Hideout Lounge Arugambay

I recently had the misfortune of dining at hideout lounge in Arugambay and it was, without a doubt, one of the worst dining experiences I've ever had. First and foremost, the service was abysmal. After placing our order, we were left waiting for over an hour with no explanation or updates from the staff. The restaurant wasn’t even that busy, so the delay was inexcusable. When the food finally arrived, it was cold and clearly not worth the wait. The staff seemed indifferent to our concerns, offering no apology or attempt to make up for the excessive delay. It's clear that customer service is not a priority here. The overall experience was frustrating and disappointing. If you value your time and expect decent service, I suggest avoiding this place at all costs. There are plenty of other restaurants in the area that actually respect their customers.

I had a fantastic salad at hideout with warm pumpkin, many greens and pineapple. I did not set out on eating a salad that day, but after this salad I was thinking I should order more salads in life. It was delicious! Coffee was also great. The place has a lovely atmosphere and extremely friendly staff. Good place!

Amazing restaurant with a great vibe. Loads of options to choose from with a variety of vegetarian options. Best espresso martini in Sri Lanka for sure! The staff were so lovely and accommodating & we loved have baby Bruno sit with us for dinner :) 10/10 recommend!

Total disappointment, me and our friends went to eat for the second time there, we ordered food and then we got told to leave the premises as two of us did not have T-shirt. The premises did not have fan or AC so and we just came from the beach which was hot. Bad service by far, not well communicated and rude behaviour was what we got since we went in. We were 5 of us and we all had to leave, not tbe best business model and 0 empathy about the situation, we could have got told to bring a T-shirt next time and so we could eat with our friends. Not recommended, definitely not coming back.

The restaurant boasts a unique and diverse menu, and every dish I tried was delicious and beautifully presented. The interior decor is impressive, with a warm amber glow that adds to the cosy and inviting atmosphere. The barman created some of the best cocktails I've ever had, each one uniquely crafted and bursting with flavour. The live music added an extra layer of enjoyment to the evening, providing a wonderful atmosphere that perfectly complemented the dining experience. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, making me feel welcome and well taken care of throughout my visit. If you’re in Arugambay, I highly recommend stopping by Hideout Restaurant. It's a perfect spot for a memorable dining experience with great food, unique cocktails, and fantastic live music.

I had a hideout beef burger and a gin basil smash. The drinks and food were amazing. The interior and the garden look so elegant. Have a warm vibe and the staff is really friendly.

If you're looking for the best food in Arugambay, you're at the right place. They have a simple and unique menu that tastes amazing! (Great vegan dishes too) Definitely one of the best places for live music and a chilled beer in the garden!

Amazing place, well designed. Large nice garden too. Friendly service and super good cocktails. Location is a bit out of the centre of Arugam bay, so it was a bit quiet. Highly recommended.
