Cheese Tea Mega Chain HeyTea Just Opened a Store in the Seattle Area | Eater Seattle

"As of August 30 I noted that the massive Chinese chain HeyTea opened its first Washington State location inside Bellevue’s Bravern mall, marking the brand’s third U.S. West Coast outpost. Credited with originating the cheese tea craze in Guangdong in 2012, the shop specializes in cheese tea—sweet iced tea topped with foamed milk and cream cheese—and prides itself on high-quality ingredients like real fruit and real cream; the Bellevue location even cooks the boba balls used in some drinks in-house and prices drinks starting around $7. The interior is sleek, almost spaceship-like, and the colorful teas and the signature “guy drinking some tea” logo make the cups social-media-ready. For opening-week promotions it ran buy-one-get-one and 50%-off-second-drink deals and handed out limited-edition fridge magnets (a variant showing the logo holding an umbrella) to customers who posted on social media. HeyTea Bellevue is open daily 11 a.m.–9 p.m., and until 10 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays." - Harry Cheadle

The first thing you notice is how divine this little place smells. I'd happily wait for my order surrounded by the smell of tea leaves. Can they bottle the scent and sell that too? The drinks are great too! I've only had two so far and both have been great. The staff is also very helpful.

Google
I love the vibe of the place. The writing and motion image (up on the screen) is playful. Place was pretty tight though; people were lined up against the wall & the waiting area for customers is probably 2 adult shoulder lengths wide. So thats how close everybody was when the line got long. Triple supreme matcha latte had a good matcha flavor, but i’m not a fan of the jelly at the bottom. The drink was pretty good overall, 8.5/10. Coconut mango boom was really good, I definitely recommend it 11/10! Mango grapefruit boom was also good, 10/10. But, the grapefruit & coconut flavors didn’t show much through past the mango. So they both just tasted like good sweet mango drinks with sago. Coconut mango boom was probably a little sweeter!

I’ve always been a loyal fan of HEYTEA. I used to drink it all the time back in China. The Bellevue store has been my go-to location for a long time, and the quality has always been consistently great. The staff are very gentle and warm, and everything in the store runs in such an organized and orderly way. Today I caught their BOGO of Green grape boom, had one drink myself and brought another one home. Even though Seattle’s rainy season has officially begun, this delicious drink instantly lifted my mood and made me feel so much better.

Heytea locates on the second floor of Bravern, opposite LeTAO. Parking is free with validation in Bravern parking garage. The store is a bit small so you will need to step outside on crowded days. There is no table in the store at all, just space for you to wait for your order. One good thing about Heytea is that they add new/seasonal drinks quite often and still keep some signature options in the menu. My favorite is the pure green tea with matcha cream and for my partner is the mango coconut boom. Their boba is okay but they usually stick to each other which is really annoying. The jelly is very unique because they are bigger and softer than other places. The cup size is a bit small so it always feels unsatisfactory after finishing the drink, and they only have one size. In overall, Heytea is a decent boba place with a good variety of options. I would still recommend it if you are in Bellevue and want to try something new. One final note is to download their app and check for occasional BOGO promotions.

I had been wanting to try Heytea for a while, and I finally did. It was so good! not overly sweet, really fresh, and made with quality ingredients. I will definitely have it again😋♥️

Google
I like the Coconut Mango Boom. I think it tastes great! There is always a wait whenever I go though, around 15-20 minutes on average. But I think the drink is good so I come back. They have an app too for ordering and tracking, its convenient. Also tried Passion Fruit Blast but too tart for me and won't get again.

FAVORITE BUBBLE TEA SHOP: I absolutely love their coconut drinks here! Can’t go wrong with any of their best sellers. This shop absolutely nails their specialty drinks. Highly recommend.

