Came by mid-afternoon for a sandwich and I'm glad I did. I had been meaning to come by for lunch ever since this opened and never got the opportunity until today. I got the Turkey & Avocado sandwich and liked it! The focaccia, the aioli, etc. all created a genuinely tasty sandwich. Whether dining in or getting takeout, I would recommend!

Dear reader, yes go here. Great option for a sandwich or picnic - great for a grab on the way to Union station like we did. We got the avocado turkey and the grinder. The bread was a perfectly fluffy focaccia that absorbed the sauces enough to keep the sandwich clean on the train but was not soggy or overloaded. This was a top tier duo of sandwiches. Our only regret was not ordering more things to bring along. Will be making this a must stop before the train station every trip.

I think I might have visited during off peak hours because it was casually occupied. Service was great. I always test out a deli by their Rubens and I was not disappointed. They also have a great selection of fine cheeses and Spanish hams. The Gouda was amazing.

This spot delivers! Stopped in randomly before a train ride and casually got one of the best sandwich experience I’ve had in years. Phenomenal bread, not too salty, perfect distribution of ingredients. 😮‍💨

Delicious spot for a bite in Portland’s Pearl neighbourhood. I go to Portland several times a year and love to try new spots. This was recommended to me by the staff at Oblation Papers, just around the corner. 

The atmosphere is clean and fresh. 
The food was delicious. 
The staff was extremely nice and informed on their offerings. I had their Turkey Avocado sandwich, it was very good. As well I had to try their Lemon Lime tart, which was creamy in the center with just the right crunch on the crust. 
I picked up a sourdough baguette t goo, and it too was fab. 

I’ll definitely come back to this spot on my next trip to PDX.

Super cute, dog-friendly place. Sandwiches are amazing and we also got the "cook at home" ravioli and a slice of the tiramisu. Very conveniently located near some of my favorite pearl places.

Very nice place for a quick stop and refreshments. Music is chill, sandwich is delicious. I ate in, it wasn’t crowded. People usually take to go. I liked sitting inside though.

I highly recommend stopping by HG Provisions if you find yourself in the neighborhood, maybe after a long stroll through Oblation and Blick? They have a very welcoming atmosphere, with friendly, knowledgeable staff and cases that draw your eye from the moment you step inside. We had an Italian Bomba sandwich, a Ruben, and a serving of tiramisu. The Italian comes with housemade vinaigrette that perfectly offset the cured meats on a very fluffy foccacia. My partner raved over their Ruben, and was particularly impressed with the pastrami. The tiramisu, though, was the star of the show. The marscapone was so fluffy, while the lady finger biscuits managed to retain a fair bit of crunch without skipping out on the espresso. If eating in isn't what you're up for, they have take and bakes like lasagna, cured meats and cheeses to order, or housemade bread and all of the spreads you may desire for your charcuterie cravings. I know we are certainly planning to visit again soon.

The Ruben is so delish, we ordered it again with a daily special - soft moist crepe filled with hot camembert cheese squishing out including pickled jalapeños and cauliflower. House made pickling, sauces, pastrami, soups - featuring local farm sources. Love it! Been for lunch and interested to check out happy out!

It feels like a small piece of Europe has made its way to the Pearl. HG Provisions is a quaint little deli on the corner of Glisan and 12th that just opened up about a month ago. From sandwiches to salads to soups, the menu has just the right amount of selections. I loved their house reuben - the ratio of meat to sauerkraut to sauce was spot on. My wife had the turkey & avocado on some of the freshest focaccia I've had in a long time. The potato salad was another hit with a nice mustard kick. Plus they have beers and wine to pair with anything you order. Not feeling a sandwich? There's a curated selection of breads, desserts, gourmet cheeses and meats to take home. The vibe of the shop is clean, simple and laid back. I highly recommend you swing by for a sandie!

Was on my way to get some of that Dutch Crunch from Bakers Mark when passed by this place and am glad I stopped. The prices all seemed reasonable for quality. I had the turkey avo sando and it was delicious. The space has some seating inside along with market items not on the menu (i.e. desserts, wine bottles, beer, na drinks). Cashier was super friendly and sand came out within a few minutes.

Super neighborhood deli. Stop in for a sweet treat or a full lunch with soup and sandwiches. I can vouch for the eggplant sandwich and the French onion soup. Excellent. Salads seem a bit skimpy for what you pay for but are tasty. I haven't tried a baked good I didn't love there. Great customer service as well. On a nice day you can even sit outside.

Friendly counter service, delicious oysters and a very good Reuben sandwich. Atmosphere is a little cold but I sat at the window bar and enjoyed people watching.

Just tried this place for the first time and I'm so happy that they opened in the neighborhood! The Italian bomba sandwich was amazing - the focaccia bread was so fresh and delicious. My partner got the Reuben and also loved it. Will be back!

Excellent food and desserts. Well priced. Friendly staff. Just what the Pearl needs after losing so many great businesses. Sit down option to enjoy food on site.

It is a highlight of my week to stop into H&G provisions for lunch. Everything I've had has been fresh, dynamic and hearty. I can tell a lot of care goes into balancing flavors and sourcing food. Excellent service, too. Highly recommend!

Wish I could give it 10 stars! Their homemade soups are so delicious, and their homemade pitas are fluffy and cloud like! My eggplant pita sandwich was drool worthy and I can wait to go back for fresh oysters!! Will be back again soon hopefully! Everyone was friendly and super customer service!

This place is fabulous! I have been here 8+ times since they opened shortly ago. Katie, Soizic, Chef and staff are amazing and highly recommend this place as a go to for having a meal or take it home. The fresh made pastas to take home are fabulous, as are breads, cheeses, deserts, wine/champagne selection, condiments, etc. I had them do a cheese, pate, and charcuterie selection for the two of us and we had a five star experience from home!

Lovely spot! My beef pot pie was SOOO good. Flaky pastry and meltingly tender beef in a very savory gravy. Perfect size. It felt indulgent but not excessive. Friendly, smiling service. Next time I want to try the ham and cheese sandwich.
