appreciate fine coffee and are nearby. I stopped for an espresso and a filter coffee while waiting for my train.

Yelp
In a nutshell: A rare third-wave coffee house in Paris with good coffee. The good: The quality of the coffee is good, with beans roasted in Breton. They can put it in a to-go cup, which is a helpful rarity. The service is also friendly. The bad: The selection is limited (like most third-wave shops) and the sizes are very small by American standards. The ugly: It's off the beaten path down a mini labyrinth of side streets near Cimetière Montparnasse. Not so great for people watching.

Yelp
Being coffee lovers and coffee enthusiasts, Hexagone is wonderful! Perfect! You know what you getting and the barista knows coffee. Fresh roasted, bright and open, tasty pastries, English speaking, but mainly locals coming in. This is true coffee/ espresso not espresso pressed out of a pod.

Yelp
Had a cappuccino here (€4). Tasted great but quite pricey for a cupa joe. Pastries were basic and limited in selection - looks like store bought. There is no outdoor seating area for people watching so better go elsewhere for that. This cafe is great for studying or getting work on the computer done.

Yelp
We came in the afternoon. The coffee was good, I wouldn't say it was incredible. The place was pretty empty. It was us and one other person. The weren't many options to choose from when it came to the pastries so we just got a cookie. One thing that I did love about this place was the fact that they had a bathroom inside.

Yelp
Great independant coffee shop in Paris! The coffee itself was great... The staff was super friendly... And we loved the atmosphere - exactly what you would expect of this type of shop. Prices were in line with what I would expect to pay for a high end coffee (about 4-5 euros). The tip box is very entertaining!

Yelp
Good tea, chill atmosphere, but no wifi and a little plain and uninspiring café to relax in.

Yelp
I am a San Franciscan who has been spoiled by so many years of drinking coffees and espressos from Ritual, Blue Bottle, Sightglass, and the like. I'm happy to say the espresso here certainly can compete. Delicious. Excellent service and atmosphere. Merci!!