Google
I’ve visited many HEYTEA locations, but the Bellevue Bravern store truly stands out. Every time I come here, I’m impressed not just by the drinks, but by the people behind the counter. This location is consistently busy, yet the staff remain calm, focused, and professional under pressure. What really caught my attention was observing how the team works together. The staff communicate clearly, help one another without hesitation, and maintain a smooth workflow even during peak hours. You can tell they work extremely hard and take pride in what they do. Their interactions with customers are polite, patient, and respectful, which makes a big difference when the store is packed. On one visit, I arrived late for my pickup and fully expected to just take the drink as is. Instead, the staff kindly offered to remake my drink so it would be fresh, even though they were already very busy. That level of care and customer consideration is rare and deeply appreciated. As for the drinks, HEYTEA never disappoints. The Coconut Mango Boom is clearly the crowd favorite for a reason—it’s refreshing, fruity, and perfectly balanced. Their new Tiramisu Milk Tea is a delightful surprise, with a rich, dessert-like flavor that still feels smooth and not overly sweet. My personal favorite, though, is the Triple Supreme Matcha Latte. It has a deep, authentic matcha flavor that’s bold yet creamy, making it one of the best matcha drinks I’ve had anywhere. Despite how busy this location gets, the Bellevue Bravern HEYTEA team consistently delivers high-quality drinks and exceptional service. Their professionalism, teamwork, and genuine care for customers are what keep me coming back. Highly recommended.

Yelp
Heytea is super trendy in New York and I was excited to try it here in Bellevue. Located in The Bravern, you can park in their lot and Heytea will validate your ticket for six hours. The shop is small and is mainly a counter to order and receive your drink. Also the guy taking our order seemed like he hated his job, but he wasn't rude, just very unenthusiastic. On their menu, drinks with "cloud" have cheese foam, and drinks with "boom" are slushy. I got the cloud green grape drink and added boba. Wow! this drink was so good. It had cheese foam and it was a slush. There were pieces of green grape as well. The grape flavor was very pronounced and natural, it didn't taste artificial at all. The boba was chewy and sweet which I enjoyed. My friends got the supreme brown sugar bobo milk tea. This is where my review only get 4 stars instead of 5. The drink had a very light tea flavor and a strange after taste. It was hard to describe but I would stay away from their milk teas. Overall their fruit tea is where they shine and I am excited for my next trip to Seattle to try the other drinks.

Yelp
- delicious, but service could be improved - I was in the area and had a 10% birthday coupon, so I placed an order through the app. It was ready within 10 minutes, which was great. However, the drink wasn't packed, and the employee asked whether I needed a bag in a very casual--almost rude--tone. I said, "No, I'm good," and took the drinks, but I felt uncomfortable. It was a noticeable contrast compared to the great service at other boba places like Chi Cha San Chen or MACU, where drinks are already properly packed for you. I ordered the Coconut Mango Blue, and I got the Supreme Brown Sugar Boba Tea for my husband since the original version was no longer available. My drink was actually delicious--I finished it within 5-10 minutes. My husband, however, said the milk tea wasn't as good as the original. I took a sip and mainly remember that the drink itself wasn't very good, though the boba was surprisingly soft and chewy. I'm not sure how those two qualities can coexist, but they somehow did, lol. After the 10% discount, the total came to $14.85. This place is definitely not cheap by Bellevue standards. I'd probably order from somewhere else next time for better service and overall drink quality.

Yelp
Surprised I haven't left a review here. I'm definitely a converted HEYTEA fan. I'm typically the guy who calls things good but overhyped however I will be hyping HEYTEA up. As they expand across the states, they've stayed very consistent and I know exactly what I'm getting anywhere. Compared to some of the "modern" tea shops and brands with insane lines, I think wait time here is more justified. Pro tip is to order on the app, they have fairly accurate, real-time monitoring for time estimates and number of drinks ahead. While I originally knew them for fruit teas and cheese foam, I've grown to love their matcha as well. Particularly the triple supreme matcha with matcha mochi. High quality all around. I currently frequent the SLU location because it's more accessible and convenient but will give props here for being the first location in Washington.

Yelp
Overall it was decent, they don't have a bunch of options (specifically like fruit teas which I like ) but did have milk tea, slushies, and matcha. Overall it was alright, just didn't have my classic pics (fruit tea with lychee jelly my fav). I felt like the milk tea I had was tea forward and I got it with boba which was good. Overall it was good. The space is really teeny tiny tho, def grab and go -- there's no sitting space. Service was pretty nice but one thing I noted was that we asked what was in the mango grapefruit boom and all the person said when we took the order was mango and grapefruit slushie and didn't mention anything snout the toppings which we realized when we got the drink

Yelp
It's a bit overhyped but the drinks are not bad. I actually would come Back again for the kale juice. It's smooth and refreshing and I like the chia seeds! The cup it comes in I wish it would be a glass vessel. It's plastic but still super cute. Overpriced for $9 though.

Yelp
5 BIG BOOMS FOR THE COCO MANGO BOOM!!!! No space inside for seating and it's a bit cramped. However, we got our drinks quickly considering it was a Saturday afternoon!

