Hey Boba

Adri F.

Google
Best boba place in Tulsa! They don’t have tables to sit at anymore since Covid but I always got my boba to go so this did not affect me. Their jasmine boba is by far the best jasmine milk tea in town. Any time I’m in the area, I always stop to get some. The staff is always very sweet as well. There’s never a long wait even if there’s a few people in line.

Sasha E.

Google
Delicious I got the milk tea Boba with coconut and strawberry popping pearls super friendly. I love all of the cool different things you can purchase in there. It was such a calming environment. I feel like I got a whole massage very soothing after difficult week at work!

Kurstyn S.

Google
Super sweet staff and a very cute shop! I got a Jasmine tea boba, highly recommend, isn’t too sweet and very flavorful!!

Jeanette D

Google
Owned by a local family. Various boba options and many fresh plants within! I took off a star for atmosphere because currently to go only without seating, however was pleasant and spacious. Service was quick! We look forward to coming back. As a note, fresh fruit isn’t used in the drinks and they are mostly powder-based.

Google
Love this place! It's authentic and the owner is the sweetest woman! They have some really great flavors. Some are niche, and some are super common. The atmosphere is so cute. This place was a great place for me to bring my two younger sisters during our Tulsa outing. They had never tried boba and LOVED it so much. Thank you guys for everything!

Nick M.

Google
The best boba I tried so far 🥰, strongly recommend this place

Google
Loved this place! Super great prices and really delicious. Staff is super friendly and helpful, offering add ons without being pushy. It's also beautiful inside with an impressive plant collection full of orchids. Can't reccomend enough.

Google
Want a little fun? Stop in and give it a try, flavorful. We had a cold passion fruit green tea with Boba, mango slush green tea with Boba, taro milk with Boba, and cold pineapple green tea with Boba. Be adventurous! Anxious to try another flavor. Don't be afraid to ask for help ordering.

Yelp
Been coming here for 10 years. Since I was in high school, the owner is very sweet. I generally order, taro, but all the boba flavors , are very good.

Yelp
The boba tea scene in Tulsa is really lacking. It's just not thriving like other cities. It's really struggling. Could it be a lack of investment or is it Tulsa itself? Maybe a little bit of both? Hey Boba reminds me of the boba tea shops in San Antonio, TX. It's privately owned and not a franchise. Because of this reason, there is no regulation on the products the shop uses. If you are used to milk tea from popular boba tea franchises like Tapioca Lounge, Sharetea, Gongcha, Tiger Sugar, and even Kung Fu Tea, then I am sorry to say...the milk tea at Hey Boba and similar privately owned boba tea shops taste "diluted" and sometimes "powdery." Hey Boba tea does not taste powdery though, but does taste diluted. I want to support local businesses which is why I gave it a 4 stars. For me, the best boba tea shop in Tulsa is Kung Fu Tea even though Kung Fu Tea is my least favorite out of all the boba tea franchises.

Alana R.

Yelp
Best Boba in Tulsa! Amazing plants to look at while waiting for your Boba tea! Check it out!!
google avatar

Wiggins C.

Yelp
The mango green tea with popping boba was refreshing and perfectly balanced in sweetness. The wait was a bit long, but the quality of the drinks made it worth it.But all things I love strawberry boba
google avatar

Rachel N.

Yelp
Liked how covid precautions were taken with staff mask use, to-go orders only, and social distancing in the shop. From there was not a good experience, unfortunately There was only 1 kind lady working. I got an avocado smoothie, less sugar, with boba, and it seemed to take quite a while but understandable. The smoothie was super icy, almost no taste, and even had an ice cube, which was really disappointing. The boba was average...more taste than my smoothie. Probably won't come back.

MaryLynn C.

Yelp
The owner is such the sweetest thing! The eggrolls are made fresh, the custard buns are excellent, and the drinks are well priced!!!

