25 Iconic Dishes That Define Los Angeles - Los Angeles - The Infatuation

"The Apple Pan has been open since 1947, which we imagine is the same year people started arguing about this living museum’s most popular item, the Hickory Burger. It’s the distinct smear of tangy-sweet sauce that elevates the simple, backyard-style cheeseburger with a tall stack of iceberg to local legend status, even if the barbecue haters might prefer the Steak Burger instead. Us? We’ll admit that the smoky flavor dominates, but it’s so delicious we don’t care." - garrett snyder, brant cox, cathy park, sylvio martins, jess basser sanders

Most Excellent ribs. Get the full.rack or suffer regret. Shrimp cocktail perfect. The shrimp sauce is pungent not overpowering Ask for the dark bread. Salad is just lettuce. Choose another side.. No desserts. Go to Dorthy Lane Market for that afterwards. A must. Atmosphere is 1960, rat pack, mobster hangout quaint...but cool. Tables are tucked tight. Crowded always on weekends. Make a reservation.

Can be a very long wait but it's worth it! Building is very historical, small bar and multiple rooms to eat in. The food was amazing. We got steak, ribs and shrimp. All amazing, the steaks was super tinder

Started dining here at a very young age (1980's). Even though the 20 ouncer was not a traditional steak, it has always been a favorite with our family. Last week, I discovered it is no longer on the menu. Add some content to the menu to warn steak snobs and mitigate risk of complaints, but please bring this steak back! It may not be for everyone, but this is a good steak!

This is the absolute best restaurant for barbecue in the city of Dayton. Over 60 years family owned with outstanding old fashioned customer service for the new millinemum. Ashley moves like a ballerina while making drinks,, its truly poetry in motion, and Jennifer was fast, courteous, fabulous and attentive. The owner was even present mingling with the guest, great friendly guy.. This was my first visit so if your looking for great barbecue with the best vibe, do check them out.. Today is November 18, 2022 I had a very long day lost a loved one and decided to step out and get a drink, lo and behold Ms. Ally her customer service is impeccable, her attention to detail is unmatched whomever hired her made an excellent decision. She has been a joy, When you visit ask for Ms. Ally you won't be disappointed especially if your looking for great customer service. Thank you Ms. Ally for brightening such a hard day for me. All 5he best to you and the staff

We celebrated a small occasion here and had a wonderful time. I went with the ribs, and she went with the porterhouse. Both really good! Great service!

Small, cozy restaurant with limited seating so expect a wait. My husband had the ribs and I had the BBQ chicken. Both were very good but be aware that the BBQ sauce is definitely vinegar based. A bread basket is also given with several kinds of bread. The highlight of the meal...the house dressing on the salad! So delicious! Free parking in a lot next door.

This is a classy classic Dayton restaurant. A veteran at the Air Force museum recommended it so we decided to try it. It did not disappoint. Very classic Dayton location.