Yelp
I've only had Heytea once before, but I've heard good things about the quality of the tea since they opened. There was a minimal line when I arrived, which was so nice since it was midday (prime boba drinking time). Last time I tried the triple matcha and today I got the coconut mango blue (which is the same as the coconut mango boom but just blue). I liked the sago in the drink and could easily tell there was real mango in it. The blue was a pretty color, and it was one of the main reasons why I chose this drink. I think it's a good choice for coconut fans (which isn't necessarily me, so it was a bit too much coconut personally but I set my expectations accordingly). The first drink I tried was a triple matcha, and I really enjoyed the matcha flavor. It had three different elements and forms of matcha in the drink, which was really cool and tasty. I'll definitely need to get that again in the future and try other matcha drinks. The highlight this time was the service. The person helping me was so friendly and helpful, and I especially appreciated it since it was my first in-person visit. Overall I'd definitely recommend Heytea.

Yelp
I've tried the hey tea location in LA before and remembered it being really good, so I was excited to try this location in Bellevue. I came around 5 PM, and it was just me and my friends no one else in the shop! Drinks are on the pricier side, but it makes sense for the location and the quality of the drinks. The inside is super small, more of a "order and go" setup, so you don't really stay for long. That said, the moment you walk in, you're hit with this strong tea aroma, which is honestly my favorite part! I tried the mango grapefruit boom, and it was delicious. The mango was in season, so it was perfectly sweet. Their triple supreme matcha is also one of my favorites, and the matcha mochi part is just 10/10. Their creama is also incredible, I'm seriously addicted. I'd buy a whole cup of it if I could! I also love their cups they're the kind of sturdy cup I'd actually reuse, and it doesn't feel flimsy. Even the cute little drawings on their napkins are a nice touch. Those small details make me smile! I just wish hey tea was closer to where I live TT^TT.

Yelp
It was my first time here, but so far I am impressed. I tried their seasonal drink, the Longjin Latte (a.k.a. Dragonwell). It was very good! I didn't get the Cloud tea, but the regular latte surpassed my expectations! It was very flavorful and not to sweet. I liked the tea straw they give that perhaps enhances the flavor? Either way, it was nice to sip my tea as I strolled around Bellevue. I like the modern design and it smells very nice inside their store. They have a ticket system with a monitor so it was easy to know if my order was being prepared or was ready. I'm looking forward to returning and trying some of their signature drinks.

Yelp
Horrible Customer service and long wait times. Employees are unhygienic and rude. Everytime I go to this establishment they act is if I didn't place an order.
google avatar

Smaly K.

Yelp
Had dinner in the area on a Sunday night, and decided come grab a couple drinks after before we went home. It was around 8pm, and still a little busy. I ordered the Grapefruit Boom with matcha jelly and the Mulberry Boon and added grapefruit pulp. And I did light sugar on both. Never seen mulberry flavor before, nor grapefruit pulp as a topping. Although it wasn't the regular fruit tea I expected, and a bit more slushy-like, they were both really good. Very fruity and refreshing. I love the fruit bits. I didn't care too much for the matcha jelly; it wasn't the usual jelly texture. I would love to try more fruit tea flavors.
google avatar

Arlene S.

Yelp
I ordered the grapefruit mango boom, and it was delicious. It tasted just like mango pomelo sago. I got the regular ice and sweetness level. The fruits tasted fresh. The mango was soft with a natural sweetness. The smoothie portion was blended really well. I really enjoyed the drink as it was refreshing for the summer. I also liked how they have a display screen showing the order numbers the staff is preparing and when they're ready for pickup. The storefront is pretty small so it is nice that you don't have to be crammed inside listening for your number. You can just refer to the screen, which also includes an estimated wait time.
google avatar

Nina J.

Yelp
I'm not sure if it's this particular location, but the drinks I had weren't much to hype about. I got the Coconut Mango Boom and while it was a good drink, it wasn't a standout either. For how long it took to get my drink (20+ minutes), I felt that the flavors of coconut and mango were very very mild and not worth the travel and wait.
google avatar

Lydia X.

Yelp
Heytea has genuinely become my go-to boba place ever since they opened in Bellevue. I LOVE their coconut mango boom so much. Hands down the best drink here. I also think their Matcha Cloud Jasmine is really yummy (just a bit too caffeinated since I usually get heytea in the late afternoons). This particular location validates your parking which is super nice! The wait can get pretty long depending on the time of day so I know some people will just place a mobile order and come by to pick it up.
google avatar

Edward C.

