Hien Minh Tea House

Amazing experience at this place with truly exceptional customer service. We met the family owners, and their young son named Hien Minh served us, which made the visit even more interesting and special. The setting is beautiful — a lush garden with plenty of greenery and a small pond in the yard. They offer seating on the upstairs terrace as well as quieter, traditional-style indoor seating. We tried their specialty lotus green tea and white tea. Both were excellent, though we preferred the green tea. Overall, it was an experience we’ll remember forever, and we’ll definitely be coming back while we’re in Hanoi!

A tranquil haven tucked away from the busy streets of Hanoi. The tea house is a little hidden — marked by a yellow wall and two stone sculptures. I began my morning with a delicate lotus flower tea, prepared with such grace through a serene tea ceremony by the staff. As I sipped slowly, the house cat curled up in quiet slumber beneath the table behind us, adding to the calmness of the space. The atmosphere felt deeply healing, as though time itself had slowed. The green bean cake snack is a must-order — truly a chef’s kiss pairing to the taste of the tea. A beautiful spot to pause, breathe, and connect with the art of tea.

One of the best (if not the best) thing to do in Hanoi. Despite it being a Sunday and a family holiday and them just having returned from tea making in the mountains we were welcomed into their shop and home with so much warmth and hospitality. They are a beautiful family and have beautiful tea to match. We spent 2 hours chatting and sharing stories of their experiences and the quality and work that goes into making the tea is immense! I really want to come back in June/ July for the lotus experience. Thank you so much for such a unique and tranquil morning that we will remember forever. Grace and Jason 🥰

There is no doubt that this is the best teahouse in Hanoi. There are many kinds of tea in the store. You can order a pot of tea to taste it first. The staff will make tea for you first. The atmosphere in the store is very relaxing and the staff are very friendly. You can relax while making tea and also check if there are any cute cats in the store.

After a long search for some vietnamese tea, I finally came to this tea house, the place is quite unique and pleasant. The range of tea is limited but sufficient and the quality is fantastic. I recommend take some tea here before purchasing. The price are higher than in other store but the quality is far above anything you will find in Hanoï. It is a shame you cannot find other tea house in Vietnam with this mindset. Highly recommand

Important choice of teas from Vietnam. There is a display where you can smell samples of tea and get preliminary information about each variety just after having passed the door. Then to remove your shoes before to come in, sit on the floor or lay down ( that could be uncomfortable for some customers) , then select your tea from a very well documented menu. It’s a very relax place. The service in English was a bit limited but possible and every tea reasonably expensive. Not for every day but a nice address in a good location.

Lotus tea is put green tea leaves inside the lotus flower and frozen it. However there is a little bit stinky smell. It is a beautiful tea set and good service.

One among the many gems Hanoi has to offer. You will enter this tiny shop and be welcomed in a stunning garden where you can enjoy wonderful teas in total peace. Lovely.
