The Best Marionberry Pies in Oregon | Eater Portland

"Located south of Oregon State University, the birthplace of the marionberry, this idyllic red-and-white barn-like farmstand opens its doors Fridays through Sundays. The bakery makes a classic marionberry pie with sweet-tart berries in a flaky, buttery crust, and also offers a mixed berry pie packed with marionberries, blackberries, blueberries, raspberries and strawberries. Whole pies are available fresh or frozen." - Janey Wong

Delicious food, friendly people, relaxed atmosphere. Open seasonally Fri, Sat, and Sunday. It can be a bit of a drive depending on where you start, but that does not seem to hold back a steady flow of locals and regionals on bikes and in cars stopping for superb baked goods, fresh eggs, and frozen meat from the farm. (If you know, you go😋)There's seating under the trees and porch to relax with friends and enjoy your bite. My quiche was so satisfying I forgot to capture a pic! GREAT pecan sticky buns…but really everything I've tried has been terrific - cinnamon rolls, lemon bars, pies, croutons!…Kate and Josh run a nice place and work hard to satisfy their customers. On my last visit, Josh ran out to the hen house to grab me some eggs since the cooler was bought out.

Amazing baked goods! Hard to pick a favorite item. Can honestly say I've never tried something I didn't care for here. Fun to spend a morning enjoying our favorite goodies and the grounds are so peaceful. Great to bring the family or even a great place for a date.

We are visiting from out of town and our foodie family members eagerly brought us here and I am so glad they did! Everything was phenomenal. High quality, great flavors, fresh ingredients and perfected textures. Of the six incredible things we tasted my favorites were the strawberry mini pie (perfect combo of flavors and thick lemony cream with the perfectly ripe strawberries) and the key lime bar (so creamy and such a lovely contrast to the crust with excellent flavor). The texture of the inside of my son’s cinnamon roll looked amazing and soft without being doughy. The staff were wonderfully friendly. I would happily come here again and again to try every single item they sell.

As a former bakery owner, baker and operator I must say they do an excellent job. The orange cinnamon rolls are literally perfect and 5 stars is not enough. Well worth the drive and the bakers, counter service all very good. So as a former bakery owner I wholeheartedly endorse and recommend them. They are doing it right.😎

What a gem to visit if you are in the Corvallis area! We are traveling nomads and love at first bite was at the Philomath market. I found my way to the actual stand many many times during our time in Philomath and I couldn’t help myself! The rolls, the pies, and even the bagel bombs were out of this world. I consider myself somewhat of a pastry snob being well traveled and Hiatt is at the top of my list! Enjoy the location or take them home you won’t be sorry. Don’t want sweets? Take a whole pot pie or hand pie home and thank me later! Last secret - Every once in a while they will make up a PB&J roll that is phenomenal!! Keep it up Hiatt, I’ll be back soon lol

OUTSTANDING - Hiatt Farms is something that locals can’t wait for them to open in the spring time! Highly recommend. There gluten free chocolate chip cookies are better than most regular ones. You can’t go wrong with anything in the menu. Very cute and cozy place for a nice weekend morning treat or even some beef or sourdough to go. Thank you!

This place will change your life. You've never had a cinnamon roll (or an orange roll, or a cheddar bacon scone) until you've had one from here. Over the moon delicious. Order one, eat it outside, and then order another one. Free house coffee. Fruit and meat pies available to purchase in the freezer cases. Other small gifts, honey, and jam for sale as well. This sweet little place is a couple miles off the beaten path but I'm telling you, once you go you will suddenly make up reasons to be in the area again so you can stop by. Yum!!

This place is a beautiful escape from the bustle of Corvallis and Philomath. It has great scenic seating and fantastic baked goods from meat and veggie filled hand-pies to your cinnamon rolls and even homemade jams and freshly baked bread. The gentleman I see running the shop is very kind and great to talk with.

Yelp
What a pleasant hidden spot! We are a sucker for a good cinnamon roll and these are amazing! All the pastries look incredible, It's almost impossible to not try them all. The shop is small and quaint and there are tables outside to sit and enjoy your pastries. Everyone working was friendly and helpful!

Yelp
This is a cute little stand just off the road of Peterson Road in Corvallis. They have lots of fresh vegetables and fresh fruits. Inside they have yummy pastries and now they are starting to do meats. Josh was the guy that help me he was great with a very kind and hospitable personality.

Yelp
As a Ozzie I bought a beef hand pie. Was awesome. Had truffle tomato sauce on top. Service was very friendly and the decor was inviting and well organized. My vegan buddy had a Marian berry pie which was very tasteful. Even my vegan friend will eat eggs and butter at this bakery.

Yelp
This place is the BEST! Only 6 min off hwy 99, and worth every minute of detour. I dream about their orange rolls, pecan sticky buns, pies... mmmm. You can order ahead as they do tend to sell out. Great goodies (local honey, jams/jellies, bread) also available for purchase. We love supporting them!

Yelp
Love this place! Best cinnamon rolls, pecan rolls, orange rolls around. They frequently have seasonal rolls that are equally delicious. We get their frozen savory hand, pies, ground beef, and steak. We recently got a jar of pickles and can't wait to try those as well. The folks running the place and working here just add to how wonderful Hiatt Farm is! It's a bit of a drive if you live in town, but you won't be disappointed.

Yelp
Large selection of fresh baked goods. Delicious morning pastries- we took home several kinds: pecan sticky buns, cinnamon roll, orange roll, and a raspberry roll with lemon cream cheese icing. All were soft, tasty and good sized. Also tried a Jalapeño Cheddar Bomb (basically a bread ball stuffed with cream cheese). The cream cheese was tasty, but felt like too much bread for me. There are picnic tables for dining there and they will heat up treats for you. The biggest drawback for me is the distance to get out there as it's away from major roads but it's a nice country drive.

Yelp
Awesome cinnamon rolls. Worth the drive out there for sure. Take a nice drive and pick up some.

Yelp
I thoroughly enjoy baking and am very particular about baked goods. Hiatt Farm had the BEST Fresh Orange Roll I've ever tasted. I haven't even made one that good and wish I had the recipe!