Yelp
I had some time to kill between needing to get from one place to another, this place was still open at the time and nearby, so I decided to check it out! The inside is small, but feels fitting. They have some couches and tables, probably enough space to hold around 10 people? I also noticed they had a tv, but it wasn't turned on while I was there. They also had some plants around, which I thought was nice but still simple. One other thing I noticed was that they had mini chess boards set up on two of the tables. I even saw one couple playing while they waited for their drinks so I thought that was fun. I really appreciated the way they lay out their menu here! They put it in an easy 4-step format. It starts with the base of tea, then flavors, then toppings, then your sweetness level (which now that I think of it I don't remember doing that last step). I just think it's a really effective way to go about it. With so many different customizations I think it often gets confusing, so that takes a lot of that away. Plus, I'm a big "list" person, so having things in categories like that REALLY makes sense to my brain, at least. They also have spotlighted a few "popular" concoctions if you wanted to just keep it super simple and order that way too. I got milk tea with coconut flavor and strawberry popping boba. Turns out this was on their favorites list anyway. I'm someone who doesn't LOVE boba but I've had it a few times. Every time it's just not quite there for me. Just too chewy I think. I've never felt sure enough at other places to order something else as a "topping" though, but because of the whole setup mentioned above I felt more clear on what exactly I could do, and went with the popping boba. Game changer!!! I enjoyed that a lot, and so much more than traditional boba. And now I'll be disappointed if other places don't offer the popping kind. Plus, I feel like they added the perfect amount of it. Definitely didn't skimp on it but it wasn't so much that it felt like that was the whole drink. As far as the drink itself, it was very good! I loved the flavors together, and it was exactly what I wanted/ needed that day... fruity springy tropical vibes. Both the coconut and strawberry really came through, and neither was too dominant of a flavor over the other. Lastly, the price was awesome! I got a large size for less than $5. I really feel like I found a great deal here. Totally want to come back if I'm in the area and have time to stop by again! :D

Yelp
This place is definitely supporting COVID-19 social distancing. Walking in there are number markers where you're supposed to stand prior to ordering. After you've ordered you're supposed to sit in a chair located on the other side of the restaurant that are all equally spaced out from each other. When ordering, there is a plexiglass divider between you and the employee. I definitely believe they are doing their part to decrease the spread of COVID-19. Now let's talk about the place itself. When I walked in I Had not ordered Boba in quite some time. The lady there was super friendly and help me decide what I should order. She was very helpful and patient with me. I ended up ordering a lavender hot coffee with Boba. Something different but some thing I wanted to try since I love lavender ice cream so much. The coffee is smooth, creamy, and it has bold flavoring. I definitely would get this again. The other drink you see pictured was Milk tea- oolong-jelly ordered without ice. This was for my friend and I did not try it. However, she said it was pretty good. If you're looking for a Boba place in town, I would definitely give this place a chance! And if you're nervous because you haven't tried it before, don't be! They are super friendly and are there to help.

Yelp
Best boba tea place in Tulsa! I prefer my boba tea to not be too sweet and Hey Boba is always consistent and makes it perfectly. They have the best jasmine milk tea! Some of the other boba tea places in Tulsa use a jasmine flavoring that almost tastes like bubble gum to me but not here. The staff at Hey Boba is always kind and prompt. The establishment is always clean. Any time I want boba tea, this is my first choice!
google avatar

Jean Ann T.

Yelp
Was going to get a Teh Tarik but it was unavailable at the time. Got a hot coconut boba milk tea. Yummy!! I'd never had boba in a hot drink. Just what I needed in a cold day! No cream/sugar needed! Looking forward to coming back.

Yelp
This place is dangerous! As in I could get a Boba here every day. It was my coworker's birthday yesterday, so they stopped in here and ordered everything off the menu. All of us had something different to try. I wish I could tell you what mine was called, but it tasted like a watermelon strawberry slushy. And the Boba at the bottom had just the right texture. I'll definitely be trying another flavor. One of our bosses had the cookies and cream one and he downed that in just a couple minutes. Keep up the good work here. This place is awesome.
google avatar

Saige B.