Yelp
Ordered on the app. Didn't go in until the app said it was ready. Pick up section was a mess no one would wait and people would cut. Staff behind the counter obviously looked overwhelmed. The first guy told me it wasn't ready and when I asked the gentleman who was also cashiering he immediately found it and told me it was ready. Cashier was helpful but the other gentleman not so much. Supreme Matcha Latte did not have the green tea jelly nor mochi. Mango grapefruit boom was subpar at best.
google avatar

Hanna K.

Yelp
Visited to see what the hype was and honestly it didn't disappoint! I got the mango grapefruit boom, which tasted like it was made with high quality ingredients and the flavor combination was really well-balanced. Loved that there were fresh mango chunks and how they almost melted into the coconut milk. One of the best milk tea beverages I've ever had! An issue for me was that the store is laid out really oddly, and you have to line up to order in a cramped narrow part of the store that gets really muggy to the point where it smells damp. After ordering, waited for our drinks outside, which was better bad, but then you have to line back up to pick up your order once you see your number pop up on the screen. On a rainy weekend afternoon, we waited for 20-30 min total. Service was kind and efficient. Parking available in the shopping center lot, and you can have your ticket validated at Heytea. Would totally come back to try other drinks but I'm a little hesitant because the ordering situation isn't super pleasant.
google avatar

Aliwia M.

Yelp
The place can get tight when there are 5+ people in there. I liked the vibe of the place, it's playful and aesthetic. There is no seating inside or in front of the place. The wait time was about 25 minutes for 4 drinks. Triple supreme matcha was decent but it's not something I would order again, there was quite a bit of jelly and I just wasn't a fan of the flavor. I recommend the coconut mango boom. It had mango pieces and sago, both were delicious. Mango was sweet because they mixed sugar with it on the bottom. I couldn't really taste the coconut or grapefruit (in the mango grapefruit boom).
google avatar

Kaylin P.

Yelp
Went on a Tuesday evening at 7 pm, so minimal wait. It's just slightly annoying how small the space is, so I stood outside and kept having to peek back on the screen to see if my order is ready because they don't call it out either. The door is also cramped with people ordering while you're trying to reenter to pick up your drink. Not the smoothest process if you're looking for an in-out situation. Drinks~ 1. Coconut mango boom (70% sweet): So delicious! I enjoyed the different textures of mango puree, sago, and coconut jellies. Tasted like real mango and no artificial flavors. 2. Matcha cloud jasmine latte (30% sweet) w/ black sugar boba: creamy and balanced with jasmine tea flavor, which I love because many boba places lack the presence of any actual tea flavor. I liked this drink too! Downside was that boba was way too soft. I would skip the boba next time. I'm not a fan of sweet drinks, and their drinks do fall on the sweeter side for me. So 30% sweet was perfect. A perk is that parking is validated. Cups also feel sturdy and the lid won't pop off on you which I appreciate. Overall, love the drinks but not the ordering process.
google avatar

Salina P.

Yelp
I tried the matcha cloud jasmine latte and the coconut mango boom. Both were good, but the matcha cloud jasmine latte was definitely my favorite. My favorite feature personally was the lid that rotates and allows you to sip, and seal again whenever you need. The shop itself is pretty small so you have to wait outside. There is a screen that tells you when your order is ready but it is also very small and not the easiest to read. They also validate parking.

Yelp
Hey Tea is located in the shops at Bravern in Bellevue Downtown. It's a small place and not doesn't have any indoor seating. The service varies on the number of orders they have. But it's never been bad at the bellevue one and I've gotten my orders pretty quickly. If you're a mango lover, then you should definitely try the cloud mango boom as it's delicious. It's nothing but just mango pulp and tastes delicious. It's also tried the crisp mango boom and that's good too. The place seems to have good ingredients and great tea!
google avatar

Shirley Z.

Yelp
HeyTea is one of my favorite Asian tea chains. The fresh ingredients, the tea aroma, and the long lines would lure anyone here! I've visited this location 4 times and overall it's been positive. Although I've gotten my order wrong once and the drinks have been inconsistent in its flavors and sometimes texture (sometimes icy, sometimes watery), they're still good nevertheless. I'd recommend downloading the app and ordering there to avoid the lines. And in my experience, the drinks have been more consistent on the weekdays.
google avatar

Lisa L.

