Modern brewery with fresh beers, local coffee, wine & cocktails

"Last year, Hi Sign left its rough-hewn warehouse by the airport and moved to a more central location in Govalle. The beers are calibrated to Austin’s warm weather, which means there are lighter styles along with dank IPAs and imperial stouts for those who partake. Service is warm in the spacious modern taproom, and staffers are happy to suggest favorites or offer a small sample to help patrons decide. There’s also a large outdoor area with picnic tables and food trucks Norte ATX and Ranch Hand for larger group get-togethers. Check the events calendar for regular comedy and trivia nights. There are indoor and outdoor dine-in areas." - Tom Thornton

"A neighborhood brewery whose beers will be served at the bookstore-cafe." - Nadia Chaudhury

"Celebrating its sixth anniversary with a three-day festival, this Govalle brewery will showcase new beers alongside food trucks, live music, and other festivities over a weekend-long party." - Nadia Chaudhury

"The relocated brewery will show World Cup games while serving $18 pitchers of its Eastside pilsner, El Berto, and Violet beers. The full schedule is on Instagram." - Nadia Chaudhury

"After closing its original southeast location in February, the brewery is reopening in the Govalle neighborhood at 730 Shady Lane with a Saturday, July 9 launch party (noon–10 p.m., DJ). The new site functions as both a taproom and production facility housed in a 1950s RC Cola bottling building, remodeled by OPA Design Studio to respect and repurpose much of the original infrastructure and design and featuring a mural of the Austin cityscape by artist Mike Johnston. The taproom will serve the regular beer lineup plus three new releases — including the Eastside Pilsner — and will host Burro Cheese Kitchen as an on-site food truck offering grilled cheese sandwiches. The operation was founded in 2017 by Mark Phillipe after years of homebrewing following his service in the U.S. Marine Corps." - Polly Anna Rocha