Yelp
Love this place! Very quaint and quiet but great customer service! The boba was yummy, a bit less sweet than I'm use to but still very good. The food looked delicious as well. but I wasn't hungry at the time . Also flavor selections for boba were nice
google avatar

Yelp
My favorite boba spot in Oklahoma and in North Carolina! Please come open up a spot here in Raleigh because nothing comes even close. I recommend the Thai tea and Taro! Make sure you read the menu on the TV for instructions on how to order - basically pick the size, the type of drink you want (milk tea or smoothie or slushee) then flavor, then add-ons. Price is insanely low too, I can get two larges here for basically the same cost of one large anywhere else. Local businesses for the win!
google avatar

Misha B.

Yelp
I love the sweet lady that owns this place! She works really hard & is usually by herself. If you're looking to get Boba really quickly, this place is not for you! Normally she's either by herself or sometimes there is one other person with her. This is a small business, not a large corporation--which in my opinion, I prefer giving my money to!! If there's a line it will take some time as she has to make each persons drink! But there are seats you can use to wait. To me, even on the busy days, it's worth it. I've tried the Taro milk tea, passion fruit smoothie with popping boba, the mango tea with kiwi popping boba and they have all been delicious. I've also had the crab Rangoons which are delicious, just takes time to make. The little desserts and other packaged snacks she sells are very good as well. Have some time to kill and want some authentic Boba? This is the place to go!

Gwen T.

Yelp
Hey Boba was so delicious and the workers were so friendly!! They made the experience so enjoyable! Would go back in a heartbeat!

Yelp
Very nice and relaxing place. You can dine in and they have chase and other table games. The buba we got was the original milk tea and a home made vanilla cake. They have many options for bubas. Very clean and family atmosphere. Very sweet lady very attentive. Will come back for sure.

Yelp
Drink was very good, I got the Taro milk tea as per one of the recommendations from the lovely lady that works there. She was very nice and made it very easy to pick a drink I'd enjoy.
google avatar

Yelp
Best boba in town! What a great place. Peaceful spa music, beautiful motion waterfall on the TV, great service, and perfect boba! Don't miss out!
google avatar

Gary M.

Yelp
i got the mango slushy with boba & it was pretty good. not too sweet, not too tangy... the boba went well with the slushy. you get to pick between small & large, the "small" is nice size. something that stole the show (& something i didn't intend on having/getting for that matter) was the chocolate tiramisu. the nice lady offered after i ordered the slushy & i definitely needed something to snack on. soft, light, delicate, melts in your mouth. she gave me two pieces, the perfect snack. if it's on deck, be sure to get some... ESPECIALLY if you're a lover of chocolate. good selections, good service. the menu is wide open for the drinks. they have some combinations for you on the menu or you can just make your own. you can coffee, tea & a mix of foods as well.
google avatar

Johnny M.

Yelp
It seems everyone has had Boba milk tea but me. Very clean and nice place. Enjoyed my apps and milk tea. They had ran out of crab Rangoon so I got fried dumplings and egg rolls. Everything was enjoyable. Dumplings seemed like normal frozen and fried. But, frying oil tasted high quality. Maybe peanut oil. Egg rolls were better than most places. It is hard to find excellent egg rolls no days as most are the pre-made frozen variety.
google avatar

Yelp
WOW! This is the best boba I've ever had and I will definitely be returning. Please support this business!

Yelp
I always get the strawberry slush and it never disappoints. Service is friendly and quick.

Yelp
Hey Boba, Hey Boba, Hey! (Hopefully all No Doubt fans will get that reference, otherwise this just turned awkward.) TULSA FINALLY HAS A BUBBLE TEA CAFE!! It is about.freaking.time. I have already obsessively tried numerous drinks, such as: - the Classic Milk Tea - the one drink I use to judge bubble tea joints worldwide. It doesn't disappoint here. Just the right amount of flavor + balls on point. - Earl Gray Milk Tea - I had never seen this on a menu before, so I was really curious to try it. Had the same basic milk tea flavor, but there was an ending flavor of English tea. Sounds weird, but if you drink it, you'll understand. - Passion Fruit Slushie - So cold. Perfect for those hot, humid Oklahoma summers. Also tried the crab rangoon. This isn't the crab rangoon from the Chinese buffets! In addition to the cream cheese, they're stuffed with onions and "crab" - the real way rangoon should be. The cafe is really bright with lots of tables and chairs for studying or couches in the corner for lounging. Make sure to grab a card and get it stamped! Buy 10 drinks, get 1 free!