Yelp
It's located in the Bravern with all the designer shops. Wait can be a little while but they have good drinks. Tried the triple supreme matcha latte (this seems to be seasonal) and mango grapefruit boom. Both were really tasty. The mango grapefruit boom has real fruit in it too!
google avatar

Amy C.

Yelp
I love their tea, which smells aromatic and sweet. The Cloud Coconut Blue tasted strongly of coconut but not much matcha. The wait could get long so I suggest ordering online.

Yelp
This place used to be Yifang tea but has been taken over by Heytea. I decided to come here after having lunch next door to give this place a try. The store was very small with only a few chairs to sit. This is more a place to grab and go. Looking at the menu, there were so many fruit drink options that looked very appealing. I decided to get the popular crisp grape boom while my partner got the coconut mango boom. After ordering, we had to wait about 15-20 minutes for our drinks. No biggie, we just walked outside to window shop around the Bravern. Once our drinks were ready, we immediately picked up our order at the counter. I really love the grape drink since they use real fruit to make this. The grape skins are all peeled and you can bite on each grapes. The tea was strong and complemented very well with the grapes. Definitely my new favorite and will order this again. I tried the coconut mango drink and thought it was good with a strong mango flavor. There's sago in the drink which made it taste like you're eating a mango sago dessert. This was a nice refreshing drink to try. Overall, the drinks were very good but it is a bit pricey, about $8+ per drink. When did boba become this expensive? =/ Would I come back? Sure, but only if I'm near the Bravern and craving for fruit teas. One great thing about here is they will validate your parking. Definitely give this place a try if you're into fruit teas.
google avatar

Alexa Z.

Yelp
Delicious drinks! The flavors are so fresh and unique. They're unlike anything I've had before. Service was quick and efficient. They have a screen that shows what orders are ready for pick up and staff is great at getting orders completed accurately and efficiently. The store is small and really just enough space to order drinks in and take somewhere else. There are some nice places outside to sit if the weather is nice. There is a parking garage and valet.
google avatar

Selina H.

Yelp
I've only ever gotten the coconut mango boom here but it's super good and refreshing. They use real fruit so the mango didn't taste artificial or syrupy like some fruit tea places. This combo with coconut and sago made it such a delicious dessert. Definitely getting this again!! You can bring your parking validation here which is nice. I also recommend ordering online to pick up since the wait can get pretty long

Yelp
I heard Heytea was the orginator of the cheese foam and I knew I had to try it. First of all what impressed me the most was the cup for the cloud cheese green tea. You can twist the lid and then drink out of the opening. It's nice because you can close it and not worry about your drink spilling. The green tea had a very nice floral taste to it. Even at regular sweetness the drink itself was not very sweet. When combined the two things blended so well. The cheese foam was delicious. It made me think I had never had a good one before. It was very creamy and had a stronger cheese flavor than other places I tried. In my opinion the drinks were pretty expensive for what they were. For 3 drinks it was about $27 - the most I have paid for drinks in Washington. I think the drinks were well made but can't really justify paying that much? But it is worth trying if you like cheese foam.
google avatar

Yelp
Each drink is uniquely crafted with its own design and portion, so standard sizing (small, medium, large) does not apply. Each beverage is offered in a single, custom size. Parking is validated for customers who park in the garage, be sure to bring your ticket for validation. Kale Boost Tea (seasonal) - Surprisingly smooth and balanced, this Kale Boost Tea avoids the usual bitterness of greens. The kale offers a clean, earthy base, while bright notes of ginger and citrus lift the profile. A touch of natural sweetness rounds it out, making it refreshing, not medicinal. Grapefruit Boom - Bright, slushy, and ultra-refreshing, this drink shines with real grapefruit pulp, slices, and juice, no artificial flavor in sight. Jasmine green tea adds a soft floral note that smooths out the citrus bite, while real cane sugar sweetens just enough. A clean, vibrant blend that's as honest as it is revitalizing. There's also a Mango Grapefruit Boom if you want an additional taste of Mango along with soft sago and coconut milk I might be biased as a matcha lover, but I've tried several of their matcha drinks, and the Cloud Matcha Latte is my favorite. It's made with real dairy milk, blended to a rich, creamy texture, and topped with their signature original cheese cloud, no artificial creamers, no shortcuts. Sweetened with real cane sugar, it's pure and indulgent. If cheese cloud isn't your thing, the Supreme Matcha Latte is a great alternative--simple, smooth, and just as high-quality. If you prefer a bolder, richer matcha flavor, the Triple Supreme Matcha Latte is the one to try. It's a seasonal offering, with an extra-thick blend that really highlights the depth of the matcha.

