Big Freedia’s Guide to New Orleans | Eater New Orleans

"A French Quarter restaurant-turned-nightclub and a place to see and be seen — described in the text as another Larry Morrow creation and a favorite party destination. Big Freedia calls it, "so fabulous and is my favorite spot in town to throw parties at." - Clair Lorell

2 words, RIP OFF !! Me and my girl arrived at 10:30 on Thanksgiving and had to pay $60 to get in. At the time it was an entrance fee of $20 for women and $40 for men. While paying, the hostess mentioned all sections were sold out and that the entry fee would increase throughout the night. We went straight to the bar because all tables were reserved. We wanted a hookah but was not able to get one because there was no available tables and you can not smoke at the bar. Being that we wanted a hookah we went back to the front to see if it was possible for us to get a table because at the time of our arrival there was multiple available tables with reserved signs. In order for us to get a table we would have to get a bottle starting at $300, but again “ALL TABLES WERE SOLD OUT”. All of this occurred in less than a minute, so we requested a refund & was told we need to speak to the manager who said “Sorry, no refunds and that there was a sign all throughout the business” she then proceeded to say “Yall can get a hookah but once someone comes for their table, we would have to take the hookah and we would have to move from the table”. So unless you want to waste money, find somewhere else to have a great time!

Honestly, Hailey was the only reason this place has a high rating. Her service was impeccable, and she did her best to be quick. Everything was great until the end of the night. I went to the bathroom, and when I returned, I found that my food had been thrown out. The server, whose name I unfortunately didn’t catch, was a petite young lady with a middle part. She informed me that anything left on the table and not next to you is considered trash. When I asked her if a person's purse left on the table would also be considered trash, she refused to answer and displayed an extremely rude attitude from the outset. When I inquired about a possible solution since I intended to finish my meal and take the rest home, she simply said, "You're out of luck," showing no sympathy. Since I had paid in cash, the manager—though I can't verify if he actually was the manager—refused to do anything to rectify the situation. He wouldn't even offer to remake my meal, stating that they couldn’t reimburse me because I had paid in cash. I would recommend this place for the atmosphere, but don’t expect everyone to be as kind as Hailey, and don’t assume you can take your food home unless it’s just a one-off situation. As someone from out of town, this was a disappointing ending to my experience. Hailey's customer service had a positive impact on my evening, but this incident may lead me to reconsider recommending the place in the future, especially given similar comments I've heard in the past.

We are from out of town and got a section that we had to pay a 450 deposit for. Under the impression that we could buy 2 bottles min and pay 900 min…. We thought we could buy food and hydration packs to cover the rest…… Now that we are here we have to buy three bottles which will take us over the 900 plus tax and 180 in gratuity. If you’re okay with all the hidden “fees” or lies they tell you over text, you’ll be okay, but if you’re like me, it’s the first and last.

I was looking for places to go to bring my coworkers birthday in on our trip and found hide and seek on TikTok. I met someone that worked there earlier in the day and he told me it was the place to be. We got there at 12 and it was empty so I was skeptical. The place started to fill immediately. After about 10mins the place was full we were 2 shots in and the music was lit. We ended up in a section got Don and a hookah and the enjoyed the rest of the night. Highly recommend!

Reading the reviews and I’m feeling better having not been the only one (by far) to have a negative experience with this establishment and similar ones. Advertised to be open until 3am, charged at the door for them to close literally 20 minutes later. I made it a point to let the guy at the door know he could have informed me they were closing before charging me, of course he had smart remark. Just no integrity, taking the money of LOCALS with a smile.

Traveled from Georgia with some friends and family to celebrate my 50th birthday. Went to Drunk n karaoke and a time was had. The food was good, the DJ was fire and the atmosphere was amazing.

So, I went to this club last night, and honestly, it was a complete letdown. First off, the line to get in was ridiculous – we waited for like an hour, and it wasn't even worth it. Once inside, it was so crowded you could barely move, let alone dance. And the music? The DJ clearly had no idea what he was doing; it was just a bunch of random, jarring sounds. To top it off, the drinks were overpriced, and the bartenders looked like they hated their jobs. How u don’t take Apple Pay???? It’s 2025 pls get with the generation. Then u try and give them cash and they don’t got no change, I don’t even want leave a penny with someone with a bad attitude.Seriously, save your money and find somewhere else to spend your night.