Yelp
After living in Taiwan (the birthplace and capitol of bubble tea) for 18 months, I can confidently say my barometer for good bubble tea and flavored teas is fairly accurate. As I was too full from bulgogi at Sura next store, bubble tea was not in the cards. Instead I ordered my trusted companion on many hot Taiwanese days; Mango Green Tea. Boy did it deliver. My only regret is not being able to try the bubble milk tea at this time, but I'll be back soon to try it.

Yelp
AMAZING!!! Please go to this place. I go all the time, a nice sweet family. The drinks are very inexpensive compared to other Boba places in Tulsa. A large here can get you a small somewhere else. The drinks are amazing, boba is always fully cooked. Popping boba is amazing. Strawberry slush with popping mango boba is amazing. The service is fast they give you the extra left in the blender. I went there with 6 friends and ordered 7 drinks and it took them barely anytime. Drinks are good, inexpensive, money goes to a sweet family, very peaceful atmosphere, HIGHLY recommend.

Yelp
Not a good experience. They really only have milk tea. I asked for tea and honey. No honey. I asked for lavender tea; she starting using powder. I don't like powder. I want tea. Tea and a light flavor. The lavender extract she used had flowers in it. Eating boba and flowers was not pleasant.

Yelp
Nice place with nice girl working. Good selection of drinks with some appetizers. 1st time for Taro, Yum! Get a drink card, buy 10 and get 1 free!!!!

Yelp
Really great boba place! Small, clean, and an excellent selection of drinks and snacks. Highly recommend the classic milk tea with boba and the matcha green tea with Oreo. We went in for the first time today and had to get another drink to go! Plus, you know it's legit when there's a boba cup cover machine. :) Lots of flavors available for the cold drinks, both milk-based and juice-based. Hot drinks have some fun surprises including teh tarik or "pulled tea" and Milo, which are popular in Southeast Asia! Snack selection is also awesome, and a little "off the beaten path". There are the standard dumplings available, but Hey Boba also has Taiwanese fried chicken and fried fish balls (if you haven't tried it already, you really should!). All in all, really great place, will definitely be back!
google avatar

Grace Y.

Yelp
Great local place for boba. Of course it can't compare to the more "commercial" boba places, but the flavor is decent and I love supporting local places. They are even offering home made bread loaves. The bread had a lot of flavor and tastes great toasted with some butter. Only complaint is it was a bit pricey at $6.
google avatar

Yelp
The milk tea is very good I got the coffee Milk tea they made it fast they were friendly

Yelp
Bubble tea lovers can finally get their fix in Tulsa! Hey Boba is THE place in Tulsa to get boba teas! I've loved everything I've tried here: - Jasmine green tea: creamy and just a hint of floral from the jasmine. This is my go-to order! - Oolong tea: this isn't on the official menu (yet!), but if they're making oolong tea that day, I would order it. It's a little on the sweet side for me, so I ask for it less sweet. It's smooth and the milk cuts down oolong's natural astringency. - Classic milk tea: a solid black milk tea. Every time I've come, the balls have been cooked just right - not mushy or underdone. Also, the snacks are great! The chicken cutlet and the crab rangoon I tried both came out crispy and not greasy. There's plenty of seating and there's free wifi for pretending to work while you sip those bubbles. For the more playful (or the ones who have no pretense of doing homework at a bubble tea cafe), there's a photo backdrop for snapping the perfect bubble tea selfie.
google avatar

Hue Ye L.

Yelp
It doesn't look like much but there's people lining up for a reason. The boba isn't too strong and isn't too weak. Boba lovers know what I'm talking about. She also sell Asian pears which are sweet. The lady treated us like family and made sure we enjoyed the boba and the place. She showed is a pretty cool chandelier that we might install in our homes one day.
google avatar

Bert H.