Yelp
I am a little conflicted with how I feel about this place. I actually found my drink, the supreme brown sugar bobo, to be really good. The boba pearls tasted nice and were a good chewy texture. The drink was definitely more on the creamy and heavier side compared to somewhere like chicha with a more strong tea flavor. The downside is how expensive the drink is at basically $10 for the drink and is a little out of the way. There is parking you can get validated here, but I'm not sure how often I'd be going here. I recommend people to try it if you're in the area, but there are always less expensive options too.

Yelp
Be aware that this place has a lot of incentivized 5-star reviews online due to free in-store gifts, so it's worth setting your expectations accordingly. I wouldn't wait in line for this, but I always stop by whenever I'm in the area. I loved the coconut mango boom from Heytea in Canada, and I'm thrilled there's now a closer location in Bellevue. I waited for the initial hype to die down before trying this place and have visited many times since. Fortunately, online ordering became available soon after the grand opening, and I highly recommend placing your order through the app to minimize wait times. However, the app doesn't indicate if your mobile order qualifies for any in-store giveaways, so you'll need to ask when you pick up your order. I'm not a fan of their milk tea, but the coconut mango boom is my favorite. It's cheaper, less sweet, and lower in calories, which is perfect for me. The coconut mango boom here tastes exactly the same as the one I had in Canada, so their production process must be very well standardized. The consistency is great--it's the same every time I order it. While some may see this as a downside, I prefer it to the inconsistency of similar mango drinks from other places, which can vary depending on the quality of the mangoes they receive. As much as I love their mango drink, the matcha bobo shake I ordered last time was terrible. It tasted watered down and lacked flavor.

Yelp
The drinks were sooo good! We placed an online order and the drinks came in cute branded paper bags. We were adventurous and tried a few different drinks - the Kale Boost Tea (less sugar) was surprisingly our favorite! My second fave was the Cloud Coconut Blue (i loved the coconut jelly in this one!). I wasn't the biggest fan of the Green Grape Boom this time because of how sweet the drink was - I wish I had selected a lessened sweetness option. Absolutely worth the commute from Portland!

Yelp
Adding more to this review from a more recent visit! Not really long lines now inasmuch as still a ton of drinks made and not really a great system for calling out which drinks are ready besides checking yoir phone and looking at the small TV screen to make sure your order is being prepared. I got the mango grapefruit boom which still had the great taste of mango I enjoyed from the coconut mango boom I got last time, though the sourness of the grapefruit almost overtook that mango taste. Still highly recommend here for some hreat mango-based drinks!

Yelp
Price - 4/5 On the pricier side but the real fruit and the size of the drinks make it pretty worth. Experience - 4/5 The app is pretty easy to use and gives rewards. Line can get long but service is pretty quick. There isn't any indoor seating so definitely more of a pick up and go store. Taste - 5/5 One of the best tasting green teas in Seattle for me. They use real fruit too which tastes really nice for fruit teas. The milk tea was good but didn't really stand out for me. Definitely come here for the fruit tea.

Yelp
Heytea has some very delicious fruit slushes - I've had a number of them, including the mango, yumberry, and mulberry/strawberry drinks. They all have some good pieces of fruit that add some nice texture and extra flavor. I think low sugar levels are good enough for all of them, because the drink bases are pretty sweet. The location is a bit cramped so if there's a line it gets a bit tough waiting, so ordering online is definitely the way to go - they are pretty quick with their service but the convenience of going through their app is way better imo.

Yelp
Love this place! Love the options and the seasonal varieties. When it first opened up the hype was strong and the place was packed all the time. But now that the hype is down things are more manageable and not that many people are there packing the store. The store itself is very clean and neat. Nice tea aroma and not overpoweringly sweet like some other places. But I think like the crowd shows the price is slightly on the higher side and that makes this place not as crowded now. They do run promotions pretty regularly and they have great seasonal options so definitely go check them out!

Yelp
The hype was crazy! The lines were long and the wait was even longer haha. I ordered the mango sago without tea! The drink wasn't too sweet and tasted just right with all the sago. I believe I came during the soft opening, so despite everything being hectic the service was great! They offered you little menus right away and answered our silly question about not having tea in our drinks (you have the option to not include teas in select drinks). Depending on the time of day or day you go, it seems like there is a steady flow of customers. With that being said, they only have a little windowsill where a few people can sit inside. But there is outdoor seating in front of the shops, though that is also limited.

