Hey Bread

Love the variety of bread and cakes. It is nice to find a Bakery that tastes like what I had back in China. I get it from too good to go first, then kept ordering them. There maybe some culture differences, like the pineapple bread that doesn’t taste like pineapple ( The crispy sweet crust on top of the bread looks like pineapple so that’s where the name comes from. And it can come with no fillings, red bean, taro, or the savory ones like pork. ) It’s good to see how people who haven’t had it imagined how it tasted, and definitely would recommend the Bakery show the vegan/not information if they want broader audience. Meanwhile, I think trying out new things with an open mind is great!

i found this place on the way home from work a few weeks ago and i love it! the bread they sell is sooo soft and yummy. their corn cheese ham sandwich is my favorite item ◡̈ there’s also been a new item every time i’ve come to the store so it’s fun to try out different things every time. the staff are always so friendly too! i definitely recommend!

Stopped in tonight when I was walking by with my girlfriend. grabbed three things from the sparse remaining selection. (It was late in the day, I’m sure it was sparse because it’s popular and people buy it all the time!) I got a Floss Pineapple bun, a red velvet cake, and some bun looking thing with Oreos in it. So, we first tried the floss pineapple bun. neither of us had any idea what it actually was but we love trying new things! First impression, definitely not for us! Nothing tasted (to either of us) anything like pineapple at all! No one else ventured to try it. Afterwards, we looked up their menu to see what was in it and we found out it’s pork!! Rather or not I would eat a bun with pork on it and enjoy it doesn’t really matter, I would have likely tried it anyway. But my girlfriend doesn’t eat meat, so she definitely wouldn’t have tried it. Also, side note: I have been to places with similar offerings as this that advertised their products as having pork in them. “But, why good sir didn’t you just ask them what was in it?” You’re right, a great question! The store employee was aimlessly talking away on her phone which made me feel like she was unavailable to help: I would have definitely asked otherwise. But it was late and I forgive her. The red velvet cake was okay- it’s not my favorite type of cake and I got it more to try something different. The Oreo thing is waiting for tomorrow… Try if you dare? If you have dietary restrictions or preferences definitely ask!

If you are curious about the blue sign and mysterious chinese character on this store, please don't try it and waste your money. Trust me. I tried it. Saturday around 10am.. no bread only cookie. Shelve on the side was complete empty. Tried matcha and complete waste of money. Can't believe they are charging $5 for these cookies with rediculous qulity. All my friends agreeed that grocery shop cookie would be much much better. Not sure about other cookies, but definitely matcha cookie was the utter failure. They were keep asking me with mandarine even though I told them I don't speak chinese. Owner needs to be responsible for running this shop.

I bought two macarons from this place $1.75 each. I tasted one and spit it out cause it tasted very very strange. Upon closer inspection there was a weird spiderweb like flossy mold on the side. Checked the other macaron and it had the same. Gross, I am not going back.

This is the best sweet bread in the neighborhood, even if they open late in the day! Low-key and easy to miss when you walk by. These loaves are the real deal. Keep them in business!

Just had their Portuguese egg tarts (they also have the traditional Hong Kong style) and they are delicious. Seems to have a wider selection than Yi Soon Bakery down the street.

Just came in yesterday and they have a lot of different options to choose from. I love the egg tart and the pork floss bun. I would recommend and I will be back!

Huge bread lover here. I stopped by briefly to satisfy my craving for some Asian buns. Their breads are VERY soft and fluffy but I found them to be quite a bit more greasy compared to other Asian buns I've had elsewhere.

I like this bakery very much, tasty bread and gentle side on suger level on sweets. You can also eat and have some drink at this place as well. Flavor of all is very balanced and compared to American standard, it feel very healthy and enjoyable. Allston has quite few Asian bakery but this place is my choice. Usually I am not into breads and sweets but this place is exception, I recommend this place for everyone.

I was in the area on my way down to another bakery when I saw the sign and the Chinese characters. I ended up coming here instead. What a wonderful surprise! I arrived a little after 8PM and was able to get a red bean bun, a taro bun, a hot dog bun (too many scallions), and a trio of butter buns. All of them were very fresh and tasty with the right balance of savory and sweet. I plan to come back again to try a roast pork bun.

Stopped by on a whim and glad i did.. got the coconut toast bread and it was such a good price. The bread was fresh and tasted amazing. Will go back again but earlier as i went towards late afternoon... gotta support new places and hope they succeed in crazy times..

The cream is not good. It tastes like plant-based rather than animal cream. Disgusting... I never imagine that I will eat such cream jere. (bought the 4-inch cake)

I've been eating egg tarts all my life. These Portuguese style egg tarts are amazing! Really creamy and perfect texture. The Chinese style ones are very good but the Portuguese ones are so good that we order two dozen to bring to two parties this weekend. Enjoy

Very delicious asian/Chinese style breads and pastries!!! High quality and cute interior. I believe they are made fresh daily, since they were out of stock of some items at the end of the day right before closing, but it's definitely worth it for the freshness! Prices were not cheap by Chinatown standards, but not expensive for the size and quality of the delicious breads, and still a steal compared to American bakeries. Happy to have them in the neighborhood!

These are Chinese style pastries. They are tasty and with really good prices, very recommended.

Love their Chinese bread pastries. They also sell cakes, but I think their breads are better.