Yelp
This restaurant is simply awesome. I liked the boba combo and god flavored tea. They are doing a fantastic job offering meals that are fair priced and would highly recommend. Was there yesterday and nothing has changed.

Yelp
'Hey Boba' was a pleasant surprise! I stumbled upon this newly opened tea stand after returning a rental car! The vibrant colors of orange and green caught my eye and drew me in! When you enter you're met by a very clean, hip atmosphere. The owners are extremely welcoming. I had never experienced the Boba infused tea and they helped me choose the best drink for me! I got the Passion Fruit Green Tea with Popping Mango BoBas!! I also ordered a side of their fried chicken. When the tea came they delivered it with a rather large straw, they explained it was to better carry the Bobas!! The drink was delicious, and the Bobas, lets just say they totally took me by surprise! Boba's are fruit flavoring encased in a sugary capsule that "pop" when you bite down, which release the delicious fruit flavoring! The drink reminded me of something out of a science fiction novel. "A drink of the future!" Haha but really, children and adults alike will enjoy the Boba experience!! If you're a little hangry, their Thai-flavored fried chicken is a great Choice! Tulsa, let's help this new business succeed!!

Yelp
Good boba! We got taro milk tea w/regular boba. We didn't try any food but maybe next time. I would recommend Hey Boba.
google avatar

Zachary W.

Yelp
Social media can feel free to correct me if I'm wrong, but I think this is Tulsa's first (and only) dedicated bubble tea shop. Sure you can get one at the mall and you used to get be able to get one at the OK Asian Market, but the experience is different. Standard fair and flavors, except they have more toppings outside of just boba, so you can end up with a gelatin packed super drink with jellies, popping boba and even flan. The snack combo at $7.99 is a great deal for a snack or even a light lunch. As long as the heat keeps up, I'll probably be back on a regular basis to get a cooling Taro tea.
google avatar

Venus F.

Yelp
My favorite bubble tea in Tulsa. Tried a few others and this place was the closest to the high quality ones we tried in Dallas. Ordered the honeydew with extra boba and boyfriend had the strawberry smoothie with boba and strawberry poppers. Both were delish! The atmosphere was bright and clean. Had seating with tables and two cute futons. Plenty of parking. Good hours.
google avatar

Christina A.

Yelp
I got the taro boba milk tea and it was good, not very sweet. I think I became used to the sweet and tasty boba tea at Pholicious in the Woodland hills mall, plus I think Pholicious has softer boba, but the ones in my drink here were chewy like fish eyeballs (in my imagination). I have to try more of the products here and the smoothies to give it a fair review. One cool thing is that if you buy 10 drinks you get one free with their punch card. Definitely give it a try!

Melanie A.

Yelp
The BEST Boba in Tulsa (and I literally tried them all in 1 week to test my theory). Tons of flavors, great dairy free options, and perfect tapioca consistency. Not to mention the owner is an absolute angel. My go-tos are the earl grey milk tea and an order of fried dumplings!!
google avatar

Zy S.

Yelp
The first bubble tea shop in Tulsa! Good location . Easy to get there. I have been looking for tasty bubble tea in Tulsa for many years. Today I find it! As a Taiwan bubble tea flavors. It tastes so good. The shop also selling Asian snacks. It has good price. Store decoration are simple and clean. Great sense of color . Expect more variety of bubble tea flavors. I 'll try all!
google avatar

Yelp
Edit-- It has been a while since my first visit, and since I was in the area I decided to try this place again.... And... Wow! What a major difference. I just remember my first experience leaving me extremely disappointed. However this visit left me wanting to come back! The boba is nice and chewy, a satisfying consistency. I ordered the winter melon flavor this time and it was delicious! Not as great as Sharetea or Kungfu Tea but for Tulsa, Hey Boba is great.