Yelp
This place is very overhyped and I wouldn't recommend going out of your way to try it. I was excited to try Heytea because I love going to popular places to see what the fuss is all about. My friends and I ate dinner at Dolar Shop, and wanted to grab boba here since it's right next door. The line wasn't too bad for a weekend evening, and we waited about 10 minutes to place our order. Just note, there's a sign with a QR code for the app that states it had online ordering, but it was not working at the time. It took almost an hour to get our drinks. We saw our number pop up for "ready to pick up" about 20 minutes into waiting and when we went up to the counter, it wasn't there. The person at the counter in charge of checking receipts was extremely unhelpful and just kept saying to refer to the board for when our number was ready. Our order number WAS on the sign as ready, but then disappeared as later numbers filled the board instead. After, bugging the worker multiple times over the course of another 30 minutes, did she actually take a second to listen to us and determine that, our drinks were never made and that for some reason the bar never received our order. This is weird as we just placed our order at the counter like everyone else. The worker was going to make us wait indefinitely for an order that was never going to come. She was not apologetic for their mistake at all and seemed annoyed that we kept bothering her. We received our drinks about 5 minutes after the mistake was caught. We tried 5 drinks (grape boom, green grape boom, grapefruit boom, mango boom, and a cloud matcha latte). All the drinks were good and tasted as expected. The booms are fruit flavored slushies with a mild tea flavor. We thought they weren't too sweet even at regular sweetness. But I didn't really see what made this place stand out. I would be open to trying this place again as I understand what it's like to work in a busy cafe and sometimes issues just happen. However, I would highly recommend waiting until the hype dies down. Overall I rate this boba shop as 2 stars because the drinks were fine, but not worth waiting so long and dealing with poor customer service while also paying $9 per drink.

Yelp
This place is definitely different than other boba places we have around the east side. I will give it that. There are different fruit options for those who love fruity drinks. I have tried 4 drinks now and the fruit in the fruity ones wasn't something I would say I enjoyed; especially those bits that were a little sour from having the skin still on the grapes. The milk tea was average and not something I would go back for. In order of preference, I would say: - Coconut Mango - Cheese Grape Boom - Cream Cheese Yum Berry - Brown Sugar Bobo Milk Tea If you don't want to wait long, I would recommend going mid day during the week. The service was quick even with a line following along the back wall inside. I also appreciated the tv that showed which orders were ready and which were in progress of being made. It was very easy to see when to go up to the counter with so many other people also waiting for their drink(s).

Yelp
there was only enough room inside to wait in line to order (it can get crowded and musty), you would need to wait outside. order numbers are displayed on the screen inside and it is up to you to watch for it to be ready and picked up. this spot is so popular that inside and outside the store was crowded and busy. waiting for your order can take up to 40 minutes (i ordered it twice that day at separate time, first time was in person and second was on the app, both took up to 40 minutes). so i recommend downloading their app to order for pick up ahead of time if you want to grab and go. or if you have the time to wait, there are shops around you can shop at while you wait! drinks were super good and i would go back to try their other drinks, however, there are no alternative milk options - downside for me as someone who is lactose intolerant :/

Yelp
I've been hearing a lot about HeyTea since its boom on social media and so my boyfriend and I finally decided to give it a try! It's located inside of The Shops at The Bravern so there was a parking garage within the plaza. You can get your parking validated when you purchase your drink, so make sure to bring your ticket with you! We went on a late Sunday afternoon and there were still a lot of people waiting for their drinks/in line to order. Inside is really small, with there only being enough space to line up and order. There are no tables inside, but there are some tables outside in the plaza for you to enjoy your drink. The line to order went by really quickly, I think it only took us around 5 minutes before we were ordering. We got the coconut mango boom and the triple matcha supreme and they were both delicious! The coconut mango boom comes with sago and blended mango pulp, while the triple matcha comes with matcha jellies. I wish they added in a little more of the jellies since I didn't want to add any additional toppings, but it was delicious nonetheless. The coconut mango boom was the perfect blend of sweetness and creaminess. For the triple matcha, you can really taste the matcha without it being bitter. I liked how rich it was, but if you're not a matcha fan then this wouldn't be the drink for you. Both drinks were pretty sweet, so I think this is a better spot if you're looking for a dessert rather than tea. It took about 15-20 minutes for us to get our drinks, which didn't feel that bad because we were walking around the area as we waited. Overall, this was a great spot to check out and I appreciate the wide variety of well crafted drinks they have to offer! Again, I think this is a great place if you're more into dessert type drinks, but I've yet to try their tea selection so that'll be next on my list!

Yelp
Milk tea here is great! The quality is consistent and staff is friendly. Love premium milk tea and Yum Berry drink. I always choose no sugar but it's still sweet. If you have Wechat you can order in advance and pick it up. Very convenient. They have a sweet tea small all the time. Love this store

Yelp
The selling points are natural and organic ingredients. Hence, premium prices. But the taste is so so. I had supreme brown sugar milk tea with boba. The milk was really different from others. It was much thicker than regular. It lacks flavor or aroma of the tea and the brown sugar. Maybe the milk overcome the flavor or aroma of the tea which I think was also important for boba milk tea. Located inside a building with plenty of parking. Not sure if they validate parking. I validated mine elsewhere. But I assume they do.

Yelp
I decided to check out this new boba shop and it's worth a try, but does not leave a big impression compared to other new boba shops that have been opening nearby. Store: easily accessible if you walk or take the light rail. There's some seatings in the plaza while you wait for your drinks. There's not a lot of space in front or in the store, and with the amount of customers lining up, it's very cramped. There's a screen outside the store where you can see the estimated wait time and when your order is ready, so it's very convenient to check if it's your turn. we waited 30min so the estimated time was correct. I ordered the cheese yumberry boom. It was quite good, but not very memorable. It is on the pricier side for a sweet treat, so I won't be visiting again. Service: the staff was very nice and helpful in recommending the drinks.

Yelp
It's good. Is it $10 a drink good? Maybe for the novelty. Don't get me wrong, there's a reason why this brand is popular, and it's not because of the opening week promotions and the free Seattle-themed magnet (okay, maybe it's the magnet). But they pride themselves on fresh fruit and natural drinks, so does it stack up against other tea places? Actually, yes. I would say that the Yumberry drinks (Chinese bayberry is hard to come by) are good and fresh but lack a deep flavor, so they're worth trying just for the novelty. The better drinks are their mango and grape drinks, as the fruit is super fresh (the stringy fresh mango and crushed green grape bits are left at the bottom of the drink and are so good) and it makes those fruit drinks even better. The cheese foam is also some of the best I've had. So what would I actually recommend? The green tea cheese foam is slept on, but it's essentially a classic milk tea with their iconic cheese foam at actually affordable pricing (I paid $12 for two drinks during BOGO, the real cost was around $20). Once the novelty has worn off and you go through all the flavors, this is the drink I'd come back for. Just, you know, when the lines are shorter than 1 hour.

Yelp
Been wanting to come here after I saw they opened a new location in Bellevue. I think the drinks are good but it's not worth the hype frrr like why I am waiting for like 1 hour for a drink. Plus this was like 9$ for a drink which is absolutely insane if you really think about what exactly goes into just one drink lmaoo. I had this same drink this summer when I was in Shanghai and only paid $2.85 lol.

Yelp
This was the other place that I really wanted to check out when in town. What's nice was that they are located right across LeTao, so I was able to go to both places in the same visit. The wait here was a bit longer, but it's worth it. You can order online and then come back when the drinks are ready. We ordered the Cloud Crisp Grape and Mango Grapefruit Boom. This was the first time trying the grape slushy drink, which was phenomenal. It's probably one of the best fruit drinks I've had. The Mango grapefruit was also delicious and worth trying. Overall, the drinks are worth it here.

Yelp
This place recently opened at the Bravern so there's still a lot of buzz leading to long waits. Definitely recommend downloading their app to place your order remotely so you don't have to wait around for 20-30 minutes. We have come twice and gotten the grapefruit boom, coconut mango boom, and green lemon breeze. Everything we've had so far is delicious and tastes strongly of fresh fruit. The inside of the store has mostly been chaos each time with so many people waiting but ordering on the app lets you avoid this! Just don't forgot to grab a parking sticker when you pick up your drink to validate your parking!

Yelp
Trying their supreme brown sugar boba milk tea with cheese foam top. No line today. Awesome. It just taste like any other milk tea. They said they only used organic milk and tea. No powder. No milk substitution. Small seating area inside and outdoor too.