Yelp
After trying many bubble tea places in the Houston, Dallas, and Austin area, you could say that we have pretty high standards when it comes to bubble tea. However, we came here with open mind since it was our first time trying a bubble tea place in the Tulsa area. Both of the guys who took our order were very friendly and made sure that our drink was made to our liking. We decided to try their classic Jasmine Milk Tea with tapioca and light ice. While waiting, there are plenty of seating to choose from, and even a Hey Boba themed backdrop for taking selfies. The place was quite clean, and is perfect for catching up with friends or studying. After taking the first sip, we realized that the milk was overpowering the Jasmine Tea flavors. We could tell that they had used good quality Jasmine Tea, which unfortunately was masked almost completely by the milk. The drink was also slightly too sweet, but did have light ice just like we asked. The bubbles were soft and chewy, and sweetened just the right amount. That being said, we don't mind coming back if adjustments are made to their drinks, especially their Jasmine Milk Tea. Maybe next time we're in the area, we'll give their snacks a try to give an more comprehensive review of this place.
google avatar

Maice L.

Yelp
Thanks to the Asian guy work here, clearly explained it to me about their lists. 5 of 5 stars ** One thing, they need to make something better different than them. SOOOOOO BEST BUBBLE TEA WITH MECHA TEA (LESS SUGAR)

Robyne T.

Yelp
Well, we've spent the last two weeks of my parents visiting me here in Tulsa trying EVERY boba tea place we could find. Hey Boba is literally actually the most revolting use of $5.70-whatever that ever happened to me. First of all, the store is filthy. The atmosphere is weird. We would've walked out if it were not for the 4.5+ star reviews we saw on yelp. The service was fine. But the Tea...the tea was awful. The boba was weird and wrinkly and giving off some strange slimy flakes inside my drink. It looked like a dirty fish tank inside my cup. I managed ONE sip with a tapioca pearl in it and couldn't take another one. It was a stomach turning experience. If you want good boba in Tulsa, go to Cha or Kung Fu Tea.

Tanya L.

Yelp
Something was not right with the drink I bought today. I'm pretty sure gym socks is not a flavor but that is what my Taro tea was reminiscent of. Hopefully, they were just having an off day today but I won't be revisiting to find out.

Robert L.

Yelp
My family and I are huge boba fans and have tried very boba shop in Tulsa. I have now idea how this place has such high reviews. It was sincerely the worst boba we have had...ever. We bought 3 drinks and threw them all away. Cha and Kung fu are the best choices in Tulsa.
google avatar

Emily B.

Yelp
Hey Boba is the best milk tea spot in Tulsa- bar NONE. I've been coming to Hey Boba since 2016 and their menu has stayed relatively simple, consistent, and GOOD!! They've added some hot and cold food options over the years which are all worth trying- potstickers and fish dumplings especially. The tea itself is classic. Flavors like Thai, Taro, and Jasmine are a few of my favorites. There's also flavors like Banana, Strawberry, Coconut, Melon, and more for when you'd like to branch out. They serve milk tea, vegan fruit teas, coffee, and hot teas which are all great and different in their own ways. Some toppings I've tried include popping pearls, jelly, and of course: tapioca boba. Their boba is homemade and chewy. I'm not a fan of the popping but I know it's become a fad in milk teas lately. The owner is one of the sweetest people you'll ever meet and you'll often see her when you visit these days. Great service, great shop, great tea.
google avatar

Nadia J.

Yelp
On a desperate search for boba tea, and saw great reviews for this place. Decided to step in on a Sunday. Very casual, not too busy. I ordered the Jasmine green tea with boba as the directions on the board said to pick your base (tea or milk) then flavor. When I received my order, it was a milk tea. I informed the staff member that I was under the impression it was just going to be iced tea with boba because I'm lactose intolerant. Without hesitation, she makes me another one. Well it still looks milky but she said it was made with a non-dairy powder. Hm it tasted like a milk powder with boba. I drank a couple sips mainly to get the tapioca pearls and tossed it. That's a first. Due to the difficulty in creating what I truly wanted, likely will not return. Did not try the food though, so maybe for that.

Yelp
This is the best Boba place in Tulsa. Drinks and food are always delicious, and the employees are always so kind! This is definitely a family environment, so fun and brightly colored as well. All around a great place. Definitely recommend!!
